Information Technology Issues And Procedures
The information technology issues and procedures involved in ensuring a successful business
contingency plan revolve around the effective system analysis and design process. The phases of
system analysis and design involved include preliminary study, feasibility study, system analysis,
system design, coding/programming, testing, implementation and finally maintenance. Preliminary
study is the first step, and it involves just a brief study of the business system to be put in place. This
enables the developers to have an overview of how the physical system will be. Once the management
approves the preliminary study, feasibility study commences. This process estimates the operational,
economical, technical and scheduled effectiveness of the system to users. System analysis involves
breaking down the entire business process into smaller processes and doing a detailed study on them.
This is with a view to understanding how information flows to improve the system processes
(Williams, Hardy Holgate, 2013). System design is the most vital phase where the system analysis
logic is implemented into a physical system. System design process commences with the general
design; where costs of the system building blocks are estimated. Then finally the detailed design
process is implemented which involves designing output and input of the system data. Programmers
then code the system design into a workable code Testing then follows; where a system test run is
done to identify and remove

Essay On Cognitive Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) was pioneered by Dr Aaron T. Beck in the 1960s, while he was
a psychiatrist at the University of Pennsylvania. Having studied and practiced psychoanalysis, Dr
Beck designed and carried out several experiments to test psychoanalytic concepts of depression. CBT
is a form of psychotherapy which is very effective in treating mental problems such as anxiety and
depression. It includes techniques such as exposure therapy, cognitive restructuring without exposure,
exposure therapy with cognitive restructuring and social skills training. CBT is usually administered
within sixteen regular sessions where patients learn to control their thinking and participate in
activities which greatly help to relieve symptoms of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Individuals usually develop negative thoughts and harmful ideas when they are in distress. If this
pattern of thinking continues for a long time, it can cause anxiety problems and depression. People can
learn to identify their distorted beliefs and modify them to more positive and rational thoughts by
training their brain to respond differently and think healthfully. Cognitive therapy focuses on teaching
patients to relax and to be in control of their thoughts and ideas by neutralising negative thoughts with
positive ones. In cognitive therapy, it s also important to teach patients to move forward from their
pasts, step by step, as the process of changing the pattern of thinking is gradual. Two very important
factors for a successful cognitive therapy are determination and focusing. Patients need to focus on
what exactly is causing their social anxiety first before they start working on overcoming the setbacks.
Needless to say, patients must be equipped with patience and determination to overcome anxiety as
the process takes time and positive results do not quickly

Hanfu s Role In Modern Society
As I mentioned before in the previous posts, comparing to the Japanese Kimono and Korea Hanbok,
Chinese Hanfu has a much longer history. However, in the contemporary society, Hanfu is the one
which has been ignored mostly. Except a small group of people who studied it, almost no one wear it
in daily life or even important ceremonies or holidays. More than 81% of Chinese citizens even do not
know about what it is.
Of course, this pathetic result came with a reason. Ever since 1644, the whole China was transformed
to Qing dynasty, which was ruled by Manchu, another nationality in China. However, I have already
introduced before that Hanfu is the traditional clothing for the Han nationality. The King of Qing
dynasty ordered to stop people from

Essay On Emos
On a Gloomy day, There was a boy who was walking to school, He had his black hoodie on, with his
slagging bag, Dragging his feet to his destination, I noticed some red lines on his wrist.
Now what I just saw was an example of an Emo
Emo
Now emos are people who are usually constantly depressed and sad, they Are ridiculed by society
unless they are famous.
Depressed emos do usually cut, they believe it s the only way to kill pain with pain
And they usually don t want to get noticed by random people so,,,the typical emo wears hoodies
And skin tight jeans,,and either black converse or black vans old school
When Emos see other emos

We re just suicidal kids telling other suicidal kids that suicide isn t the answer some emos would say.
But there are really emos that are good at hiding their emo ness. There are 2 general types of emos. An
emo who s afraid to show (meaning, he/she can blend with people, and his/her emo ness is perfectly
hidden), and the other one is perfectly shown, just like my friend.
Whats is happiness for emos?
Now I asked some emos and commonly they would say
Our music is our own happiness, and! When we find someone ,like a fellow emo, especially in person,
that s really....uhh feels like heaven
And if I ask them to dig deeper they d say
Oh..happiness...it s an I don t know to me. And it feels like I don t deserve it. Like it doesn t exist in
my vocabulary
Emos see happy people as people who ll never understand

Psychosocial Factors That Affect Adolescent s Behavior
Psychosocial Crisis in Adolescents
Adolescence is an interesting stage of development and is the fifth stage of Erikson stages of
development .According to Erikson adolescence is a time of searching for one s own identity and
developing a sense of autonomy. Trying on different selves is a common mental and behavioral
activity of adolescents who are in the process of developing an internally anchored sense of who they
are, rather than defining themselves by what others think or expect of them including their parents
(Erikson, 1968). Many normal and well behaved adolescents can be quite dramatic, impulsive and
egocentric in their behavior, but a depressed adolescent who is impulsive and dramatic can be
dangerous. The three journals reviewed explain the impact of psychosocial factors that affects
adolescent s behavior both on an individual and on a broader societal level, and psychosocial
environmental risk factors for suicide attempts in adolescents. Identity crisis is a necessary turning
point, a crucial moment, when development must move one way or another, marshaling resources of
growth, recovery, and further differentiation (Erikson 1968). In these articles certain factors around the
children that can influence this crisis in a positive or negative way were properly analyzed. Factors
considered were abusive experiences in childhood, which contribute to identity crisis and requires
social support. Parental support was mentioned in all the articles; this shows that

Women s Roles In American Culture
Oceania is the vast swath of the South Pacific islands that lie beyond Southeast Asia. Divided into
regions in 1831 by geographical, racial and linguistic distinctions by the French explorer Jules
Dumont d Urville (Kliener, p. 1104). While the islands were discovered by Europeans in the 16th
century, it is clear that these Oceanic cultures and people existed far in advance of their discovery.
Kliener states that these cultures and people inhabited the islands for tens of thousands of years (p.
1104). Expansive exploration and migration brought explorers to these islands through the 19th
century, the likes of which caused various types of turmoil for the local people. While colonization
and exploration caused riffs for the locals, it also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boundless describes the religious Mana based carving as traditionally created by ritual specialists
according to strict rules, which, if broken, would result in the deaths of the carver and the chief
(2017). According to tradition, these figures were displayed inside a Bai as a symbol of fertility,
protection from evil and spiritual rebirth (Kleiner, p. 1112; Newton, 2011). Once the villages of the
Oceania were fraught with explorers these Dilukai were perceived as a representation of a woman s
immorality (Boundless, 2017). Previous explorations of Oceania appear as if they were conducted
with blinders on. Much of the culture as it relates to women was speculative and incomplete, as
artifacts collected previously were primarily man made and spoke to a more violent side of the culture
(Kleiner, p. 1112). As exploration persists, more about the women of Oceania and their role in
religion, art and society is

