Effects Of Bhramari Pranayama
Effect of Bhramari Pranayama on State Anxiety
The Objective of this study was to determine the effects of Bhramari Pranayama on State Anxiety on
sedentary male. The subjects for this study were selected from the Bhopal. A total of 40 sedentary
male subjects were selected and used as one experimental group (20) and other control group (20).
Bhramari Pranayama was considered the independent variable and State Anxiety was considered the
dependent variable. Anxiety was measured with STAS Anxiety Questionnaire. Training was given up
to two months. 3 times in week; each session scheduled for 40 minutes. The Pre Test Post Test
randomize group design was used for this study. Tests were administered before the training program
and after the completion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All subjects were almost from the same socio economic group and were found to be physically fit for
the type of programme they were selected. The subjects were divided into two groups (experimental
group and control group) at random by drawing the lots. The age of these subjects range between 40 to
55 years. All of them were taking part in routine physical activity programme as per the classes of the
school.
Selection of Variable On the basis of various literatures on physical variables; finding out the related
research study and keeping in mind the specific purpose of the study to find out the effect of Bhramari
Pranayama on Anxiety.
Experimental Design Pre test and post test randomized group design was employed in the study.
Procedure for Administration of the Test After randomization selecting the subject, they were
estimated for their Anxiety level was measured with help of STAS questionnaire. After collecting the
initial data, the subjects were administrated for two months training schedule, which was three day per
week for duration of 40 mins in the morning i.e.8.00 A.M. to 8.45 AM on Monday, Wednesday and
Friday for duration of two months. And after the two months, Anxiety level was again estimated by
STAS questionnaire. The practice session was conducted for a period of 40

Essay about Rollercoasters
Introduction:
You wait in line for what seems like forever and finally you take your seat. You pull the paddle bars so
they fit snug against your shoulders. You reach the top and then comes the big drop. You start
screaming or if you re daring you put your hands up and enjoy the ride. I m of course speaking of
roller coasters. Today I m going to go over the history, the different types of roller coasters, the
mechanics, and the most important part, safety of roller coasters.
History
The oldest roller coaster is believed to have originated from the so called Russian Mountains , which
were specially constructed hills of ice, located around Saint Petersburg. Built in the 15th century, the
slides were built to a height between 70 and 80 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perhaps the best known historical roller coaster, The Cyclone, was opened at Coney Island in 1927.
The Great Depression marked the end of the first golden age of roller coasters, and amusement parks
in general went into deterioration.
In 1959 the Disneyland theme park introduced a new design breakthrough with the Matterhorn
Bobsleds. This was the first roller coaster to use a tubular steel track. Unlike conventional rails set on
wooden railroad ties, tubular steel can be bent in any direction, which allows designers to incorporate
loops, corkscrews, and many other maneuvers into their designs. Most modern roller coasters are
made of steel, although wooden coasters are still being built. New designs and technologies are
pushing the limits of what can be experienced on the newest coasters.
Mechanics:
The cars on a typical roller coaster are not self powered. A standard full circuit coaster is pulled up
with a chain or cable along the lift hill to the first peak of the coaster track. The potential energy
accumulated by the rise in height is transferred to kinetic energy as the cars race down the first
downward slope. Kinetic energy is then converted back into potential energy as the train moves up
again to the second peak. This hill is necessarily lower, as some mechanical energy is lost to friction.
Not all rides feature a lift hill, however. The train may be set into motion by

Analysis Of A Man Runs Into A Woman
A Man Runs into a Woman by Sarah Jane Barnett There s a lot going on in A Man Runs into a
Woman, yet nothing happens as well. Sarah Jane Barnett explores the different means of telling an
individual s story; a cross dressing father interacts with her daughter, a couple tries to connect with
each other after the war, another couple leaves the worst unsaid, and two middle aged strike up an
unlikely friendship. A series of stringed distinctive poems tries exploring the grim police reports of the
death of Texas death row inmates and their heartfelt last words, before their ultimatum. The book is
divided in three parts. The middle ones are the longest and is devoted to the last sentiments of death
row prisoners, facing the ultimatum in America. The links that joins the poems in the second part is
the description of the crimes, what the prisoners had done, which had landed them where they are in
the current scenario. Sarah writes the poems, in a sense, she s announcing to the world of what she
thinks a poem should look like. The Jeffery Levine (2011) website states that the poems, one writes
while urging wittingly or unconsciously is an aesthetic, that should be the ones that belong in the book
(para. 6). Sarah Jane Barnett s main concerns is with the movement of impact, in slow motion, and its
aftermath, as reflected by the title. It is very introspecting in retrospect, the texts. Although running

employers earning more than $297,000 annual gross receipts shall pay the minimum wage rate of
$8.10 while those earning less than that shall pay wages amounting to a minimum of $7.25 according
to the Fair Labor Standards Act of the federal government. This law protects the employees in the
DPG who are not salaried. It ensures that the employees are given rights for the sustainability and the

Evaluation Of The Wildlife Photographer, Shooting...
Technical specifications matter. They can also be confusing or overwhelming. Many of the previously
discussed topics will help you know which technical specifications to research, as only some of them
will be important to you and your photography goals. For the wildlife photographer, shooting tethered
is a feature that may never be used. On the other hand, a portrait photographer or stock photographer
may find tethered shooting invaluable. Other technical details will be determined by your personal
preferences, such as which type of storage or batteries you want to invest in.
These are considerations you can research in general before visiting your camera store, with specific

Your photography goals will help determine which sensor size is required. If you have already decided
that you are purchasing a medium format camera, this information is less important for you than for
others since the medium format camera uses the medium format sensor. However, if you expect to
purchase one of the other camera types, such as an SLR, DSLR, or a compact/mirrorless camera, you
will want to learn more about the common sensor sizes.
It s important to be aware that sensor size and sensor resolution are different, and that the resolution of
the final image is related to both of these, plus other, specifications. The largest sensor size commonly
used in the more common camera types is called the full frame sensor, which is most similar to 35mm
film. The APS H, APS C, and Four Thirds sensors have smaller dimensions and are commonly called
crop sensors. Note that for each of these dimensions, the sensitivity or number of pixels can vary,
resulting in potentially different resolutions for that particular sensor size. Manufacturers are pushing
the technical capabilities and hardware as much as possible, so be sure to read about their most recent
releases if resolution is a priority for you. Very generally speaking, the larger sensor, the higher the
potential resolution. If your goal is large sized, fine art prints, the larger the sensor you can reasonably
purchase makes sense. Otherwise, for smaller sized prints, including social media, crop

