The Five Disciplines By Peter Senge
Five Disciplines by Peter Senge are: 1.System thinking. 2.Personal mastery. 3.Mental models.
4.Shared vision. 5.Team learning. 1. System Thinking: System thinking is nothing but instead of
focusing on only one particular issue, we have to analyze and try to understand the entire system
on the whole. With this kind of analyzation, we can easily find a solution to the problem as the
problems are not confined to only a particular area or time. We might find a solution for a
particular issue, somewhere in the whole system by analyzing the entire system completely. We
should try to relate the actions and the consequences on the whole as the issues occur at different
time levels, not confined to only one particular time level. We have to have knowledge of the
relation between different departments of an organization and the relation between them and the
functionality between the departments as to how they are related in an organization. We generally
focus on only one particular issue rather than seeing the bug picture and that shouldn t be done. In
system thinking we analyze the big picture. 2. Personal Mastery: It is when a person has a clear
goal and can analyze the reality, when these both are combined then the person can achieve
Personal mastery. Seeing and telling the truth is the main and the first thing in personal mastery.
With personal mastery we can create rules and methods necessary to achieve the goal. As per
Senge, training and utilizing the powers of

Beard Trimmer Review Essay
When shopping for just the right beard trimmers for yourself or someone else, it is helpful to read
beard trimmer reviews. Just like buying any other product, there is so much to choose from, and
such a large range in pricing, it is wise to research for just the right product. Whether planning to
spend a small, or larger, amount of money, research helps you choose the product to fit your needs.
Reading beard trimmer reviews helps one learn, not only the perks of the product, but also see the
unnecessary items included that may not be needed. For instance, some beard trimmer sets include
guards, combs, and even a vial of clipper oil. Other sets may only include the trimmer itself. A
consumer may not want to pay the extra price for the added accessories if they are not needed.
There are different brand names that many people recognize, as well as many brand names most ...

If you have been shopping for quite some time, and your mind keeps taking you back to a specific
product, then that may be the one you are supposed to purchase. Reading beard trimmer reviews
may influence you away from what your natural instincts are telling you, and encourage you to
spend money on a different product you will regret buying later on. You and you alone know what
works best for yourself. Other consumers can only voice their own opinions, and then you must
form your own.
Although reading beard trimmer reviews may help you to decide on the perfect trimmer for
you, they are only a tool. The price range, accessory packages, and even the size of the trimmer,
can only be decided by the person who is going to use it. Ask yourself, Is it a trimmer I will be
using daily or only in between shaves? Also make a mental note of which trimmers are easy to
pack, for those individuals who may travel a lot. Beard trimmer reviews will help you answer these
important questions, among others you may

Physical Therapy for a Sprained Ankle
Treatment of a sprained ankle as a physical therapist
This essay is going to talk about the work, salary and educational requirements of physical
therapist. We re also going to talk about the ankle and its anatomy, the sprained ankle and how to
cure it. The main topic is going to be how a physical therapist is involved in the curing and
rehabilitating a sprained ankle.
My name is Jasper Kuester and I m a Physical Therapist, which are commonly known as
physiotherapists. The general work of Physical therapists consists of recognizing injuries, help
people to recover after fractures, sprains, strains etc. and educate the patient and his/her family
about the progress of recovery etc. In the progress of recovery you use techniques like stretching,
hands on therapy and exercises to improve the mobility and movement of the joints. To become
a Physical Therapist you already have to have a bachelor degree. Some colleges require
perquisites. Very common for that is anatomy, biology, physiology, physics and chemistry. You
will go to school for three years until you have your DTP, the Doctor of Physical Therapy
degree. During these three years you will take classes such as anatomy, biomechanics,
physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience. After finishing these three years you may apply for
a one year clinical residency program. This isn t necessary but it gives you an advantage when
you want to apply for a job because Physical Therapists who completed this year are more likely to

The Analytical Method Of Marx And Engels
Firestone uses the analytical method of Marx and Engels to create a theoretical frame which
includes issues of oppression based on sex. I found her distinction between what Marx and Engels
specifically say about women and the family model and her theory of a greater understanding of
how gender works dialectically and materially very helpful. I also connected with her assertion that
issues of genderseem to pervade every part of social life and that many women give up in
despair... because of how deep the issues go (Firestone 90). I think this statement is often true
because accepting that patriarchy exists in such a multifaceted way can be overwhelming and
disheartening. Moreover, I also appreciated the idea that [b]efore we can act to change a situation,
however, we must know how it has arisen and evolved, and through what institutions it now
operates (Firestone 90). This seems like an important way to bridge the gap between theory and
activism. I think it is important for activists to consider the assumptions they are working under
before they take action. Although I think a lack of action is a legitimate criticism of modern
feminism, we still need to know what we are fighting for.
I also found Firestone s point that ...so profound a change cannot be easily fit into traditional
categories of thought to be both profound and indicative of her own assumptions as a theorist
(Firestone 91). Just as Marx provided a limited but beautiful piece of theoretical work, so does

Causes Of The Chernobyl Nuclear Accident
The Chernobyl Nuclear Accident was a devastating nuclear accident. It happened April 26, 1996 at
the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The accident happened during a yearly test (Robinson). The
test that occurred had been done the year before and when fine, but when tested again, it went
amiss ( Chernobyl Accident: Sequence of Events, World Nuclear Association). There are many
causes for why the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident happened like a flawed system, human error, and
no plans if an emergency should happen. There are also many health effects of what happened after
the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident like mental instability, a higher chance for thyroid cancer, and
more cases of leukemia.
One of the main reasons that the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident happened was because the reactor
was flawed. Although every Nuclear Power Plant has flaws, Chernobyl had some pretty noticeable
ones. A big design flaw was the way the reactor was made. Another design flaw is the lack of
safety features. The last main design flaw is the flaws that could have been prevented.
When building the reactors at Chernobyl, it was decided to build an RBMK reactor (The
Chernobyl Gallery). An RBMK reactor is also known as a boiling water reactor (The Chernobyl
Gallery). The Soviets did not think that an RBMK reactor was capable of exploding (Read). An
RBMK reactor was at the time considered the cheaper and safer option although it did release
roughly 40 times the amount of radiation of a Pressurized Water Reactor

The Distributive Justice Theory Of John Rawls
Inequality and inefficiency are universal issues plaguing society that countless economists have
attempted to understand and address. Distinguished economists such as John Rawls, Amartya Sen,
Robert Nozick, and Milton Friedman have developed their own theories of to achieve distributive
justice, or a fair allocation of resources for all members of society. In Rawls justice as fairness and
Sen s capability theory, the economists come closest to achieving plans of distributive justice that
retain the output promoting effects of compensating differentials and recognizing the costs of Okun
s leaky bucket, but a plan that retains Rawls social contract and Sen s capability focus would come
closest to achieving justice. The distributive justice theory of John Rawlsconcerns justice as
fairness. In his theory, Rawls defines justice as demanding equality, unless inequality makes the
least advantaged person better off. Rawls proposes two major principles of justice: (1) that each
person should have the same equal right to basic liberties and (2) that social and economic
inequalities are attached to positions and offices open to all under equality of opportunity and are
to the benefit of the least advantaged group of society. This theory is determined by a social
contract that assumes there is a natural state on which people will agree based on moral equality. In
this social contract, all members wear a veil of ignorance through which they do not know anything
about their own

Ebola Virus Outbreak Of West Africa
Imagine being isolated from your friends and family, suffering from an illness that feels as though
something is burning through your body, while watching people around you dying of the same
illness and wondering when it will be your turn to proverbially kick the bucket . For many
survivors of the Ebola disease, this situation would be far too familiar. In March 2014, the Ebola
virus outbreak began in West Africa, mainly in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. According to a
recent figure from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been a
total of 28616 Ebola cases and 11310 deaths from Ebola in these three countries (2014). There
were many unpalatable symptoms of the disease, such as fever, headache, joint and muscle pain,
widespread bleeding, diarrhea and other physical symptoms leading to high mortality (Van
Bortel). If one is lucky enough to survive this virus, however, there are just as many negative
results of the virus as there were symptoms. Many West African survivors have to deal with their
new negative image, negative lasting health effects, or a decrease in financial stability due to their
inability to work or find work after they recover. Now that the West African Ebola epidemic is
over, (Liberia) there remains the task of assimilating the survivors back into their societies.
Moreover, the best solution to counteract the effects of the Ebola virus on survivors is to expand
upon the Ebola survivor support organizations already in place.

