A Study On The Field Experience
This case study will go over the observations the author noted during their field experience. Also,
in this case study the author will go over other principal factors about the subject and their special
education circumstances. Demographics: The general overall appearance of L (subjects first
initial), looks like any other first grader. They do not need glasses, hearing aids, wheelchair, braces,
or other any other type of adaptive accommodations. The student is known to be Hispanic, because
the author asked the student s teacher for the student s ethnic demographics. On most days, the
child came to class unless they had a doctor s visit. The child seemed to never be absent otherwise.
The student seemed to appear clean. This student was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
L is sensitive to or can get upset when he does not get his way. When this happens the teacher
and aid will usually just let him be and he is eventually able to self regulate. The teacher and aids
only had to remind L a few times to help keep him on task and then he would do so. The teacher
and aid would never have to talk down or set aside time to manage L, he was one of the students
the teachers and aids did not have to worry about. Other higher level students would have
responsibilities to help low level students but L was in the middle and did not acquire help nor
was he assigned to help others, if he was able to do what was asked of him and stay on task.
Lesson plan: L had a few accommodations set aside just for him and his disability. L s main
accommodations focused more on his LD rather than his speech impairment. Visual schedules
were apart of L s accommodations. L struggled with letter and sound recognition so written
schedules were useless. He had to do three tasks in the morning that related around his letter to
word recognition. After he would finish those three tasks L would be able to choose a picture of
activities he could do on the large white board and have a schedule break. Those fun activities were
either him playing with manipulatives, playing on a iPad, or playing educational games on the
computer. A schedule break was

Elizabethan Era
The Elizabethan Age is the time period associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558
1603) and is often considered to be a golden age in English history. It was an age considered to
be the height of the English Renaissance, and saw the full flowering of English literature and
English poetry. In Elizabethan theater, William Shakespeare, among others, composed and staged
plays in a variety of settings that broke away from England s past style of plays. It was an age of
expansion and exploration abroad, while at home the Protestant Reformation was established and
successfully defended against the Catholic powers of the Continent. The Elizabethan Age is viewed
so highly because of the contrasts with the periods before and after. It was... Show more content on

There followed several long years of breathless suspense; then in 1588 the Armada sailed and
was utterly overwhelmed in one of the most complete disasters of the world s history. Thereupon
the released energy of England broke out exultantly into still more impetuous achievement in
almost every line of activity. The great literary period is taken by common consent to begin with
the publication of Spenser s Shepherd s Calendar in 1579, and to end in some sense at the death
of Elizabeth in 1603, though in the drama, at least, it really continues many years longer. Several
general characteristics of Elizabethan literature and writers should be indicated at the outset. 1.
The period has the great variety of almost unlimited creative force; it includes works of many
kinds in both verse and prose, and ranges in spirit from the loftiest Platonic idealism or the most
delightful romance to the level of very repulsive realism. 2. It was mainly dominated, however,
by the spirit of romance. 3. It was full also of the spirit of dramatic action, as befitted an age
whose restless enterprise was eagerly extending itself to every quarter of the globe. 4. In style it
often exhibits

1 Samuel s Horton Hears A Who !
Read Samuel 3. How are these stories similar? How do they differ? In 1 Samuel 1, the Lord
called Samuel, a young boy who was studying under the priest Eli. Samuel heard his name being
called, which he assumed was coming from Eli. When he went to Eli, he was told to return to
bed. Finally, Eli realized that it was the Lord who was calling Samuel, so he told Samuel to
listen. The Lord tells Samuel that Eli s family has sinned, and that nothing will ever make up for
what he has done, a message which Samuel has to pass on to Eli. There are certainly some
similarities between this story and Horton Hears a Who! They are both stories in which a
character hears something that nobody else hears, and in both stories the character is not
believed. However, in Horton Hears a Who!, Horton is forced to flee because he is punished for
believing that the speck made a noise. In 1 Samuel 3, Eli does quickly realize (without proof) that
it was in fact the Lord calling Samuel. How did Horton come to know that... Show more content on

If each school day is 6 hours long, then by the time a student graduates high school, they have
been to school for approximately 15,132 hours! (6 hours/day * 194 days/year * 13 years). This is
an immense amount of time, and if you include university, it may even surpass 20,000 hours.
Humans clearly value knowledge and education. But why? The answer is that knowledge is what
makes us human. Our ability to think critically, reason, invent, and discover is what separates us
from every other living thing on the planet. Human ingenuity is what advances civilization.
Knowledge is what brought us to the moon, and it is what gave us every piece of modern
technology we can imagine. Knowledge revolutionizes our lives every day. While it may not make
physical changes in itself, knowledge results in many important physical changes to our universe,
which is what makes it so important to

Werewolves have remained a mystery for a long time. Several theories accumulated over the
years on the topic of werewolves. There were Stories about men who shape shift during a full

the side effect of a fungus called Ergot. It was near the end of the 16th century in the town of

A hacking crime is defined as any criminal act when person hacks or breaks into computer system
or computer network in order to illegally obtain sensitive information or disseminate destructive
computer software. In order to effectively combat computer crime and discourage hacking activity,
lawmakers and computer professionals must understand the motivation behind this activity. The
hacking community is a diverse and complicated universe. If the best offense is a good defence,
then the best way to predict potential hacking attempts is to understand the mentality of hackers.

