Complete derivation of equations of Polytropic and Isentropic efficiency, have also been demonstrated. The slight difference observed in the manually calculated values and Aspen HYSYS simulation, may be attributed to the calculation method of the software which is based on numerical integration.

There are three main methods for storing liquid ammonia: storage at ambient temperature and pressure in cylindrical vessels holding 2.5-150 tons; storage under pressure in spherical vessels holding thousands of tons; and storage at atmospheric pressure by reducing the temperature to -33°C in flat-bottomed cylindrical tanks holding over 3000 tons. Safety measures for ammonia storage include instrumentation and alarms for critical parameters like pressure, temperature, and level, as well as a flare system to safely vent excess pressure and ammonia detectors to monitor for leaks.

MRS Fall 2006 Bin Zhao Poster
Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) were synthesized at a large scale using laser ablation. The SWNTs were purified using nitric acid refluxing, controlled-pH water extraction, and hydrogen peroxide treatment. This purification process achieved SWNTs with metal residue less than 1% and among the highest reported carbon purity. The purified SWNTs were then used to create composite materials with elastin by controlling pH and temperature conditions. The properties of the resulting SWNT/elastin composite thin films were analyzed.

Ammonia Synthesis
1. Ammonia is industrially synthesized from nitrogen and hydrogen through the Haber process. It is produced on a large scale, exceeding 130 million tonnes annually.
2. The synthesis of ammonia is an equilibrium reaction that is exothermic and favored by high pressure and low temperature. Industrial production occurs at 400-500°C and 150-300 atmospheres using an iron catalyst.
3. Haber optimized the process by implementing a recycling system to increase space-time yield, improving economic production. His recycling design is still used as the basis for industrial ammonia synthesis.

The main goal of the study is to determine the singular or combined effects of crop rotation, tillage system, N fertility levels and sources on crop grain and biomass production, crop diseases, and soil attributes (nitrogen, phosphorus, organic matter and pH). Secondly, our goal is to assess the economics of some of the crops grown in the experimental area during the period of time from 2008-2014. The results presented in this summary show that composted manure can replace commercial fertilizer applications in a crop rotation system, maintaining the same level of yields and increasing profits during a 7-year period.
Nitrogen
Nitrogen is the most abundant gas in Earth's atmosphere, comprising 78%. Daniel Rutherford discovered nitrogen in 1772 through an experiment where he trapped air in an inverted bottle with a burning candle. The gas that remained after the candle burned out was nitrogen. Nitrogen has many important uses including in fertilizer production, rocket fuels, filling tires, and manufacturing steel and electronics.

The Home Ministry has asked for a ban on ammonium nitrate production in India due to safety risks. This would negatively impact ammonium nitrate producers. Stakeholders need to consider how important ammonium nitrate is for the country's economy and find ways to mitigate risks to producers. Urea manufacturing process