Latin American Natural Disasters
Natural disasters can have a significant impact on the health of a countries population. A disaster is
defined as any occurrence that causes damage, ecological destruction, loss of human lives, or
deterioration of health and health services on a scale sufficient to warrant an extraordinary response. 1
Several factors play into how severly a country will be impacted following a natural disaster such as
their economic status, access to healthcare services, infrastructure, political economies, etc. As the
world is currently dealing with climate change affecting weather patterns countries in the Caribbean
and Latin America are more at risk now than ever to face natural disasters. Latin America and the
Caribbean faced a year of disaster in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The more developed socially and economically a country is the greater their chance of surviving a
natural disaster due to greater infrastructure, more access to healthcare and medical supplies, and
resources as well as more support for their citizens post disaster. Countries whose Gross National
Product relies on agriculture are left at a disadvantage and can be considered at risk. When flooding
interrupts the production and sale of agriculture a country will not be able to produce funds for
recovery following a natural disaster. Infrastructure in a country also directly relates to morbidity
following a disaster. Weaker infrastructure contributes to a greater rate of morbidity due to the fact that
more people can fall victim to flooding, drowning, and can be killed if trapped under infrastructure.
Following Hurricane Maria and Irma The country that was most affected by hurricane Maria was
Dominica, with over 90% of the island infrastructure destroyed and critically damaged water,
electricity and communication services. Its death rate at 37 deaths per 100,000 Due to their
infrastructure power in Puerto Rico was knocked out entirely and has still not recovered to this
day. With a lack of power less patients who were injured could be treated, several were left with no
means of contact to send for help resulting in many deaths. According to the Pan American Health
Organization (PAHO) The highest total mortality count was in Puerto Rico with 51 deaths, followed
by Dominica with 27 and Saint Martin and Cuba, both with a total of 10 deaths.

An Example Of Genus Deliberativum Essay
Out of the three genus causarum: genus deliberativum, genus indiciale, and genus demonstrativum, I
argue that Williamson s speech is an example of genus deliberativum. According to Roland Barthes
rhetorical tree, there are six attributes assigned to the oratorical genres: audience, end, subject, time,
reasoning, commonplaces. For the deliberative genre, the audience is members of an assembly, the
end is to persuade/dissuade, the subject is useful/harmful, the time is future, the reasoning is exempla,
and the commonplaces is possible/impossible (Barthes 72).
In this case, Williamson s goal was to persuade the members of New Zealand s parliament, or member
of an assembly, to accept the outcome of marriage equality bill (especially those who oppose it.) In
terms of time, Williamson alluded to the fact that the bill had already passed. However, he used the
future tense to describe the projected effects of this bill. He presented his argument to this body of
deciders and argued that the bill was a reasonable and useful piece of legislation that was not going to
harm anyone, but would improve the lives of the LGBTQ community. By using examples in his
speech to express various concerns about the bill, he was able to challenge the reasonableness of the
arguments against the bill and therefore make his point clear that the world will carry on.

The Effects Of Yellowstone Volcanic Complex On The World
Introduction
Yellowstone volcano is one of the most explosive, active silicic volcanic fields in the world and is
classified as a super volcano . Its Late Quaternary history, in terms of ages, sizes and frequency of
eruptions, has been well documented (Farrell et al., 2014). Understanding its properties will help us to
better understand the hazards it poses, both now and in the future. As it is protected from geothermal
energy or mineral exploration and development, Yellowstone provides a unique opportunity to
research an undisturbed major volcanic system and the temporal and spatial changes that occur
naturally (Hurwitz Lowenstern, 2014).
This report discusses the history of Yellowstone volcanic complex over the past 2.1 million years,
eruptive style, compositions, associated hazards and the structure of the magma chamber. In addition,
we look at areas into which research is currently occurring or should in the future, and discuss a
strategy for monitoring and forecasting of future activity.
History
Over the past 2.1 million years, three large eruptions with widespread effects have occurred in the
Yellowstone Plateau Volcanic Field (YPVF) (Hurwitz Lowenstern, 2014). The first of these was 2.059
± 0.004 Ma (Lanphere et al., 2002), and produced the 2450 km3 Huckleberry Ridge Tuff. The second
was at 1.285 ± 0.004 Ma (Lanphere et al., 2002), producing the 280 km3 Mesa Falls Tuff and the
Henrys Fork caldera. The most recent of the three occurred 0.639 ± 0.002

Difference Between Group Work And Group Work
 Introduction
In today s modern era of this world work is very important for everyone. No one can survive in this
world without any work. Work is a activity where we can apply our ideas in an particular situation. We
can t define work as a single type or term because work is comes with its number of parts and types
like SOCIAL, PROJECT WORK and much more types. In this paper I am going to flash a light on
Group work and Individual work and which is better from both of them.
1. Group Work
Group work is also known as team work when two or more than two persons are working on a same
project is known as group work. In group work we can share our ideas with our co partners and give
that idea a new shape. Group work is a type of voluntary association that increases the total output of
the activity rather than it is done by individually.
More ideas
In a group every person had its own ideas, prospects and experiences. In a group every person is
belong from an different backgrounds and have a different experiences so that s why every person
have an different ideas on his basis that s why we can get lot ideas in our group work.
Increase Productivity
By making actions and decisions together (regardless of their position). By working in a group
chances of mistake is very less. By spending too much hours with each group member on the
discussion about an work than we get very effective results which increase the productivity of our
work.
Better problem solving

Justification Of Silas s Actions In The Da Vinci Code
Justification of Silas s Actions
In the book, The Da Vinci Code, Silas quest to find the Holy Grail first is justified because of his
goals, his past, and his faith. Firstly, he regrets the deeds he has done trying to find the grail, such as
killing the Priory leaders, but his goal to save the Church and bring the world to God, in his mind,
outweighs the wrongs he has done. He believes the teachings of Jesus, .. the message Silas had been
taught from the beginning, and the message he held in his heart. And yet this was the message the
enemies of Christ now threatened to destroy, and that by protecting the message of Christ by doing
what he must to find the Holy Grail, his actions were justified. Secondly, Silas has been mistreated his

Updating Military Strategy
Since 9/11/01 the United States has been under attack by terrorism and George W. Bush started the
war against terrorism but his presidency has ended. Since then Barack Obama has taken over as
president and he has a new strategy, which consists of, protecting our homeland by constantly
reducing our vulnerabilities, adapting, and updating our defenses, killing Osama bin Laden and many
of his top Lieutenants, and giving law enforcement new ways to counter terrorism. President Obama
believes in order to hinder terrorism the US must increase the efficacy of our law enforcement,
actively seek out to take out al Qaeda s leaders, and constantly decrease our vulnerabilities.
9/11/01, the day the United States of America lost its security, since then the US has been updating our
defenses. Barack Obama is updating our defenses by giving law enforcement new survallience tools
and weapons. Rather than defining our entire national security policy, this counterterrorism strategy is
one part of President Obama s larger National Security Strategy, which seeks to advance our enduring
national security interests, including our security, prosperity, respect for universal values and global

