Further complicating the already daunting task were 6 active directories of users, a diverse set of admins, and different levels of organizational maturity across our development, product, and business teams. A year after we set sail, Paysafe now has a single production instance of the majority of these products, with little impact to users, no data loss, and improved performance. In this session, we will outline our journey into the uncharted waters of consolidation focusing on our 4 JIRA instances, as this was the most critical and challenging mission in our quest. Optimizing Git LFS Migration Through Repository Data-mining
This document discusses optimizing migration to Git LFS (Large File Storage) by analyzing repository data. It recommends setting a Git LFS file size cutoff between 100KB and 1000KB based on metrics like clone size increase over time, number of files tracked, and workspace size without large files. The analysis found that a cutoff below 800KB produced the best results for these metrics when migrating a large 75GB repository to Git LFS.

Devops Journey - internet tech startup
This document summarizes the experience of a QA consultant working with a tech startup to implement DevOps practices to improve their software development process. The consultant found the startup was stuck in outdated practices from the 1980s, with no automation, poor source control, and manual testing and deployment. The consultant implemented continuous integration using tools like Jenkins, test automation with Behat and Mink, and automated deployment. This eliminated errors, provided visibility, and allowed developers to focus on development. While progress was made, the consultant notes further improvements are still needed, especially adopting better Agile practices.

The Need for Speed
DevOps provides the ability to increase time to market to an new level. The question is no longer if we need to speed up our delivery. The challenge is to find the right „pace“ for your product. Not every organization and every product needs to run at the speed of Netflix and Spotify, even if we’d like it to be like this. We need to adjust the organization, processes and tools appropriatly and to identify the real bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline continuously. And by the way, we need to justify our investment in the DevOps mission. Are we just automating the current processes or can we use this DevOps thing to really support our business? In this talk, I’d like to discuss with you how to find the right design for your delivery process and your organization to behave as a business enabler and how you can scale DevOps within your organization without loosing agility.
