Financial Aspect Of Climate Risk Management
Financial Aspect of Climate Risk Management
Climate change is a lethal and destructive force. In the recent past major climatic events like floods,
tsunamis etc. have led to substantial destruction of wealth. Such events have highlighted the need of
mechanisms for risk sharing of the losses and restoring the lost human and infrastructural capital. The
climate change agreement declared on December 12, 2015 was one of the highlights of the year. It
showcased the resolve of various nations in fighting climate change. It was a welcome change from
Copenhagen.
Climate Change and its Effects
The major target for financial sector is to provide jobs, economic welfare to the thriving population,
without damaging environmental balance. It is the role of the financial sector to help in managing
climate risk and help society recuperate from it. Any climate risk directly or indirectly affects the
financial sector in a huge manner. Whenever a climatic catastrophe occurs, the number of insurance
claims rise exponentially. Global Insurance claims have risen from 5.1 billion US dollars annually in
the 1970 s to 27 billion US dollars per year in 2014.
Figure 1: Losses due to various climate scenarios Source: World Resources Institute
Climate variability also affects agricultural sector in a major way. It affects food availability and
security and may lead to rise of poverty as well. As a natural calamity affects the agricultural sector, it
leads to loss of income of agriculture

A Cloud Supply Chain Management
A Cloud Supply Chain Management approach to Small Business
Small businesses are entering into a new era where older value systems and relationships are changing
into digital ecosystems with emerging complex relationships.
In the book, Being Digital, Nicholas Negroponte the Director of MIT s Media Lab introduces a simple
and powerful model for describing and predicting the effects of digital technology on information
exchange; he suggests that we re moving from a time where information is traded as atoms or Evian
bottles to a time where information is traded as bits. He suggests further that moving from atoms to
bits will have a particular sociological effect: As we interconnect ourselves, many of the values of a
nation state will give way to those of both larger and smaller electronic communities. We will
socialize in digital neighborhoods in which physical space will be irrelevant and time will play a
different role. Twenty years from now, when you look out a window, what you will see may be five
thousand miles and six time zones away (Negroponte, 2015).
Small business needs to be digitally wired due to the merging of physical boundaries with the stateless
digital technology. If a small business doesn t reinvent itself in the modern digital sphere, it will lose
its existence due to technological disruption. Embracing and integrating the modern cloud
technologies into every aspect of the business (Manufacturing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales and
services) is

Gene Therapy Of Tay Sachs Using A Modified Adenovirus
Gene Therapy of Tay Sachs Using a Modified Adenovirus
Akash J. Patel
Abstract: Tay Sach s disease results in an accumulation of lipids in the brain s nerve cells. The
underlying cause of Tay Sachs disease is a mutation in a gene that codes for a lytic enzyme known as
Hexosaminidase A (Hex A). Tay Sachs as well as other lipid storage diseases are incurable, but we
believe that gene therapy has the potential for widespread correction of the lipid storage defect in
humans by means of the cross correction cellular pathway. The vehicle of transportation for the
functional copy of the gene is a modified version of the Adenovirus. An advantage of the adenovirus is
that its genome does not integrate into the host genome to transcribe its ... Show more content on

Functional Hex A enzymes are lytic enzymes, which degrade these old gangliosides and expel them as
waste. Patients with Tay Sach s have a mutation in the gene that codes for the Hex A enzyme, this
results in the lipid build up that can cause neuronal death which lead to the symptoms of Tay Sach s.
The most common form of Tay Sachs takes place during infancy. Infants with the disease usually
show no symptoms until four to six months of age, this is usually when their development and motor
skills tend to weaken. As the disease develops, the infants start to experience seizures as well as vision
and hearing loss. Paralysis and a drop in intelligence have also been observed. Children with Tay
Sachs usually live only to about five years of age. Because of the high lethality rate any measures
toward a cure must be aggressive. As of date there are no tested treatment options for the disease but
there are a few options that have shown promise for other lipid storage diseases.
Enzyme Replacement Therapy:
Gaucher s disease is a lipid storage disease similar to Tay Sach s because its deficiency of a lytic
lysosomal enzyme. Gaucher s disease is in regards to which parts of the body it affects. Tay Sach s
affects the CNS while Gaucher s affects the spleen and liver. The main treatment option of Gaucher s
is enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). The deficient lytic enzyme (glucoserebrosidase) is injected
intravenously and directed toward the lysosomes in

Raphael Sanzio Da Urbino Research Paper
The Life of Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino By: Ben Mikus (5/1/16) Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino,
otherwise known as Raphael Sanzio of Urbino, was born on April 6, 1483 in Urbino, Italy. When he
was young, his father, Giovanni Santi, was his role model, being a painter for Federigo da
Moantefeltro, the Duke of Umbria. When he was eleven years old, Giovanni died and Raphael took up
his father s jobs of painting and managing the workshop. When he was only 17, Pietro Vannunci,
better known as Perugino, offered him a job as apprentice. Raphael agreed and was excited to gain
both knowledge and a hand on experience. In the four years that the apprenticeship lasted, Raphael
painted many religious works including: the Mond Crucifixion (c. 1502), The Three Graces (c. 1503),
The Knight s Dream (1504), and the Marriage of the Virgin (finished in 1504). After the completion of
the Marriage of the Virgin, the apprenticeship broke up and Raphael went to ... Show more content on

The frescos that he painted in the Vatican s Room of the Signatura were called The Triumph of
Religion and The School of Athens. The Expulsion of Heliodorus, The Miracle of Bolsena, The
Repulse of Attila from Rome, and The Liberation of Saint Peter were all frescos painted in a different
room in the Vatican, the Stanza da Eliodoro ( Room of Heliodorus ). Raphael had also created some
Madonna paintings, Madonna of the Chair and Sistine Madonna being the most famous. He even
painted the hugest painting on canvas, The Transfiguration (left unfinished). The same year that
Raphael an a few assistants finished painting in the Vatican s Stanza dell Incendio (1514), the architect
Donato Bramante died and Raphael was employed to be the chief architect for the Vatican by the
pope. He designed the Santa Maria del Popolo Chapel in Rome and helped design part of Saint Peter s