Impact Of Executive Orders On Society
Presidential Executive Orders and The Social Impact on American Society American Presidents are
constrained in the power they can wield because of the separation of powers between the branches of
government. Presidents use executive orders to compensate for their limited power. Presidents have
also taken unilateral action to address the needs and concerns of important political constituencies
before Congress is ready to act. (Gitterman 2017) Executive orders assume three forms: 1) self
executing, orders that are dependent on government agencies implementing the order, 2) Altering
institutional structures and processes, and 3) Symbolic arguing tools. (Mayer 2001) Presidents also
gain more control through unilateralism and collection action because the president s order is also
considered a command; when this command is given to the executive branch, it conforms to the
president s will. (Rudalevige 2012) Presidents must remember that they can be noble, but when they
apply their personal beliefs to executive orders, while ignoring public sentiment, executive opinions ...

(Cooper 2001) Executive orders can also influence program funding, such as welfare and food
assistance, healthcare, and social security under vague legislative instructions directing agencies to
decrease funds to the programs. (Orentlicher 2017) Economic policies of the federal government are
often influenced by executive orders that can cause an increase or decrease in federal revenue; a weak
economy with higher taxes makes it harder for families in poverty to meet basic needs, but a strong
long term economy provides increased revenue to the federal government, which could be used to
fund more social programs and reduce the poverty rate. (Gittell

primary markets and secondary markets. Primary markets are where securities are sold for the first

Initial Public Offering or IPO would be sold on the Primary markets because it has a new security. At

Abstract
During the 1920s and 1930s, Britain saw a movement of its inner city industries moving out to
adjacent sites which lead to Britain s road network to be redeveloped.
Britain s first motorway , the 13 km Preston bypass was opened in 1958, and following this the
Goverment planned to improve 6750km of road to at least dual carriageway standard to form strategic
inter urban network for England. This network was marked as a national commitment, which would
enhance road safety, be easily connected to all major centres of population, promote economic growth
and regional development.

Peter Kirkpatrick s Suburban Moment
Peter Kirkpatrick s poem Suburban Moment, 2 a.m. is a poem told in first person by the narrator or
persona which Kirkpatrick has created. It is structured as a 14 line sonnet with eight lines in the first
stanza and six lines in the second stanza. In the poem, Kirkpatrick presents a persona/narrator,
suggestively himself, who, during the middle of the night (at 2 a.m. as the title suggests) has an
extensive case of writer s block and is determined not to let sleep tempt him until his poem is
complete. The language used, along with the sentence structure of the poem, suggests a stuck and
frustrated tone and situation. There are three particular lines which seem to be quite effective within
this poem. These lines are: 1. No moon. No clouds. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This grammatical feature allows for the writer to explain, and the reader to comprehend, the time at
which the action of the verb takes place. It should be explained to the students the importance of verb
tenses. In particular, the aspect that these three tenses tell the time of a verb s action. In line with this,
it is also important for children to be given a definition for each of the tenses. For example: a past verb
tense (simple) shows that the action had occurred in the past, or the time leading up to now; a present
verb tense (simple) shows an action that is happening at that moment in time, or is reoccurring
regularly; and a future verb tense (simple) shows an action that will happen in the future, and have not
taken place yet. In simple verb tenses, past tense is generally recognised by words such as was ,
has/have , and words with an ed ending (e.g. I was talking , I have talked , I talked ); present tense can
be recognised by words such as is , am , are , and verbs ending in an s or ing (e.g. He is talking , I am
talking , We are talking , He talks ); future tense is normally recognised through the use of the word
will (e.g. I will

Second Letter To Corinthians
2 CORINTHIANS 8 AND 9: CHRISTIAN GIVING
In chapters eight and nine of the second letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote principles and
instructions in giving that a Christian should live by and recognize. In this paper, a few will be studied
and analyzed through the account of Paul s involvement in the Jerusalem collection to get a better
understanding of them, but most importantly to see how God wants Christians to apply these to their
lives. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
A major example of giving begins with Paul and his account of the financial need that was obviously
very great for the young New Testament church. The less time that ... Show more content on

As Christians it is required that faith is proved by works. A Christian that believes in the Savior of the
world but does not obey Him is worthless. James wrote What does it profit, my brethren, if someone
says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and
destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do
not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus, also faith by itself,
if it does not have works, is dead (James 2:15 17). Later in verse nineteen, James rebukes that even
demons believe in the Lord. Nevertheless, a Christian proves his worth, proves His love for the Lord
by doing His will, and His will is that Christians not only help each other, Therefore, as we have
opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians
6:10). Jesus Christ also requires Christians to be examples of working men, women, and families to
the world, You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).
Jesus Christ was an example of this to Christians then and now, Then Jesus spoke to them again,
saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light

Evolution Of Managed Care And The Forces That Have Driven...
Describe the evolution of managed care and the forces that have driven its evolution.
Managed care and its competition is being viewed to solve their issue on the struggle to control rising
health care costs. Managed care can be defined a system of delivering health services in which care is
delivered by a specified network of providers who agree to comply with the care approaches
established through a case management process. Managed care has a one hundred years of history in
the United States, and it gained national recognition around mid 1970s. The health maintenance
organizations (HMOs) are managed care organizations. There are two categories of MCOs are,
preferred provider organizations (PPOs) and point of service plans
(POS). There are over half of Americans with health insurance are enrolled in managed care plans.
Currently the debate in the United States is in regard to the quality of care provided by MCOs and
traditional fee for service plans. Another major issue with managed care is the use of gag clauses in
contracts amongst the MCOs and their providers. These clauses limit providers from being more
informative to patients about the alternative treatments or the details of reimbursements for providers.
The U.S. health care reform failed in 1994, and it caused a more focused turn to the marketplace to
provide the stimulus for reducing costs.
A few new trends are rising as managed care enters its second generation: dual and triple option plans

