Mexico s Drug And Human Trafficking
Human and Drug trafficking are huge global problems and it affects millions or people, even if they
do not know about it. Mexico s drug and human trafficking are huge issues, and people tend to
different methods in how the problems should be solved. However, the main reason in why these two
things are such an issue is all because of money. They both bring in major profits and benefits into
Mexico and those in charge of this industry, it also brings in revenue into the United States for those
that a part of these two cartels. Both the Drug Cartel and those in power of the Human Trafficking
concerns, keep this things going because of the politicians that are placed into power of their regions.
Many people keep saying that they should fix what is happening; however the problem is much more
difficult than that. Many people in the United States keep stating that the issue is only a Mexican
problem. Mexico s government has stated that there primary goal is get rid of the drug cartels in their
country and that it is the United States hope to prevent the drug cartels from coming into their country.
Drug trafficking can also be explained as the war on drug which was coined by Richard Nixon
(Calderon, 1). This coin is an important matter to know because it explains how people actually feel
about these things. However, there are many other countries that do smuggle in drugs into America;
but due to the fact Mexico and America share a border the problem is much bigger. Especially

How Does Wart Use Power In The Moat
When Wart is turned into a perch to explore the moat, the concept of might is right is first examined.
While transformed into a fish,Wart meets Mr. P. Mr. P is the king fish in the moat and has a very
corrupt view on power over others. He tells Wart that Power is of the individual mind, but the mind s
power is not enough. Power of the body decides everything in the end, and only Might is Right (White
45). Wart is hypnotized by the impact of Mr. P s words and learns that power is an intimidating thing.
Mr. P is the epitome of unjust power being forced over the fish of the moat. He is portrayed as an
unflattering king and Wart begins to be introduced to the idea that power is not always a good
attribute. The idea of power is shown again ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is scared by the pressures of power and is intimidated based off his past experiences. Earlier in the
novel, while talking to the badger he says, I should have liked to go to war (White 187). Through his
experiences with Merlin, he now believes that ruling in a noble way is more important than
intimidating the people one rules over. He adapts the mind set and ideals of his teacher, Merlin. Merlin
consistently believes that jousting and tilting are foolish and childish. He passes his ideals on to Wart
through showing him how foolish it is to joust when he takes Wart to see King Pellinore and Sir
Grummore fight for no reason. He shows Wart that bravery isn t what he was traditionally taught and
bravery is really shown when one has knowledge and a just mind set. White develops this motif
through the theme that power corrupts and one must rule with equality and bravery in order to be a
strong leader. This theme is explored and embodied through Merlin and his teachings. Through
Merlin, Wart learns what it means to be a capable and knowledgable leader. With his strong
militaristic background and intellectual experiences, Arthur is given potential to be a wise

Libertarianism Research Paper
Libertarianism as a type of government gives the view that each individual has the right to live how
they please, as long as the individual respects and does not interfere with another individuals life
(Boaz 1997, 2). Rights are not given by government but are bestowed upon a person by virtue of being
human and libertarians defend an individual s rights to property, life and liberty (Boaz 1997, 2). The
libertarianism framework which stands for economic development and liberty under law is suited to
the changing world, the dynamic world of today (Boaz 1997, 3).
The main concept of libertarianism is individualism, where libertarians see every individual as their
own person capable of making choices and being held responsible for their actions (Boaz 1997, 12).
Individual rights are held to a high account, with each person having the right to be secure in life,
property and liberty through virtue of being human (Boaz 1997, 12). Order in society is another core
concept, developing from the integration of people and coordination within trade (Boaz 1997, 13). The
rule of law argues that people are free to do what they want, as long as they do not interfere with
another person s life (Boaz 1997, 13). A limited ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Importance Of Medication Errors
Introduction Medication errors result in over 700,000 emergency department visits each year in the
United States, and nearly two thirds of these hospitalizations are due to accidental overdose (Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Missed doses or overdoses are one of the problems related
to medication safety (Anthony, 2015). A medication error is any act or occurrence which causes or
leads to a patient receiving inappropriate medication treatment (Potter Perry, 2014). Errors can occur
due to failure to follow procedures related to medication administration, lack of communication
between healthcare staff, deciphering illegible handwriting and underlying system factors, such as
distractions and time constraints (Potter Perry, 2014). Technological advances such as networked
computers and other innovations have been placed in hospitals to study its impact on medication
adherence; the following paper will compare and contrast these findings. First Article Summary The
first article aims to alleviate the issue by implementing a bar code verification technology within an
electronic medication administration system (bar code eMAR) which allows delivery of the correct

can lead to errors resulting in greater damage than treatment. Extreme dependence on such systems

risks and disadvantages effecting client safety. Thus it is important to understand that the healthcare
industry is adaptive to ever changing technologies, yet an entirely effective solution has not been

Chlamydi Sexually Transmitted Infection
Chlamydia is the most common type of Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) amongst young people.
It is also known as the silent STI because numerous people don t even know that they re even infected
with this infection as symptoms don t normally appear until one to three weeks. This infection can
both males and females. A person could easily be infected with Chlamydia by having sex such as anal,
vaginal or oral with someone who is already infected, and that s where it all starts. Chlamydia can
occur to every individual and each individual have an equal chance in getting infected, however there
are consequences of contracting Chlamydia for individuals who lives in urban areas compared to rural
areas. Individuals who contracts Chlamydia in urban areas are able to have professional doctors that
are able to treat the infection. If there wasn t enough professional doctors available, Chlamydia can
eventually spread to certain parts of the body. It infects males in the urethra (tube of the penis) and
may spread to the epididymis, whilst it infects females in the neck of the uterus (cervix) and spread to
the uterus and fallopian tubes, causing pelvic inflammatory disease and etc. As a result of the number
of professional doctors in urban areas, doctors are able to cure and treat Chlamydia ... Show more