Daughter . The reader is introduced to a young man by the name, Giovanni Guasconti who is
from Naples, came to Padua to study medicine. Guasconti, rents a room which was grim in color

scientist Giacomo Rappaccini. Rappaccini had appeared in the garden, while studying the plants.
He had worn gloves to avoid eye contact. Rappaccini covers his mouth and nose with a mask, but

Schools Need 21st Century Materials And Resources
Schools need 21st century materials and resources to serve 21st century students. There needs to be
a change in ideology regarding the function of the library in todays society. For centuries, libraries
have remained essentially separate, even competing with one another to establish and maintain the
greatest collection, and now they need to recast themselves as platforms rather than storehouses.
(Palfrey, 2015) With the introduction of the internet and online information libraries need to
rebrand themselves. Libraries around the world can now share information with one another in real
time, and the competition for resources has ended. That said, there is still value in networking with
other agencies devoted to educationand information. John Palfrey, author of Biblio Tech suggests
that, Libraries must act as ambitiously networked institutions, connecting their network effectively
with partner intuitions: archives, historical societies, museums, and other cultural heritage
organizations. (2015) More agencies are partnering up to give their patrons access to the best and
most credible information.

Death Of An Hour By Kate Chopin
Death is a natural part of life, and, therefore, a common theme in many literary works. Kate
Chopin, the author of The Story of an Hour, explores the theme of death by unfolding the story of
a woman whose husband dies in a tragic accident. While the wife initially weeps with grief, her
emotions soon transform into feelings of secret delight over her new found freedom. In his story
The Monkey s Paw, W. W. Jacobs
addresses the theme of death in a much darker manner. A holy
man has placed a curse on a decaying monkey s paw. The White family, who gains possession of
this paw, has been granted three wishes, the first of which seemingly ends in the death of the son
Herbert, devastating his mother and father. While the characters in The Story of an Hour and The
Monkey s Paw cope with the deaths of their loved ones in very different ways, both Chopin and
Jacobs explore the theme of death through imagery and symbolism. In her work The Story of an
Hour, Chopin uses both imagery and symbolism to examine the effects of a spouse s death on the
loved one left behind. When Louise Mallard is faced with the untimely death of her husband
Brently Mallard, she sobs uncontrollably with sudden, wild abandonment, in her sister s arms
(par. 3). These emotion filled sounds of weeping are evidence of the widow s fierce grief. The
imagery continues as Chopin compares Louise s response to a violent storm, a storm of grief, (par.
3) to encourage the reader to visualize the heart

The Debate About The Gun Laws
In the present day, firearm violence has increased significantly in various parts in the USA.
Now, it is not new to our ear that there is a ton of cases with children and teenagers involving
gun shooting or being arrested in the crossfire. The debate about the gun laws has set, become
one of the most controversial topics in US society and failing to dead end. Increasing of lives
being affected by this killing machine , the concerns arise with the highest ever as how to prevent
the danger of gun while there are millions of them in the market places. It is a tragic to know that
someone is affected by guns almost everyday in news from either hometown or in another part of
the country. By the consequence of guns, they should be illegal in American society rather than
using self defense to protect people, not as weapons to take other s lives because of the increasing
of riskiness, lack of capability of smart guns and inefficient ideas of micromanagement.
First of all, legal guns in public could increase the violent and danger more than ever. It has been
said that freedom of using guns are a part of US liberty. However, many people misunderstand or
underestimate the harmful and dangerous by guns and they may become victims by hasty decision
and put themselves or even their family at risk. Gun violence has taken so many Americans lives
that this country is falling in crimes committed with guns. According to Judson Robinson from

The Effects Of Containerization On The Cities And Ports Of...
Containerization and the Effects on The Cities and Ports of San Francisco and Oakland
The effects of containerization are arguably as far reaching as they are underappreciated. When
considering technologies that changed the world, it is easy to quickly think of the internet and
computers easing the speed of communication across the world. Although not as glamorous, the
advent of the steel container is at the core of today s global economy, responsible for accelerating
the transfer of goods from place to place cheaply, efficiently and effectively. Containers are the
physical means of exploiting cheap labor around the world and the cornerstone invention of the
modern worldwide supply chain. The extent to which the container matters to the ... Show more

San Francisco primarily relied on the backbreaking manual labor of longshoremen to load and
unload ships that came through the port, a profession that had existed unchanged for hundreds of
years. Officials beliefs that containers were a passing fad, in combination with the lack of
investment and acreage required for the new technology, allowed the Port of San Francisco, and its
longshoremen, to fade into history, just as its neighbor, the Port of Oakland emerged as a
sophisticated leading container port. The migration of the maritime industry across the bay
dramatically altered and restructured the economies of both San Francisco and Oakland. Similarly,
their waterfronts were forever transformed.
After World War II, the US economy boomed, while the maritime industry did not. The merchant
fleet had been commandeered aby the government when the United States entered the war, and did
not return to private ownership until two years after it ended, in 1947. Coastline shipping stagnated
at prewar levels, while trucking grabbed the market share of domestic transportation. A cargoship
typically would spend as much time in port being loaded and unloaded as in transit, and was
therefore unreasonably expensive. Despite this, there was relatively little competition for larger
American ship lines since foreign lines were barred from coastal and island service. However
inefficient and costly,

Oklahoma Abortion Debate
Why the Oklahoma Abortion Bill is Unethical
Women, for centuries, have not been allowed to make decisions regarding their bodies. Finally,
when the end of the fight is within reach, steps backward are taken. Oklahoma recently passed a
bill requiring the father to approve an abortion procedure, the only time that the father s permission
is not required is in rape cases, and fetuses that have been diagnosed with down syndrome cannot be
aborted. When asked about the bill, Oklahoma Rep. Justin Humphrey stated:
I believe one of the breakdowns in our society is that we have excluded the man out of all of these
types of decisions, I understand that they feel like that is their body, I feel like it is a separate what

76% of the turnaways ended up on unemployment benefits, as opposed to the 44% of women who
had abortions. ( Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health , 2014) The same study found
that women unable to obtain abortions were more likely to stay in a relationship with an abusive
partner than women who had an abortion, and were more than twice as likely to become victims of
domestic violence (Annalee Newitz). Turning away women that cannot get their husbands or
boyfriends to give their approval for a safe abortion is unfair in every aspect.
A woman could do everything in her power to not get pregnant and still end up with a child, but
there are not many preventative matters on the guy s end. The Oklahoma Abortion Bill was put into
place because they wanted to bring men back into the decision making
Two committees were paying close attention to the study, and they realized that a lot of guys were
dropping out because they were experiencing side effects. The most common side effect was acne,
and sometimes that acne was pretty severe. Some men also developed mood swings and in some
cases those mood swings got pretty bad. One man developed severe depression, and another tried to
commit suicide. Because of that, they cut the study short (NPR

Bye Bye Birdie Analysis
The Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie premiered in 1960 and continues to enjoy popularity
among various audiences. Written and composed by Lee Adams and Charles Strouse, the
musical fictionalizes the real life induction of rock and roll idol Elvis Presley through the
character of Conrad Birdie into the United States Army. One important element of the musical s
plot is the excitement of a group of teenagers in a small Ohio town when they learn of the arrival of
a rock star and the prospect of one lucky girl getting a final good bye kiss. The version of Bye Bye
Birdiethat was reviewed for this analysis was an August 2017 stage production by Gulfport Little
Theatre. Like the original production of the musical, the Gulfport Little Theater production stayed
truthful to biographical details of Elvis s life and all actors were highly professional in their
representation of individual characters; however, unlike the original production, the set was
reduced to an absolute minimum which was clearly noticeable to the audience. Both productions
of the musical have identical plots and scene sequences. These may seem self explanatory;
however, it is noteworthy that directors often take artistic liberties in interpreting plays or
musicals, especially when they may appear dated to contemporary audiences. This, however, was
not the case in the 2017 production of Bye Bye Birdie because it stuck strictly to script; so much
so, that actors could have been exchanged across plays without any

Kennedy Flexible Response Essay
The most successful foreign policy was Flexible Response because it allowed for President John F.
Kennedy to deal with foreign issues with both military and nonmilitary options. Kennedy took the
position after Dwight D. Eisenhower with a narrow victory over Richard Nixon. Though the Soviet
Union was causing trouble at the time, Kennedy focused on Cuba. The foreign policy of Flexible
Response played a large role in dealing with the Soviet Unionand Cuba. Cuba had a rising
communist leader named Fidel Castro but as soon as Cuba became friends with the Soviet Union,
President Eisenhower broke ties with the country. To eliminate the threat of the rising leader,
President Eisenhower devised a plan. This event would later be called the Bay of Pigs... Show more