Captain Cook is most known for his extensive voyages of discovery for the British Navy, mapping
much of the world s uncharted waters during that time. He circumnavigated the world twice during his
lifetime, during which he logged descriptions of numerous plants and animals then unknown to most
of mankind. Following Cook s explorations, a number of scientists began a closer study of marine life
including Charles Darwin (1809 1882) who, although he is best known for the Theory of Evolution,
contributed significantly to the early study of marine biology. His expeditions as the resident naturalist
aboard the HMS Beagle from 1831 to 1836 were spent collecting and studying specimens from a
number of marine organisms that were sent to the British Museum for cataloguing. His interest in
geology gave rise to his study of coral reefs and their formation. His experience on the HMS Beagle
helped Darwin formulate his theories of natural selection and evolution based on the similarities he
found in species specimens and fossils he discovered in the same geographic region. The voyages of
the HMS Beagle were followed by a 3 year voyage by the British ship HMS Challenger led by Sir
Charles Wyville Thomson (1830 1882) to all the oceans of the world during which thousands of
marine specimens were collected and analyzed. This voyage is often referred to as the birth

Queen Gertrude Is Responsible For Ophelia s Death
In Hamlet, William Shakespeare leaves many mysteries for the audience to decipher on their own.
One such, is the mystery surrounding Ophelia s death. Harmonie Loberg, in the article, Queen
Gertrude: Monarch, Mother, Murderer, argues that, Queen Gertrude is responsible for Ophelia s death
(60). The Queen s description of Ophelia s death is controversial because it is so full of detail, that
many believe it must be an eye witness account. Did the Queen kill Ophelia to try and protect Hamlet?
The last scene seems to answer this question, as the Queen shares in the same fate that befalls all of
the other murderers in the play. Ophelia s death is suspicious and should not be thought of as a suicide,
but instead a calculated murder by an overly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When people get an idea in their heads that their leaders are corrupt it can lead to governments being
overthrown. These songs, and the idea that they put into the heads of the people, are enough to give
the Queen a motive to get rid of Ophelia, and her rambling on about the death of her father and the
return of her brother only add to the fire (4.5 29 33, 71). What may keep her from killing Ophelia at
this point is the knowledge that the King has sent Hamlet to England, where she believes he is safe.
The Queen knows Laertes is on his way home and if Hamlet were to return now, there would be
trouble. When Laertes returns he incites a riot, seeking revenge for his father s murder, he goes after
the King. When he finally gains admission to the King he is very angry and the Queen has to hold him
back (4.5. ). Loberg says this is when the Queen switches from a woman who handles her problems
through words, to a woman who starts to become physical to protect what she views as hers (66). The
King and Queen manage to convince Laertes that the King is not responsible for Polonius s death, but
they do not tell Laertes who is responsible, or at least that is what the Queen

Southwest Airlines Merger
BASIC STRATEGY: In order to make up for increasing expenses Southwest needs to expand. My
recommended strategy for Southwest to pursue, is to merge with Air Tran and expand into areas where
Air Tran has a heavy presence and Southwest has none. With Southwest having a weak presence in the
southeastern U.S., a key area to expand would be Atlanta s Hartsfield Jackson International, which is
the busiest airport in the U.S. There is obviously a need for the low air fare company at this site.
Southwest s unique approach of no extra charge for luggage and extra friendly service should help
Southwest. The merger is estimated to cost Southwest $1.4 billion dollars; Air Trans income for 2010
was around $128 million, and along with the 138 new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the process of the absorption, there will need to be strong communication to the customers to
let them know when exactly changes will be taking place. Updates should be kept daily on Southwest
s website and up to date information should be presented to all passengers when booking flights.
Television commercials should be ran (especially around the Atlanta area) showing newly remodeled
planes that once carried AirTran customers and show major improvements appealing to both
vacationers and business travelers. Strong communication on how the AirTran frequent flyer miles
will implemented by Southwest. This could be an area of major conflicts between Southwest and old
loyal AirTran customers, but strong communication could easily prevent many conflicts.
Shared Values: The unique culture and values of Southwest Airlines has been one of the key factors of
Southwest s success over the years. Southwest s CEO feels that the employees of Southwest are the
company s single greatest strength and most enduring long term competitive advantage. Getting
AirTran s acquired employees to commit to the shared vision of the company will be another key
implementation lever during the acquisition process. Southwest really values a fun and loving
atmosphere among employees and passengers. Employees and management go out of their ways to
implement these values and AirTran employees will be expected to share these values as well as
management strives for total alignment. (Successful

Joyce Yang Research Paper
When Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Silver Medalist and piano superstar Joyce
Yang comes to my mind, I think of an artist who has the astounding ability to splash many
brilliant colors to a canvas in an engaging way that brings me awe. In fact, she is known as a
pianist who sees music in a colorful way, and she brings those feelings to her music through her
very unique style of interpretation and disposition. She also has a way of drawing the audience
into the engaging musical world that she is pouring out on stage in such a way that causes you to

Joyce Yang powerfully emoted those characteristics at the
piano by playing in a serious, commanding manner as though she were playing a Russian piano
concerto with broad chords. The piano greatly filled the theater through her very big sound
which blew away many of the pianists in attendance because the particular piano that she played
on has a heavy action. Although heaviness can easily lead to harshness on the piano, Joyce Yang
showed absolutely none of that at all and made her deep parts very emotionally heart wrenching
instead which I really appreciated because it is not easy for some people to find that balance.
The third movement was played in a very light and carefree manner that felt very refreshing
because it gave the audience a break from the two previous fierce movements. It had a very
exotic, comedic, and dance like feel to it which Joyce Yang presented in a very fun way that
had my fingers wanting tapping the rhythm. In the final movement, she showcased some
charming innocence that reminded me of the third movement s mischievousness. I thought
that this movement would continue to be lighthearted until the end, but I was very deceived.