The Vinland Map
Abstract: In the mid nineteen sixties, the Vinland map was found. It was renowned because it
demonstrated that the recorded reality that Columbus was the person who found America. In reality
Vikings were the ones who found America. The Vikings were fishermen and ranchers who ended up
being warriors who originated from Scandinavia; they lived from the year 793 until 1066. [Hassan,
2013] What is the evidence suggesting that the map might be authentic? Greenland was discovered
upper east of North America on the Vinland map, and it was particularly pointed by indicating and
exact to modern day maps of Greenland. In the mid 1990s, from the base of the map, a little example
was cut for carbon 14 dating. After a long time, the results were accounted for, and the example was
dated in the year 1425. In 1965, archeologists discovered correct confirmation that the Vikings arrived
500 years before Columbus. They found the old Viking settlement in Newfoundland. What is the
evidence suggesting whether the map is fake or not? Some of the examples to show if the map is fake
or not are as follows: The Ink examination which was done in 1966 when a meeting took place
between the handwriting authorities. The reasons why the English show lobby had rejected

huge impact on our work and home life, how we entertain ourselves, and what form of transportation
we use to move around. Some technological inventions that impacted our forms of transportation were
the helicopter, jet, and 3 pointed seatbelts. Helicopters and jets impacted the way people (usually rich)
traveled. These forms of transportation were faster than airplanes and more efficient. They were also
smaller and were important during combat, especially when sky raids were conducted and speed, as

Geothermal Energy is the Solution to the Energy Crisis Essay
Geothermal Energy: A Solution to the Energy Crisis
Abstract
So far, scientists have not found a successful substitute for fossil fuels that can handle both the large
demand for energy and solve the global warming problem. I propose that geothermal energy is a clean,
widely available, and renewable alternative to the usage of fossil fuels. In this paper, I will explain
how use of geothermal resources can be energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost effective. I
believe that the US government should increase funding for geothermal energy research. This may be
the solution to our present energy crisis and global warming.

Fossil fuels (oil, coal, natural gas) take up about 80 % of total energy consumed. Fossil fuels cause
pollution and global warming yet we continue to use them. Our demand for fossil fuels has become so
great that according to current projections, Earth s reserves will be depleted within the next 200 years.
But we do not actually have 200 years to wait. Our run away consumption of fossil fuel not only
endangers our ability to meet our future energy needs but also the environment. Fossil fuels cause
significant pollution and global warming. This in turn compromises wildlife habitats and can even
lead to extinction of animal and plant species. By looking at new sources such as geothermal energy,
we can move towards a source that is not extremely harmful and yet still effective.
Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is heat energy that is stored underneath Earth s surface. It is mainly found at
volcanoes, hot springs, or geysers. Heat stored in the hot water and steam found at these locations is
captured and can be used to heat buildings or generate electricity. This energy source is renewable
because heat from the earth is continuously produced. To obtain energy, you must either use hot water
or steam from the source. The most common way of capturing the energy from geothermal sources is
to tap into naturally occurring hydrothermal convection systems where cooler water seeps into Earth s
crust, is heated up, and then rises to the

Grew In My Mind By Carol Ann Duffy
Furthermore, Carol Ann Duffy, portrays the effects of jealousy are progressively destructive, making
the speaker gradually more unstable. Duffy begins the poem by employing a tricolon: A suspicion, a
doubt, a jealousy . The development of insecurity is powerfully portrayed by this line, as the three
emotions implied become stronger. Jealousy is often seen as detrimental and throughout the entirety of
the poem, we see that Medusa slowly declines mentally and physically, making her life almost not
worth living. Grew in my mind could imply that the personified thoughts are consuming her, and that
they are growing like hair from her scalp. It also could hint that the thoughts are gradually engulfing
the speaker, eventually taking control of her whole body. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The three verbs used in three different stanzas imply her increasing confidence in her power, and the
progression of her mental deterioration. Glanced implies an accidental, hesitant, quick look at an
object, while stared implies the complete desire and length of the gaze. After glancing at a bee full of
life A dull grey pebble fell to the ground , implying the severity of her power. The monosyllabic
percussive plosives in the words dull grey pebble and ground also suggest the harshness of who the
speaker has now become. Medusa s admiration for these living beings, is her fatal flaw. The use of the
imperative phrase as the final line in the poem look at me now highlights Medusa s hatred for what
she has become, and her cry for pity directed towards her husband. However, the ambiguity of the line
allows for another interpretation: that she craves destruction and wishes that her husband were

Analysis Of Corrie Ten Boom s The Hiding Place
Corrie Ten Boom s book, The Hiding Place, is an inspirational story that explores the issues of
needing and wanting freedom, and maintaining strength throughout life s difficulties. This book
illustrates how important freedom is, and how, without it many people are lost or lack hope. Freedom
coveys the feeling of strength and worth. Corrie explains this throughout her book.
The Hiding Place is the emotional and inspirational true life story of an ideal Christian woman who
sacrifices her life to help others. Corrie has grown up in a very religious home, and when embroiled in
a difficult and dangerous situation her family risks everything to help others. The book is based in the
1940 s, when Corrie s home town is invaded by German officers who collect any Jewish civilians and
escort them to Concentration Camps. Fear consumed the town, and the Ten Boom family reacts by
helping the town s Jewish families. Quickly, the news of this kind hearted family spreads and more
Jews come seeking help. Eventually the Ten Boom family is caught and sent to the Concentration
camps themselves. While imprisoned in solitary confinement Corrie, has to learn to be strong and
faithful to God. She dreams and wishes for freedom for not only herself but for the other innocent
prisoners surrounding her. Corrie has to be strong for herself and for God. She stays devoted to her
beliefs, and even through the hurt and anxiety, she never blames God, she believes it is all part of His
plan and that everything happens for a reason.
The Hiding Place s dual theme of freedom and faith are also portrayed in other books, such as, All
Quite on The Western Front. Paul Bäumer, the main character, is a young man who enlists in the army
to fight for his country. When Paul joins the army, he covets the freedom of others. Once he returns
home and is free, his memories of battle taunt him. He wishes to return to the war because he is used
to being a killing machine and hearing the sound of guns go off at night. His newly recovered freedom
is unwanted. War has so altered Paul that he no longer is able to have thoughts and emotions of his
own. Throughout the book, the author continuously brings up the bird as a symbol of hope and
freedom. Paul