McAfee defines major categoriesof hackers Black hats, White hats and Grey hats.
A white hats usually works within the laws of hacker ethic (to do no harm) or as a security experts.
They are interested in improving security of computer system, operating systems, softwares and
networks. They have a long tradition of trying to improve the computing community and its
resources. A Black hats forces software vendors and systems administrators to fix security
problems by publishing known vulnerabilities. They are associated with anger and hate, whether
against a specific company or country and are often associated with web defacements. They have
no qualms about stealing or destroying data on the networks that they penetrate.A Grey hats lies
between the white hats and black hats. They may surf internet and hack into a computer system for
notifying the administrator that their system has a security defect and then they offer to correct
the defect for fee. There are some examples of hackers like Andrew Auernheimer who sentenced to

journey through James McBride s life while he figures out who he is. As we go through the
book we learn more about james and his family past. Ruth james mother was a jew her father
was abusive did not care for the children the way a father should. Ruth s mother was disabled but
loved the kids and took care of them as best as she could. As James gets older he wants to know
more about where he came from. He did not know much of his past as a result of his mother not
wanting her children knowing about the rough past she came from. As well as wanting to learn
about the secretive past his mother had he wanted to find himself and in doing so he had to find

There being such a past puts people like james into confusion when trying to figure out who they
are and where they belong. James had a black father and white mother and asked many times
whether he was white or black. Although, james mother saw the color of his skin as no reason to
love him less James wanted an answer to the question; but this was an answer his mother would
not give him. Because James went to a Jewish school that was mostly white it was hard for him
to fit in and it wasn t until he was older that he found his passion for music. James was not the
only one to struggle with where he belonged his mother also did not know where she fit. The
color of our skin should be no barrier as to where we feel comfortable and fit

Gmos Are Not Safe For Human Consumption
When it comes to the topic of weather genetic modifications are safe or unsafe for animals, the
environment and for human consumption, some of us will readily agree that they are in fact
very dangerous for everyone. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of
how exactly they affect everyone. Whereas some are convinced that GMOs are not safe for any
one, others maintain that they are not a hazard to anyone. I agree that GMOs are not safe because
while doing my research I found concrete evidence that proves that they are unsafe for
consumption. All production of GMOs should be discontinued immediately since they are a
danger for our environment and for ourselves. When the GMOs were introduced back in 1996,
doubts about whether they were safe for human consumption started to drive scientist to conduct
more experiments to make sure that GMOs are not a hazard to us. Experiments with genetic
modified corn were conducted to animals and the results were not good. Michelle Schoffro is a
cook with a PhD, DNM, in clinical nutritionist. She states that according to a research published in
the Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, scientist found that the genetically
modified corn was linked to liver and kidney damage in animals (Schoffro). Michelle s statement
proves that GMOs are not safe for animals. Since they are not safe for animals there is a big
possibility that they are not safe for human consumption and I say big because animals are

Reasons For The Schlieffen Plan
The Schlieffen plan was made started in 1894 by the German Chief of Staff Alfred von
Schlieffen in the request of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Von Schlieffen continued making the plan until
1903, then the plan was revised in 1903 later being carried out in 1906, 12 years after he started
creating the Schlieffen plan, knowing that he would be attacked from two sides of Germany,
Russia attacking from the East and France attacking from the West. Von Schlieffen Created the
Schlieffen Plan in 1905 when he was German Chief of Staff. Germany wanted to take out France
in the west before Russia could mobilise their troops to attack the east side of Germany, they did
this because they were scared that they would be attack from both sides of Germany and be taken
off the world map. So they attack France because they felt they were more of a threat as they could
mobilise their troops quickly, then Germany would transport their troops through railway tracks to
the east to attack the Russian soldiers, therefore having conquered France and defended against the