The Role Of Homeless Veterans In Texas
In Texas today there about 16,000 homeless veterans. Veterans who previously put their lives on the
line for this country, veterans who, at the very least, deserve a bed to sleep on at night. This is not only
an issue that needs to be addressed in Texas, but also an issue that should be a top priority. Because
Texas has the third largest population of homeless veterans, we should be doing more to help those
who served in combat and are now living on the streets. Although Austin has recently helped lower the
population of homeless veteran, the bill SB 267 the you wrote has made it harder to find appropriate
housing for these veterans. Understanding that the bill was passed to protect private property rights, it
was nevertheless detrimental to the overall goal of finding a place to live for the homeless veterans on
the street. Due to the bill, finding housing that would be financially appropriate has proven to be more
difficult. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

their help. With the right programs and funding, Texas could do more to help homeless veterans, like
provide a bed for each one on the street, or have enough shelters and outreach programs so those in

Reflection On The Scarlet Ibis
The symbol I chose as the focal point on my poster was the Scarlet Ibis (the bird). I chose this because
this was not only the title of the original story, but it was one of the main ideas in the story. When
Doodle found the bird outside, all he wanted to do was bury it when it died, and I think that was a
really special part of the story. I think this really shows who Doodle is, and how his family reacts to it
shows that they know he s sensitive so they treat him with kindness. The theme of the narrative is
perseverance because at first, the brother and his parents need to persevere through having this
disappointment of a child/brother. The brother perseveres through having a not so brother and possibly
not ever being able to have someone to do stuff with. Doodle ... Show more content on

Human Aggression In Frankenstein And The Modern Prometheus...
The last full novel we read, Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley, touches on
human aggression much more directly than Candide or The Overcoat. Frankenstein, or, The Modern
Prometheus starts with a create but ends with a monster. The creature suffers an extraordinary amount
in an amazingly short timespan. It is essentially the not funny version of Candide. Initially, I felt
extreme pity for the creature. His only family left him (i.e., Victor Frankenstein) and he had little
knowledge of his world. Even after murdering, I still pitied the creature. Victor, in my opinion, was
the real killer and was guilty of negligence that lead to someone dying. Shelley s novel prompted the
most logical arguments out of the books we read. Is the creature guilty? And as I have already said, I
did not think he was. But as the novel unfolded, I found myself feeling extremely sorry for the
monster while simultaneously slowly realizing his guilt in the situation, which makes him a monster.
When Victor meets his creation on the mountain is when my opinion started to shift, but when the
monster plans revenge on Victor and executes his wife. No amount of ignorance and lack of self
control excuses a being from first degree murder, which is willful, deliberate, and premeditated. This
self awareness of a reader s own opinion of the monster can measure one s morality and is the true
horror of the novel. Yes, all the events that happen the monster are horrific in their own right. But,

Disadvantages Of Membrane Distillation
As time goes by, the fresh water supplement for living on the earth planet will become a serious
problem [1 3]. In addition, the Middle East is mentioned as one of the poorest regions in all over the
world in terms of water resources with less than 1% of the total available global freshwater per capita
[4, 5]. Therefore, one of the strategic options to satisfy the current and future request for fresh water in
countries established around Gulf is to build up desalination units. So, immediate need has arisen to
construct economic units for water desalination. Nowadays, it has been proved that membrane
separation processes have several advantages for desalination and water reuse of contaminated
resources in comparison to the conventional separation methods [1, 6 8]. ... Show more content on

MD is a thermally driven separation process that utilizes a hydrophobic, membrane as a contactor
media between two fluids kept at different temperatures where the separation is obtained by the mass
transfer of the vapor phase. The driving force of the process is given by a partial vapor pressure
difference that caused from the temperature difference [13 17]. Two advantages of MD are, the
process performance is not highly affected by high feed salinity as see water, and has the theoretical
ability to reach 100% salt rejection [13, 18, 19]. There are commonly four types of membranes
arrangements for MD process: Direct Contact Membrane Distillation (DCMD), Vacuum Membrane
Distillation (VMD), Air Gap Membrane Distillation (AGMD), and the Sweeping Gas Membrane
Distillation (SGMD) [18, 20 22]. AGMD configuration is appropriated for water desalination [23, 24],
on the other hand water gap showed higher thermal efficiency and less internal heat loss in
comparison to AGMD [18, 25]. Therefore, these two arrangements are commonly used for the see

Green Libraries are more than just Buildings

Aulisio (2013) is an assistant professor in the Weinberg Memorial Library. He is the Evening

from Drexel and his MLA from the University of Pennsylvania. In this article, the author argues that a
green library is something more than just the architecture. I agree with the author in the context of

There few major issues presented by the author. That is the importance of learning about
sustainability, incorporating sustainability into librarianship, library as a teaching tool and also
sustainable operations and outreach. The first of this is the importance of learning about sustainability.
The author come out with his own statement that sound he posit that a true green library is one that

aspects of academic librarianship. By engaging in these activities, librarians can support an ethical and

Rhetorical Analysis Of The Perils Of Indifference
A Rhetorical Analysis of The Perils of Indifference Distinguished Jewish writer and Holocaust
survivor, Elie Wiesel, in his speech, The Perils of Indifference , discusses the effects indifference has
on one s humanity in both? societal and individual terms. Wiesel s purpose is to illustrate the plight of
those who suffer because of indifference and to appeal to the audience s consciences. He adopts a
sympathetic, haunting, and accusatory tone in order to convey to audiences that society had not
learned and many victims have and will continue to suffer injustices because of indifference.
Ultimately, through the means of syntax devices such as juxtaposition, anaphora, diction, and
rhetorical questioning, Weisel bolsters the supporting logic of his claim that indifference is a grave
malady of humanity and to amend such an ailment one must look no further than the self. Wiesel s
comprehensive speech, The Perils of Indifference can be divided into three definitive sections: the
contextualization of the suffering that occurs both past and present, an explication of indifference , and
lastly Wiesel s earnest undertaking and rhetorical questioning of why we practice indifference. In view
of this classification, the first step Wiesel takes is to properly address his audience and the authority
individuals such as the President, Mrs. Clinton, Ambassadors, congress members possess. This, in and
of itself, allows Wiesel to establish a sincere and concise tone. As Wiesel

Analyzing Cyclical Steam Injections Of A Heavy Oil Reservoir
For our senior project, we analyzed cyclical steam injections in a heavy oil reservoir using reservoir
simulations. We began the project as though we had been contracted to analyze a cyclical steam
injection project in a pay zone similar to the Clearwater formation in Cold Lake, Alberta. In this
heavy, dead oil reservoir the facilities, injectors, and producer are already set up in the field with a
seven spot orientation. The company wants further analysis on the project once the market declined,
requesting reservoir simulations be conducted over a six year period before proceeding. Through the
program CMG STARS, we were able to simulate production in a field with similar characteristics,
employing field data from technical papers referenced in this paper. The complex equations
simultaneously solved in CMG STARS including multiphase fluid flow and conservation equations
make the program an invaluable reservoir evaluation tool. Sensitivity analysis was conducted to
monitor the production responses to changes in steam injection parameters, compiling over 40
simulations. The injection was optimized with a total of 35 simulations after identifying the most
significant parameters impacting production. Net present values and cumulative production of oil and
water were analyzed to construct a recommendation for the project. In this paper, we will discuss the
model construction, sensitivity analysis, optimization, and economic analysis in greater detail.