Plato s Myth of the Cave and Carver s Cathedral provide insight into parallel words. The protagonists
in each story are trapped in a world of ignorance because each is comfortable in the dark, and fearful

Fortunately the narrator in the Cathedral is forced by circumstances to take a risk. This risk leads him
into new world of insight and understanding.

not know where this road will lead them. In Carver s Cathedral , the narrator did not realize that the
blind man was in his causeway out of ignorance. He did not realize that the simple act of his wife
inviting the blind guest would lead to major new discoveries about himself and his ignorance. The
narrator s wife has been exposed to knowledge, which is what Robert represents in this story, for many
years. She was more aware of the world because of her relationship with Robert. This exposure was
instrumental in presenting her husband with a learning opportunity. Her husband was given the
opportunity to see the light. This was territory into which he would have never ventured on his own.
His fears from his own cave prevented such risky behavior. This was opportunity for him to learn,
grow, and develop in a myriad of ways. He would gain in his relationship with his wife. He would
gain new insights about himself, and most of all he would gain knowledge that would pull him out of
his own cave. The narrator saw the blind man drink and smoke cigarette down to the nubbin . He saw

tag itself has its own weight. Although FLAG tag is small in size and contains eight amino acid, it
would affect the finial molecular weigh of FLAG PTEN; [2] The FLAG PTEN were expressed in the
mammalian cell system, its original environment. Therefore there would be some proteins that interact
with PTEN naturally in mammalian cell, referring as interacting partner, and they bind to FLAG
PTEN in the cell lyaste sample then precipitate together in the IP. Those interacting proteins would

The Pros And Cons Of Dental Amalgams
Professor Kostelecky, before starting this paper I didn t have the slightest idea what an amalgam was
or why it causes so much controversy in the realm of dentistry. The controversy originates from the
material that primarily makes up amalgams; that material is mercury. Now that this debate has
commenced, dentists, scientists, and corporate organizations everywhere are arguing whether the use
of amalgams should be banned or should remain a growing practice. Because I plan to study dentistry
in the future I figured this would be a good topic to prepare me for my future education. Before I
discuss the three main points of view regarding amalgams, I want to give you some of the basic
background information. Dental amalgams are a type of filling used to fill cavities caused by decay in
the teeth. Amalgams are not the only type of filling offered by dentists; composite resin, cast gold,
ceramics, and glass ionomer are also used, but are not used near as much. Amalgams are the most
popular filling material and it has been this way since they were first introduced back in the 1800 s.
Each year billions of people invest in amalgams because they are long lasting, cheap, and durable, but
many researchers believe they could be detrimental to your health due to the main ingredient mercury
Amalgams are a mixture of metals; 50% is composed of mercury and the other 50% is composed of an
alloy, which in this case, is silver copper and tin. The problem with using mercury in amalgams is

American Superheroes Influence On Society During The 1940s
The 1940s were known as the golden age of comics. Many superheroes recognizable in mainstream
popular culture today originated during this time, becoming favorites of the young and old alike.
Unsurprisingly, superheroes usually experience their greatest success during times of transition and
uncertainty, such as America moving from economic crisis into armed conflict (Bainbridge 746).
While this essay will be focusing on the overall influence of all American Superheroes on society
during the 1940s, a specific focus will be placed on two of the most well known created heroes:
Superman and Captain America. Both Superman and Captain America first emerged as the nation was
coming out of the Great Depression and headed into World War II (Bainbridge 746). Therefore,
protagonists like these two as well as comic books in general were crucial during the 1940s because
they acted as lighthearted distractions from real world issues, devices of cultural influence as well as a
big source of earning for publishers.

Difference Between Mortgage And Mortgage
What Is Mortgage And Mortgage Refinancing ?
What is a Mortgage?
A mortgage is nothing more than a real estate loan. This loan is basically called as a mortgage as it has
some distinct characteristics. The mechanism of such a loan is also pretty simple. A person who is
looking forward to purchase property, can apply to a mortgage lender. After receiving the application
of the borrower, the lender analyzes three important facts:
1. The property that is to be purchased with the help of the loan, its market value and its current
condition.
2. The second thing that is analyzed by the lender is the repaying capacity of the applicant.
3. Some personal details of the applicant such as the spending habits (such as the use of credit cards),
educational qualifications, payment of taxes is also analyzed. If the applicant has a family, then details
of the family members such as their employment status and income are also considered. ... Show more

happened in every episode has been as a result of 1or more member/s of the family trying to please the
rest of the family. This is evident in Blue collar slob in which homer becomes an astronaut. He does
this because he feels he has lost the respect of his family and friends, and assumes that astronauts
receive great respect. Although this episode can be interpreted as simple comedy, putting a blue collar
slob in outer space, there are also underlying messages that highlight the love that keeps the Simpson
family together. It connotes that respect must be in a family

Komunyaka Vietnam Veterans Memorial
To me it seems as if Komunyakaa himself is the main character in the poem, it seems his face is sort
of like a reflection in the dark granite that he is facing. Then he goes to state that he wouldn t cry, but
it seems he is very emotional about something. I m stone. I m flesh (Line 5) maybe saying he feels
that he s strong and manly, but he is feeling weak because he is crying, mentioning he s flesh because
after all he is human and humans have emotions that you sometimes can t really control. It seems he is
very aware of these feelings. It seems his only way out is to turn away from the wall, I think maybe he
is trapped somewhere surrounded by these granite walls he seems to be facing and I do not think he
can escape them. I think it is interesting how he came up with that number of names at the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial, 58,022 (Line 14) it is so specific, its not like he actually counted them all, maybe
it was just a guess or maybe he knows more then he is telling, maybe he was a Vietnam Veteran. ...