1960 s Cultural Changes
During the 1960 s, music began to change. From President Kennedy s assassination, to the
Vietnam War, and then the Civil Rights movement, these events all had an effect on the mood of
American s and music was used to reflect this change. The Vietnam War began almost unnoticed
by Americans but became a dominating fact of American politics by the mid 1960 s and the
American views of the war were very diverse(Johnson, 2012, pg. 273). Protest music was used to
address the Vietnam War, from the lack of progress being made to the amount of troops being sent
to Vietnam. This created the Anti War movement and protest music became the soundtrack. In a
survey performed by Rolling Stone, seventy percent of five star albums produced were released
between the Gulf of Tonkin incident and and the American withdrawal in 1973 (Anderson, 1986).
However, protest music was different than music released in earlier decades, it embodied the social
injustices and cultural changes of the world. This type of music would ultimately strengthen and

best selling single of his career and one of the greatest songs of all time. In 1970 , Edwin Starr

Tim Burton And Edward Scissorhands
As time has progressed in the same regard so has film, the cinema styles we see today contain
modern film techniques and state of the art cinema equipment, however elementally they all draw
influences from film eras of their past. Many established current day film directors have done an in
depth analysis of past filmmovements and often incorporate those elements in their films. Tim
Burton, one of the most esteemed directors of our time has done extensive studies particularly on
films from the German Expressionismera and often incorporates those influences as seen in his
1990 blockbuster, Edward Scissorhands. Metropolis, in particular, regarded as one of the greatest
films from the German Expressionism era, showcases aspects of this era that Tim Burton s film
directly derives from, everything from the generally dark visuals to the development of setting
and storyline. In viewing both films and examining them side by side, it is quite clear Edward
Scissorhands contains many modern day film styles, however at the same time draws numerous
influences from Metropolis and from the German Expressionism era in general. The most
astounding aspect of the German Expressionism era is the influences it has made in films that
were made far past its prime. At any point in history films and directors incorporate clear
influences from past cinematic eras, films such as Edward Scissorhands included modern day film
styles while drawing key characteristic influences from films like Metropolis

Anime is usually known for its flamboyant and outlandish animation (Yegulalp). However, Grave

Takahata criticizes Japan s self pride through the film s examination of how the children suffered.
This self pride is seen through Japan s Nationalism and the main character, Seita, himself. Seita,
throughout the film, captures these Nationalist ideals of righteousness and vengeance. Other
than this Nationalism, his self delusion and unwavering pride is also the result of Setsuko s
death. So, how does Grave of the Fireflies show how pride can be destructive? Historical and
cultural contexts, as well as the film s characterizations should be examined to understand how
self pride can be destructive. Takahata s Grave of the Fireflies is a criticism of how self pride
ultimately led to the suffering of Seita and Setsuko, whether it is by Japan s fault or the main

they belong to a private school located in the north of BogotГЎ and its pedagogy is based on the

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), so that they have as class
resource textbooks that support and supplement their learningprocess based on their level.
The students are children who like English and tend to participate actively in the classes, as they
are not used to working in groups or in an autonomous way, they find interesting the way that
English can give them a little space to share ideas and time with friends.
To carry out this analysis I chose one page of the practice book 1 of thumbs up! series (p. 61)

In this page both exercises are intended to make the students practice reading and writing by
providing seven illustrations that suggest the learner to read and color according to the information
given and to complete sentences by using words from the box. Based on what Tomlinson (2010, p.

consider is not happening in this unit; it is only focusing on the elements

My research project is based on the Liquid Crystal Display or (The LCD). The developer of the
LCD was a group of engineers, led by George Heilmeier a engineer himself. They started to
develop this in between 1964 and 1968. When his group thought they had finished, they later
found out they were wrong. George and his group had used Dynamic scattering method which
had worked poorly. Later a man named James Ferguson came along and replaced it with and
improved version. He had used twisted nematic field effect fro the LCD. It was released for sale
in the 1970s, it sold very quickly over thousands of people bought it in the United States.

One of the sensors that a LCD has is the backlight sensor. This increases productivity, life by
stabilizing the brightness, after the system starts up and automatically. It also connects ambient
temperature and adjusted the brightness over time. There is also a touch sensor for the touch LCD
monitor. This works because of the electromagnetic interference caused by your hand. This happens
when you move your hand near or close to the screen.
In addition the LCD computer monitor is in fact soldered. One of the components that is
soldered is the capacitors. Another thing that is soldered is some of the copper wires. There are
nine compartments inside an LCD monitor. It has two polarized filters one on top and one on
the bottom. In the center of these two filter is were the LC remains. On top and bellow the LC is
two other films, then on top of that there is a transformed electrode. Then on the bottom of the
lower filter is the back light/mirror. Then to finish it off there is either a red, blue or green film,
which can be adjusted to a certain brightness. On the back of all of this is where the wires are
connected to the battery and supply voltage. In conclusion Liquid Crystal Display is now a million