American Involvement In The United States Essay
The role of the United States now should be less involved with other countries because the United
State gets involved with other places too quickly even if it is right or wrong. Our country also takes
land that will benefit us more than others all for the wrong reasons. Also we are going head on head
with other countries for power and while fighting for power other groups are evolving from conflicts.
The United States gets involved in other countries even if it is not necessary. According to Mark
Twain he once said that it is going against our traditions and we are entering in an unjust and trivial
war. This war is against helpless people and robbery. The United States should be ashamed about the
choices that we make and how we go through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We did this because we wanted to be able to trade sugar with them and have a navel base. Geography
Cuba was in a great location. In Fidel Castro s offer with the United States he said that the United
States should resume sugar purchase from Cuba. The trade between these two places turned out to
benefit both but without us taking control over Cuba and saying we were helping them then none of
the trade would happened. Once we came into Cuba to help we pushed the people in a portion on the
land they could have and took the rest for our own good.
In present day now we still have problems with power between countries now. In an article by Toby
Craig Jones he starts out saying how the in the Middle East the oil production has enchanted global
powers and the United States has been particularly powerful. It is surprising on how we are the ones in
power even though we aren t the ones producing the oil. All this oil production is happening in the
Middle East where Americans aren t really liked because we had troops their taking control of things.
From being over there more and more terrorist groups are rising trying to take over the power. All
countries are fighting for the same thing, power.
Overall, the role of the United States should be less involved due to past and present events. Not only
do we do thing for all the wrong reasons people still support them even of it going against their
morals. Please keep

Post War America Civil Rights Analysis
Post War America: Civil Rights Immediately after the Second World War, America witnessed a period
of increased prosperity and economic success by way of continued expansion of the industry. This was
a continuation of what was witnessed after the First World War, where the United Stated of America
emerged as a winner and a new superpower in world politics. Most certainly, all races were involved
in combat by way of being drafted into service. The GI Bill of Right of 1944 this legislation that
provided money for education and other benefits to military personnel returning from World War II
(Foner, 2014). However, the benefits that accrued favored the whites more as opposed to the blacks
who were in all ways involved in the combat. In this case, the other minority groups which were

The urgency and energy were now directed to the emancipation of such groups from continuing
oppression and subjugation. During this period (1960 going forward) the civil rights movement now
engaged the governments directly requiring that their rights be protected. The violent protests and
boycotts which ensued gave the movement a sense of urgency. This necessitated more organized
forms of engagement for instance by way of civil rights organizations organized both by students and
the citizens everywhere. Notably, this period saw the emergence of notable figures such as Malcolm
X, Adam Clayton Powell and Martin Luther King Jnr. Their heroism, regardless of the different tactics
employed totally changed the civil rights movement. This urgency was aided by the efforts by the
Conservative wing of congress to block all social policies that were brought forward by John F
Kennedy. This has inspired hope and made the American people believe ion the ideal of equality and

Taking a look at Sky Spirits LLC
During 1992, one of the strongest opponents of V S Absolut Spirits was born. SKYY Spirits LLC
entered the market for alcoholic beverages without having any difficulties, despite the fact that
Absolut had established itself in the States for the past 13 years. The entrance of the SKYY Company
was mostly due to the lack of entry market barriers from the Absolut Vodka. The SKYY Company was
founded in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar in San Francisco, California and ever since then, both its
popularity and the sales volumes have actually increased phenomenally . Nowadays, SKYY Spirits
LLC is one of the fastest growing enterprises as their main product is high priced vodka of high
quality. However, there is still the question of why and how the success of this company was brought.
It offers the same products with Absolut, yet it had much more success and fame. The similarities of
the two companies are quite striking. An example of that the flavors of vodka that can be found in
both companies are berry, vanilla, citrus, orange, peach and melon. If we were to use Marketing
terminology we could refer to it as the Me too product . If we take into consideration us, meaning the
customer, it does not make any sense to buy a new and unknown vodka that offers the exact same
flavors as Absolut. Thus, in order to do so, the SKYY Company had to change the way it was
presented as it had lots of competition in the market. As the Absolut Vodka established itself with the

A Research Study On Helicopter Parenting Essay
College life for the twenty first century student is not what it used to be. According to an American
College Health Association National College Health Assessment survey, eighty five percent of college
students feel so tremendously overwhelmed they walk through the day blind and just hoping things
work out (Fisher). Students lack the ability to focus and manage everything that is piled on them
during class. The term helicopter parenting was first common in the 1990 s, but was first used in 1969.
Now, forty seven years later, helicopter parenting has become prevalent in college students lives and
the culture around people. A helicopter parent is one who takes an overprotective or excessive interest
in the life of their child or children. Helicopter parenting does not start out randomly as a college
student; helicopter parenting is a process that develops results.
The helicopter parent issue is prevalent to many people. People from Doctor Amy Joyce to stay at
home mom Jamie Porter have done studies to explain the effects of helicopter parenting. Psychologists
such as Chris Meno have done research and testings to collect data on helicopter parented children.
The issue of helicopter parenting is not just concerning children; it is concerning people across the
country.
President of Frostburg State University told Amy Joyce parents have called him to settle a dispute
between their child and their roommate. Joyce explains in her piece How Helicopter Parents Are