Women In Post-Civil War America
In post Civil War America, there were two main groups facing discrimination and hardship, despite
the rapid rate of the country s expansion. These two groups were Native Americans and women.
American western expansion made the conflict with Native Americans practically inevitable. Henry
Clay even went as far as stating that their complete disappearance from the human family would be no
great loss to the world . The westward movement and territorial expansion from the Louisiana
Purchase created a devastating loss to the indigenous peoples. The settlers were ignorant and
mistreated the natives and their entire culture. It was assumed by the settlers that any land they may
stumble upon that seemed empty or unsettled by their own colonized standards was up for the taking
and now theirs to have. They forced their religious beliefs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Innumerable amounts of indigenous people and tribes were double crossed by white settlers in treaties
with the use of the basically fraudulent legal proceedings. Indigenous people were not held to the
same social standings as most Americans and were constantly belittled and taken advantage for the
sake of American advancement.
Women in post Civil War times were also dealing with the unreasonable limitations of American
democracy . Women were not even allowed to vote let alone hold many rights in a social standpoint.
Women enacted many suffrage movements fighting for their right to vote and have their voices heard.
Temperance movements aimed to completely thwart, or at least moderate, drinking alcohol. Though
these movements both suffered daunting opposition, women quickly became the face of social reform.
Even though they still did not have many basic rights, they made advances in education, teaching.

The Colonization Of Mexico
Mestizaje is known as a process of racial and cultural blending or mixing. This was common pattern
found amongst most indigenous and Spaniards after the Spanish invasion. The Spanish invasion was
primarily a conquest driven on the need for more power and wealth, in order for the Spaniards to
achieve what they wanted they knew they were going to need to negotiate with the indigenous people.
Aside from this it was also evident that the indigenous people needed to figure out how to survive
under the rule of the Spanish even if it meant they had to give in to the Spanish s way of life. The
colonization of Mexico resulted in cultural blending of indigenous and Spanish culture, language, and
religion as an act of survival.
One of the major and more difficult goals for the Spaniards was to convert the indigenous people to
Christianity. The Indigenous religion was so strange to the Spaniards that they believed the indigenous
were not as evolved or progressed as they were. When Cortes was writing back to the Spanish crown
he dramatized the indigenous people as savages who needed to be converted to Christianity in order to
be saved. In the book Religions of Mesoamerica David Carrasco explains how, These beliefs and
missionary efforts reflected the primary attitude of the Catholic Church that the native peoples were
souls to be saved in a global process of conversion (Carrasco 21). To achieve their goal or religious
conversion the Spanish started missionaries where Franciscans

Analyzing The Protagonist In Voltaire s Candide
Voltaire wrote Candide as a response to the optimistic philosophy taking place in the mid seventy
century. In 1956 Leonard Bernstein produced a Broadway version of this text. After that, several more
version were produced until reaching the final edition played at the New York Philharmonic in 2005.
Voltaire s Candide targets the ¬¬¬¬¬philosophical beliefs of the period while Bernstain s play adjusts
the scenes to the context of the new audience for which is performed. For an audience watching
Candide in 2014, however, other adjustments are necessary. Voltaire s target in Candide is to criticize
the philosophical optimism of the era. Such optimism is expressed by Candide s mentor, the
philosopher Pangloss, who justifies the presence

Social networking is a place where the sense of popularity is known and the more friends you have on

friends on face book do you actually know when you see them out and about and how many of them
do you interact with? Many people have taken to adding anyone they think they have something in

The Effects Of Melanoma On The Integumentary System Essay
Integumentary System The Integumentary system is defined as an organ system consisting in the skin,
hair, nails, and exocrine glands (Integumentary System, 1999). This systems main purpose is to
protect the body from the environment around it. The skin covers and protects tissues, nerves, veins,
and muscles of the body. The hair and nails give extra strength in reinforcing the skin while keeping
the body warm and protecting the skin from harmful UV rays. The exocrine glands of the skin include
the sudoriferous glands, sebaceous glands, and the ceruminous glands. Each exocrine gland has a
different function as well as location in the skin. The following text will explain the effects of
melanoma on the integumentary system.
Skin
The skin is divided into three different parts including the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. The
epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin. This region of the skin has no blood cells or blood vessels
running through it. All of the nutrients that the epidermis needs are received through diffusion from
the dermis. The epidermis is made up of stratified squamous epithelial cells. The epidermis is made of
five separate layers: the stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and
the stratum corneum. Starting at the innermost layer, the stratum basale is where mitosis of
keratinocytes takes place. This layer of the epidermis also contains melanocytes which give the skin it
s pigment. As mitosis takes place in the stratum

With the end of slavery came the rise of indentured servants in the nineteenth and early twentieth
centuries. When slaves were freed, they were no longer willing to put in the hours they were
previously forced to work. The colonies depended on plantations and also needed a new source of
labor. This led to mistreatment of indentured laborers. Most British people needed to turn to
indentured servitude in order to make money from their plantations. With each year, more and more
indentured servants would be needed to work (Document 2). Evidently, Document 2 has bias because

Comparing Feminist Poetry by Plath and Sexton Essay

Poetry should be a shock to the senses. It should also hurt Anne Sexton believed (Baym 2703), and
evidence of this maxim s implications echoes loudly through the writing of Sexton as well as through
the work of her friend and contemporary Sylvia Plath.
Plath and Sexton s lifetimes spanned a period of remarkable change in the social role of women in
America, and both are obviously feminist poets caught somewhere between the submissive pasts of
their mothers and the liberated futures awaiting their daughters. With few established female poets to

However, Plath uses her father s German ancestry, as well as ideas about women s relationships with
their fathers and husbands, to broaden the poem s significance beyond the scope of her own
experience. Plath herself said that the poem related to the Electra complex, defined by The World
Book Medical Encyclopedia as a Freudian theory about a young girl s possessive but repressed love
for her father ( Electra Complex online).
The child narrating Daddy, in a youthful, Kipling like rhythm, is haunted by her father s monumental
presence in her world, calling him marble heavy, a bag full of God (Plath 2748). Both the poem s
childlike cadence and the innocent description of a father still the center of a young girl s universe
make it easy to re experience a youthful yearning for parental approval. When the father in the poem
dies, the young girl spends much of her life searching for a way to understand and get close to him