Analyzing The Poem Slam Poetry
This poem contains three stanzas with seven lines per each, and the rhyme scheme is A, B, A, B, C, D,
C. In this poem I attempted to mimic Maya in that I spoke of a topic that was deeply important to me,
told a story, and expressed my opinions. I noticed that Maya s writing as well as other Post
Modern/Contemporary poets write about issues they deem important, or feelings, moreover, how to
put feelings into words. Slam Poetry is often an extreme example of this, and has come into popularity
in the Post Modern and Contemporary Era.
Furthermore, as far as style goes Maya does write free verse relatively often, but other times there is a
semi distinct or distinct rhyme scheme. She doesn t follow the same pattern in every poem she writes,

Literary Analysis Of Esperanza Rising
Literary Analysis of Esperanza Rising
Symbolism is the use of symbols to represent ideas or qualities. It is a figure of speech that is used
when an author wants to create certain moods or emotions, deepen the story s message, and secretly
tell the readers what could happen later in the story. The novel Esperanza Rising, by Pam Munoz
Ryan, is a story of struggle, hardship and determination following Esperanza, her family, and servants
as they flee from Mexico to California. The author uses a specific fruit as the title of each chapter to
symbolize emotions or events occurring within the chapters. Three specific chapters which truly use
symbolism to signify emotions are Figs, Plums, and Guavas. Figs represent a new beginning while

bowel movements and diaper changes. Esperanza was able to overcome the challenging day but the
plums will likely be a symbol of her and struggle to her and the author uses the figs as a literary

Essay on Prayer in Public Schools
Prayer in Public Schools
An issue that has been constantly debated for years is whether voluntary prayer in public schools
should be permitted. A student should be allowed to pray voluntarily at the beginning of each school
day based on many reasons. Prayer based on moral beliefs reinforce good citizenship as defined by
our forefathers. A daily reminder of a need for the belief of good over evil is a necessary part of this
society. Daily voluntary school prayer should be re instated in public schools due to three reasons, the
historical basis of the beginning of the United States government, the serious moral decline since
prayer has been outlawed, and the government infringement on the constitutional guarantee of
individual freedom ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another reason for reinstating volunteer prayer in public schools comes from the fact that since prayer
has been prohibited in public schools, the morality of the nation has declined. Since the Supreme
Court outlawed prayer in public schools in 1960, the nation has seen a steady moral decline. There is a
strong correlation between the expulsion of prayer in public schools and moral decline. Between the
years of 1960 and 1990, the divorce rate has more than doubled, teenage pregnancy and teenage
suicide has increased 250%. Child abuse is now at an all time high and since the end of school prayer,
abortions have gone up more than 1000%. Universal principles of a civilized society are mandated by
the Bible and re enforce by prayer. In the words of Ben Franklin, ? When we were subject to danger
from the war with Great Britain, we met daily in this room to pray for Divine protection. Our prayers,
Sir, were heard and graciously answered??Have we now forgotten our powerful Friend? Do we no
longer need his assistance?? The coming together to pray daily provide support, re enforcement and
fellowship to keep minds focused on good instead of evil. Many psychological studies have found that
people who pray daily have spiritual faith in goodness as presented in Christianity suffer less
depression and are less likely to commit suicide. Parents teach their children morals at home. These

Piaget s Theory Of The Stages Of Development Essay
Conservation is the ability to understand that as an object changes form, it does not change the overall
amount or mass. In Piaget s theory, he describes that during the pre operational stage of development
children are often incapable of understanding the concept of conservation, the ages in this stage
generally range from 2 6 years old (Siegler Alibali, 2005). It isn t until the concrete operational stage
that children have the ability to understand conservation. During this stage children range from the
ages of 7 12 years old. In order to observe the changes in between stages, I chose to administer Piaget
s conservation of solid quantity to two different children. The task administered was to see if the two
children would be able to see a transformation when I rolled out one of the two balls of clay. Piaget
illustrated a stage model that explains the different stages of development starting at birth and
continuing to twelve years old and onwards. In the task that I will be conducting it involves two of the
four stages. The first stage is the pre operational period. During this time children are exhibiting
egocentrism as well as using symbolic representations, such as symbols or using signs. When children
are in the pre operational stage they do not have the ability to see transformations, instead they focus
on fixed states. It is not until the concrete operational stage that children are able to see these
transformations between states. The inability to see

Personal Narrative On Getting Chased By Goats
This I Believe
Getting chased by goats was a fun experience. I believe that being cautious and careful is incredibly
important, and to not take warnings lightly. I believe this because being cautious could save your life
and a life of another person. Also, taking warnings lightly could seriously mess things up for people
and cause mild to serious injury. This event happened in San Rafael, Jalisco, Mexico a couple of
summers ago. My mom had just us not to go out and play with the animals, I was maybe ten or eleven
and wanted to go over to the goats to see and pet them. My younger brother, Demian, and my two
cousins were also there, and they too wanted to pet the goats. The goats were in a rodeo like arena, so
we could walk on top of the walls and get to a red platform overlooking the place. Us seven through
eleven year olds jumped off the platform and ran over to the goats on the end of the other side. When
we were maybe ten feet from the goats, they looked up and saw us, and they began to chase us. ...

better. As I Grabbed the latter to go up, my brother reached the top, but my cousin was still maybe

Essay on Dual-Earner Family
In dual earner families, the father s willingness to share responsibilities is a crucial factor. If he is
uninvolved, the mother will carry a double load, at home, and work, which leads to fatigue, distress,
and little time and energy for children (Berk, 2009). The challenges that Deb, Ron and their children
face are both parents work on none stop schedule. Deb and Ron interview gave insight as to how busy
they are; they also talked about how their typical day goes. For example in Ron s interview, he
discusses how his day starts. He wakes up at 5:30am, gets himself ready for work, open blinds to let in

From the interview, Deb and Ron did not share if they had even attempted to address their schedule
and the lack of family time they give the children. Challenges that may present itself within this case
of Deb and Ron being a dual earner family, is time management, quality time for each other, as well as
quality time for their children, Deb and Ron need to look at a way to achieve work and life balance. In
identifying, the first possible key issue is time management it is something that stands out for Deb and
Ron. If they apply family time management skills, they can improve their quality of family time. One
key component in sharing quality time together is being clam and focused on family activities.
Secondly, Ron and Deb may find it helpful to do family goal setting; in order for this to work, they
have to both be willing to put in the time. However, before Ron and Deb can be successful at this they
must make decisions about their priorities, such as what are their needs and the needs of different
family members? For example, Charlie may, need more play time with dad, and one on one cuddle
time with mom. Thirdly, they could use a family calendar; this tool will help with family scheduling.
The next issues Ron and Deb will need to address are making sure they are giving their children
quality time. This time is important in their social development stages; children are learning to form
and value relationships with others. Intimate and caring relationships are