Reasons for Allied Victory in World War One
The extent to which a country can establish and retain a state of Total War inevitably leads to victory.
In World War 1, the allied forces ability to achieve this resulted in their success. The production of
munitions and American funding, resource allocation and the British Blockade, gave the allies a clear
advantage on the home front. The utilization of the superior weaponry and manpower as well as
improved tactics on the battlefront gave the allies an upper hand in this war of attrition. The final loss
of German morale on both the home and battlefronts, directly influenced by allied propaganda, the
arrival of the Americans and Germany s political instability, led to the cessation of the war and thus,
allied victory. The allied and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These strategies were then consolidated in 1918. The allies also adopted the use of Gas, it being one of
the most feared weapons. Source B depicts the use of gas masks. As gas was used frequently, allied
soldiers would often wear their masks as a precautionary measure, especially when firing machine
guns, like the source shows. The allied forces superior manpower aided in the war of attrition that
WW1 had become. The allies could gain troops from a number of nations as by the end of the War,
over 32 countries were supporting them. Germany was by then fighting alone. As source C displays,
despite the fact that the allies had more military deaths than that of the central powers, their population
was around eight times larger, thus allowing this high loss of life. The Allied forces essentially had
more personnel, weaponry and munitions supplies. This, along with their ability to develop tactics and
engage all elements of the battlefront, supported the perpetuation of Total War and the allies victory.
The loss of German morale on both the home and battlefronts greatly affected the outcome of the war.
This diminution of confidence was directly related to allied propaganda, the entrance of the Americans
to WW1 and the political instability of Germany. The lack of food supplies due to the British
Blockade and increasing casualty lists begun to make an impact on German morale. This, combined
with the allies

The Economic Recession Of Italy
Italy is a country governed by a Constitutional Republic and has a diversified industrial economy with
developed infrastructure. The economy consists of a vast majority of small and medium sized
businesses, with few large corporations; and according to the United Nations, citizens of Italy enjoy
the 26th highest HDI (human development index), indicating that the country overall is healthy. And
while Italy is the 8th largest economy in the world by GDP, at $2.129 Trillion, its economy has been
sluggish since 2000 with real GDP growth rate of less than 1.5% every year, and shrunk almost 7%
between 2007 2011. The country has seen its debt increase from 113 to 132 (% of GDP), as a result of
an increase in doubt over the government s ability to manage the economy. The Italian Government
needs to enact fiscal reform to erase the need for deficit spending, increase the country s growth rate,
and advance their economy in the long run. The global economic recession of 2008 shook economies
all around the world. Some of the largest countries saw a massive reduction in their GDP, and Italy
saw its economy shrink 3%. Italy still hasn t recovered from the hit it took in 2008, and it is still
causing problems for the country. Italy s debt actually isn t their problem, but it is the root problem.
Italy has carried debt to GDP ratios well above 100% for over 20 years, but only now are they having
serious economic issues. The real problem has been GDP growth. Back in the booming 1990 s

over eating with the teachers in the teachers lounge. Ms. Ferenczi strongly argues That s fine, ... But I

Lollapalooza and The Alternative Music Culture Essay
There have been many events in the course of music history that has shaped how what becomes
popular and what is deemed proper in terms of music we should be consuming. In 1991, Lollapalooza,
a multi city touring festival in the United States, highlighting alternative culture changed how music
was consumed from there on forward. With the popularity of the festival and the highlighting of the
alternative culture it represented the music industry took note, not long after the festival and explosion

For the purposes of this paper, alternative music culture while has a wide definition will be focused on
the music culture that was evident in Los Angeles between about 1985 until it became more
mainstream in 1991. This centre of the culture in LA is important because most of the important
record companies were and still are, based out of LA, since there was this centre of culture decision
makers it s not surprising that the city became a hot spot for musicians who wanted to become
recognized. Also important is the sheer size of LA itself, any time you get a city as large as it is you
get a wide variety of people living in a smaller area, communities come together and form various
subgroups. One subgroup evident in LA at this time was those who fell outside the dominate music
groups of the time, mainly, new wave, hip hop and hair metal (Mullen 2005). This subgroup was as
varied as those who did not fall under the alternative heading, musically they could prescribe to
anything from the funk roots of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the 70 s influenced rock of Jane s
Addiction.
More importantly the people who fell under the alternative culture felt like their voices were not being
heard in the music that dominated the air waves at the time. It can be hypothesized that the alternative
music culture in LA grew out of a rejection of the hyper masculine, misogynistic values of the hair
metal scene that dominated LA and popular music culture for much of the 80 s. A

Introduction
Web applications are nowadays serving as a company s public face to the internet. This has created the
need to identify threats and attacks directed to data servers and web applications. Hackers exploit
vulnerabilities in input validation and authentication affecting the web application in order to gain
illegal access and disclose sensitive data or manipulate it to their benefits.
Common threats to data systems
Data systems such as the web application and data servers are faced by a number of threats, some of
these threats are discussed below:
Spoofing: this is a situation where computer assume the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Denial of Service Attack: The server denial of service attack is the most risky, causing the server to
crash or degrade ungracefully due to the malicious SOAP calls.
Human error: Errors caused by people who get into contact with the web application or data servers
either as operators or users include; accidental deletion of data, destruction of software programs,
configuration or hardware error. Vulnerabilities left by the software developers in software, is another
major error. This can include authentication which can be bypassed, failure to validate input and
output data, incorrect implementation of encryption, escalation of privileges, and failure to handle
errors correctly can be used to attack web application leading to exposure of sensitive data such as
customer s financial data. This can be used to cause fraud to the customer s bank or credit card.
Malfunction: software malfunction is mostly caused by poor development practices where security has
not been built in the software development life cycle but rather incorporated at a latter phase when the
software is already fully developed. By doing this, most of the vulnerabilities won t be handled which
latter leads to either crash or malfunctioning of the software, whereby the attacker has an easy time
breaking into the system and causing damage or customer s data disclosure.
The greatest area of vulnerability and potential for damage or data loss of web applications and

people have, are what lead them to have an attitude of not showing concern or interest at specific
things such as wars, stereotype issues, and personal problems. The last quote And would suffice (9) is
the authors description of how ice could easily replace fire in terms of destroying the world. This

