the mouldmaker.
โข A release agent is typically used to make removal
of the hardened/set substance from the mould
easier.
โข This is generally only used for larger and more
valuable objects.
4. Processes of mould
๏The various stages in making a simple mould :-
1. Place to drag half of the pattern on the molding board with
parting surface in contact with the board.
5. 2) Place the Drag in position on the board with pins
pointing downwards.
3) Cut off excess send off the mould using a strike off
bar.
4) Sprinkle parting send over the surface uniformly.
5) Place the runner and riser pins in proper position
depending on the getting in risering system decided.
5) Cut funnels around the runner and riser pins using a
gate cutter.
6)Remove the runner and riser pins.
6. 7) Dust the surface of the mould with a coating material.
8) Dry to mould in case of dry sand moulding.
9) Remove any loose or burnt send by blowing
compressed air if it is a bried mould.
11) Close the cop over the drag.
12) Weight or clamp the cope and drag the mould is now
ready for pouring.
