lead to the highest chances of survival, this project uses a Titanic passenger database and decision
trees in order to classify survivors into two groups, survived and perished. Then using this
information, rank the most important factors regarding the likelihood of survival. From our

2 Creating a Decision Tree
We decided that the best to answer these questions would be to create a decision tree in order to
classify which passengers into two categories survived and perished. By creating a decision tree that
was able to classify most of the passengers statuses correctly, we know which of the factors were the
most important due to the fact that the most important factors would be located at the top of the tree.
The factors located on lower levels of the tree are less important, due to the fact that they are the
deciding factor for survival for a smaller group of people.
To create a decision tree, we begin by cleaning the data that we receive from the database. First, we
remove the names of the passengers, due to the fact that we can more easily refer to them by their
passenger ids. We also remove the information connected to cabin number, due

From my limited experience in interacting with others, I have found that dealing with people is an art.
It is something I have to continuously work on and practice to improve. Out of the people I deal with
every day, I believe older adults are the most challenging to deal with. We all have stories about our
grandparents who dislike our partner who always tells them to start exercising or that they should quit
smoking. Or how that grumpy old neighbour from next door keeps forgetting our name, although they
have known us for over ten years. I think working with older adults is difficult, and there are a number
of reasons why I find this to be the case. Here I shall deal with two.
Albert Einstein once said, his biggest fear when he gets old is memory failure. What I find most
challenging when dealing with older adults is that they can easily forget things. I have an 81 year old
friend who unfortunately spends most of his time in hospitals. I try to visit him once a week, and most
of the time I see him we usually have the same conversation. He asks the same questions, talks about
the same topics and sometimes repeats the exact same stories and jokes from the week before. It
saddens me to see him this way and I can see the frustration in the nurses and doctors who deal with
him. As a future dietitian, part of my job will be to set dietary programs and give nutrition advice to

Specifically, this article reports on: (a) the use of social media by students and faculty; (b) the use of
social media for academic practice in both traditional and distance learning formats; and (c) the pros
and cons of using social media for academic practice. Previous reviews of the literature have
suggested that access to technology is inequitable (Jackson, Ervin, Gardner, Schmitt, 2001; Morgan
VanLegen, 2005) and that students of color are less likely to use technology, and therefore, have fewer

The Scopes Trial was one of the most famous court cases ever. The case lasted from the 10 21 of July
in 1925. This means that there were eight trial days. This case all started when John Scopes was
accused of teaching evolution in school. In Monkey Trial begins by the History channel stated,

The law, which had been passed in March, made it a misdemeanor punishable by fine to teach any
theory that denies the story of the Divine Creation of man as taught in the Bible, and to teach instead

This announcement stated that they would offer their service to anyone who would like to go against
the newly passed Butler Law. Rappalye saw this as an opportunity to put Dayton on the map. This
plan did put Dayton on the map just like Rappalye hoped it would. He lured John Scopes a young