Chipotle Process Structure
Beating the Competition with Process Structure, Design Strategy, and Customer Management
Steve Ells, Founder and Co CEO of Chipotle Mexican Grill Restaurant, states that, Our focus on our
unique people and food culture has created an impressive demand for a restaurant experience that is
redefining fast food for the better. This statement from Ells displays the foundation of Chipotle
Restaurant s success with their fast casual brand. This industry has grown 550% since 1999 due to
customers seeking out fast yet healthier alternatives for their lunch and dinner (Ferdman, 2015).
Chipotle opened its first restaurant in 1993 with the goal of providing high quality ingredients in their
preparation of their food selection. Consideration of how the food is harvested, the environment, and
treatment of animals are held as a high priority for the socially responsible Chipotle Restaurant. Food
is made without artificial flavors or fillers. In 2015, Chipotle has succeeded to start offering food
without GMO ingredients (Chipotle, 2015). A GMO (genetically modified organism) are foods that
are produced using genetic engineering. (Seeds of Deception, 2014)
For this analysis, recommendations will be delivered on how Chipotle Mexican Grill can defeat their
fast casual restaurant competitors. This can be done by adopting the business processes of their
competitors through design strategy, customer management, and process structure. The analysis will

Messier 13 Experience
The first factor my group took into consideration when taking our photographs of Messier 13 was that
it is a deep sky object, which means that it is far away and dim. This meant that our photos needed to
be taken with high ISO and high exposure. Specifically, this meant we needed to follow the first
golden rule which is that our first photo should be taken with a thirty second exposure and the highest
ISO the camera had. Before we actually took the photograph, we had to ensure that the camera was
centered, focused and zoomed on the star provided to us by Dr. Mario De Leo Winkler. The procedure
for this is to first center the star, focus it, zoom in once and then repeat these steps twice more, except
on the last round of steps instead of zooming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We agreed upon this number because it is around twenty five, which is a perfect square number that

were finished with our astronomical photos, we moved on to taking our flat images . These flat images
are taken of a white computer screen with the camera moved from manual mode to AV, which decided
exposure time for us, and with the ISO, focus, and amount of photos taken remaining constant. Flat
images are meant to correct for any foreign objects trapped within the camera, fo dust, that may show
up in our final images. This is another point in our session where we ran into trouble because when Dr.
Mario De Leo Winkler asked us about what stays the same when taking flat images, we forgot to
mention that the amount of images taken stays the same. The last thing we had to do was take the dark
images which is done by taking photographs in manual mode with the same exposure, ISO, and focus

Surgical System. Robotic surgery is an emerging technology that is used by many surgeons. This
method is used to Perform surgery using small tools attached to a robotic arm, where the surgeon
controls the robotic arm with a computer (Robotic surgery: MedlinePlus
Medical Encyclopedia, n.d.). Robotic surgery is an emerging technology that has many advantages to
not only the patients, but also for many surgeons who use the robotic procedures during surgery. There

In the year 2000, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the da Vinci Surgical System to
be used in the operating room. This surgical system is the Only commercially available technology
that can provide the surgeon with the intuitive control, range of motion, fine tissue manipulation
capability and 3 D visualization characteristic of open surgery, while simultaneously allowing the
surgeon to work through small ports of minimally invasive surgery (Robotic Surgery: The da Vinci
Surgical System, n.d.). In conclusion, after looking at these three predecessors such as the Arthrobot,
the
PROBOT, and the ROBODOC, we can definitely see that robotic surgery has clearly been making
history since the 1980 s until now. Many surgeons continue to use robots during surgery because of
the greater outcomes such as it reduces the patient s stay, less pain and quicker recovery after surgery.
Using robots doesn t only benefit the patients, but also the surgeons because this reduces the burden
on the surgeon and allows them to have a better control when operating on their

The Effects Of Stress On Physical Illness
Effects of Stress on Physical Illness Stress is an example of a behavior and experience explained in
physiological and psychological terms. Recently, awareness has been heightened concerning the
harmful effects of stress and how it can be successfully managed and prevented. Stults Kolehmainen
(2013) definition of stress focuses on some kind of force or mental pressure exerted upon an
individual. Often, stress is often associated with anxiety, strain, tension, distress and fatigue (Childs de
Wit, 2013). The effects of stress comprise psychological and biochemical physiological changes,
many of which are associated with ill health effects. Therefore, psychological and medical research
findings are vital in aiding to understand this issue. Ropponen, Svedberg and Koskenvuo (2014)
suggest that stress occurs as a result of interaction between a person and their environment. Rytwinski
and Avena (2014) state that symptoms of stress can actually be evident in varied ways including;
mentally, emotionally or physically. This paper discusses the effect of stress on physical illness. The
paper will start by showing the connection between the two terms and then the mechanisms that lead
to correction of stress and body parts. Physical A situation that is stressful can easily cause the body to
exhibit various symptoms such as inability to sleep, nervousness, tension headaches, alopecia,
increased blood pressure, and problems associated with the digestive system (Twisk Ickmans, 2013).

Planning And Scheduling Construction For Decades
Critical Path Method has been extensively utilised for planning and scheduling construction for
decades. As mentioned earlier, the study conducted by Tavakoli and Riachi (1990) results from
responding industries has shown overwhelming satisfaction of using the CPM technique for planning
and scheduling projects. The first steps in building the CPM technique is the activity list. Activity is
defined as task that consumes time and other resources (******) and contributes to the completion of
the project. This activity may further be broken down into components depending on the size of the
project. Example of activity is ****** Activity is shown by arrow to a node (figure 1).. The next is
sequencing, organising and scheduling these activities according to priorities. A key factor in
developing a realistic schedule is to embrace the right activities, weigh up the logical uniqueness of
each project and use engineering judgment. In most cases, it is not necessary to include every bid item
in the schedule. A construction schedule will establish the number of days needed to complete the
project including production rates, equipment To obtain clarity in project scheduling experienced input

The common characteristics of the three religions, including their ethics
The three religions are monotheistic; this is to mean that each one of them believes in the existence of
one deity. In Islam and Judaism, this is quite clear but in Christianity among some factions though
they still believe in one God, this God is believed to be made of three entities. This is, however, not a
denial of the one God but a way to show the complexity of religion (Learning centre, 2015). All the