Health Plan For Increase Expenditure
There are a number of products and initiatives being used by health plans to control expenditures and
maintain market competitiveness. Recent slowing in health expenditures has largely been due to price
changes, a shift from inpatient to outpatient care, and increased coverage. However, here I will focus
on operational changes within the health plan that can be made to decrease expenditures. I will discuss
how investing in disease management programs, wellness incentives, and value based insurance
design now can be used to control rising healthcare expenditures in the future while adding value for
consumers. I will also discuss the challenges involved with implementing these initiatives.
Disease Management Programs:
Background
A small portion of the patient population accounts for a disproportionate amount of health care
expenditures primarily due to chronic illness (Shelton, 2002). Because of this, and the overall rise in
healthcare costs, stakeholders have been searching for ways to target this small but expensive group of
people. One way is through disease management programs. It is a common belief that education and
preventive measures make it easier to manage chronic illness and reduce adverse outcomes including
lengthy hospitalizations (Shelton, 2002). Although these programs are fairly new and there isn t much
data to support or refute their success, this is an area worth exploring to potentially curve skyrocketing
healthcare expenditures.

The American Industrial Revolution
The American industrial revolution took place from the late 1800s into the 1900s. An industrial
revolution is a boom in industry and manufacturing. It requires a workforce, leaders, and most
importantly natural resources like coal, steel, gold, silver and lumber. Coal was a valuable resource
needed to power factories and transportation like the transcontinental railroad that spanned across the
US. After the transcontinental railroad was built in 1869, more coal was found in the west that could
be mined and then transported to the factories in the east. This led to the increase in material
production and made manufacturing easier and cheaper. However, when coal is burned it gives off
pollution so an increase in coal usage also impacted the environment. Additionally, working
conditions in the factories back then were unimaginable. Workers were overworked and around
dangerous machines at a young age.
After the industrial revolution production of materials increased. According to Document 3, steel
production in 1865 was 3,100,000 tons and in 1900 production increased to 9,000,000 tons, over triple
the previous amount. During this time period the Bessemer Steel Process helped to increase steel
production by using less coal and making steel cheaper. This is significant because during the
industrial revolution steel was used to build the railroads, buildings and plows. As a result of having
more steel, more railroads and buildings can be built for cheaper, improving transportation

The Effects Of Smoking During Breastfeeding On Children
Smoking during breastfeeding affects a lot to the health of your baby as the smoke favors the
occurrence of respiratory diseases and increases the risk of sudden death.
During pregnancy, often you hear how harmful smoking is to the development of your baby.
Premature birth, low birth weight, and disorders in their respiratory system are just some of the
negative effects. Once your child is born and the process of breastfeeding starts, this article will help
you immensely with its recommendations and advice.
A Danish study showed that mothers who smoke may be diminished in their transportation capacity of
iodine, which can affect the breastfed baby. During the breastfeeding, the infant s thyroid function
depends on the amount of iodine in the breast milk, which is why smoking predisposes the presence of
problems in the brain development of children. It is also a known fact that smoking reduces the body s
ability to absorb some vitamins and minerals.
Given this scenario, many smoking mothers who were unable to quit smoking during pregnancy,
choose not to breastfeed their babies due to psychological factors or social pressures. Some of them
initiate breastfeeding but then interrupt find physiological problems related to smoke.
Other mothers who stopped smoking during pregnancy choose to resume smoking because they
cannot handle addiction and believe they should not smoke and breastfeed.
However these options choose the alternative that the mother should always be

Super Bowl and the sport anchors were the discussion of Stuart Scott. Stuart Scott was a well known
sport anchor that recently died of cancer. They brought him up and became emotional because of his

The Irish And Chinese Immigrants In The 1950 s
The Irish and Chinese immigrants during the 1950 s were subjected to cruel judgment and unjust
regulations. Even though both of these races had such a major impact on American history, they were
once seen as an invasive species that were sucking up all available jobs. This forced the American
government and its people to take a stand against the Cheese and Irish. The Chinese faced exclusion
and economic laws, while the Irish were plagued with the label of being poor, diseased, and
considerably different from the prior Irish. The first sight of Chinese immigrants came in 1848 on the
coast of California. These immigrants came left all they knew back in the Guandong Providence in
search of a more prosperous American future. Overpopulation mixed with economic and political
crisis were the defining factors for their departure. During 1815 1855 on the entire opposite side of
America, Irish immigrants were landing in Boston and New York. Their appearance in America can be
divided through the time period in which they came. 1815 1844 Irish immigrants left their native
island due to British encroachment, cruel landlords, as well as a explosive population growth from
around four million to nine million. Yet, from 1845 1855 a majority of Irish immigrants left due to a
fungal infection that wiped out the primary crop in Ireland, the Potato. While the Irish and Chinese
had their separate reasons for leaving their original domicile, they ended in the same country facing

Voltaire Candide
Francois Marie Arouet de Voltaire was the French author of the novella Candide, also known as
Optimism (Durant and Durant 724). Voltaire s Candide is a philosophical tale of one man s search for
true happiness and his ultimate acceptance of life s disappointments. Candide grows up in the castle of
his uncle, a German baron, along with his optimistic scholar, Pangloss, and his young, beautiful
cousin, Cunégonde. When Candide falls in love with Cunégonde and his uncle sees them kissing,
Candide is thrown out of his home and enrolls in the Bulgar army. After being beaten for wandering
from camp, Candide flees to Holland and runs into an ugly beggar, who he is told to be Pangloss. He
tells Candide that Cunégonde and her family have been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Voltaire uses Pangloss and a contrasting character, Martin, to point out the shortcomings in Leibniz s
philosophy.
A contrast to the views of Pangloss is the character Martin. Martin, a pessimist, is a friend and advisor
to Candide whom he meets on his journey. Martin continuously tries to prove to Candide that there is
little virtue, morality, and happiness in the world. When a cheerful couple is seen walking and singing,
Candide tells Martin, At least you must admit that these people are happy (80). Martin answers
Candide s comment with the reply, I wager they are not (80). Martin suggests that Candide invite the
couple to dine at his hotel. As the young girl, now found to be Paquette, tells her story, Martin takes
pleasure in knowing he has won the wager.
Another contrast to this best of all possible worlds is Eldorado. Voltaire describes Eldorado as an
extremely peaceful and serene country. Eldorado, a place that is impossible to find, has no laws, jails,
war, or need for material goods. Voltaire uses Eldorado as an epitome of the best of all possible
worlds. It contrasts the real outside world in which war and suffering are everyday occurrences.
Another example of how Voltaire ridicules Pangloss optimistic philosophy is the mention of the
Lisbon earthquake and fire. Even though the disastrous earthquake took over 30,000 lives, Pangloss
still upheld his