The Breakup Of The Soviet Union
In 1992, the breakup of the Soviet Union, nationalist struggles in the Balkans, the creation of a
European community, the emergence of Japan as an economic giant from the 1970s into the 1990s,
and the presence of American culture on a global scale all focused attention on the construction and
continuity of national identities. Within Great Britain, the loss of empire and receding Protestantism
precipitated the re emergence of Englishness, Scottishness, and Welshness. Historians of Britain began
to ask what it meant to be British, on what foundations did a sense of British national identity rest, and
when should [British] history begin? Linda Colley posits answers to these three questions in Britons:
Forging the Nation 1707 1837. Britons came to define themselves (sometimes) as a single people, not
because of any political or cultural consensus at home, but rather in reaction to the Other beyond their
shores and Britishness was superimposed over an array of internal differences in response to contact
with the Other, and above all in response to conflict with the Other. Thus, in Colley s formulation,
Britain was an invention forged above all by war with Catholic France. War against the Other was the
mechanism for Britishness, but Protestantism was the foundation that made the invention of Great
Britain possible. British history begins with the nation of Great Britain, which was invented in 1707
when the Parliament of Westminster passed the Act of Union

Clarisse doesn t die and they omit to tell or mention that there is a war going on. Some similarities are
the characters personalities and looks. All of these things have impact on how the movie and book
contrast and compare to each other. Characters in the book and movie are mostly the same to each
other. For example, Mildred/Linda and Clarisse are almost exactly the same to their character in the
movie and book. Clarisse is still curious and imaginative while, Mildred/Linda is still shallow. In the

However, they both have an important role in both types of fahrenheit 451. Clarisse s role is to ask
Montag questions to make him realize that the society isn t good for him. In the book, Clarisse s death

nevertheless, they didn t kill Clarisse in the movie. So in the end, Mildred s/Linda s role was very akin

Themes In The Bald Soprano
In this world where everyone seeks to be heard especially in an age of social media, words are
exchanged mechanically; words are spoken for the sake of speaking. People talk about unimportant
and pointless matters and treat them as one would the most important matters in the world. For
instance, many people spend a lot of time talking about gossips, money, social status, and other topics
of conversation that ultimately lack depth, significance, and meaning. This idea that people s priorities
are placed incorrectly emerges as one of the main themes of Eugene Ionesco s play The Bald Soprano.
Beneath the chaotic, hilarious, and seemingly nonsensical staging of the one act play Ang Sopranong
Kalbo, directed by Dexter M. Santos, which is Rolando Tinio s Filipino translation of Donald M.
Allen s English translation of Eugene Ionesco s The Bald Soprano, the play effectively emphasizes the
absurdity of people s preoccupations. By lessening its focus on other themes such as time and reality,
which are also fundamental themes of Ionesco s play, the adaptation depicts a stronger, more intense
absurdist play that questions the priorities of humans. In terms of characterization and plot, not much
has changed in the adaptation. This is probably because Ionesco s ... Show more content on

Abstract
Fault tolerance is the characteristic of a system that tolerates the class of failures. It will analysis the
performance and enables a system to continue its intended operation, possibly at a reduced level,
rather than failing completely, when some part of the system fails. The system as a whole is not
stopped due to problems either in the hardware or the software. [1][2] Fault tolerance is the ability for
software to detect and recover from a fault that is happening or has already happened in either the
software or hardware in the system in which the software is running in order to provide service in
accordance with the specification. [3]Fault tolerance is not a solution unto itself however, and it is
important to realize that software fault tolerance is just one piece necessary to create the next
generation of systems. A highly fault tolerance system might continue at the same level of
performance even though one or more components have failed. For example, a building with a backup
electrical generator will provide the same voltage to wall outlets even if the grid power fails [4].

Incarceration In California s Prisons
Life in Incarceration did not define the end of a normal life within the state of California. In fact
California s prison system brought a sense of purpose to those behind bars. In Doing Time in the
Depressions second chapter, the process and key fundamentals of California s Honor Camps , was
system in which inmates were given salary towards the work they did as prisoners.Within the text it
states ...California s road camps made a distinct contribution both to the solution of the prison labor
problem and to penology, (California, para. 1). Prisoners receiving paid labor for their work, and a
decreased amount of physical punishment put a different light toward the Incarceration system. The
camp created a positive impact within California, redefining the Prison Industry entirely.
California s Camp developed a prisoners commitment to growth and rehabilitation. The participation
in Camp was designed to break the negative cycle of recidivism, and an acceptance of personal

the third chapter of Doing Time in Depression, the reading explains how agriculture was still the

organization. Prisons were now run asbusinesses, which means the only thing that actually mattered
was revenue. How much could the prisons produce for the lowest amount of money? Texas prison
general manager Lee Simmons had an agenda for his own prisoners, much like they did in California.

Off Road Research Paper
The Perfect Off Road Car Purchasing a vehicle requires a lot of research to make sure you get a good
deal and a good and a reliable car. The car must also suit your needs. The car I need is one with off
road capabilities for camping trips. This is because I go camping all the time. Usually I go camping
about 1 time every single month. This means that I ll need a car to bring me there and back even when
there is no more road. Also off roading is a sport I enjoy. It would really be nice to have a car that I
can do that with. That s why one of my requirements for the car is having 4x4 capability. The car must
be able to handle off road usage to get me places I need to go. There are also other activities other than
camping that require a car ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kelley Blue Book stated that if I wanted this car with all my requirements, then it would cost me
between $8,126 $10,607. This is a bit expensive. I picked my budget to be $10,000 because I believe
if I work the right summer jobs I can earn enough by the time I need the car. My parents have agreed
to pay for college, so I can use the money I earn for a car by the time I go to college. This is a very
high price for my budget, as I still need to pay for gas and insurance. If I go cheap in the $8,000 range,
though, the car will probably have hidden faults or won t be as reliable. This car is very compact with
4 person seating. This makes it easily maneuverable. This is a problem if I would like to drive lots of
people around like friends or family. This car has a very high miles per gallon. Kelley Blue Book puts
it as 14 MPG for the city and 18 MPG for the highway and it says it takes gas. This would make gas
very expensive, and I might not be able to pay for that amount of gas. The car I am looking at is the
2003 model because I m not able to afford anything newer and it should be reliable enough until I get
a new car. This car I chose not to buy because of high gas mileage, high price, and because it doesn t
have enough