That s why Flexible Response worked because of the different alternatives the government had to
handle the situation. During the Cuban dilemma, the Soviet Union was planning to send nuclear
missiles to Cuba and from there, only ninety miles away, they would be aimed at the United States.
To prevent this Kennedy sent a blockade of ships to stop the missiles from entering Cuba. The
situation became known as the Cuban Missile Crisis and this impacted the people of the United
States. From home, they waited for six long days as the Soviets approached Cuba and the
blockade. The people lived as though this would be their last day because if anyone were to fire,
World War III would have broken out. This was similar to Brinkmanship because the country was
approaching the verge of war but again this was a military option President Kennedy used to stop
the missiles from reaching Cuba. Had Kennedy not send his blockade, the world would have been
on the verge of nuclear warfare. This blockade made Nikita Khrushchev, current leader of the
Soviet Union, turn around but the United States were forced to give up their weapons located in

The Village Of Nahum And Nahum s Town
The Village of Nahum or Nahum s Town . This is the meaning of the name and the root of the
name Capernaum. The name Capernaum is the English transliteration of the greek Kapernaoym
and Kapharnaoym which are in turn a corruption of the Aramaic name Kepar Nahum. The form
of Capernaum that is used in the Textus Receptus (the basis of our King James Bible) is
Kapernaoum. The Latin rendering is Caphernaum. In the Hebrew the name, Kefar Nahum, has
changed little from the original Aramaic. The name for the ruins at the accepted location for the
city of Capernaum is Tell Hum, Tell meaning mound of (Na) Hum. Thus, based on the meaning
alone even, we can see that the two names are linguistically compatible. The Arabic name for the
city is Talhum. The name of the city Capernaum never appears in the Old Testament. One, quite
likely reason for this is that the city of Capernaum was not formed until late in the second century
BC. The city s late formation is adequate explaination for the lack of mention in the Old
Testament It was called the village of Nahum because Nahum the prophet s tomb was shown there.
One reason that it is so difficult to find the city of Capernaum with one hundred percent accuracy
is that the Woes (Matthew 11:23, Luke 10:15) prophecied by Jesus came to pass with such
competence. So completely has it perished that the very site is still a matter of dispute today.
Almost nothing remains of the city of Capernaum and there are few

The Use Of Veterinary Antibiotics
The widely used growth promoters are Antibiotics. It can be defined as any medicines that destroy
or inhibit bacterial growth and are administered at a low sub therapeutic dosage (Hughes and
Heritage, 2004).
There are various types of veterinary antibiotics (VA) like natural, synthetic compounds with
different antimicrobial activity are normally administered orally (Phillips et al., 2004). These are
used for disease control or as feed additives and synthetic growth promoters (SGP) in various
sectors such as livestock farming, aquaculture and agricultural activities (Aust et al., 2008, Gao et

29% for diarrhoea in cattle and pigs and 31% for locomotion disorders in cattle. (De Briyne,

The use of antibiotics in food animal production offers proven benefits in animal health and
production, as well as a reduction of foodborne pathogens (Mathew et al., 2007).
A main concern for human health is the development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria that can
cause disease in humans. While misuse of antibiotics in human medicine is a major cause of this
problem, antibiotic resistance originating from the use of antimicrobial growth promoter in animals
is a factor that can aggravate this global human health issue (WHO FAO, 2015).
However, the over use, misuse or lack of control in administration of antibiotics results in a high
accumulation of antibiotics in the animal and its excretion to the environment. Harmful effects of
antimicrobial growth promoter in feedstuffs on animals may occur if the compound has a low
margin of safety in that species or if it adversely interacts with other medicines or microbial effects
(McEvoy 2002).

`` Catch 22, By Joseph Heller
Dispute has always surrounded the justification for wars, especially the debate of whether
soldiers lives are being lost for necessary causes. Unlike other war novels, Joseph Heller criticizes
the cruel bureaucracy within the military, influenced by his own experiences as a bombardier in
World War II. In Heller s satirical novel, Catch 22, he defines the infuriating, contradictory
processes the military uses to run its soldiers lives and control their fates through his use of satirical
dark humor, literary techniques, structure and various themes.
Satire is woven throughout the novel to expose the faults of American institutions within the
military, such as religion and war. Religion is depicted through the chaplain, who gradually... Show

The soldiers under the officers, except for Yossarian, do not see a problem with this either. With this
absurdity, Heller is able to shock readers with the horror of the situation and convert Yossarian s
revolutionary anger into sardonic comedy (Solomon). Heller also makes fun of capitalism
through Milo Minderbinder. Initially Yossarian s friend, Milo s corrupt nature eventually shines
through when he sacrifices his fellow soldier s lives for his own profits. Milo arranges for a
bombing of his own squadron for his benefit. Using Milo Minderbinder s character, Heller
condemns the unscrupulous expansion of commercial interests that exploit people for profit or
even reduce them to the status of commodities (Felty). Heller s satire is especially harsh when he
emphasizes that everything is forgiven after Milo reveals that the raid resulted in a huge profit.
Milo Minderbinder is the perfect symbol of capitalism and greed.
Symbolism plays a huge part in Catch 22. Milo s greed for profits represents the greediness of

The Legacy Of The Jim Crow Laws
The years leading up to the 1960 s were ones full of worldly and civil unrest. Wars raged, blood
spilled, and many lives were lost. However, these wars weren t always fought across continents
and countries. Some were fought internally, without involving assault rifles or trenches. The war
I m speaking did involve two sides, but not Axis and Union. This war dealt with racial
segregation and hatred among races . This movement sprouted all the way from the roots of
slavery and the oppression of those enslaved. Nearly a hundred years after the end of slavery a
clash between races was still very prevalent in the United States. Segregation was in full effect and
blacks everywhere were being treated beyond unfairly. Blacks and even some others,... Show more

However, this movement would not come without its fair share of violence and hatred. Plenty of
resistance came from whites who believed their race was superior. The NAACP (National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People) did the best they could in order to fight
against this racism, starting their anti lynching campaign in the 1930 s. While other organizations
attempted to start campaigns like this as well, the NAACP proved to be the most influential
organization during the civil rights movement (Janken, n.d.). Perhaps the most detrimental
organization towards this movement was one known as the Ku Klux Klan, also known as the KKK.
The KKK were, and still are huge advocates of white supremacy and fought against more than
just the blacks. They were/still are known to be hateful towards Jews, Catholics, immigrants, and
many more (History.com, 2009). The KKK was responsible for countless crimes during this era.
Blacks were lynched, houses were burned to the ground, and countless black families were torn
apart. The KKK spread across and occupied nearly every southern states in the United States in the
years before the Civil Rights Act of 1964. However, despite all of this adversity, many blacks
continued to protest and fight one way or another. This was the beginning of the monumental
protests led by two of the most important and influential figures of the civil rights

The Importance Of Selecting Presidential Candidates
Some Things You should Do before You Vot for President It is time to vote. Clara goes to her
local voting booth to do her duty as an American citizen. She shows the official her identification
and she walks into a booth. She looks at the ballot full of presidential candidates, and says to
herself anxiously, Who should I choose! Clara is one of 3.8 million, around 4.2 percent of the
voting population, voters who are undecide about whom to vote for. To prevent this from
happenning to you, you should thoroughly pick the candidate that best suits you before you vote.
Before you pick a candidate. you should find out if the candidates are telling the truth, What the
candidates did before their campaign, and you should know what political party best suits your

Party. If you are against same sex marriage, pro life and for decreasing taxes, you may lean more
toward the Repulican Party. You may even choose a Green Party, if you for more econimic and