The ad for American apparel giant Van Heusen the world s largest shirt company was created in 1952.
The controversial advertisement is referred to as the Witch Doctor. The ad claimed that 4 out of 5 men
want Oxfords . The odd one out being what looks to be a Native American or an African man dressed
to appear like a Neanderthal. The blonde Caucasian image bears the caption, college and alumni
tradition! , while the tribal dressed man reads, rumor has it that even he would gladly swap his boar s

What happened because of each ad? Were there protests? Was the ad taken down? Or did the reverse
happen, meaning did the brand thrive because of the controversial ad?
In 1952, this advertisement would not have raised any eyebrow, due to the culture dogma of the time.
Some members of society during that era believed that the white community was superior to the
minority community. Even though this is the era of the Civil Rights Movement, no one marched or
boycotted Van Heusen. These types of ads contain subliminal messages. Surely, this advertising may
have boldly offended many people. Nevertheless, this print ad was obviously effective. Without a
doubt this ad persuaded the target market to buy the oxford shirts to maintain their predominant status
in the social circle. Shirt sales didn t decrease and Van Heusen is a major global brand in this era.
However, critics have taken to social media platforms to complain about the 2011 Nivea ad. One tweet
boldly stated that Nivea claims that black people aren t civilized. Others called the ad unapologetically
racist. The company withdrew the 2011 advertisement after numerous complaints and released an
apology stating, This ad was inappropriate and offensive. It was never our intention to offend anyone,
and for this we are deeply sorry. This ad will never be used again. Diversity and equal opportunity are
crucial values of our company. Nivea wasn t interested in debating its ad,

Throughout most of its history, the Coors Brewing Company (Coors) has been a regionalized brewer
within the United States, specializing in high quality beer through by virtue of its source water
selection, stringent production standards, and cold filtered brewing approach. As the company

Much of what has been accomplished by Coors over the past century has been at the management
hands of the Coors family. In the 21st century, the beer industry landscape changed dramatically. It has
evolved into a competitive industry that competes internationally at multiple levels. Coors is looking
to continue to grow and become the 5th largest brewer by volume worldwide. Many questions arise,
however, and many challenges must be met to accomplish this goal. Will Coors be able to maintain its
family culture business structure on an international stage or will it have to give up family control to
achieve its growth goal? Will Coors attempt, at least on some level, to grow its core product
organically? And if so, how will the company address its distribution logistics issues of product
delivery from Golden, Colorado? Can Coors maintain the quality level on an international stage that
has become synonymous with its domestic reputation? In essence, does the Rocky Mountain King
have the necessary competencies within the current management, and within its business
strategy/approach to become an international company? III. Industry Analysis

enraged by the fact that he must be a slave decided that it wasn t fair.
Ulfric a young, skeletal looking boy at the age of 16 had just arrived in the slave town with tens of
other slaves as they were the newest shipment of workers. Taken from their homelands and their
families and forced to work on the plantations. Ulfric was assigned the role of plantation farmer, but

On the last day of December was the day that Ulfric gave the order. Burn the fortress walls down, lit

I surrender, just don t shoot. As the plumped up mayor quickly says in a stuttering voice as he

Duty And Damnation In Antigone
Antigone: Duty or Damnation
Daily we are faced with the perpetual issue of good versus evil? Right versus wrong, all the while
attempting to find a safe middle ground on which to stand so we may distance ourselves from
distasteful situations. Humanity often finds itself standing idly by, allowing others to make the hard
decisions, letting apathy take over and being blindly lead. Nevertheless, for some this blind faith is not
always a viable option
Brave, doomed Antigone goes through many emotions and struggles heavily under her burden,
knowing from the beginning what she must, and will do. Our focal point however is centered on King
Creon and Antigone concentrating on her reluctance to obey his decree that she views as unjust. King

Compare And Contrast Their Eyes Were Watching God
Jada Britt
Professor Lena Ampadu
English 233001
11 May 2015 The Disappointment of Their Eyes Were Watching God This essay will explain why the
movie Their Eyes Were Watching God differed from the book itself from which it was made. In the
book version of Their Eyes Were Watching God the idea of fellowship is portrayed profusely, but the
movie has a different viewpoint. The movie over sexualized the book to make it seem more appealing
to the people, but it makes the movie seem poor of quality. One of the most important things the
movie forgets to present is the coming of age of Janie. By not representing the characters and the
scenes precisely the movie lacks being worthy of such a good book. The movie is fantastic, the acting
is magnificent, and the creator has very good parallels, but the most important problem is that the
movie doesn t illustrate the sense of community that Zora Neal Hurston represents intensely in her
book Their Eyes Were Watching God. This now becomes a problem because the book is ... Show more

It would be an irony to say that the authors took creative freedom over the story to make it sellable.
Janie is a good looking African American with good hair and good looks. Hurston then describes Janie
in the male perspective as having Firm Buttocks like she had grape fruits in her hip pockets; the great
rope of black hair swinging to her waist and unraveling in the wind like a plume; then her pugnacious
breasts trying to bore hole in her shirt (Hurston 2). Hurston describes Janie this way to give light to
Janie, even though Janie s looks isn t what s the most important. The movie inappropriately focuses on
the sexuality of Janie. Using Halle Berry as the actress was a good choice because she s beautiful and
she s a great actor. The only problem is that they over sexualized the plot and used Halle Berry s looks
to make the movie seem more

which I found weird and sad because she s really cool, high spirited, pretty and really, just an amazing

never shown anyone. Today at lunch she didn t eat with her friends unlike usual and she ate very little.