How Did Constantine Make A Collage About Christianity
Constantine, the son of Constantius I Chlorus, junior emperor and St. Helena, was raised on the court
of co Emperor Diocletian. When his father died in 306, Constantine was declared junior emperor of
York, England. He got his power from his father when he became caesar. Constantine was left with
Galerius in the court of the emperor Diocletian. When Diocletian and Maximian had to resign in 305,
they made Constantine and Galerius emperor. There are two emperors, because one has to stay and
govern the land and the other has to go out and win wars and earn land. Most of the time, you get to be
emperor when your father resigns, but you could also be emperor if the people want you to lead them.
On one of my slides, I made a collage about christianity, because Constantine made the first Roman
church council. This boosted the religion of christianity, because many people wanted to be like their
leader, and so many people came to know Christ. He also created the first church in Rome, because he
was already a christian. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Two Major Unions in America Essay
Two Major Unions in America
Unions in America were created to improve the working conditions of its labor force. These labor
force consisted of the men, women, and children that were employed by the owners of industry. Many
unions were established in the early 1800s, but due to the widespread fear of socialism and the
repression from the courts, the majority of them eventually failed. Most capitalist, at the time, felt
there was no need to share with its employees the profits of their businesses (Murrin et al. 2002:685

measures and health protection for the people actually doing the work. Employees worked long hours

Supreme Court, repeatedly found unions in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act, even though that
act had been intended to control corporations, not unions (Murrin et al. 2002:701).
Later in their careers some of these men became humanitarians. But instead of providing social reform
in the work place with better wages and other benefits, they distributed large quantities of their wealth
instead to colleges and libraries; now they were looked at as heroes by society.
Consequently, due to abuses from employers to the people under them, laws and regulations to protect
workers were established and are now enforced by the U.S. Department of Labor. These laws protect
over 10 million employers and about 125 million employees (2003). As written in the Department of
Labors General Information website, it says
In carrying out this mission, the Department administers a variety of Federal labor laws including
those that guarantee workers rights to safe and healthful working conditions; a minimum hourly wage
and overtime pay; freedom from employment discrimination; unemployment insurance; and other
income support (2003).
The involvement of the federal government helped curb or eliminate conditions as those found in
sweatshops and other places. These jobsites usually were where people had to put in long hours under
unsafe working conditions.

Ethics and Professional Responsibility
Like most business professions, there has to be a strong sense of ethics and responsibility. Especially
professions like law or public accounting. They must have strong standards of integrity. In public
accounting, people rely heavily on the information being provided on companies. Any mistakes or
intentional cover up will have high costs to the economy and dire consequences. Even though there
are laws and standards that regulate auditing, it does not completely stop or prevent firms from doing
immoral acts. Before Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, auditing for both public and privately held
companies followed the AICPA s standards of the 10 generally accepted auditing standards. In the

There was a conflict of interest between the FOF and KRC. Should they have told FOF about the
heavy overcharges of the properties being sold from KRF to FOF for the interest of FOF, or kept silent
of the matter for the interest of KRC? Andersen had chose the latter choice and got caught in a
unfavorable situation. From the very beginning when Andersen found out about FOF and KRC
advisory relationship, they should have immediately not accepted to engage with KRC. Auditing for
opposing sides can cause serious problems for the firm. The auditing firm will be the first one to be
liable for their actions. Either choice would have resulted in a lawsuit with the client.
Both cases of Enron and the Fund of Funds addresses a serious issue with independence. In the AICPA
s generally accepted auditing standards, The auditors must maintain independence in mental attitude in
all matters regarding the audit. Because Andersen had conducted so much non auditing services that
impaired independence, the Government Accountability Office imposed more restrictive standards on
auditor independence. Public accounting firms cannot allow personnel that does the auditing to also
work on nonattest engagements for the same client. Also the accounting firms themselves can not
perform nonattest services that are significant or material to the subject of the audit. Section 203 of
Sarbanes Oxley further addresses issues of Andersen s independence. In section 203, it states that it is

Literary Devices In A Prayer For Owen Meany
When reading John Irving s, A Prayer for Owen Meany, he uses a plethora of literary devices and
techniques. Out of the list that he displays in this novel, there are three elements that really draw
through the entire piece. These being: foreshadowing, irony, and setting. The three listed are the
devices Irving uses to the most extent and impact the story more than all the others. Foreshadowing is
the clearest to spot throughout the chapters. Launching in the second chapter, The Armadillo, was
when Owen Meany first came across as a Christ figure. Johnny s cousins come to 80 Front Street to
visit for Thanksgiving and Owen Meany is upstairs in the attic with Johnny. Hesitantly, Johnny
introduces the cousins to Owen, scared of how they ll treat Owen, or how they ll treat Johnny for
being friends with him. After the cousins declare how wimpy Owen is and make fun of his voice, they
see Owen in the attic with his arms behind his back (being armless) and the sun shining from behind
him, making him look like the ultimate Christ figure. Hester even stated to Johnny that she didn t even
think he was human. Johnny connects Owen to God, thinking that there is no doubt that, in the
dazzling configurations of the sun that poured through the attic in skylights, he look looked like a
descending angel a tiny but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of symbolism could even be Owen Meany representing Christ or Johnny s guardian angel
who ends up cutting off Johnny s trigger finger for his protection from the draft to Vietnam.
Armlessness is also a symbol that Irving utilizes through out the entire novel, with different objects
and characters representing the disadvantages of missing a body part or the helplessness of some
people, or relationships with God and surrendering to their beliefs. These people include Lydia s
amputated leg, Johnny s finger, Tabitha s dressing dummy, and many others mentioned through out the