Instructions Not Included Imagine, it is a sunny day and the light reflects off of the surrounding
sea and onto an ideal beach home. Nothing but beautiful people, sunshine, and good times. But
alas good times do not always last as next comes a blast from the past so powerful it is still felt 8
years into the future! If all those images have been conjured up in the viewer s mind, then you have
the basic plot to this foreign filmInstructions Not Included . But wait there is more I promise.
Firstly, I would like to say that overall the film by all standards was not at all bad. When one
thinks of a foreign film you might think of a really bad, poorly edited, or low funded film. With
the major reason for it being foreign, the obvious reason being that it was not made in
Hollywood. However, this movie takes all of the preconceptions about foreign films and turns it
upside down. With a budget of nearly 5 million dollars (Instructions), and only being filmed in
two locations in Mexico the movies overall quality is actually quite astounding. Furthermore, I
would like to commend the directors and editors on doing Hollywood level job, creating and
making the final product as it is better then something you might see in a low budget jaws knock
off made here in the United States. Secondly I would like to write something of a quick summary
so that the movie can be better understood. The movie begins as many do as of late with a man, or
to be more specific a bachelor. Of course

The Relationship Between Nissan And Mitsubishi
Description of the Situation
One of the most spoken and discussed issues in the business world has become establishing the
association between the Nissan and Mitsubishi car producers. After the scandal that occurred as the
Mitsubishi falsified its fuel economy tests, the cooperation with Nissan is like a lifeline to the
company. Nissan s decision to buy an influential share of Mitsubishi s assets is believed to bring
benefits to both participants of the process. While this deal would help the Mitsubishi corporation
to improve its image after the cheating scandal, Nissan also expects to increase its profits by using
the recognizability of Mitsubishi s brand in the eastern countries. Under the conditions of growing
global competition in the automobile industry, the alliance between the large Japanese and
European car producers is supposed to radically strengthen the positions of both companies on the
market.
However, the formation of this alliance would not involve the complete merger of the companies.
Nissan shared information regarding taking a 34% stake in Mitsubishi Motors , which would allow
Nissan to gain de facto control over the processes within Mitsubishi ( Nissan Is Buying ). With one
third of the assets, Nissan would become Mitsubishi s main investor. The Nissan company has an

Types Of Exorcism
Types of Exorcism
Prayer is a powerful tool in the battle against evil and is also a powerful tool in exorcism. When
we think about exorcisms, the first type of demonic activity that likely comes to mind is
demonic possession. Possession is the rarest form of spiritual activity but comes to mind of most
people around the world when we talk about exorcisms. Hollywood has capitalized on this type
of demonic activity and has created hundreds of movie titles based on this type of activity alone.
However, the most common exorcisms are not at all like one would witness on the big screen. In
fact, most Christians have probably said a form of minor exorcism prayer since the Our Father is
considered to be one. There are three main forms of exorcism that is practiced within the Anglican
Church: exorcism of objects, places and people.
Objects Almost any object, other than a holy one, can be infested.
Places Some examples of the cause of unwanted activity within a place, according to the Exorcism:
The Findings of a Commission Convened by the Bishop of Exeter, include souls of the departed,
human sin, place memories, poltergeist and demonic interference.
People If a person requires an exorcism, the most important thing to keep in mind is the safety of
the person affected and the safety of those around. A thorough psychological examination should
always be conducted first to rule out any natural underlying causes for the symptoms present. If it

it has served as a major source of my exposure towards architecture and urbanism, alongside shaping
my perception and critique of urbanity, it has also engendered in me a curiosity towards the other ,

I took advantage of the opportunities provided during my undergraduate career to appraise the
present performance of the city against the conceived, modernist planning ideals. In an assignment
for the urban design class, I investigated the image of the city as perceived by the largely illiterate
rickshaw pullers, which navigate through it on a daily basis. It helped me to learn how the
vocabulary of nodes and landmarks synonymous with traditional towns, still continues to be used
by them. I illustrated this by drawing sector maps using Lynch s taxonomy of urban elements. For
a national competition to design a people s mall, I looked into the supply chains and networks
across the city, which transform sliver spaces within its formal fabric, appropriated by informal
vendors and hawkers. Each sector, devised as homogeneous, self sufficient neighborhood units, now
specializes in various resources leading to a differential development of the uniform grid layout.
In my final thesis project, I researched on Chandigarh s gridlocked, urbanized villages which
emerged as by products of the rational planning, juxtaposing contrasting forms of urbanism. A
British filmmaker once dubbed them as subaltern subversions of the grid, whereas a nuanced
investigation revealed how the existing form and pattern critiques the extended family
neighborhoods of the pre existing agrarian settlement. In my

Essay on The Affect of Child Labor on the World
The Affect of Child Labor on the World
Introduction
Child labor is a very hot topic in today s world. The problems associated with child labor have
always been a part of life but thanks to Globalization, everyone is now more aware of the child
labor issues that exist. Whether an individual is in favor or against child labor the fact is that child
labor affects everyone, because child labor affects the global economy. Children who work play a
big role in the economy because they produce goods and are paid wages just like adults; they are an
active participant of the work force.

Children in the work force are not necessarily a bad thing. Some children by free want and like
to work, but the potential for exploitation and violation of civil rights can be very high in the
some work places. As mentioned earlier children in many cases work to help their family and
the experience can be a very pleasant one. This all depends on many things such as the age of
the child, the hours worked, the conditions, and the ability to still attend school. On the other
hand many children are forced into work. With bonded labor a family in need of money would
be given advanced payment and then turn over a child to work for the employer to repay this
debit. Most of the time it is nearly impossible for the child to pay off this debit because the
interest that is deducted forms the child s earnings is very large. There are also other forms of
slavery that children must endure such as being denied the right to leave the workplace or being
confined and beaten by the employer. Other adverse conditions that some children face are working
extremely long hours and handling dangerous materials such as chemicals, pesticides. These
conditions are usually seen by children who work in mines and agriculture. Some of the after
affects that children who work in these kinds of conditions face could

The main disadvantage of the MAP packaging is that the presence of excess oxygen induces the
lipid oxidation that results in the rancidity of the meat generating the undesirable off odours

Example Of A Psychological Test
Have you ever taken a psychological test? Psychological tests are used to measure one s attributes.
According to the article, How is a Psychological Assessment Used, psychological testing is done to
help a psychologist, better understand an individual and provide valuable insights into the
individual s behavior, skills, thoughts and personality. An example of a psychological test is, the
Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) which evaluates thoughts, attitudes, and responses to
questionable test materials. The TAT and its pictures evolved during the 1930s and early 1940s.
The pictures used were in a constant state of flux with additions, deletions, and modifications
(Morgan, W. G. 2002). The Thematic Apperception Test is an individual assessment, known as the
picture interpretation technique. Whereas, the test taker is shown pictures and asked to tell a story
about the pictures. The pictures used for this psychological test include cards which are, blank,
male figures, female, ambiguous gender, and children. Most practitioners choose a set of
approximately ten cards, either using cards that they feel are generally useful, or that they believe
will encourage the subject s expression of emotional conflicts relevant to their specific history and
situation (Cramer, P. 2004). The assessment for TAT can be used to; reveal motivations, and

Feedback Is Essential For Effective Teaching Essay
COMMIINICATION FEEDBACK
To be sure that the message (knowledge of the subject) has reached the students (the receiver) with
the same meaning, purpose and intention as was desired, the teacher has to get some
acknowledgement from the students. Feedback is the process that ensures this. This can take the
form of a mod, an acknowledgement, or doing something as expected by the students. Feedback
provides a learning opportunity to the teacher and the students both as it mirrors where the
communication has gaps or inadequacies indicating the corrective action to be taken. In case of
classroom teaching such feedback is essential for effective teaching. On the other hand if students
act in conformity with the communicated items, they also need to know this from the teacher.
This kind of feedback loop is the most essential principle of effective teaching. Positive and
negative both kinds of feedback are necessary. They should, however be focused on specific action
rather than on the individual student. Comments related to behavior are accepted more easily than
those relating to an individual personality, attitudes, feelings etc. But it is necessary to tell the
students where they are wrong. If they are not told this, the wrongs may perpetuate. Feedback,
which is provided Here and Now is more meaningful than the delayed one. It is more effective to
provide a feedback as a way of sharing information rather than insisting on the right way of doing
things. For that reason the teacher

Arguments and Implications for Turkey s Accession to the EU The possible accession of Turkey to

nationalistic considerations, the question of whether Turkey will ultimately be accepted as an EU