A Comparison Of The Unites States And Canada s Health...
A Comparison of the Unites States and Canada s Health Care System America has a very disorganized
and fragmented healthcare system while Canada has a very structured and established system. Since
there is no healthcare system in the world that is considered perfect all countries implement polices
that they believe will be the most beneficial for their residents, The United States and Canada s
systems are both constantly being reformed to fit the current needs their residents however there are
strengths and weaknesses for both of the systems.
United States Health Care System and it s Benefits The United States health care system is considered
broken because we do not have one universal system. Within the American system there are different
types of health insurance such as private, group or self insurance. The United States works on a fee for
service system so the providers receive money for every service they provide therefore the medical
bills for Americans are significantly high. Before the Affordable Care Act was implemented a few
forms of government programs were Medicaid, the Children s Health insurance Program and
Medicare. Medicaid and Children s Health Insurance Program were to help insure the low income
citizens and their children. CHIP and Medicaid are both funded by the government and state but
administered by the individual states. CHIP covers children whose family income is up to 200% of the
poverty level. Medicaid insures low income citizens but can also

PORTFOLIO ANALYSIS
INTRODUCTION Organizations market a mix of products or services or both. These constitute the
offering that is made through the strategic window. Central to the success or failure of a business is the
health of its product (or service) mix. A starting point is the product life cycle concept. This is a useful
conceptual framework within which to study how firms can vary their marketing strategies though of
course as we shall see in later chapters they do have to take other factors into account. There seems to
be little doubt, however, that at different stages in the product life cycle certain marketing strategies
seem to be more appropriate than others. The life cycle concept also points to the different ... Show

One problem that has been found in trying to make use of the product life cycle concept as a
management tool is that many products do not appear to perform in the market place as it suggests.
They seem to bypass some stages while getting stuck at other stages. Moreover, they may even come
into vogue again after a period of going out of fashion. These observations have brought about
criticisms of the product life cycle as a useful planning tool.
EXHIBIT 2.1 SWANSEA ENGINEERING DIFFICULTIES IN USING THE PRODUCT LIFE
CYCLE CONCEPT Swansea Engineering makes wire for industrial uses. Applications range from
wire for cables to carry high voltage electricity to wire for winding on small electric motors for
incorporation in both industrial and domestic products. The firm has tried to use the life cycle concept
to explain generic sales in the market and sales of its own products. Difficulties encountered include
the defining of product markets and the separation from natural growth and decline in the market and
the effects of recession. Indeed in recent years it has proved extremely difficult to assess exactly
where many products and markets are in relationship to their anticipated life cycles. Ironing out the
fluctuations caused by economic recessions and mini booms causes one of the major problems. In

Depictions of Mark Zuckerburg in The Social Network
In the film The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, the character Mark Zuckerberg is depicted
as an arrogant, egocentric person who will lie and harm the people around him to get to where he
wants. Zuckerberg s ex girlfriend Erica Albright brakes up with him and as a result of his emotions of
that night, he creates a website that becomes very popular within hours of being up, and ultimately
crashes the schools connection. The name Zuckerberg then becomes very popular, and the Winklevoss
twins reach out to him for help to build a new innovating social networking website. This is the
beginning of a giant chain reaction that each decision leads to another bigger conflict. Mark
Zuckerbergs arrogance is seen throughout the entire film, but his arrogance is predominantly seen in
the opening scene, when Zuckerberg is with Erica Albright, at a bar, and not listening to a word of
what she is saying. He says how do you distinguish yourself in a population of people who all got
1600 on their SAT s? to later acknowledge he was talking about himself (Fincher, 2010). This is the
opening scene and we already know a few things about the character character: he is very smart, he
knows it, and he likes to show it off. As a result of his arrogance, Zuckerberg loses his girlfriend. It
might seem as if Mark Zuckerberg is a robot, but he can understand emotions. It s just that they do not
rank as high in his mind as they do in others. When Zuckerberg drunkenly wrote the blog post

Florence is home to many wonderful painters and artists during the renaissance. The one who did the
ceiling of the cathedral that is shown is Giorgio Vasari. he was a renaissance painter, architect, and
author. This artifact shows how extravagant they had gotten with their art, using perspective, shading
and the influences of humanism to paint. This shows the true art of this time period.
Why was Florence important?
Florence is arguably the starting place of the renaissance. With many different artists there, the Medici
Family in control and a very strong trading system, it was a very powerful city state during the

This artifact is in Libon. This statue is dedicated to Henry the Navigator. He sent a lot of people to go

Why was Lisbon Important?
Lisbon is the main area that Henry the Navigator sent out his ships to discover the new world. This
became a very popular trading depot because of its location and finding new things during
exploration. This was a place where the Colombian Exchange happened, especially with what is now
Brazil. This is also where Ferdinand Magellan set off to sail completely around the earth.
The Lamentation by Scorpion Pulzone shows exactly what Rome was like during the counter
reformation. This painting shows how the catholic church wanted the art to look. They wanted all art
to be focused on Jesus Christ and his Resurrection. During the counter reformation, the Catholic
Church tried to bring all the attention back onto God. They wanted God to be the main focus, as seen
in this painting, not anything

Biofortification as a novel micronutrient intervention
Pharmaceutical supplementation, food fortification, dietary diversification and biofortification are the
current potential policy interventions to solve the problem of the deficiencies. Pharmaceutical option
refers to the distribution of free supplements while promoting the education on the importance of the
nutrients. Industrial fortification refers to the insertion of micronutrients in staple crops, of rice and
wheat, which takes place during flour milling post harvesting [4]. Dietary diversification is a bigger
focus on education, promotion of diverse diets, improving access to locally produced foods naturally
rich in vital micronutrients. Biofortification is the solution of the near future intended to be pro rural
and pro poor health intervention. Enhancing the bioavailability in these staple crops while increasing
the production of micronutrients will without doubt be revolutionary in solving the hidden hunger that
plagues these malnourished areas. Non staple crops including strawberries (vitamin C), maize and
canola (vitamin E), potatoes and mustard (beta carotene), carrots (calcium), lettuce (iron) could also
be biofortified creating better products for multiple crops. Biofortification or genetic modifications use
staple crops as its food vehicle and, therefore, can easily target the micronutrient

