*OILSTONE - used for sharpening edge of cutting
tools. Often, based on factory terms, it is called as
“whetstone”.
*SLIPSTONES - Used to sharpen irregular shaped
tools such as gauges.
Keep slipstones or oilstones in a box or well
wrapped in cloth or newspaper to protect them
from dirt and damaged.

*ADJUSTABLE WRENCH- This is exclusively used for holding
stock when loosening and tightening nuts, pipes and the
like.
*ADJUSTABLE OPEN and END WRENCH- This type of wrench
is used on square or hexagonal nuts when you are working
with the interior parts of faucets and valves.
*WRENCH RING - A tool for gripping,
turning nuts, screws, bolts etc. It’s
available in different sizes to fit different
nuts, screws, and bolts. The ring can also
fit square and hexagonal nut heads.
*PIPE WRENCH - used for holding or rotating round work, an
adjustable pipe wrench should be used. The movable jaw on
a pipe wrench is pivoted to permit a gripping action on the
work.
*ROLL GRIP WRENCH (foot print) - used to loosen and or
tightening heavy duty nuts.
*MONKEY WRENCH - Used for the same purpose and is
made in the same way as the adjustable open-end
wrench. Turning force should be applied to the back of
the handle.
*MULTIGRIPS - Used by a plumber to loosen and tighten
joints.
*AVIATION SNIPS – this tool is designed to provide
improvised leverage when making straight or curved cuts
in sheet metal.
*BOLT CUTTERS – to cut steel bolts and rods.
*BENT NOSE PLIERS – is commonly used by electricians to
old and cut using its jaws curved side ways at an angle
of 60 degrees and one half round section.
*DIAGONAL CUTTING PLIERS – used for cutting wire and
also for cutting electrical insulation wire.
*FLAT NOSE PLIERS – often called Engineers’ pliers. Used
mainly for holding and may also be used as wire cutter.
*SLIP JOINT PLIERS – also called common pliers. A graded slot
for holding nuts is designed for purpose of easy sliding and
adjusting to an opening desired. It holds round stock and
cuts wire of medium size.
*VISE-GRIP – the adjustable double-lever
action in its locking pliers can apply
varying amounts of pressure. When
properly adjusted, the jaws will hold
fragile objects without crushing.
*ELECTRIC WIRE STRIPER – is used to strip
solid or stranded wire up to 5mm
diameter. Set screws is provided for
setting the desired diameter of wire.
*FIBRO CUTTER - used for cutting fibro or
asbestos.
*INSIDE CALIPERS – TO TRANSFER
MEASUREMENTS FROM A RULE TO THE
WORK.
*KNIFE – for trimming and elaborating on designs already
cut.
*PUTTY KNIFE – special tool used to spread fillers or putty
in lumber holes, cracks, faulty joints, etc.
*PINCER – Used for removing nails and
brads wrongly driven in wood . A thin
scrap of wood should be used under the
pincer jaws when levering to prevent
bruising lumber surface.
