MODAL THE CERTAINTY
we can use modal verbs to show our level of certainty; the modal of certainty
are divide in two parts. Certain and uncertain
 MUST/HAVE TO/ HAVE GOT TO/:
 MIGHT/MAY/COULD:
 CAN´T : EXPRESS A STRONG CERTAINTY THAT SOMETHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
AND CAN USE WITH THE MODAL CERTAIN AND UNCERTAIN

DEFINITELY
EXAMPLE: SHE HAVE SUFFERED AN INJURY, SO SHE CAN´T WALK FAST.

The modal uncertain are used to say that you are unsure.
It means you are very sure, but not 100%.
EXAMPLE: HE MUST/HAVE TO/HAVE GOT O BE TIRED, HE HAS WORKED ALL THE DAY
EXAMPLE: HE MUST/HAVE TO/HAVE GOT O BE TIRED, HE HAS WORKED ALL THE DAY

THE PERFECT INFINITIVE

He may/might/ could be studying English grammar
It can't be raining right now. It was sunny this morning.

IMPOSSIBLE
She must/have to/ have go to be sleeping at home. She isn't answering her phone.
He may/might/ could have woken up late. He still hasn't arrived.
It was sunny with a clear sky yesterday. It can't have rained last night.
MAYBE
John didn't come to school yesterday. He must/have to/have go to have
been sick.
Note: For the past participle of the verb, go, you may use been or gone in American English if you are
describing something that is finished or completed. If you are explaining the present situation, we only use gone:
Example: I don't think Beth is at school anymore. She could have gone home.