Paganism In Beowulf
¬By definition, a Pagan is a person who has religious beliefs other than those of the main world
religion. The epic poem Beowulf was passed down verbally from generation to generation with
enlightening Pagan teachings and elements. Christian elements were not included in the poem until a
Christian monk added them when it was put as written text. However, the Christian aspects collide
with the Pagan elements found in the poem. Beowulf was originally told with only Pagan elements. In
the article The Essential Pagan Elements in Beowulf , it explains Pagan elements included in the story
such as dragons and magic. We do not hear anything about saints, angels, or any particular dogmatic

Things such as magic, unnatural creatures, and strange scenarios play a huge role in their faith.
However, Christians believe that things such as dragons, witches, magic and the dark arts are of Satan.
While the Pagans view the dragon as a fire breathing, greedy creature keeping treasure in its lair, the
Christians view it as the devil making the setting of hell. The equivalent of Beowulf in the Christian
faith would be Jesus Christ. He came into the world (lair) and freed us from sins (hell). Pagans view
Beowulf as having superhuman powers that let him overcome any trial he may face. For example of
Beowulf s strength, he lifted the giant s magical sword when nobody else could. His strength is
matched by Christian faith with the story of Jesus was resurrected and came out from the tomb he was
buried in. Beowulf fought for peace in the land of Geatland and Danes. Christ made peace with
everyone. They both share qualities of the desire for peace. The biggest comparison between Beowulf
and Jesus Christ is when they both died to save other people. According to Christian belief, Christ was
crucified to save everyone from death. Beowulf was killed by the dragon in order to save someone
else and to calm his soul from the loss of his village. Christ also found his true followers when he was
carrying the cross and they came to help him. Just like in Beowulf how Wiglaf is Beowulf s
companion because he fights by his side through thick and thin.

Christopher Morley On Laziness
Laziness is often looked down upon as something unworthy and unhelpful. Many tend to demote
those who are lazy, claiming that they lack responsibility and effort. However, in Christopher Morley s
essay On Laziness , he takes on a point of view out of the contrary. In his essay, Morley sees the
beneficial factors of being lazy. Morley uses historical examples, logical reasoning, and sophisticated
and powerful diction to illustrate the light and positive aspects in laziness. Throughout Morley s essay
he uses historical examples to back up his points about the beneficial factors of laziness. In his piece,
Morley speaks about Doctor Johnson, one of the world s greatest philosophers. Morley states, Doctor

He states, Unhappily, we were born with a certain fund of energy. We have been hustling about for a
number of years now, and it doesn t seem to get us anything but tribulation. Henceforward we are
going to make a determined effort to be more languid and demure, In this quote, Morley uses logic to
explain why people decide to become lazy. It is not because they want to, it is because we are
constantly working hard towards life, but all that effort only leads to trouble and distress. Thus, it is
only logical that people become more relaxed and lazy because their hard working and full of energy
life does not seem to provide any delight and contentment. Morley continues using logical reasoning
as he says, The man who is really, thoroughly, and philosophically slothful is the only thoroughly
happy man, Here, Morley claims that someone who is slothful or lazy, is the only genuinely happy
person. This connects back to his previous quote because if hustling in life only leads to distress, then
it is through laziness and a less active life, is when a person is truly happy. Overall, Morley uses
logical reasoning to state that laziness and slothfulness can lead to