Comparing The Five Faithful Sayings Of The Pastoral Epistles
The Five Faithful Sayings of the Pastoral Epistles for the Growing Christian
The Christian today, gets saved and then continues in his life without spiritual growth or nurturing.
Clergy assume that believers are familiar with the contents of those Bibles sitting on their
bookshelves. They assume church members understand the teachings of other major religions and can
hold thoughtful, respectful conversations about the differences between these faiths, states Patheos in
reference to a Gallop poll. No real discipleship is present in the local church. However, five key points
arise in the Pastoral Epistles. Paul wrote the five true and faithful sayings to Timothy and Titus as they
pastored to churches; but the sayings have practical application for the growing Christian in the
church, today.
Introduction
The faithful saying is an interesting word ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The expression and worthy of all acceptation expresses a more in depth truth and emphasis on this
statement showing the preeminence. Came into the world signifies the truth of Jesus conformation in
the form of a man in bodily form. To save sinners is the most selfless act described in Isaiah 53: 8. The
main purpose for the immortal, invisible God (1 Timothy 1:17) to come in the form of a servant, in the
form of a mortal man was to humble himself unto death, even the death on the cross.
A. Doctrine
Paul, writing to Timothy a pastor of the church at Ephesus, encourages him to hold fast the faith. H. B.
Swete explained in his work The Faithful Sayings, In 1 Tim. 1, 15 πάσηςἀποδοχῆς ἄξιος is clearly a
preamble, and the saying is attached to it by a recitative ὄτι. The first part is a prerequisite of the
Christian walk, affirmation of salvation through faith in the blood of Christ. This passage continues in
chapter two continuing the fact that God wants none to perish but for all to come to repentance and
acceptance of salvation.

Main Hermeneutical Strategies Used By Basil
One of the main hermeneutical strategies used by Basil in his work is confirm the oneness of the
triune God. While some of his heretical opponents insist that the triune Godhead is not fully unified,
Basil set the record straight by saying that according to the distinction of Persons, both are one and
one, and according to the community of Nature, one. Basil is not talking about two or three different
Gods, but of one single God, one that is not cloven in two, nor the glory divided, but instead of a God
that is triune in essence. The eternal generation of the Son, along with the eternal precession of the
Holy Spirit is essential to the doctrine of the triune God, and Basil asserts that taking any part of this
away from God is heresy. The Godhead can only rightly be described in its triune form, as Holy Spirit
is conjoined to the one Father through the one Son, and through Himself completing the adorable and
blessed Trinity.
One of Basil s greatest typological arguments is that the Holy Spirit is equal to the Father throughout
the canon of scripture. He asks the question, how can he who calls Scripture God inspired, because it
was written through the inspiration of the Spirit, use the language of one who insults and belittles
Him? That is to say, how can scripture that is inspired by the Holy Spirit still be the living, breathing
word of God? If people are to be called the temples of God with the Spirit of God within them, how
can this Holy Spirit be demoted to

Making predictions also help students to make connections about what is read and real life
experiences. This is a great comprehension strategy because if students are able to make fairly
accurate predictions while reading, he or she will be able to comprehend the story well. Remember
good readers makes predictions.
Step By Step 1. Show students the titles and picture of a book cover they have never read before and
ask them to make a prediction what the book is about.
2. Then read the back cover or inside flap of the book out loud to see how close they came to the
mark.
3. Read a section of text or show another picture and then have students predict what is going to
happen next.
4. Let students write their predictions on sentence strips or prediction card and place each prediction
on the wall. Revisit the predictions once the action has been revealed in the story.
Example
This is an example of a prediction card. Teacher ask the question, where is Pete going? Students look
at each picture and write their guess. The pictures serves as the clue.

Essay On Grit
We realized that the only persons we can trust in this world is each other and our families (Marion
Jones). The trait that I will be connecting to is grit. Grit means firmness of mind or spirit. It is a noun.
It can also mean unyielding courage in the face or hardship or danger. Some synonyms of the word
grit are backbone, fortitude, and constancy. An antonym of the word grit is spinelessness. Grit is an
important word because all the people in the pieces of literature had to be firm in their mind and spirit
to keep moving forward. They had to be able to want to keep going and not give up on what they
wanted. They had to get through the hard times by being grit to get to the good things. There are real

about it even though she figured out that her coach was lying to her. She ends up doing sometime in

Authors use nonfiction literature to influence their reader through grit by showing us the strength they
have in them and how they won t let anyone or anything come in between what they believe in. My
first piece of literature comes from the reading of The Clever Class. Malala is the main character of
this story. She stood up for the rights of girls. She always said that they weren t going to let the
Taliban win or take the girls rights away. She stated We were scared, but our fear was not as strong as
our courage. This connects to the trait grit because she had the mind that they could get through it.
That they had more courage than they did fear. That the people want to get through the Taliban. They
all had the spirit to get through it. There was a part that Malala ran into some Taliban and she wanted
to tell them out. She said to them If I am speaking for my rights, for the rights of girls, I am not doing
anything wrong. God wants to see how we behave in such situations. This connects to grit because
they had the mind that they weren t doing anything wrong and they weren t. They spoke out against
the Taliban to get the rights they wanted for girls.

What Is The Impact Of Community Gardens In Chicago
With over 100 neighborhoods and around three million people, Chicago is known for its diversity and

effort can create almost an immediate help in providing healthy and nutritional food to the community
as most food grown is free for those who help. A community based participatory research study shows
that vegetable intake of several times a day for adults increased from 18.2% to 84.8% and children s