At the Copenhagen summit in December 2002, the EU outlined the political and economic
conditions that Ankara would have to satisfy before formal accession talks could begin. The so

institutions that guarantee democracy, the rule of law, and human rights (Phillips). With the
2002 election of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), a pro European party with Islamist
roots, a number of reforms led to increased political and economic stability. Recep Tayyip
Erdogan, who became Turkey s Prime Minister in March 2003, made it a priority to prepare
Turkey for eventual EU membership, and passed several constitutional and judicial reforms to
that end. (Solana 12). As Turkey s political reforms continued, the EU leaders agreed on
December 16, 2004 to start accession negotiations with Turkey beginning in October 2005.
Despite an attempt by the Austrian government to offer Turkey less than full membership, EU
accession negotiations were officially launched, and Turkey has closed its first chapter in
negotiations in June 2006 ( History , pars. 8 9). In spite of this, Turkey encountered several
roadblocks along the way. Specifically, these included strained relations with the Kurds in northern
Iraq and separatist PKK guerillas who resumed fighting following a ceasefire (Zakaria 45). Another
major challenge that Turkey faced was Cyprus. Javier

Universal Healthcare

Abstract
People today consider America one of the world s greatest countries. Many Americans enjoy a high
standard of living compared to many other parts of the world. Yet somehow the health care system
in America ranks number 37 in the world. (The World Health Organization s ranking of the world s
health system) Although the United States is known to be one of the most advanced countries in the
entire world, they spend more money on healthcare than any other country. (Zablit) America does
not have universal healthcare coverage. Ultimately, lives are being lost due to proper and
affordable healthcare being out of reach for some citizens.
Without universal healthcare coverage each American is responsible for obtaining their own health
insurance. This can be done through their employer or private insurance companies and the person
is responsible for the monthly premium as well as a deductible, co pay, or other portion of the
healthcare service. The insurance company covers the remaining costs. (Q A: US healthcare reform)

Given that the crash was ruled a terrorist attack, identification of all substances found on and in the

percent composition of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen, and then used to find the empirical

molecular formula was found to be C21H22N2O2, or strychnine, commonly known as rat

Who Was The Vatican Dbq Essay
On a sunny day in The Vatican, one of the most beloved popes died. Twelve cardinals were to vote

one side of the debate are those who argue that the data from genetic screenings can be used to
benefit public health through the development and improvement of treatments and public health
policy (Hodge, 2004). However, a prominent opposing side to this debate has focused on the
potential for social and even ethnic quarantine if the results of screenings are made public (Atkin,
2003). Though there is a consensus that genetic screening is beneficial in preventing and treating
diseases and poor health, many worry that releasing their results can lead to social stigma for
individuals of certain minorities simply because of their greater susceptibility to certain health
problems (Natowicz and Alper, 1991). Ethnic discrimination has indeed proved to be a legitimate
issue in regards to genetic screenings; for example, in the 1990s several states did not allow African
American individuals to wed until they proved that they did not have sickle cell anemia. Opponents
of publicly mandated genetic screenings fear discrimination against some ethnicities due to their

Shakespeare s A Streetcar Named Desire
Masquerades and Sexuality in A Streetcar Named Desire Masks conceal the truth from the
people who look at them. They use color, designs, and frills to hide the flaws beneath. In
literature, stage, and film, we see characters wearing masks all the time, just not always in a
literal sense. The most complex and intriguing characters wear these kinds of masks, to hide
their own flaws and scars from the outside world. In A Streetcar Named Desire, almost every
character has a mask they wear, to conceal the truth from the people around them. One of the
easier masks to see is Blanche s, as she struggles with her past and present. She hides her past
from everyone to maintain her southern belle persona. However, as the play progresses, her
mask begins to crack initially with the young man she kisses before her date with Mitch, and
shatters completely once she is raped by Stanley. Her mask seems to be created with an aura of
sexuality, and is broken once it s used against her. What s notable is that William s sister was
suffering from schizophrenia prior to writing Streetcar. When she was forced to have a
lobotomy, it affected Williams, and has played a role in many of his shows. Blanche s
dependence is a part of her mask as well, as it drives a lot of her character. In her own words; I
have always depended on the kindness of strangers. It s the reason she initially comes to Stella and
Stanley, and it seems her main goal throughout her time with them is to find a

An Excerpt From The Woods Hunter s Woods Runner
The story Woods Runner is about a 13 year old suffering from a savage attack that has got his
parents taken away by British soldiers and Iroquois. He discovers unexpected allies and people
that help him out on his journey, such as Coop. In this article I will explaining how Coop helped
Samuel on his journey and some other people that helped him as well. I will also be explaining
the Human conditions of the attacks. John Cooper (Coop) helped Samuel in many ways. The
main way Coop helped Samuel was by saving his life from the tomahawk that got smashed into
his forehead. On pg. 62 Coop explains how him and Carl, his brother, let Samuel lay with them for
four days then they took Samuel with him by pulling Samuel on the back of one of the oxens

Radioactive Elements Lab Report
In this report will be show my knowledge about radioactive.
Radioactive elements have unstable nuclei. There unstable nuclei give off radiation when the
nuclei start to break down(decay). The 3 types of radiation are Alpha, Beta and Gamma. An
Alpha particle (О±) is a helium nucleus that is a combination of two protons and two neutrons.
This type of radiation is found in heavy elements. The charge of Alpha is positive 2. The mass is
4 atoms. Alpha particle can be stopped by thin paper. The ionizing power for this particle is strong
because the charge is positive 2. A Beta particle (ОІ) is a fast moving electron comes from when an
unstable neutron breaks down and turns into a proton with an atomic mass of 1/1800, Beta has a 1
charge. Beta also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Radiation dosage badges have a series of different screens covering the sensitive photographic
plate to see how much radiation they are exposed to and to stop the Beta particles. Plus they are
use to tell if you have had too much radiation and to warn other people not to go to the same area
or else they will have to much radiation and die. It is impossible to be totally safe from ionizing
radiation because we are exposed to background radiation everyday.
Background Radiation is a low level radiation. There is always background radiation around us,
either from the environment such as rocks(granite), soils, plants and space(cosmic radiation)plus
flying high in planes as there is athiner atmosphere so less absorption, greater radiation and caused
by man made sources of radiation that comes from nuclear power plants, nuclear weapons, nuclear
wastes and x rays.
In a nucleus of an atom consists of protons and neutrons. Number of protons=Number of electrons

The Evolution Of Leadership And Organizational Impact
Leadership History: The Evolution of Leadership and Organizational Impact
Keywords: Leader, leadership, organizational impact, organizational performance
Introduction
The common denominator, according to Stone and Patterson (2005), shared by biblical patriots,
Greek heroes Egyptian rulers is leadership; regardless of its influence, their lessons and philosophies
continue to contribute to leadership today. This paper will present the definition of leadership that
provides a framework for exploring leadership theories in this paper, and the subsequent impact on
individual and organizational performance, while providing recommendations for future
exploration of global expansion.
Leadership Definition Leadership is comprised of three components: (1) a bi directional process
during which a transaction occurs between the leader and the follower; (2) influence, the affect
the leader has on followers; and (3) it occurs in groups of individuals focused on achieving a
common objective or task (Northouse, 2013; Lussier Achua, 2013). Therefore, a concise definition
of leadership according to Northouse is, a process whereby an individual influences a group of
individuals to achieve a common goal (Northouse, 2013, p. 5). The differentiation between
leadership and management is the former establishes direction, aligns people, provides motivation
and inspiration (Northouse, 2013). Influence, when coupled with power provides a moving force.

Compare And Contrast Hemingway And Faulkner s Writing Style
Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner were two of the most influential writers of the twentieth
century. While they lived during the same period, their writing styles differed drastically. This can
be seen in texts such as Hemingway s Hills Like White Elephants and A Clean, Well Lighted Place,
and Faulkner s Barn Burning . Hemingway s style puts little focus on specific characterdetails,
which makes his stories seem like they could be about any person, including the reader, while
Faulkner s style puts a lot of focus on specific character details, which makes every detail and every
character seem important to the reader. Both authors have styles indirect to their points, which
forces the readers to figure out information on their own and leaves the purposes of texts more open
to interpretation.
The writing styles of Hemingway and Faulkner differ in numerous ways, the most prominent of
which being their narrative focus. With Hemingway writing short, simple sentences, there was
little discussion of the specific traits of each of characters in his stories. In both Hills Like White
Elephants and A Clean, Well Lighted Place, the main characters are almost all unnamed. They
lack specific ages, races, or nationalities. The only details included about the characters are those
that are directly involved with the plot, such as in A Clean, Well Lighted Place, where the waiters
are labeled as being young and old . By not having any certain traits tied to the main characters,
Hemingway allows for those characters to be anyone. When the reader reads about a situation
happening to a person, they have an easier time empathizing with them because the character can
be more like them. This also allows for characters to represent concepts the reader can understand,
either by living them out on a daily basis or seeing them lived out through other people. Unlike
Hemingway s few details about characters, Faulkner goes into depth about all the characters in his
stories, including his short story Barn Burning . At one point, the main character said this when
describing his father, There was something about his wolflike independence and even courage when
the advantage was at least neutral which impressed strangers, as