  • 2. Information Technology Issues And Procedures The information technology issues and procedures involved in ensuring a successful business contingency plan revolve around the effective system analysis and design process. The phases of system analysis and design involved include preliminary study, feasibility study, system analysis, system design, coding/programming, testing, implementation and finally maintenance. Preliminary study is the first step, and it involves just a brief study of the business system to be put in place. This enables the developers to have an overview of how the physical system will be. Once the management approves the preliminary study, feasibility study commences. This process estimates the operational, economical, technical and scheduled effectiveness of the system to users. System analysis involves breaking down the entire business process into smaller processes and doing a detailed study on them. This is with a view to understanding how information flows to improve the system processes (Williams, Hardy Holgate, 2013). System design is the most vital phase where the system analysis logic is implemented into a physical system. System design process commences with the general design; where costs of the system building blocks are estimated. Then finally the detailed design process is implemented which involves designing output and input of the system data. Programmers then code the system design into a workable code Testing then follows; where a system test run is done to identify and remove ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay On Cognitive Therapy Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) was pioneered by Dr Aaron T. Beck in the 1960s, while he was a psychiatrist at the University of Pennsylvania. Having studied and practiced psychoanalysis, Dr Beck designed and carried out several experiments to test psychoanalytic concepts of depression. CBT is a form of psychotherapy which is very effective in treating mental problems such as anxiety and depression. It includes techniques such as exposure therapy, cognitive restructuring without exposure, exposure therapy with cognitive restructuring and social skills training. CBT is usually administered within sixteen regular sessions where patients learn to control their thinking and participate in activities which greatly help to relieve symptoms of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Individuals usually develop negative thoughts and harmful ideas when they are in distress. If this pattern of thinking continues for a long time, it can cause anxiety problems and depression. People can learn to identify their distorted beliefs and modify them to more positive and rational thoughts by training their brain to respond differently and think healthfully. Cognitive therapy focuses on teaching patients to relax and to be in control of their thoughts and ideas by neutralising negative thoughts with positive ones. In cognitive therapy, it s also important to teach patients to move forward from their pasts, step by step, as the process of changing the pattern of thinking is gradual. Two very important factors for a successful cognitive therapy are determination and focusing. Patients need to focus on what exactly is causing their social anxiety first before they start working on overcoming the setbacks. Needless to say, patients must be equipped with patience and determination to overcome anxiety as the process takes time and positive results do not quickly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Hanfu s Role In Modern Society As I mentioned before in the previous posts, comparing to the Japanese Kimono and Korea Hanbok, Chinese Hanfu has a much longer history. However, in the contemporary society, Hanfu is the one which has been ignored mostly. Except a small group of people who studied it, almost no one wear it in daily life or even important ceremonies or holidays. More than 81% of Chinese citizens even do not know about what it is. Of course, this pathetic result came with a reason. Ever since 1644, the whole China was transformed to Qing dynasty, which was ruled by Manchu, another nationality in China. However, I have already introduced before that Hanfu is the traditional clothing for the Han nationality. The King of Qing dynasty ordered to stop people from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Psychosocial Factors That Affect Adolescent s Behavior Psychosocial Crisis in Adolescents Adolescence is an interesting stage of development and is the fifth stage of Erikson stages of development .According to Erikson adolescence is a time of searching for one s own identity and developing a sense of autonomy. Trying on different selves is a common mental and behavioral activity of adolescents who are in the process of developing an internally anchored sense of who they are, rather than defining themselves by what others think or expect of them including their parents (Erikson, 1968). Many normal and well behaved adolescents can be quite dramatic, impulsive and egocentric in their behavior, but a depressed adolescent who is impulsive and dramatic can be dangerous. The three journals reviewed explain the impact of psychosocial factors that affects adolescent s behavior both on an individual and on a broader societal level, and psychosocial environmental risk factors for suicide attempts in adolescents. Identity crisis is a necessary turning point, a crucial moment, when development must move one way or another, marshaling resources of growth, recovery, and further differentiation (Erikson 1968). In these articles certain factors around the children that can influence this crisis in a positive or negative way were properly analyzed. Factors considered were abusive experiences in childhood, which contribute to identity crisis and requires social support. Parental support was mentioned in all the articles; this shows that ... • 7. Women s Roles In American Culture Oceania is the vast swath of the South Pacific islands that lie beyond Southeast Asia. Divided into regions in 1831 by geographical, racial and linguistic distinctions by the French explorer Jules Dumont d Urville (Kliener, p. 1104). While the islands were discovered by Europeans in the 16th century, it is clear that these Oceanic cultures and people existed far in advance of their discovery. Kliener states that these cultures and people inhabited the islands for tens of thousands of years (p. 1104). Expansive exploration and migration brought explorers to these islands through the 19th century, the likes of which caused various types of turmoil for the local people. While colonization and exploration caused riffs for the locals, it also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Boundless describes the religious Mana based carving as traditionally created by ritual specialists according to strict rules, which, if broken, would result in the deaths of the carver and the chief (2017). According to tradition, these figures were displayed inside a Bai as a symbol of fertility, protection from evil and spiritual rebirth (Kleiner, p. 1112; Newton, 2011). Once the villages of the Oceania were fraught with explorers these Dilukai were perceived as a representation of a woman s immorality (Boundless, 2017). Previous explorations of Oceania appear as if they were conducted with blinders on. Much of the culture as it relates to women was speculative and incomplete, as artifacts collected previously were primarily man made and spoke to a more violent side of the culture (Kleiner, p. 1112). As exploration persists, more about the women of Oceania and their role in religion, art and society is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Latin American Natural Disasters Natural disasters can have a significant impact on the health of a countries population. A disaster is defined as any occurrence that causes damage, ecological destruction, loss of human lives, or deterioration of health and health services on a scale sufficient to warrant an extraordinary response. 1 Several factors play into how severly a country will be impacted following a natural disaster such as their economic status, access to healthcare services, infrastructure, political economies, etc. As the world is currently dealing with climate change affecting weather patterns countries in the Caribbean and Latin America are more at risk now than ever to face natural disasters. Latin America and the Caribbean faced a year of disaster in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The more developed socially and economically a country is the greater their chance of surviving a natural disaster due to greater infrastructure, more access to healthcare and medical supplies, and resources as well as more support for their citizens post disaster. Countries whose Gross National Product relies on agriculture are left at a disadvantage and can be considered at risk. When flooding interrupts the production and sale of agriculture a country will not be able to produce funds for recovery following a natural disaster. Infrastructure in a country also directly relates to morbidity following a disaster. Weaker infrastructure contributes to a greater rate of morbidity due to the fact that more people can fall victim to flooding, drowning, and can be killed if trapped under infrastructure. Following Hurricane Maria and Irma The country that was most affected by hurricane Maria was Dominica, with over 90% of the island infrastructure destroyed and critically damaged water, electricity and communication services. Its death rate at 37 deaths per 100,000 Due to their infrastructure power in Puerto Rico was knocked out entirely and has still not recovered to this day. With a lack of power