Bacteria can be divided into two types of species, gram positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria.

Board Game Balance Essay
Year published was 2003 and designed by Nicole Johnschwager, Dale Pillars and Nathan Ruff. There s
not a lot of information about this game online or even in the instructions. it s fairly new when it
comes to board games and in my opinion not very well known.
Balance
This was the reason I chose this game for my summative. The balance of this game is more chosen by
the players than the actual game itself. The game is based off the players knowledge of each other. For
example, you have teams of two people. You could either have people who ve known each other for
years or people who have only just met and this would decide how well either team would do. I find

I m not one to play board games often but I do enjoy pulling this one out. it s designed with the
intention of older people playing it with questions that are explicit in nature. Another great thing about
this game is the replayability in one sitting. once you have ended one game, change the teams slightly
and now you have a completely new game ( of course you might have learned something new about
the player you are now teamed with). The game does have one flaw and that is that after a lot of
paying you tend to learn about each person so much that if you play with them again you know the
answers that they will write down one thing I thought of was that the players themselves could think
of questions that could fit into each category of the game. this would mean there a more question in
the game that haven t been answered before and therefore not make the game less fun for people who
have played it a lot. Another way would be to introduce a rule where if a player guesses their teams
answer wrong an opposing player can step in voluntarily and take a guess at their answer. if they get it
right they get to move their piece the same amount of spaces forward as on the dice and get to start
their turn there, but if they get it wrong they have to move back half the amount of spaces. the reason I
say back half the amount of spaces is to make the reward bigger than the risk. this would give players
more incentive to try guess rather

Established on the banks of western Africa is a small country known as Liberia. Liberia is an
astonishing country, with its history and culture. The first thing you might notice about Liberia is its
African heritage. Liberia was not only founded but also colonized but freed African slaves. It is also
known fact that the people are very friendly in Liberia. The culture of Liberia is amazing; some people
still carve out African figurines. This country has fought a long way for its freedom. That s why it is a
wonderful land of liberty! This nation needs to be recognized and you will agree that Liberia needs to
be visited at least once.

Quebec Recognition Research Paper
Recognition of Quebec The final section of this paper deals with recognition. Sovereigntists feel that
Quebec needs to be recognized since it is a distinct nation, as shown above, but that Canada refuses to
do so. Federalists argue that Canada has already given Quebec recognition for its distinctness. To
understand the federalist perspective we must look at Trudeau, Health, and Pelletier. Trudeau argues
that Quebec nationalism is illogical as it stands in the way of progress. As such he feels that it
existence is not something to promote but rather something to get rid of. Thus this work holds that any
sort of recognition of Quebec nationalism is too much recognition, and as such by doing nothing we
have done enough. Health holds that Trudeau attempted to undermine Quebec nationalism with
Canadian nationalism. Canadian nationalism looked to be inclusive to Quebec, through policies of
bilingualism. Hence, accommodations have been made by Canada. The problem though, is that even
though Canada has accommodated Quebec, nothing has changed, and thus accommodating Quebec

McRoberts argues that Anglophone Canada has never been responsive to Quebec and its distinct
needs. But to make matter worse, Anglophone Canada has taken on the opinions of Trudeau, and as
such view giving any extra powers to Quebec as unfair. Thus, true recognition of Quebec has not

Jack Kerouac s The Dharma Bums
Jack Kerouac is known for his unique writing style of spontaneous prose to tell stories of his own life
experiences. This fast paced style not only catches the attention of his readers, but gives a depiction of
Kerouac as a person. Kerouac s novel, The Dharma Bums, depicts the importance of pragmatism both
in the novel and in Kerouac s life through his non conformity and simplistic ways along with his
spontaneity and sexual conflict. Ray Smith stands out as a bit of a rebel with his non conformist ways
just like Kerouac. Quick to move on to different experiences and meet new people, Ray travels the

He even calls his writing style spontaneous prose. So of course Ray is going to have the same attitude.
Ray often feels at home with children and dogs because of their simple and innocent outlooks on the
world. Kids and dogs simply love to exist and have a good time with all their experiences. When
climbing to Matterhorn Peak, Japhy and Ray are making the final ascent and Ray suddenly becomes
afraid saying, This is too high (Kerouac, 83). However, by watching Japhy jumping up the mountain
and reaching the top, Kerouac realizes that it is better to simply jump right in and experience
something instead of worrying about it. Kerouac himself took many spontaneous trips. In a letter to
Lenrow, Kerouac describes one of his trips as a tremendous trip though a little out of focus, as they
say about sprawling novels (70). Kerouac would even be so spontaneous as to withdraw from one of
Lenrow s classes to work on his novel, On The Road. He even goes as far as to tell Lenrow that he

Rawls And John Stuart Mill
A very large and important idea in the political texts of philosophers is freedom, and the ways in
which a society may be considered free in the first place. Two philosophers stand out in terms of their
ideas of political freedom: John Stuart Mill and John Rawls. Rawls and Mill both strive to convince
us,
the reader as to what form a society must take in order to maximize its freedom. Mill argues that the
only restraints set upon people are those in order to prevent someone from doing direct harm to
another1
. Rawls goes one step further, where he solves not only the idea of freedom but also the issue
of equality in freedom that is not touched upon by previous philosophers. Although the ideas
presented by John Rawls may seem far fetched in their mechanisms, I feel that his method of
approach towards the idea of modern freedom not only builds upon the ideas of Mill, but also offers
the most advanced solution to the problem to date.
In order to properly explain the connections between Rawls and Mills, I will explain the ideas
behind Mill s philosophy first. Mill states his initial point about freedom very clearly: The only
purpose
for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his
will,
is to prevent harm to others. 2
Mill says, quite clearly, that the only time one s liberty (and in this case,