How society is observed as it transmits to air travel has a great deal to do with September 11,
2001. As a result of this tragic event, the judgments of the world have become increasingly
profound to the background of passengers traveling on planes. It has shaped something of a
undesirable perception for particular cultures and beliefs. This discourages people to travel with
other passengers or airline, directly affects the airline industry (Reilly.N.J, 2010) 2.4 Technological
Technological developments have both created new opportunities as well as threats for the aviation
industry. Development in information and communication technologies has enabled strong
communication and has consequently provided customers with an alternative for frequent
travelling, for example; Qantas Frequent Flyer programs. Airlines are now able to expand their
outreach directly to consumers through e commerce. For example, airlines like Qantas are able to
introduce ticketless travel through the use of technology (Thompson and Gamble, 2012). 2.5 Legal
The implementation of the carbon tax had a negative affect on the aviation industry, as the airlines
could not absorb the higher cost of fuel. This meant to offset costs travelers would pay extra in
ticket prices (Herald, 2011). Some governments provide subsidies that provide an unfair advantage
and prices lower than market conditions which affects the functioning of airline industries directly

The Importance Of A Secure Mother Child Relationship
I strongly believe that a secure mother child relationship is highly important in the later
development of a person. The influence that a mother has on her child can later lead to important
aspects needed for life; these may include behavioural/social skills, cognitive abilities, emotion and
even on the personality of the child. Not only can a good relationship help nurture these positive
characteristics but also prevent later difficulties in life such as trauma. There are two types of
attachment that can be categorised as secure attachment and insecure attachment. Within insecure
attachment there are three main sub categories which I will talk about later. Recent research has
shown that new born babies have a far more superior ability to understand their environment than
was previously believed. In the child s environment he or she will be in contact with many
individuals, however, it has been shown that the mother child relationship is the most influential. A
quote from Shonkoff and Phillips, early development entails the gradual transition from extreme
dependence on others to manage the world for us to acquiring the competencies needed to manage
the world for oneself Early relationships and experiences is highly important in the brains physical
development. The brains plasticity is at its highest in the first few years in the life of an individual.
It is believed that nature and nurture are very interactive in producing an individual s perception of
the world. Early

Childern And Children Should Be Banned
Should advertisements towards childern and teens be banned in the United States? Yes it should,
most toy companies and fast food restaurants advertise on television, where the the audience is
mostly young childern and teens. Which has taken advantage of the viewers and making them over
spend their money for unimportant things that advertisers put on television. we need to teach our
childern the affect advertisinghas on us.. Childern don t understand what money is and rely on
parents to pay for them. When a commercial comes on advertising a special toy or something
they ll eat. They will beg for their parents to buy that toy or food item. For example a parent takes
their child to the grocery store and a child sees a toy or food product

  • 2. The Five Disciplines By Peter Senge Five Disciplines by Peter Senge are: 1.System thinking. 2.Personal mastery. 3.Mental models. 4.Shared vision. 5.Team learning. 1. System Thinking: System thinking is nothing but instead of focusing on only one particular issue, we have to analyze and try to understand the entire system on the whole. With this kind of analyzation, we can easily find a solution to the problem as the problems are not confined to only a particular area or time. We might find a solution for a particular issue, somewhere in the whole system by analyzing the entire system completely. We should try to relate the actions and the consequences on the whole as the issues occur at different time levels, not confined to only one particular time level. We have to have knowledge of the relation between different departments of an organization and the relation between them and the functionality between the departments as to how they are related in an organization. We generally focus on only one particular issue rather than seeing the bug picture and that shouldn t be done. In system thinking we analyze the big picture. 2. Personal Mastery: It is when a person has a clear goal and can analyze the reality, when these both are combined then the person can achieve Personal mastery. Seeing and telling the truth is the main and the first thing in personal mastery. With personal mastery we can create rules and methods necessary to achieve the goal. As per Senge, training and utilizing the powers of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Beard Trimmer Review Essay When shopping for just the right beard trimmers for yourself or someone else, it is helpful to read beard trimmer reviews. Just like buying any other product, there is so much to choose from, and such a large range in pricing, it is wise to research for just the right product. Whether planning to spend a small, or larger, amount of money, research helps you choose the product to fit your needs. Reading beard trimmer reviews helps one learn, not only the perks of the product, but also see the unnecessary items included that may not be needed. For instance, some beard trimmer sets include guards, combs, and even a vial of clipper oil. Other sets may only include the trimmer itself. A consumer may not want to pay the extra price for the added accessories if they are not needed. There are different brand names that many people recognize, as well as many brand names most ... • 4. Physical Therapy for a Sprained Ankle Treatment of a sprained ankle as a physical therapist This essay is going to talk about the work, salary and educational requirements of physical therapist. We re also going to talk about the ankle and its anatomy, the sprained ankle and how to cure it. The main topic is going to be how a physical therapist is involved in the curing and rehabilitating a sprained ankle. My name is Jasper Kuester and I m a Physical Therapist, which are commonly known as physiotherapists. The general work of Physical therapists consists of recognizing injuries, help people to recover after fractures, sprains, strains etc. and educate the patient and his/her family about the progress of recovery etc. In the progress of recovery you use techniques like stretching, hands on therapy and exercises to improve the mobility and movement of the joints. To become a Physical Therapist you already have to have a bachelor degree. Some colleges require perquisites. Very common for that is anatomy, biology, physiology, physics and chemistry. • 5. The Analytical Method Of Marx And Engels Firestone uses the analytical method of Marx and Engels to create a theoretical frame which includes issues of oppression based on sex. I found her distinction between what Marx and Engels specifically say about women and the family model and her theory of a greater understanding of how gender works dialectically and materially very helpful. I also connected with her assertion that issues of genderseem to pervade every part of social life and that many women give up in despair... because of how deep the issues go (Firestone 90). I think this statement is often true because accepting that patriarchy exists in such a multifaceted way can be overwhelming and disheartening. Moreover, I also appreciated the idea that [b]efore we can act to change a situation, however, we must know how it has arisen and evolved, and through what institutions it now operates (Firestone 90). This seems like an important way to bridge the gap between theory and activism. I think it is important for activists to consider the assumptions they are working under before they take action. Although I think a lack of action is a legitimate criticism of modern feminism, we still need to know what we are fighting for. I also found Firestone s point that ...so profound a change cannot be easily fit into traditional categories of thought to be both profound and indicative of her own assumptions as a theorist (Firestone 91). Just as Marx provided a limited but beautiful piece of theoretical work, so does ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Causes Of The Chernobyl Nuclear Accident The Chernobyl Nuclear Accident was a devastating nuclear accident. It happened April 26, 1996 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The accident happened during a yearly test (Robinson). The test that occurred had been done the year before and when fine, but when tested again, it went amiss ( Chernobyl Accident: Sequence of Events, World Nuclear Association). There are many causes for why the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident happened like a flawed system, human error, and no plans if an emergency should happen. There are also many health effects of what happened after the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident like mental instability, a higher chance for thyroid cancer, and more cases of leukemia. One of the main reasons that the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident happened was because the reactor was flawed. Although every Nuclear Power Plant has flaws, Chernobyl had some pretty noticeable ones. A big design flaw was the way the reactor was made. Another design flaw is the lack of safety features. The last main design flaw is the flaws that could have been prevented. When building the reactors at Chernobyl, it was decided to build an RBMK reactor (The Chernobyl Gallery). An RBMK reactor is also known as a boiling water reactor (The Chernobyl Gallery). The Soviets did not think that an RBMK reactor was capable of exploding (Read). An RBMK reactor was at the time considered the cheaper and safer option although it did release roughly 40 times the amount of radiation of a Pressurized Water Reactor ... • 7. The Distributive Justice Theory Of John Rawls Inequality and inefficiency are universal issues plaguing society that countless economists have attempted to understand and address. Distinguished economists such as John Rawls, Amartya Sen, Robert Nozick, and Milton Friedman have developed their own theories of to achieve distributive justice, or a fair allocation of resources for all members of society. In Rawls justice as fairness and Sen s capability theory, the economists come closest to achieving plans of distributive justice that retain the output promoting effects of compensating differentials and recognizing the costs of Okun s leaky bucket, but a plan that retains Rawls social contract and Sen s capability focus would come closest to achieving justice. The distributive justice theory of John Rawlsconcerns justice as fairness. In his theory, Rawls defines justice as demanding equality, unless inequality makes the least advantaged person better off. Rawls proposes two major principles of justice: (1) that each person should have the same equal right to basic liberties and (2) that social and economic inequalities are attached to positions and offices open to all under equality of opportunity and are to the benefit of the least advantaged group of society. This theory is determined by a social contract that assumes there is a natural state on which people will agree based on moral equality. In this social contract, all members wear a veil of ignorance through which they do not know anything about their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Ebola Virus Outbreak Of West Africa Imagine being isolated from your friends and family, suffering from an illness that feels as though something is burning through your body, while watching people around you dying of the same illness and wondering when it will be your turn to proverbially kick the bucket . For many survivors of the Ebola disease, this situation would be far too familiar. In March 2014, the Ebola virus outbreak began in West Africa, mainly in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. According to a recent figure from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been a total of 28616 Ebola cases and 11310 deaths from Ebola in these three countries (2014). There were many unpalatable symptoms of the disease, such as fever, headache, joint and muscle pain, widespread bleeding, diarrhea and other physical symptoms leading to high mortality (Van Bortel). If one is lucky enough to survive this virus, however, there are just as many negative results of the virus as there were symptoms. Many West African survivors have to deal with their new negative image, negative lasting health effects, or a decrease in financial stability due to their inability to work or find work after they recover. Now that the West African Ebola epidemic is over, (Liberia) there remains the task of assimilating the survivors back into their societies. Moreover, the best solution to counteract the effects of the Ebola virus on survivors is to expand upon the Ebola survivor support organizations already in place. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Schools Need 21st Century Materials And Resources Schools need 21st century materials and resources to serve 21st century students. There needs to be a change in ideology regarding the function of the library in todays society. For centuries, libraries have remained essentially separate, even competing with one another to establish and maintain the greatest collection, and now they need to recast themselves as platforms rather than storehouses. (Palfrey, 2015) With the introduction of the internet and online information libraries need to rebrand themselves. Libraries around the world can now share information with one another in real time, and the competition for resources has ended. That said, there is still value in networking with other agencies devoted to educationand information. John Palfrey, author of Biblio Tech suggests that, Libraries must act as ambitiously networked institutions, connecting their network effectively with partner intuitions: archives, historical societies, museums, and other cultural heritage organizations. (2015) More agencies are partnering up to give their patrons access to the best and most credible information.