Explain the Impact of Organisational Policies on the Troubleshooting and Repair Process (P1)
Referring to the policies related to the College s network. Produce an audio recording for the Network
manager to explain the impact of their organisational policies on the troubleshooting and repair
process. Introduction In this documents, I am going to be explaining the impact of organisational
policies on the troubleshooting and repair process, I am going to be talking about the organisational
policies, such as considerations e.g. security, costs, systems downtime, disruption, resource allocation,
prioritisation, contractual requirements, trend analysis, escalation procedures, documentation,
reporting, contractual legal issues. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Resources should be well balanced so if the resources are not needed they shouldn t been used.
Prioritisation The company should prioritize some of the aspect when performing repair as they might
be more important and they should be repaired first. For example if network is down and at the same
time printer is not working. The person that perform repair should concentrate on repairing network
instead of printer as without network printer would be useless. Contractual Requirements In a
company, the support team staff would be required to work shifts that will provide coverage for the
employees when the offices are officially opened, they will also need to provide extra time in the
evening and weekends, where they will carry out the essential maintenance which may have to
involve some downtime. The hours that an employee will have to work will be set out for them in
what is called an employment contract. They will be limited by the EU legislation and some other
regulations such as working time regulations, which will provide the basic right and protections such
as: A worker can be required to work at most an average of 48 hours a week (though workers can
choose to work more if they want to). For night workers there is a limit of an average of 8 hours
worked in 24. Night workers are entitled to receive free health assessments. All staff are entitled to 11
hours of rest a day and to one day off each week. When

Powwow Observation Report
The event I chose to attend was the Natchez 29th Annual Powwow. I was unaware of how much
history that was in the city of Natchez. This was a pretty fun experience for my husband and me. The
Powwow takes place every year in March in the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. I had never
attended a Powwow before, but had always heard how interesting it is. The Native Americans use
Powwows to meet together in dancing, singing, visiting with old friends and meeting new friends.
Powwows honor and keep alive the Native American traditions and cultures. Through this experience,
I was able to see how important spirituality is to the Native American cultures. Counselor Awareness

Representatives from all different tribes were present and they danced and sang together in harmony.
The traditional dress wear of the each tribe was beautiful and they introduced the tribes that were
present. I loved the sense of togetherness the participants had. Also, the experience broke a stereotype
for me. I was under the impression that all Native Americans were tan and had black hair. I guess I
related it to the movie Pocahontas and some western movies I ve seen. This certainly was not the case.
It goes to show you really can t judge someone with how they look or guess their culture with how
they look. This changed my way of thinking. I do anticipate to learn more about the Native American
culture and learn not to assume culture based on appearance. I generally do not mean to, but I belive
that everyone has unconscious thoughts and assumptions when they see someone different than
themselves. With the more knowledge I gain as a counselor and though my classes I want to tackle my
unconscious thoughts and assumptions. Through this class I have definitely become more aware of
what I have been told in relation to people different than

Liza who has been searching for her husband for twenty five years. Her husband name is Sam Taylor

Sam Taylor is Ryder who is now a head of Blue Veins Society. Blue Veins Society is a group for light
colored people. In which they had imaged themselves of higher class than dark people. However, my
question is why is Liza still searching for him for twenty five years. When she could had already been
educated and have a good life. I think I know the reason of why Liza was searching for Sam twenty
five years. I think it is because she doesn t want any

Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency Compared to HP s IRF
In order to provide speed and reliability, large and enterprise level networks today are typically
constructed in multiple layers. They are the access layer, also called the network edge layer, the
aggregation or distribution layer; and the network core layer. The access layer is usually a mesh of
network switches, linked to other switches in the aggregation layer, which in turn is linked to the core.
This mesh type application of switches provides multiple paths for network traffic to flow. What this
means is that if one link in the traffic flow or a switch goes down, traffic can continue to flow using an
alternate path. This type of mesh ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast, Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency advantages are claimed to offer rapid failover without service
disruption. The layer 2 is designed to streamline change management and service turn up without
WAN disruption with fewer errors. It offers a high availability through real time recovery and
resiliency at the network, device and design levels. Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency offers increased system
redundancy at the platform level, network security through access layer defense, identity based trust,
pervasive security and management as well as providing device posture assessments. Operational
efficiency is achieved through automated configuration, proactive diagnostics and simplified
troubleshooting. This is designed to provide predictable application performance to support converged
applications as well as support IP multicast for new applications. As with HP s IRF Resiliency, there
are several disadvantages associated with Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency. The router supports REP only
when the router is running the metro IP access or the metro access image. You have to configure each
segment port or an incorrect configuration will cause forwarding loops in networks. REP can only
manage one failed port within a segment. Multiple port failures within the REP segment cause high
loss of network connectivity.
Due to its simplistic manageability and scalability I would recommend HP s IRF Resiliency over
Cisco Layer