  • 2. Financial Aspect Of Climate Risk Management Financial Aspect of Climate Risk Management Climate change is a lethal and destructive force. In the recent past major climatic events like floods, tsunamis etc. have led to substantial destruction of wealth. Such events have highlighted the need of mechanisms for risk sharing of the losses and restoring the lost human and infrastructural capital. The climate change agreement declared on December 12, 2015 was one of the highlights of the year. It showcased the resolve of various nations in fighting climate change. It was a welcome change from Copenhagen. Climate Change and its Effects The major target for financial sector is to provide jobs, economic welfare to the thriving population, without damaging environmental balance. It is the role of the financial sector to help in managing climate risk and help society recuperate from it. Any climate risk directly or indirectly affects the financial sector in a huge manner. Whenever a climatic catastrophe occurs, the number of insurance claims rise exponentially. Global Insurance claims have risen from 5.1 billion US dollars annually in the 1970 s to 27 billion US dollars per year in 2014. Figure 1: Losses due to various climate scenarios Source: World Resources Institute Climate variability also affects agricultural sector in a major way. It affects food availability and security and may lead to rise of poverty as well. As a natural calamity affects the agricultural sector, it leads to loss of income of agriculture ... • 3. A Cloud Supply Chain Management A Cloud Supply Chain Management approach to Small Business Small businesses are entering into a new era where older value systems and relationships are changing into digital ecosystems with emerging complex relationships. In the book, Being Digital, Nicholas Negroponte the Director of MIT s Media Lab introduces a simple and powerful model for describing and predicting the effects of digital technology on information exchange; he suggests that we re moving from a time where information is traded as atoms or Evian bottles to a time where information is traded as bits. He suggests further that moving from atoms to bits will have a particular sociological effect: As we interconnect ourselves, many of the values of a nation state will give way to those of both larger and smaller electronic communities. We will socialize in digital neighborhoods in which physical space will be irrelevant and time will play a different role. Twenty years from now, when you look out a window, what you will see may be five thousand miles and six time zones away (Negroponte, 2015). Small business needs to be digitally wired due to the merging of physical boundaries with the stateless digital technology. If a small business doesn t reinvent itself in the modern digital sphere, it will lose its existence due to technological disruption. Embracing and integrating the modern cloud technologies into every aspect of the business (Manufacturing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales and services) is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Gene Therapy Of Tay Sachs Using A Modified Adenovirus Gene Therapy of Tay Sachs Using a Modified Adenovirus Akash J. Patel Abstract: Tay Sach s disease results in an accumulation of lipids in the brain s nerve cells. The underlying cause of Tay Sachs disease is a mutation in a gene that codes for a lytic enzyme known as Hexosaminidase A (Hex A). Tay Sachs as well as other lipid storage diseases are incurable, but we believe that gene therapy has the potential for widespread correction of the lipid storage defect in humans by means of the cross correction cellular pathway. The vehicle of transportation for the functional copy of the gene is a modified version of the Adenovirus. An advantage of the adenovirus is that its genome does not integrate into the host genome to transcribe its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Functional Hex A enzymes are lytic enzymes, which degrade these old gangliosides and expel them as waste. Patients with Tay Sach s have a mutation in the gene that codes for the Hex A enzyme, this results in the lipid build up that can cause neuronal death which lead to the symptoms of Tay Sach s. The most common form of Tay Sachs takes place during infancy. Infants with the disease usually show no symptoms until four to six months of age, this is usually when their development and motor skills tend to weaken. As the disease develops, the infants start to experience seizures as well as vision and hearing loss. Paralysis and a drop in intelligence have also been observed. Children with Tay Sachs usually live only to about five years of age. Because of the high lethality rate any measures toward a cure must be aggressive. As of date there are no tested treatment options for the disease but there are a few options that have shown promise for other lipid storage diseases. Enzyme Replacement Therapy: Gaucher s disease is a lipid storage disease similar to Tay Sach s because its deficiency of a lytic lysosomal enzyme. Gaucher s disease is in regards to which parts of the body it affects. Tay Sach s affects the CNS while Gaucher s affects the spleen and liver. The main treatment option of Gaucher s is enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). The deficient lytic enzyme (glucoserebrosidase) is injected intravenously and directed toward the lysosomes in ... Raphael Sanzio Da Urbino Research Paper The Life of Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino By: Ben Mikus (5/1/16) Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, otherwise known as Raphael Sanzio of Urbino, was born on April 6, 1483 in Urbino, Italy. When he was young, his father, Giovanni Santi, was his role model, being a painter for Federigo da Moantefeltro, the Duke of Umbria. When he was eleven years old, Giovanni died and Raphael took up his father s jobs of painting and managing the workshop. When he was only 17, Pietro Vannunci, better known as Perugino, offered him a job as apprentice. Raphael agreed and was excited to gain both knowledge and a hand on experience. In the four years that the apprenticeship lasted, Raphael painted many religious works including: the Mond Crucifixion (c. 1502), The Three Graces (c. 1503), The Knight s Dream (1504), and the Marriage of the Virgin (finished in 1504). • 6. American Involvement In The United States Essay The role of the United States now should be less involved with other countries because the United State gets involved with other places too quickly even if it is right or wrong. Our country also takes land that will benefit us more than others all for the wrong reasons. Also we are going head on head with other countries for power and while fighting for power other groups are evolving from conflicts. The United States gets involved in other countries even if it is not necessary. According to Mark Twain he once said that it is going against our traditions and we are entering in an unjust and trivial war. This war is against helpless people and robbery. We did this because we wanted to be able to trade sugar with them and have a navel base. Geography Cuba was in a great location. In Fidel Castro s offer with the United States he said that the United States should resume sugar purchase from Cuba. The trade between these two places turned out to benefit both but without us taking control over Cuba and saying we were helping them then none of the trade would happened. Once we came into Cuba to help we pushed the people in a portion on the land they could have and took the rest for our own good. In present day now we still have problems with power between countries now. In an article by Toby Craig Jones he starts out saying how the in the Middle East the oil production has enchanted global powers and the United States has been particularly powerful. It is surprising on how we are the ones in power even though we aren t the ones producing the oil. All this oil production is happening in the Middle East where Americans aren t really liked because we had troops their taking control of things. From being over there more and more terrorist groups are rising trying to take over the power. All countries are fighting for the same thing, power. Overall, the role of the United States should be less involved due to past and present events. • 7. Post War America Civil Rights Analysis Post War America: Civil Rights Immediately after the Second World War, America witnessed a period of increased prosperity and economic success by way of continued expansion of the industry. This was a continuation of what was witnessed after the First World War, where the United Stated of America emerged as a winner and a new superpower in world politics. Most certainly, all races were involved in combat by way of being drafted into service. The GI Bill of Right of 1944 this legislation that provided money for education and other benefits to military personnel returning from World War II (Foner, 2014). • 8. Taking a look at Sky Spirits LLC During 1992, one of the strongest opponents of V S Absolut Spirits was born. SKYY Spirits LLC entered the market for alcoholic beverages without having any difficulties, despite the fact that Absolut had established itself in the States for the past 13 years. The entrance of the SKYY Company was mostly due to the lack of entry market barriers from the Absolut Vodka. The SKYY Company was founded in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar in San Francisco, California and ever since then, both its popularity and the sales volumes have actually increased phenomenally . Nowadays, SKYY Spirits LLC is one of the fastest growing enterprises as their main product is high priced vodka of high quality. However, there is still the question of why and how the success of this company was brought. It offers the same products with Absolut, yet it had much more success and fame. The similarities of the two companies are quite striking. An example of that the flavors of vodka that can be found in