  • 11. Death Of An Hour By Kate Chopin Death is a natural part of life, and, therefore, a common theme in many literary works. Kate Chopin, the author of The Story of an Hour, explores the theme of death by unfolding the story of a woman whose husband dies in a tragic accident. While the wife initially weeps with grief, her emotions soon transform into feelings of secret delight over her new found freedom. In his story The Monkey s Paw, W. W. Jacobs addresses the theme of death in a much darker manner. A holy man has placed a curse on a decaying monkey s paw. The White family, who gains possession of this paw, has been granted three wishes, the first of which seemingly ends in the death of the son Herbert, devastating his mother and father. While the characters in The Story of an Hour and The Monkey s Paw cope with the deaths of their loved ones in very different ways, both Chopin and Jacobs explore the theme of death through imagery and symbolism. In her work The Story of an Hour, Chopin uses both imagery and symbolism to examine the effects of a spouse s death on the loved one left behind. When Louise Mallard is faced with the untimely death of her husband Brently Mallard, she sobs uncontrollably with sudden, wild abandonment, in her sister s arms (par. 3). These emotion filled sounds of weeping are evidence of the widow s fierce grief. The imagery continues as Chopin compares Louise s response to a violent storm, a storm of grief, (par. 3) to encourage the reader to visualize the heart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although not as glamorous, the advent of the steel container is at the core of today s global economy, responsible for accelerating the transfer of goods from place to place cheaply, efficiently and effectively. San Francisco primarily relied on the backbreaking manual labor of longshoremen to load and unload ships that came through the port, a profession that had existed unchanged for hundreds of years. Officials beliefs that containers were a passing fad, in combination with the lack of investment and acreage required for the new technology, allowed the Port of San Francisco, and its longshoremen, to fade into history, just as its neighbor, the Port of Oakland emerged as a sophisticated leading container port. The migration of the maritime industry across the bay dramatically altered and restructured the economies of both San Francisco and Oakland. Similarly, their waterfronts were forever transformed. After World War II, the US economy boomed, while the maritime industry did not. The merchant fleet had been commandeered aby the government when the United States entered the war, and did not return to private ownership until two years after it ended, in 1947. Coastline shipping stagnated at prewar levels, while trucking grabbed the market share of domestic transportation. A cargoship typically would spend as much time in port being loaded and unloaded as in transit, and was therefore unreasonably expensive. • 16. Bye Bye Birdie Analysis The Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie premiered in 1960 and continues to enjoy popularity among various audiences. Written and composed by Lee Adams and Charles Strouse, the musical fictionalizes the real life induction of rock and roll idol Elvis Presley through the character of Conrad Birdie into the United States Army. One important element of the musical s plot is the excitement of a group of teenagers in a small Ohio town when they learn of the arrival of a rock star and the prospect of one lucky girl getting a final good bye kiss. The version of Bye Bye Birdiethat was reviewed for this analysis was an August 2017 stage production by Gulfport Little Theatre. Like the original production of the musical, the Gulfport Little Theater production stayed truthful to biographical details of Elvis s life and all actors were highly professional in their representation of individual characters; however, unlike the original production, the set was reduced to an absolute minimum which was clearly noticeable to the audience. Both productions of the musical have identical plots and scene sequences. These may seem self explanatory; however, it is noteworthy that directors often take artistic liberties in interpreting plays or musicals, especially when they may appear dated to contemporary audiences. This, however, was not the case in the 2017 production of Bye Bye Birdie because it stuck strictly to script; so much so, that actors could have been exchanged across plays without any ... • 19. The Village Of Nahum And Nahum s Town The Village of Nahum or Nahum s Town . This is the meaning of the name and the root of the name Capernaum. The name Capernaum is the English transliteration of the greek Kapernaoym and Kapharnaoym which are in turn a corruption of the Aramaic name Kepar Nahum. The form of Capernaum that is used in the Textus Receptus (the basis of our King James Bible) is Kapernaoum. The Latin rendering is Caphernaum. In the Hebrew the name, Kefar Nahum, has changed little from the original Aramaic. The name for the ruins at the accepted location for the city of Capernaum is Tell Hum, Tell meaning mound of (Na) Hum. Thus, based on the meaning alone even, we can see that the two names are linguistically compatible. The Arabic name for the city is Talhum. The name of the city Capernaum never appears in the Old Testament. One, quite likely reason for this is that the city of Capernaum was not formed until late in the second century BC. The city s late formation is adequate explaination for the lack of mention in the Old Testament It was called the village of Nahum because Nahum the prophet s tomb was shown there. One reason that it is so difficult to find the city of Capernaum with one hundred percent accuracy is that the Woes (Matthew 11:23, Luke 10:15) prophecied by Jesus came to pass with such competence. In Heller s satirical novel, Catch 22, he defines the infuriating, contradictory processes the military uses to run its soldiers lives and control their fates through his use of satirical dark humor, literary techniques, structure and various themes. Initially Yossarian s friend, Milo s corrupt nature eventually shines through when he sacrifices his fellow soldier s lives for his own profits. Milo arranges for a bombing of his own squadron for his benefit. Using Milo Minderbinder s character, Heller condemns the unscrupulous expansion of commercial interests that exploit people for profit or even reduce them to the status of commodities (Felty). Heller s satire is especially harsh when he emphasizes that everything is forgiven after Milo reveals that the raid resulted in a huge profit. Milo Minderbinder is the perfect symbol of capitalism and greed. Symbolism plays a huge part in Catch 22. Milo s greed for profits represents the greediness of capitalism and people in general. In an assignment for the urban design class, I investigated the image of the city as perceived by the largely illiterate rickshaw pullers, which navigate through it on a daily basis. It helped me to learn how the vocabulary of nodes and landmarks synonymous with traditional towns, still continues to be used by them. I illustrated this by drawing sector maps using Lynch s taxonomy of urban elements. For a national competition to design a people s mall, I looked into the supply chains and networks across the city, which transform sliver spaces within its formal fabric, appropriated by informal vendors and hawkers. Each sector, devised as homogeneous, self sufficient neighborhood units, now specializes in various resources leading to a differential development of the uniform grid layout. In my final thesis project, I researched on Chandigarh s gridlocked, urbanized villages which emerged as by products of the rational planning, juxtaposing contrasting forms of urbanism. Feedback Is Essential For Effective Teaching Essay COMMIINICATION FEEDBACK To be sure that the message (knowledge of the subject) has reached the students (the receiver) with the same meaning, purpose and intention as was desired, the teacher has to get some acknowledgement from the students. Feedback is the process that ensures this. This can take the form of a mod, an acknowledgement, or doing something as expected by the students. Feedback provides a learning opportunity to the teacher and the students both as it mirrors where the communication has gaps or inadequacies indicating the corrective action to be taken. In case of classroom teaching such feedback is essential for effective teaching. On the other hand if students act in conformity with the communicated items, they also need to know this from the teacher. This kind of feedback loop is the most essential principle of effective teaching. Positive and negative both kinds of feedback are necessary. They should, however be focused on specific action rather than on the individual student. Comments related to behavior are accepted more easily than those relating to an individual personality, attitudes, feelings etc. But it is necessary to tell the students where they are wrong. If they are not told this, the wrongs may perpetuate. Feedback, which is provided Here and Now is more meaningful than the delayed one. It is more effective to provide a feedback as a way of sharing information rather than insisting on the right way of doing things. For that reason the teacher ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Her mask seems to be created