He adapts the mind set and ideals of his teacher, Merlin. Merlin consistently believes that jousting and tilting are foolish and childish. He passes his ideals on to Wart through showing him how foolish it is to joust when he takes Wart to see King Pellinore and Sir Grummore fight for no reason. He shows Wart that bravery isn t what he was traditionally taught and bravery is really shown when one has knowledge and a just mind set. White develops this motif through the theme that power corrupts and one must rule with equality and bravery in order to be a strong leader. Libertarianism Research Paper Libertarianism as a type of government gives the view that each individual has the right to live how they please, as long as the individual respects and does not interfere with another individuals life (Boaz 1997, 2). Rights are not given by government but are bestowed upon a person by virtue of being human and libertarians defend an individual s rights to property, life and liberty (Boaz 1997, 2). The libertarianism framework which stands for economic development and liberty under law is suited to the changing world, the dynamic world of today (Boaz 1997, 3). The main concept of libertarianism is individualism, where libertarians see every individual as their own person capable of making choices and being held responsible for their actions (Boaz 1997, 12). Individual rights are held to a high account, with each person having the right to be secure in life, property and liberty through virtue of being human (Boaz 1997, 12). Order in society is another core concept, developing from the integration of people and coordination within trade (Boaz 1997, 13). The Importance Of Medication Errors Introduction Medication errors result in over 700,000 emergency department visits each year in the United States, and nearly two thirds of these hospitalizations are due to accidental overdose (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Missed doses or overdoses are one of the problems related to medication safety (Anthony, 2015). A medication error is any act or occurrence which causes or leads to a patient receiving inappropriate medication treatment (Potter Perry, 2014). Errors can occur due to failure to follow procedures related to medication administration, lack of communication between healthcare staff, deciphering illegible handwriting and underlying system factors, such as distractions and time constraints (Potter Perry, 2014). Technological advances such as networked computers and other innovations have been placed in hospitals to study its impact on medication adherence; the following paper will compare and contrast these findings. I propose that geothermal energy is a clean, widely available, and renewable alternative to the usage of fossil fuels. In this paper, I will explain how use of geothermal resources can be energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost effective. Fossil fuels (oil, coal, natural gas) take up about 80 % of total energy consumed. Fossil fuels cause pollution and global warming yet we continue to use them. Our demand for fossil fuels has become so great that according to current projections, Earth s reserves will be depleted within the next 200 years. But we do not actually have 200 years to wait. Our run away consumption of fossil fuel not only endangers our ability to meet our future energy needs but also the environment. Fossil fuels cause significant pollution and global warming. This in turn compromises wildlife habitats and can even lead to extinction of animal and plant species. By looking at new sources such as geothermal energy, we can move towards a source that is not extremely harmful and yet still effective. Geothermal Energy Geothermal energy is heat energy that is stored underneath Earth s surface. It is mainly found at volcanoes, hot springs, or geysers. Heat stored in the hot water and steam found at these locations is captured and can be used to heat buildings or generate electricity. This energy source is renewable because heat from the earth is continuously produced. To obtain energy, you must either use hot water or steam from the source. The most common way of capturing the energy from geothermal sources is to tap into naturally occurring hydrothermal convection systems where cooler water seeps into Earth s crust, is heated up, and then rises to the ... Duffy begins the poem by employing a tricolon: A suspicion, a doubt, a jealousy . The development of insecurity is powerfully portrayed by this line, as the three emotions implied become stronger. Jealousy is often seen as detrimental and throughout the entirety of the poem, we see that Medusa slowly declines mentally and physically, making her life almost not worth living. Komunyaka Vietnam Veterans Memorial To me it seems as if Komunyakaa himself is the main character in the poem, it seems his face is sort of like a reflection in the dark granite that he is facing. Then he goes to state that he wouldn t cry, but it seems he is very emotional about something. I m stone. I m flesh (Line 5) maybe saying he feels that he s strong and manly, but he is feeling weak because he is crying, mentioning he s flesh because after all he is human and humans have emotions that you sometimes can t really control. It seems he is very aware of these feelings. It seems his only way out is to turn away from the wall, I think maybe he is trapped somewhere surrounded by these granite walls he seems to be facing and I do not think he can escape them. I think it is interesting how he came up with that number of names at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 58,022 (Line 14) it is so specific, its not like he actually counted them all, maybe it was just a guess or maybe he knows more then he is telling, maybe he was a Vietnam Veteran. ... These two groups were Native Americans and women. American western expansion made the conflict with Native Americans practically inevitable. Henry Clay even went as far as stating that their complete disappearance from the human family would be no great loss to the world . The westward movement and territorial expansion from the Louisiana Purchase created a devastating loss to the indigenous peoples. • 23. The Colonization Of Mexico Mestizaje is known as a process of racial and cultural blending or mixing. This was common pattern found amongst most indigenous and Spaniards after the Spanish invasion. The Spanish invasion was primarily a conquest driven on the need for more power and wealth, in order for the Spaniards to achieve what they wanted they knew they were going to need to negotiate with the indigenous people. Aside from this it was also evident that the indigenous people needed to figure out how to survive under the rule of the Spanish even if it meant they had to give in to the Spanish s way of life. The colonization of Mexico resulted in cultural blending of indigenous and Spanish culture, language, and religion as an act of survival. One of the major and more difficult goals for the Spaniards was to convert the indigenous people to Christianity. The Indigenous religion was so strange to the Spaniards that they believed the indigenous were not as evolved or progressed as they were. When Cortes was writing back to the Spanish crown he dramatized the indigenous people as savages who needed to be converted to Christianity in order to be saved. In the book Religions of Mesoamerica David Carrasco explains how, These beliefs and missionary efforts reflected the primary attitude of the Catholic Church that the native peoples were souls to be saved in a global process of conversion (Carrasco 21). Recent slowing in health expenditures has largely been due to price changes, a shift from inpatient to outpatient care, and increased coverage. However, here I will focus on operational changes within the health plan that can be made to decrease expenditures. I will discuss how investing in disease management programs, wellness incentives, and value based insurance design now can be used to control rising healthcare expenditures in the future while adding value for consumers. I will also discuss the challenges involved with implementing these initiatives. Disease Management Programs: Background A small portion of the patient population accounts for a disproportionate amount of health care expenditures primarily due to chronic illness (Shelton, 2002). Because of this, and the overall rise in healthcare costs, stakeholders have been searching for ways to target this small