less patients who were injured could be treated, several were left with no means of contact to send for help resulting in many deaths. According to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) The highest total mortality count was in Puerto Rico with 51 deaths, followed by Dominica with 27 and Saint Martin and Cuba, both with a total of 10 deaths. ... • 10. An Example Of Genus Deliberativum Essay Out of the three genus causarum: genus deliberativum, genus indiciale, and genus demonstrativum, I argue that Williamson s speech is an example of genus deliberativum. According to Roland Barthes rhetorical tree, there are six attributes assigned to the oratorical genres: audience, end, subject, time, reasoning, commonplaces. For the deliberative genre, the audience is members of an assembly, the end is to persuade/dissuade, the subject is useful/harmful, the time is future, the reasoning is exempla, and the commonplaces is possible/impossible (Barthes 72). In this case, Williamson s goal was to persuade the members of New Zealand s parliament, or member of an assembly, to accept the outcome of marriage equality bill (especially those who oppose it.) In terms of time, Williamson alluded to the fact that the bill had already passed. However, he used the future tense to describe the projected effects of this bill. He presented his argument to this body of deciders and argued that the bill was a reasonable and useful piece of legislation that was not going to harm anyone, but would improve the lives of the LGBTQ community. By using examples in his speech to express various concerns about the bill, he was able to challenge the reasonableness of the arguments against the bill and therefore make his point clear that the world will carry on. 2. • 11. The Effects Of Yellowstone Volcanic Complex On The World Introduction Yellowstone volcano is one of the most explosive, active silicic volcanic fields in the world and is classified as a super volcano . Its Late Quaternary history, in terms of ages, sizes and frequency of eruptions, has been well documented (Farrell et al., 2014). Understanding its properties will help us to better understand the hazards it poses, both now and in the future. As it is protected from geothermal energy or mineral exploration and development, Yellowstone provides a unique opportunity to research an undisturbed major volcanic system and the temporal and spatial changes that occur naturally (Hurwitz Lowenstern, 2014). This report discusses the history of Yellowstone volcanic complex over the past 2.1 million years, eruptive style, compositions, associated hazards and the structure of the magma chamber. In addition, we look at areas into which research is currently occurring or should in the future, and discuss a strategy for monitoring and forecasting of future activity. History Over the past 2.1 million years, three large eruptions with widespread effects have occurred in the Yellowstone Plateau Volcanic Field (YPVF) (Hurwitz Lowenstern, 2014). The first of these was 2.059 ± 0.004 Ma (Lanphere et al., 2002), and produced the 2450 km3 Huckleberry Ridge Tuff. The second was at 1.285 ± 0.004 Ma (Lanphere et al., 2002), producing the 280 km3 Mesa Falls Tuff and the Henrys Fork caldera. The most recent of the three occurred 0.639 ± 0.002 ... • 21. Human Aggression In Frankenstein And The Modern Prometheus... The last full novel we read, Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley, touches on human aggression much more directly than Candide or The Overcoat. Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus starts with a create but ends with a monster. The creature suffers an extraordinary amount in an amazingly short timespan. It is essentially the not funny version of Candide. Initially, I felt extreme pity for the creature. His only family left him (i.e., Victor Frankenstein) and he had little knowledge of his world. Even after murdering, I still pitied the creature. Victor, in my opinion, was the real killer and was guilty of negligence that lead to someone dying. Shelley s novel prompted the most logical arguments out of the books we read. Is the creature guilty? And as I have already said, I did not think he was. But as the novel unfolded, I found myself feeling extremely sorry for the monster while simultaneously slowly realizing his guilt in the situation, which makes him a monster. When Victor meets his creation on the mountain is when my opinion started to shift, but when the monster plans revenge on Victor and executes his wife. No amount of ignorance and lack of self control excuses a being from first degree murder, which is willful, deliberate, and premeditated. This self awareness of a reader s own opinion of the monster can measure one s morality and is the true horror of the novel. Yes, all the events that happen the monster are horrific in their own right. But, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, the Middle East is mentioned as one of the poorest regions in all over the world in terms of water resources with less than 1% of the total available global freshwater per capita [4, 5]. Therefore, one of the strategic options to satisfy the current and future request for fresh water in countries established around Gulf is to build up desalination units. Rhetorical Analysis Of The Perils Of Indifference A Rhetorical Analysis of The Perils of Indifference Distinguished Jewish writer and Holocaust survivor, Elie Wiesel, in his speech, The Perils of Indifference , discusses the effects indifference has on one s humanity in both? societal and individual terms. Wiesel s purpose is to illustrate the plight of those who suffer because of indifference and to appeal to the audience s consciences. He adopts a sympathetic, haunting, and accusatory tone in order to convey to audiences that society had not learned and many victims have and will continue to suffer injustices because of indifference. Ultimately, through the means of syntax devices such as juxtaposition, anaphora, diction, and rhetorical questioning, Weisel bolsters the supporting logic of his claim that indifference is a grave malady of humanity and to amend such an ailment one must look no further than the self. Wiesel s comprehensive speech, The Perils of Indifference can be divided into three definitive sections: the contextualization of the suffering that occurs both past and present, an explication of indifference , and lastly Wiesel s earnest undertaking and rhetorical questioning of why we practice indifference. In view of this classification, the first step Wiesel takes is to properly address his audience and the authority individuals such as the President, Mrs. Clinton, Ambassadors, congress members possess. We began the project as though we had been contracted to analyze a cyclical steam injection project in a pay zone similar to the Clearwater formation in Cold Lake, Alberta. In this heavy, dead oil reservoir the facilities, injectors, and producer are already set up in the field with a seven spot orientation. The company wants further analysis on the project once the market declined, requesting reservoir simulations be conducted over a six year period before proceeding. Through the program CMG STARS, we were able to simulate production in a field with similar characteristics, employing field data from technical papers referenced in this paper. The complex equations simultaneously solved in CMG STARS including multiphase fluid flow and conservation equations make the program an invaluable reservoir evaluation tool. Sensitivity analysis was conducted to monitor the production responses to changes in steam injection parameters, compiling over 40 simulations. The injection was optimized with a total of 35 simulations after identifying the most significant parameters impacting production. Net present values and cumulative production of oil and water were analyzed to construct a recommendation for the project. A daily reminder of a need for the belief of good over evil is a necessary part of this society. In Piaget s theory, he describes that during the pre operational stage of development children are often incapable of understanding the concept of conservation, the ages in this stage generally range from 2 6 years old (Siegler Alibali, 2005). It isn t until the concrete operational stage that children have the ability to understand conservation. During this stage children range from the ages of 7 12 years old. In order to observe the changes in between stages, I chose to administer Piaget s conservation of solid quantity to two different children. The task administered was to see if the two children would be able to see a transformation when I rolled out one of the two balls of clay. Piaget illustrated a stage model that explains the different stages of development starting at birth and continuing to twelve years old and onwards. In the task that I will be conducting it involves two of the four stages. The first stage is the pre operational period. During this time children are exhibiting egocentrism as well as using symbolic representations, such as symbols or using signs. There seems to be little doubt, however, that at different stages in the product life cycle certain marketing strategies seem to be more appropriate than others. The life cycle concept also points to the different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One problem that has been found in trying to make use of the product life cycle concept as a management tool is that many products do not appear to perform in the market place as it suggests. They seem to bypass some stages while getting stuck at other stages. Moreover, they may even come into vogue again after a period of going out of fashion. These observations have brought about criticisms of the product life cycle as a useful planning tool. EXHIBIT 2.1 SWANSEA ENGINEERING DIFFICULTIES IN USING THE PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE CONCEPT Swansea Engineering makes wire for industrial uses. Applications range from wire for cables to carry high voltage electricity to wire for winding on small electric motors for incorporation in both industrial and domestic products. The firm has tried to use the life cycle concept to explain generic sales in the market and sales of its own products. Difficulties encountered include the defining of product markets and the separation from natural growth and decline in the market and the effects of recession. Indeed in recent years it has proved extremely difficult to assess exactly where many products and markets are in relationship to their anticipated life cycles. Ironing out the fluctuations caused by economic recessions and mini booms causes one of the major problems. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Depictions of Mark Zuckerburg in The Social Network In the film The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, the character Mark Zuckerberg is depicted as an arrogant, egocentric person who will lie and harm the people around him to get to where he wants. Zuckerberg s ex girlfriend Erica Albright brakes up with him and as a result of his emotions of that night, he creates a website that becomes very popular within hours of being up, and ultimately crashes the schools connection. The name Zuckerberg then becomes very popular, and the Winklevoss twins reach out to him for help to build a new innovating social networking website. This is the beginning of a giant chain reaction that each decision leads to another bigger conflict. Mark Zuckerbergs arrogance is seen throughout the entire film, but his arrogance is predominantly seen in the opening scene, when Zuckerberg is with Erica Albright, at a bar, and not listening to a word of what she is saying. He says how do you distinguish yourself in a population of people who all got 1600 on their SAT s? to later acknowledge he was talking about himself (Fincher, 2010). This is the opening scene and we already know a few things about the character character: he is very smart, he knows it, and he likes to show it off. As a result of his arrogance, Zuckerberg loses his girlfriend. It might seem as if Mark Zuckerberg is a robot, but he can understand emotions. It s just that they do not rank as high in his mind as they do in others. When Zuckerberg drunkenly wrote the blog post ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He sent a lot of people to go discover parts of the new world. Because of Henry the Navigator, Portugal conquered Brazil. He was very important to Portugal and the exploration era. Why was Lisbon Important? Lisbon is the main area that Henry the Navigator sent out his ships to discover the new world. This became a very popular trading depot because of its location and finding new things during exploration. This was a place where the Colombian Exchange happened, especially with what is now Brazil. This is also where Ferdinand Magellan set off to sail completely around the earth. The Lamentation by Scorpion Pulzone shows exactly what Rome was like during the counter reformation. This painting shows how the catholic church wanted the art to look. They wanted all art to be focused on Jesus Christ and his Resurrection. During the counter reformation, the Catholic Church tried to bring all the attention back onto God. They wanted God to be the main focus, as seen in this painting, not anything ... • 38. Essay On Genetically Modified Food Benefits of Genetically Modified Foods Health A 2014 study of Genetically modified rice with health benefits as a means to reduce micronutrient malnutrition: global status, consumer preferences and potential health impacts of rice biofortification [4] conducted by the departments of Bio analysis, Physiology, Agricultural economics at the University of Ghent explains a major benefit that genetically modified foods can offer. Two billion people worldwide are affected by micronutrient malnutrition, which is characterized by an insufficient intake of vitamins and minerals. A case for genetically modified rice, also known as Foliate Biofortified Rice or Golden Rice, is presented in order to solve this hidden hunger. Since 2004, the amount of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Biofortification as a novel micronutrient intervention Pharmaceutical supplementation, food fortification, dietary diversification and biofortification are the current potential policy interventions to solve the problem of the deficiencies. Pharmaceutical option refers to the distribution of free supplements while promoting the education on the importance of the nutrients. Industrial fortification refers to the insertion of micronutrients in staple crops, of rice and wheat, which takes place during flour milling post harvesting [4]. Dietary diversification is a bigger focus on education, promotion of diverse diets, improving access to locally produced foods naturally rich in vital micronutrients. Biofortification is the solution of the near future intended to be pro rural and pro poor health intervention. Enhancing the bioavailability in these staple crops while increasing the production of micronutrients will without doubt be revolutionary in solving the hidden hunger that plagues these malnourished areas. Non staple crops including strawberries (vitamin C), maize and canola (vitamin E), potatoes and mustard (beta carotene), carrots (calcium), lettuce (iron) could also be biofortified creating better products for multiple crops. Biofortification or genetic modifications use staple crops as its food vehicle and, therefore, can easily target the micronutrient ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Low Back Pain Analysis 1. Physical therapist will find it difficult perform any physical test on this patient, since he has severe lower back pain. Pain assessment can be performed by talking detailed history of pain, activities that increase or decrease pain and by palpation to find out location of pain. Low back strain will present with severe muscle spasm and pain level will be altered with change in position. Pain due to renal diseases will present radiating symptoms and constant pain regardless of change in position. Low back pain strain will present with a history of injury. According to Gopal, 2002, treatment and diagnosis of nonspecific low back pain need a thorough history taking, detailed physical examination, and well structured use of limited and ... Usually the pain is felt as dull, diffuse, aching or boring and severe and high on intensity. Unlike pain from musculoskeletal origin, renal pain will remain constant and cannot be relieved by changing the position. Spasm of paraspinal and abdominal muscle may present in renal pain. Pain may also get radiate up to the ipsilateral shoulder and also down to testicles in men. 9. Prostrate diseases always show signs of urinary urgency, increased frequency, nocturia, difficulty starting the urinary stream or a slow stream and inability to void urine completely. If there is no significant history or trauma of injuries, then physical therapist can focus on problems of patients with bladder control. Prostrate diseases are also characterized by pain over low back, inner thigh and testicular areas. Patient may have problems with sexual dysfunction and dysuria. • 40. Green Fluorescent Protein Lab Report 1. The technique that allows scientists to follow with their own eyes the dynamic movements of specific proteins as they occur within the living cell is the green fluorescent protein. This is a protein that is extracted from only a few jellyfish. This diffuses a green fluorescent colored light. The green fluorescent protein can be blended to the protein and can work normally and so does the protein itself that it is binded to. The protein is not affected and can be moved and transported throughout the cell and can then be seen. 2. The early endosomes progress gradually. The properties of RNA that have convinced investigators that it may have played an important role in the evolution of life in earth is that RNA is able to encrypt information and is able to assemble chemical reactions. Before ribozymes were discovered, proteins were only able to catalyze and only nucleic acids encrypted information. Obviously, RNA can do both and since the discovery of it, many scientists now believe RNA played an important role in the evolution of life. 8. I want to calculate moving average for time period of 10, 100 and 200 day each. I also calculate centered moving average for each of the case of moving average. Moving averages smooths data to form a trend following indicator. Moving averages lag as they are based on previous data. Despite this delay, moving averages help smooth data and filter noise. A simple moving average is calculated with the help of average price of a value in a specified number of periods. Most moving averages are based on closing prices. I observe from the above graphs and excel calculations that trend moving average deals with the point of time where I don t get exact time point. In case of centered moving average calculations are done for exact time point. A moving average can help cut down the amount of noise on a price chart. To have a basic idea about which way the price is moving; it is suggested to look at the direction of the moving average. If angled up, the price is moving up overall. Else if, angled down it would imply that price is moving down overall. However, if it moves sideways, it would imply that price is likely in range. Croxton, F. E., Cowden, D. J.