with an aura of sexuality, and is broken once it s used against her. What s notable is that William s sister was suffering from schizophrenia prior to writing Streetcar. When she was forced to have a lobotomy, it affected Williams, and has played a role in many of his shows. Blanche s dependence is a part of her mask as well, as it drives a lot of her character. In her own words; I have always depended on the kindness of strangers. It s the reason she initially comes to Stella and Stanley, and it seems her main goal throughout her time with them is to find a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Radioactive Elements Lab Report In this report will be show my knowledge about radioactive. Radioactive elements have unstable nuclei. There unstable nuclei give off radiation when the nuclei start to break down(decay). The 3 types of radiation are Alpha, Beta and Gamma. An Alpha particle (О±) is a helium nucleus that is a combination of two protons and two neutrons. This type of radiation is found in heavy elements. The charge of Alpha is positive 2. The mass is 4 atoms. Alpha particle can be stopped by thin paper. The ionizing power for this particle is strong because the charge is positive 2. A Beta particle (ОІ) is a fast moving electron comes from when an unstable neutron breaks down and turns into a proton with an atomic mass of 1/1800, Beta has a 1 charge. Beta also ... Plus they are use to tell if you have had too much radiation and to warn other people not to go to the same area or else they will have to much radiation and die. It is impossible to be totally safe from ionizing radiation because we are exposed to background radiation everyday. Background Radiation is a low level radiation. There is always background radiation around us, either from the environment such as rocks(granite), soils, plants and space(cosmic radiation)plus flying high in planes as there is athiner atmosphere so less absorption, greater radiation and caused by man made sources of radiation that comes from nuclear power plants, nuclear weapons, nuclear wastes and x rays. • 44. The Evolution Of Leadership And Organizational Impact Leadership History: The Evolution of Leadership and Organizational Impact Keywords: Leader, leadership, organizational impact, organizational performance Introduction The common denominator, according to Stone and Patterson (2005), shared by biblical patriots, Greek heroes Egyptian rulers is leadership; regardless of its influence, their lessons and philosophies continue to contribute to leadership today. This paper will present the definition of leadership that provides a framework for exploring leadership theories in this paper, and the subsequent impact on individual and organizational performance, while providing recommendations for future exploration of global expansion. Leadership Definition Leadership is comprised of three components: (1) a bi directional process during which a transaction occurs between the leader and the follower; (2) influence, the affect the leader has on followers; and (3) it occurs in groups of individuals focused on achieving a common objective or task (Northouse, 2013; Lussier Achua, 2013). Therefore, a concise definition of leadership according to Northouse is, a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal (Northouse, 2013, p. 5). The differentiation between leadership and management is the former establishes direction, aligns people, provides motivation and inspiration (Northouse, 2013). Influence, when coupled with power provides a moving force. While permeating all aspects of human ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Compare And Contrast Hemingway And Faulkner s Writing Style Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner were two of the most influential writers of the twentieth century. While they lived during the same period, their writing styles differed drastically. This can be seen in texts such as Hemingway s Hills Like White Elephants and A Clean, Well Lighted Place, and Faulkner s Barn Burning . Hemingway s style puts little focus on specific characterdetails, which makes his stories seem like they could be about any person, including the reader, while Faulkner s style puts a lot of focus on specific character details, which makes every detail and every character seem important to the reader. Both authors have styles indirect to their points, which forces the readers to figure out information on their own and leaves the purposes of texts more open to interpretation. The writing styles of Hemingway and Faulkner differ in numerous ways, the most prominent of which being their narrative focus. With Hemingway writing short, simple sentences, there was little discussion of the specific traits of each of characters in his stories. In both Hills Like White Elephants and A Clean, Well Lighted Place, the main characters are almost all unnamed. They lack specific ages, races, or nationalities. The only details included about the characters are those that are directly involved with the plot, such as in A Clean, Well Lighted Place, where the waiters are labeled as being young and old . By not having any certain traits tied to the main characters, Hemingway allows for those characters to be anyone. When the reader reads about a situation happening to a person, they have an easier time empathizing with them because the character can be more like them. This also allows for characters to represent concepts the reader can understand, either by living them out on a daily basis or seeing them lived out through other people. Unlike Hemingway s few details about characters, Faulkner goes into depth about all the characters in his stories, including his short story Barn Burning . At one point, the main character said this when describing his father, There was something about his wolflike independence and even courage when the advantage was at least neutral which impressed strangers, as ... By assessing the company both internally and externally by applying PESTLE and Porter s Five Force frameworks, this report will assess Qantas opportunities and strengths within the aviation industry. In addition to this, the report will focus on the specific resources and capabilities that enable Qantas to obtain a competitive advantage over its competitors through the use of the VRIO framework. A final analysis... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How society is observed as it transmits to air travel has a great deal to do with September 11, 2001. As a result of this tragic event, the judgments of the world have become increasingly profound to the background of passengers traveling on planes. It has shaped something of a undesirable perception for particular cultures and beliefs. This discourages people to travel with other passengers or airline, directly affects the airline industry (Reilly.N.J, 2010) 2.4 Technological Technological developments have both created new opportunities as well as threats for the aviation industry. Development in information and communication technologies has enabled strong communication and has consequently provided customers with an alternative for frequent travelling, for example; Qantas Frequent Flyer programs. Airlines are now able to expand their outreach directly to consumers through e commerce. For example, airlines like Qantas are able to introduce ticketless travel through the use of technology (Thompson and Gamble, 2012). 2.5 Legal The implementation of the carbon tax had a negative affect on the aviation industry, as the airlines could not absorb the higher cost of fuel. This meant to offset costs travelers would pay extra in ticket prices (Herald, 2011). Some governments provide subsidies that provide an unfair advantage and prices lower than market conditions which affects the functioning of airline industries directly and Global ... • 47. The Importance Of A Secure Mother Child Relationship I strongly believe that a secure mother child relationship is highly important in the later development of a person. The influence that a mother has on her child can later lead to important aspects needed for life; these may include behavioural/social skills, cognitive abilities, emotion and even on the personality of the child. Not only can a good relationship help nurture these positive characteristics but also prevent later difficulties in life such as trauma. There are two types of attachment that can be categorised as secure attachment and insecure attachment. Within insecure attachment there are three main sub categories which I will talk about later. Recent research has shown that new born babies have a far more superior ability to understand their environment than was previously believed. In the child s environment he or she will be in contact with many individuals, however, it has been shown that the mother child relationship is the most influential. A quote from Shonkoff and Phillips, early development entails the gradual transition from extreme dependence on others to manage the world for us to acquiring the competencies needed to manage the world for oneself Early relationships and experiences is highly important in the brains physical development. The brains plasticity is at its highest in the first few years in the life of an individual. It is believed that nature and nurture are very interactive in producing an individual s perception of the world. Early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