but expensive group of people. One way is through disease management programs. It is a common belief that education and preventive measures make it easier to manage chronic illness and reduce adverse outcomes including lengthy hospitalizations (Shelton, 2002). It requires a workforce, leaders, and most importantly natural resources like coal, steel, gold, silver and lumber. Coal was a valuable resource needed to power factories and transportation like the transcontinental railroad that spanned across the US. After the transcontinental railroad was built in 1869, more coal was found in the west that could be mined and then transported to the factories in the east. This led to the increase in material production and made manufacturing easier and cheaper. However, when coal is burned it gives off pollution so an increase in coal usage also impacted the environment. Additionally, working conditions in the factories back then were unimaginable. Workers were overworked and around dangerous machines at a young age. After the industrial revolution production of materials increased. According to Document 3, steel production in 1865 was 3,100,000 tons and in 1900 production increased to 9,000,000 tons, over triple the previous amount. During this time period the Bessemer Steel Process helped to increase steel production by using less coal and making steel cheaper. As the young girl, now found to be Paquette, tells her story, Martin takes pleasure in knowing he has won the wager. Another contrast to this best of all possible worlds is Eldorado. Voltaire describes Eldorado as an extremely peaceful and serene country. Eldorado, a place that is impossible to find, has no laws, jails, war, or need for material goods. Voltaire uses Eldorado as an epitome of the best of all possible worlds. It contrasts the real outside world in which war and suffering are everyday occurrences. Another example of how Voltaire ridicules Pangloss optimistic philosophy is the mention of the Lisbon earthquake and fire. Even though the disastrous earthquake took over 30,000 lives, Pangloss still upheld his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Produce an audio recording for the Network manager to explain the impact of their organisational policies on the troubleshooting and repair process. Introduction In this documents, I am going to be explaining the impact of organisational policies on the troubleshooting and repair process, I am going to be talking about the organisational policies, such as considerations e.g. security, costs, systems downtime, disruption, resource allocation, prioritisation, contractual requirements, trend analysis, escalation procedures, documentation, reporting, contractual legal issues. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Resources should be well balanced so if the resources are not needed they shouldn t been used. Prioritisation The company should prioritize some of the aspect when performing repair as they might be more important and they should be repaired first. For example if network is down and at the same time printer is not working. The person that perform repair should concentrate on repairing network instead of printer as without network printer would be useless. Contractual Requirements In a company, the support team staff would be required to work shifts that will provide coverage for the employees when the offices are officially opened, they will also need to provide extra time in the evening and weekends, where they will carry out the essential maintenance which may have to involve some downtime. The hours that an employee will have to work will be set out for them in what is called an employment contract. They will be limited by the EU legislation and some other regulations such as working time regulations, which will provide the basic right and protections such as: A worker can be required to work at most an average of 48 hours a week (though workers can choose to work more if they want to). For night workers there is a limit of an average of 8 hours worked in 24. Night workers are entitled to receive free health assessments. All staff are entitled to 11 hours of rest a day and to one day off each week. When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Powwow Observation Report The event I chose to attend was the Natchez 29th Annual Powwow. I was unaware of how much history that was in the city of Natchez. This was a pretty fun experience for my husband and me. The Powwow takes place every year in March in the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. I had never attended a Powwow before, but had always heard how interesting it is. The Native Americans use Powwows to meet together in dancing, singing, visiting with old friends and meeting new friends. Powwows honor and keep alive the Native American traditions and cultures. Through this experience, I was able to see how important spirituality is to the Native American cultures. Representatives from all different tribes were present and they danced and sang together in harmony. The traditional dress wear of the each tribe was beautiful and they introduced the tribes that were present. I loved the sense of togetherness the participants had. Also, the experience broke a stereotype for me. I was under the impression that all Native Americans were tan and had black hair. I guess I related it to the movie Pocahontas and some western movies I ve seen. This certainly was not the case. It goes to show you really can t judge someone with how they look or guess their culture with how they look. This changed my way of thinking. I do anticipate to learn more about the Native American culture and learn not to assume culture based on appearance. I generally do not mean to, but I belive that everyone has unconscious thoughts and assumptions when they see someone different than themselves. With the more knowledge I gain as a counselor and though my classes I want to tackle my unconscious thoughts and assumptions. Through this class I have definitely become more aware of what I have been told in relation to people different than ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Unit 6 Assignment 6 Chris Wiginton Essay Chris Wiginton IS 3120 Unit 6 Assignment 6 Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency Compared to HP s IRF In order to provide speed and reliability, large and enterprise level networks today are typically constructed in multiple layers. They are the access layer, also called the network edge layer, the aggregation or distribution layer; and the network core layer. The access layer is usually a mesh of network switches, linked to other switches in the aggregation layer, which in turn is linked to the core. This mesh type application of switches provides multiple paths for network traffic to flow. What this means is that if one link in the traffic flow or a switch goes down, traffic can continue to flow using an alternate path. This type of mesh ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In contrast, Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency advantages are claimed to offer rapid failover without service disruption. The layer 2 is designed to streamline change management and service turn up without WAN disruption with fewer errors. It offers a high availability through real time recovery and resiliency at the network, device and design levels. Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency offers increased system redundancy at the platform level, network security through access layer defense, identity based trust, pervasive security and management as well as providing device posture assessments. Operational efficiency is achieved through automated configuration, proactive diagnostics and simplified troubleshooting. This is designed to provide predictable application performance to support converged applications as well as support IP multicast for new applications. As with HP s IRF Resiliency, there are several disadvantages associated with Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency. The router supports REP only when the router is running the metro IP access or the metro access image. You have to configure each segment port or an incorrect configuration will cause forwarding loops in networks. REP can only manage one failed port within a segment. Multiple port failures within the REP segment cause high loss of network connectivity. Due to its simplistic manageability and scalability I would recommend HP s IRF Resiliency over Cisco Layer ...