both companies are berry, vanilla, citrus, orange, peach and melon. If we were to use Marketing terminology we could refer to it as the Me too product . If we take into consideration us, meaning the customer, it does not make any sense to buy a new and unknown vodka that offers the exact same flavors as Absolut. Thus, in order to do so, the SKYY Company had to change the way it was presented as it had lots of competition in the market. • 11. A Research Study On Helicopter Parenting Essay College life for the twenty first century student is not what it used to be. According to an American College Health Association National College Health Assessment survey, eighty five percent of college students feel so tremendously overwhelmed they walk through the day blind and just hoping things work out (Fisher). Students lack the ability to focus and manage everything that is piled on them during class. The term helicopter parenting was first common in the 1990 s, but was first used in 1969. Now, forty seven years later, helicopter parenting has become prevalent in college students lives and the culture around people. A helicopter parent is one who takes an overprotective or excessive interest in the life of their child or children. Helicopter parenting does not start out randomly as a college student; helicopter parenting is a process that develops results. The helicopter parent issue is prevalent to many people. People from Doctor Amy Joyce to stay at home mom Jamie Porter have done studies to explain the effects of helicopter parenting. Psychologists such as Chris Meno have done research and testings to collect data on helicopter parented children. The issue of helicopter parenting is not just concerning children; it is concerning people across the country. President of Frostburg State University told Amy Joyce parents have called him to settle a dispute between their child and their roommate. • 12. Reasons for Allied Victory in World War One The extent to which a country can establish and retain a state of Total War inevitably leads to victory. In World War 1, the allied forces ability to achieve this resulted in their success. The production of munitions and American funding, resource allocation and the British Blockade, gave the allies a clear advantage on the home front. The utilization of the superior weaponry and manpower as well as improved tactics on the battlefront gave the allies an upper hand in this war of attrition. The Allied forces essentially had more personnel, weaponry and munitions supplies. This, along with their ability to develop tactics and engage all elements of the battlefront, supported the perpetuation of Total War and the allies victory. The loss of German morale on both the home and battlefronts greatly affected the outcome of the war. And while Italy is the 8th largest economy in the world by GDP, at $2.129 Trillion, its economy has been sluggish since 2000 with real GDP growth rate of less than 1.5% every year, and shrunk almost 7% between 2007 2011. The country has seen its debt increase from 113 to 132 (% of GDP), as a result of an increase in doubt over the government s ability to manage the economy. The Italian Government needs to enact fiscal reform to erase the need for deficit spending, increase the country s growth rate, and advance their economy in the long run. Also important is the sheer size of LA itself, any time you get a city as large as it is you get a wide variety of people living in a smaller area, communities come together and form various subgroups. One subgroup evident in LA at this time was those who fell outside the dominate music groups of the time, mainly, new wave, hip hop and hair metal (Mullen 2005). This subgroup was as varied as those who did not fall under the alternative heading, musically they could prescribe to anything from the funk roots of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the 70 s influenced rock of Jane s Addiction. More importantly the people who fell under the alternative culture felt like their voices were not being heard in the music that dominated the air waves at the time. After a few minutes, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It hurts and I don t know what to do because I don t know what it is or what s causing it. She started to calm down. Okay, so, is there stuff happening at home that a teacher or supervisor should probably know? I won t tell anyone so you don t have to worry about that, you can trust me. No, there isn t, that s why I can t solve, or even cope with these emotional meltdowns... because there isn t anything wrong in my life, that I know of at least. Okay, look, I think I know what s wrong. You might actually have depression, I ve had those feelings before, so I know what they feel like, and I know this sounds a lot like a bullshit cliché but trust me, it does get better. Well, thanks for trying but I don t think it will. I m sorry, but I ve dealing with this for too long and it s just getting to be too much to handle. Really? How long? Why didn t you tell me I could have been there to help you, to support you, to help you not feel so alone anymore. I m sorry, I couldn t... I just couldn t. I couldn t have risked you thinking bad or lower about me. She said as she started to cry lightly again. Okay, please stop... I would never do that and you know it. I told her as I put my hand on her shoulder wiping away some of her tears. Well, thanks but I still think trying to help me is pointless and a lost cause because I just can t handle it anymore. I m really sorry to say it, but I ve considered suicide before, but I just couldn t do it because I know that people ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Paganism In Beowulf ¬By definition, a Pagan is a person who has religious beliefs other than those of the main world religion. The epic poem Beowulf was passed down verbally from generation to generation with enlightening Pagan teachings and elements. Christian elements were not included in the poem until a Christian monk added them when it was put as written text. However, the Christian aspects collide with the Pagan elements found in the poem. Beowulf was originally told with only Pagan elements. In the article The Essential Pagan Elements in Beowulf , it explains Pagan elements included in the story such as dragons and magic. We do not hear anything about saints, angels, or any particular dogmatic points (Moorman). In the Pagan religion when a hero or important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Things such as magic, unnatural creatures, and strange scenarios play a huge role in their faith. However, Christians believe that things such as dragons, witches, magic and the dark arts are of Satan. While the Pagans view the dragon as a fire breathing, greedy creature keeping treasure in its lair, the Christians view it as the devil making the setting of hell. The equivalent of Beowulf in the Christian faith would be Jesus Christ. He came into the world (lair) and freed us from sins (hell). Pagans view Beowulf as having superhuman powers that let him overcome any trial he may face. For example of Beowulf s strength, he lifted the giant s magical sword when nobody else could. His strength is matched by Christian faith with the story of Jesus was resurrected and came out from the tomb he was buried in. Beowulf fought for peace in the land of Geatland and Danes. Christ made peace with everyone. They both share qualities of the desire for peace. The biggest comparison between Beowulf and Jesus Christ is when they both died to save other people. According to Christian belief, Christ was crucified to save everyone from death. Beowulf was killed by the dragon in order to save someone else and to calm his soul from the loss of his village. Christ also found his true followers when he was carrying the cross and they came to help him. Just like in Beowulf how Wiglaf is Beowulf s companion because he fights by his side through thick and thin. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Christopher Morley On Laziness Laziness is often looked down upon as something unworthy and unhelpful. Many tend to demote those who are lazy, claiming that they lack responsibility and effort. However, in Christopher Morley s essay On Laziness , he takes on a point of view out of the contrary. In his essay, Morley sees the beneficial factors of being lazy. Morley uses historical examples, logical reasoning, and sophisticated and powerful diction to illustrate the light and positive aspects in laziness. Throughout Morley s essay he uses historical examples to back up his points about the beneficial factors of laziness. In his piece, Morley speaks about Doctor Johnson, one of the world s greatest philosophers. Morley states, Doctor Johnson, who was one of the world s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He states, Unhappily, we were born with a certain fund of energy. We have been hustling about for a number of years now, and it doesn t seem to get us anything but tribulation. Henceforward we are going to make a determined effort to be more languid and demure, In this quote, Morley uses logic to explain why people decide to become lazy. It is not because they want to, it is because we are constantly working hard towards life, but all that effort only leads to trouble and distress. Thus, it is only logical that people become more relaxed and lazy because their hard working and full of energy life does not seem to provide any delight and contentment. Morley continues using logical reasoning as he says, The man who is really, thoroughly, and philosophically slothful is the only thoroughly happy man, Here, Morley claims that someone who is slothful or lazy, is the only genuinely happy person. This connects back to his previous quote because if hustling in life only leads to distress, then it is through laziness and a less active life, is when a person is truly happy. Overall, Morley uses logical reasoning to state that laziness and slothfulness can lead to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