  • 3. Essay about Rollercoasters Introduction: You wait in line for what seems like forever and finally you take your seat. You pull the paddle bars so they fit snug against your shoulders. You reach the top and then comes the big drop. You start screaming or if you re daring you put your hands up and enjoy the ride. I m of course speaking of roller coasters. Today I m going to go over the history, the different types of roller coasters, the mechanics, and the most important part, safety of roller coasters. History The oldest roller coaster is believed to have originated from the so called Russian Mountains , which were specially constructed hills of ice, located around Saint Petersburg. Built in the 15th century, the slides were built to a height between 70 and 80 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Perhaps the best known historical roller coaster, The Cyclone, was opened at Coney Island in 1927. The Great Depression marked the end of the first golden age of roller coasters, and amusement parks in general went into deterioration. In 1959 the Disneyland theme park introduced a new design breakthrough with the Matterhorn Bobsleds. This was the first roller coaster to use a tubular steel track. Unlike conventional rails set on wooden railroad ties, tubular steel can be bent in any direction, which allows designers to incorporate loops, corkscrews, and many other maneuvers into their designs. Most modern roller coasters are made of steel, although wooden coasters are still being built. New designs and technologies are pushing the limits of what can be experienced on the newest coasters. Mechanics: The cars on a typical roller coaster are not self powered. A standard full circuit coaster is pulled up with a chain or cable along the lift hill to the first peak of the coaster track. The potential energy accumulated by the rise in height is transferred to kinetic energy as the cars race down the first downward slope. Kinetic energy is then converted back into potential energy as the train moves up again to the second peak. This hill is necessarily lower, as some mechanical energy is lost to friction. Not all rides feature a lift hill, however. The train may be set into motion by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of A Man Runs Into A Woman A Man Runs into a Woman by Sarah Jane Barnett There s a lot going on in A Man Runs into a Woman, yet nothing happens as well. Sarah Jane Barnett explores the different means of telling an individual s story; a cross dressing father interacts with her daughter, a couple tries to connect with each other after the war, another couple leaves the worst unsaid, and two middle aged strike up an unlikely friendship. A series of stringed distinctive poems tries exploring the grim police reports of the death of Texas death row inmates and their heartfelt last words, before their ultimatum. The book is divided in three parts. The middle ones are the longest and is devoted to the last sentiments of death row prisoners, facing the ultimatum in America. The links that joins the poems in the second part is the description of the crimes, what the prisoners had done, which had landed them where they are in the current scenario. Sarah writes the poems, in a sense, she s announcing to the world of what she thinks a poem should look like. The Jeffery Levine (2011) website states that the poems, one writes while urging wittingly or unconsciously is an aesthetic, that should be the ones that belong in the book (para. 6). Sarah Jane Barnett s main concerns is with the movement of impact, in slow motion, and its aftermath, as reflected by the title. It is very introspecting in retrospect, the texts. • 6. Evaluation Of The Wildlife Photographer, Shooting... Technical specifications matter. They can also be confusing or overwhelming. Many of the previously discussed topics will help you know which technical specifications to research, as only some of them will be important to you and your photography goals. For the wildlife photographer, shooting tethered is a feature that may never be used. On the other hand, a portrait photographer or stock photographer may find tethered shooting invaluable. Other technical details will be determined by your personal preferences, such as which type of storage or batteries you want to invest in. These are considerations you can research in general before visiting your camera store, with specific pros and cons discussed with your salesperson as you discuss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Your photography goals will help determine which sensor size is required. If you have already decided that you are purchasing a medium format camera, this information is less important for you than for others since the medium format camera uses the medium format sensor. However, if you expect to purchase one of the other camera types, such as an SLR, DSLR, or a compact/mirrorless camera, you will want to learn more about the common sensor sizes. It s important to be aware that sensor size and sensor resolution are different, and that the resolution of the final image is related to both of these, plus other, specifications. The largest sensor size commonly used in the more common camera types is called the full frame sensor, which is most similar to 35mm film. The APS H, APS C, and Four Thirds sensors have smaller dimensions and are commonly called crop sensors. Note that for each of these dimensions, the sensitivity or number of pixels can vary, resulting in potentially different resolutions for that particular sensor size. Manufacturers are pushing the technical capabilities and hardware as much as possible, so be sure to read about their most recent releases if resolution is a priority for you. Very generally speaking, the larger sensor, the higher the potential resolution. If your goal is large sized, fine art prints, the larger the sensor you can reasonably purchase makes sense. • 7. Impact Of Executive Orders On Society Presidential Executive Orders and The Social Impact on American Society American Presidents are constrained in the power they can wield because of the separation of powers between the branches of government. Presidents use executive orders to compensate for their limited power. Presidents have also taken unilateral action to address the needs and concerns of important political constituencies before Congress is ready to act. (Gitterman 2017) Executive orders assume three forms: 1) self executing, orders that are dependent on government agencies implementing the order, 2) Altering institutional structures and processes, and 3) Symbolic arguing tools. (Mayer 2001) Presidents also gain more control through unilateralism and collection action because the president s order is also considered a command; when this command is given to the executive branch, it conforms to the president s will. (Rudalevige 2012) Presidents must remember that they can be noble, but when they apply their personal beliefs to executive orders, while ignoring public sentiment, executive opinions ... (Cooper 2001) Executive orders can also influence program funding, such as welfare and food assistance, healthcare, and social security under vague legislative instructions directing agencies to decrease funds to the programs. (Orentlicher 2017) Economic policies of the federal government are often influenced by executive orders that can cause an increase or decrease in federal revenue; a weak economy with higher taxes makes it harder for families in poverty to meet basic needs, but a strong long term economy provides increased revenue to the federal government, which could be used to fund more social programs and reduce the poverty rate. In line with this, it is also important for children to be given a definition for each of the tenses. For example: a past verb tense (simple) shows that the action had occurred in the past, or the time leading up to now; a present verb tense (simple) shows an action that is happening at that moment in time, or is reoccurring regularly; and a future verb tense (simple) shows an action that will happen in the future, and have not taken place yet. Second Letter To Corinthians 2 CORINTHIANS 8 AND 9: CHRISTIAN GIVING In chapters eight and nine of the second letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote principles and instructions in giving that a Christian should live by and recognize. In this paper, a few will be studied and analyzed through the account of Paul s involvement in the Jerusalem collection to get a better understanding of them, but most importantly to see how God wants Christians to apply these to their lives. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). A major example of giving begins with Paul and his account of the financial need that was obviously very great for the young New Testament church. The less time that ... James wrote What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus, also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead (James 2:15 17). Later in verse nineteen, James rebukes that even demons believe in the Lord. Nevertheless, a Christian proves his worth, proves His love for the Lord by doing His will, and His will is that Christians not only help each other, Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Managed care and its competition is being viewed to solve their issue on the struggle to control rising health care costs. Managed care can be defined a system of delivering health services in which care is delivered by a specified network of providers who agree to comply with the care approaches established through a case management process. Managed care has a one hundred years of history in the United States, and it gained national recognition around mid 1970s. The health maintenance organizations (HMOs) are managed care organizations. There are two categories of MCOs are, preferred provider organizations (PPOs) and point of service plans (POS). There are over half of Americans with health insurance are enrolled in managed care plans. Currently the debate in the United States is in regard to the quality of care provided by MCOs and traditional fee for service plans. Another major issue with managed care is the use of gag clauses in contracts amongst the MCOs and their providers. These clauses limit providers from being more informative to patients about the alternative treatments or the details of reimbursements for providers. The U.S. health care reform failed in 1994, and it caused a more focused turn to the marketplace to provide the stimulus for reducing costs. Captain Cook is most known for his extensive voyages of discovery for the British Navy, mapping much of the world s uncharted waters during that time. He circumnavigated the world twice during his lifetime, during which he logged descriptions of numerous plants and animals then unknown to most of mankind. Following Cook s explorations, a number of scientists began a closer study of marine life including Charles Darwin (1809 1882) who, although he is best known for the Theory of Evolution, contributed significantly to the early study of marine biology. His expeditions as the resident naturalist aboard the HMS Beagle from 1831 to 1836 were spent collecting and studying specimens from a number of marine organisms that were sent to the British Museum for cataloguing. His interest in geology gave rise to his study of coral reefs and their formation. His experience on the HMS Beagle helped Darwin formulate his theories of natural selection and evolution based on the similarities he found in species specimens and fossils he discovered in the same geographic region. The voyages of the HMS Beagle were followed by a 3 year voyage by the British ship HMS Challenger led by Sir Charles Wyville Thomson (1830 1882) to all the oceans of the world during which thousands of marine specimens were collected and analyzed. One such, is the mystery surrounding Ophelia s death. Harmonie Loberg, in the article, Queen Gertrude: Monarch, Mother, Murderer, argues that, Queen Gertrude is responsible for Ophelia s death (60). The Queen s description of Ophelia s death is controversial because it is so full of detail, that many believe it must be an eye witness account. Did the Queen kill Ophelia to try and protect Hamlet? The last scene seems to answer this question, as the Queen shares in the same fate that befalls all of the other murderers in the play. What may keep her from killing Ophelia at this point is the knowledge that the King has sent Hamlet to England, where she believes he is safe. The Queen knows Laertes is on his way home and if Hamlet were to return now, there would be trouble. When Laertes returns he incites a riot, seeking revenge for his father s murder, he goes after the King. When he finally gains admission to the King he is very angry and the Queen has to hold him back (4.5. ). Loberg says this is when the Queen switches from a woman who handles her problems through words, to a woman who starts to become physical to protect what she views as hers (66). • 17. Southwest Airlines Merger BASIC STRATEGY: In order to make up for increasing expenses Southwest needs to expand. My recommended strategy for Southwest to pursue, is to merge with Air Tran and expand into areas where Air Tran has a heavy presence and Southwest has none. With Southwest having a weak presence in the southeastern U.S., a key area to expand would be Atlanta s Hartsfield Jackson International, which is the busiest airport in the U.S. There is obviously a need for the low air fare company at this site. Southwest s unique approach of no extra charge for luggage and extra friendly service should help Southwest. The merger is estimated to cost Southwest $1.4 billion dollars; Air Trans income for 2010 was around $128 million, and along with the 138 new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Television commercials should be ran (especially around the Atlanta area) showing newly remodeled planes that once carried AirTran customers and show major improvements appealing to both vacationers and business travelers. Strong communication on how the AirTran frequent flyer miles will implemented by Southwest. This could be an area of major conflicts between Southwest and old loyal AirTran customers, but strong communication could easily prevent many conflicts. Shared Values: The unique culture and values of Southwest Airlines has been one of the key factors of Southwest s success over the years. Southwest s CEO feels that the employees of Southwest are the company s single greatest strength and most enduring long term competitive advantage. Getting AirTran s acquired employees to commit to the shared vision of the company will be another key implementation lever during the acquisition process. Southwest really values a fun and loving atmosphere among employees and passengers. The piano greatly filled the theater through her very big sound which blew away many of the pianists in attendance because the particular piano that she played on has a heavy action. Although heaviness can easily lead to harshness on the piano, Joyce Yang showed absolutely none of that at all and made her deep parts very emotionally heart wrenching instead which I really appreciated because it is not easy for some people to find that balance. The third movement was played in a very light and carefree manner that felt very refreshing because it gave the audience a break from the two previous fierce movements. The Breakup Of The Soviet Union In 1992, the breakup of the Soviet Union, nationalist struggles in the Balkans, the creation of a European community, the emergence of Japan as an economic giant from the 1970s into the 1990s, and the presence of American culture on a global scale all focused attention on the construction and continuity of national identities. Within Great Britain, the loss of empire and receding Protestantism precipitated the re emergence of Englishness, Scottishness, and Welshness. Historians of Britain began to ask what it meant to be British, on what foundations did a sense of British national identity rest, and when should [British] history begin? Linda Colley posits answers to these three questions in Britons: Forging the Nation 1707 1837. Britons came to define themselves (sometimes) as a single people, not because of any political or cultural consensus at home, but rather in reaction to the Other beyond their shores and Britishness was superimposed over an array of internal differences in response to contact with the Other, and above all in response to conflict with the Other. Thus, in Colley s formulation, Britain was an invention forged above all by war with Catholic France. War against the Other was the mechanism for Britishness, but Protestantism was the foundation that made the invention of Great Britain possible. • 32. Main Hermeneutical Strategies Used By Basil One of the main hermeneutical strategies used by Basil in his work is confirm the oneness of the triune God. While some of his heretical opponents insist that the triune Godhead is not fully unified, Basil set the record straight by saying that according to the distinction of Persons, both are one and one, and according to the community of Nature, one. Basil is not talking about two or three different Gods, but of one single God, one that is not cloven in two, nor the glory divided, but instead of a God that is triune in essence. The eternal generation of the Son, along with the eternal precession of the Holy Spirit is essential to the doctrine of the triune God, and Basil asserts that taking any part of this away from God is heresy. The Godhead can only rightly be described in its triune form, as Holy Spirit is conjoined to the one Father through the one Son, and through Himself completing the adorable and blessed Trinity. One of Basil s greatest typological arguments is that the Holy Spirit is equal to the Father throughout the canon of scripture. He asks the question, how can he who calls Scripture God inspired, because it was written through the inspiration of the Spirit, use the language of one who insults and belittles Him?