Political Debates Of The United States
Political debates in the United States, has turned into a constant public dispute, on who is more

arguments, that involves opposing viewpoints. One of the issues that has been in a constant debate
for years, is the Tax Reform . A recent Republican political debatethat took place on November
28th, gave us insight on the thoughts of some of our candidates, regarding the imposition of taxes.
In the United States, we tend to believe that we still are in a democratic era, yet as Republicans get

Donald Trump, at this point is just trying to influence his constituents and say what they would
love to hear. Yet, the sharing of taxes has never been consistent nor fair in the United States.
According to the Tax Fairness.org Facts Sheets, say that many wealthy Americans have ways to
avoid paying their fair share in taxes (Americanstax.org). Everyone has mixed feelings when it
comes to the tax topic, because most of our societies consist of working class individuals and
even below the poverty line group. So when we talk about the wealthy, is that 1%, whom are
gaining most of the incomes. This is not a surprise to American citizens. However, even though
Donald Trump s proposition sounds very interesting, killing the estate tax would cost [roughly]
$20 billion a year (Hunt, par.4), and we cannot afford more debt added to our budged in the
United States. A G.O.P challenger, Senator Marco Rubio, debated about tax cuts, but that this
would give almost twice as much to the rich (Hunt, par.5). If we are realistic, cutting taxes off
completely, will sort of benefit the working class because we will be fully gaining what we work
for, but, the richer will also benefit tremendously, because they won t have to pay no type of
taxes what so ever. The tax reform is an issue that we need to look into very closely, since it affects

A Consideration of the Way Shakespeare Presents and Develops the Theme of Blindness in
King Lear Introduction ============ Throughout King Lear , Shakespeare uses the play s
characters to make judgements on society using blindness as a metaphor that runs through the
play. He does this in a number of ways portraying characters that can be fooled by others flattery,
or are easily manipulated or deceived, or simply have a lack of wisdom. As well as the horrific
physical blinding of Gloucester, blindness is used as a metaphor for characters lack of insight,
moral blindness, and a lack of perception into other s needs and interests. Shakespeare illustrates the

Unlike Albany, Cornwall has great insight into other characters and uses this to his advantage by
manipulating and deceiving others. Cornwall however is morally blind, and unable to see the
wrong of his actions. The outcome of Cornwall s blindness is his death, his own servant turns on
him, just as he turned on his host and his king. Shakespeare illustrates poetic justice, in the
downfall of Cornwall. To counterbalance Cornwall s corruption, Albany grows in moral strength
and gains awareness of justice and virtue. Like Albany, Edgar s character develops throughout the
play, he must suffer as Tom O Bedlam to truly understand Edmond s trickery and more importantly
himself. He reverts into a state of oblivion, and denies himself personality, money, food, and his
position in society. From this state of nothingness, he builds his character, and so is no longer blind
to himself, therefore can more easily start to understand the intentions of those around him. Edgar
builds his character to the extent that by the end of the play, Shakespeare illustrates to the audience
that he has the most insight and rewards him with the title of King. Lear is blind and irresponsible
as father and ruler, he is preoccupied with appearances, he wishes to retain the trappings of majesty
without the cares and

The finish is too smooth to attempt a climb up the leg, and I ponder in the darkness for a while.
The chair would also be too difficult, not to mention once i reach the seat being at the mercy of

what seems like nearly an hour before, in the darkness, the cord begins to slip. I m in free fall, my

I slide a few inches down the cord as it stops, and sweaty and panting, I race to the top. I discover

The Fast Fashion Industry
Imagine having to wake up everyday knowing that you have the tough task as a child going to the
factory just to go a make fabric and clothing for people you do not even know. Just because they
want more.
When there is a high demand for goods from consumers in order to get more there needs to be
more factories and workers in order to produce more.Consumers are the main reason for the
goods being ethically produced. They are the ones who want the product , so when they ask for
more companies have no choice but build more and do it quickly and once they are built so fast the

of the appeals used in order to tell help people see what a high demand for products can do. For
example the author uses logos in order to explain to us how we are able to get goods so fast
from cheap labor. In the article it states The reason we have fast fashion is the cheap exploited
labor around the world, said Cline. She estimates that less than 10% of what we re wearing...
was made in factories where people were paid a living wage and working in safe and legal
conditions. This explains that we rarely wear clothes that was produced from safe and good
paying factories. As consumers we should turn the heat down and let it simmer for a minute. Is it
really fair to workers who make most of our clothes? Scafidi also states Yet with the demand for
fast fashion an all time high, more and more clothes are being made in the kinds of conditions that
morally offend a lot of people in the Western worldand without these kinds of well publicized
tragedies, shoppers don t even think about it. Scafidi displays the use of pathos in order to help
us feel and understand that we do not agree or support how people are enrolled into harsh labor ,
yet we continue and fail to realize what is going on until tragedies like the Bangladesh factory
collapse occurs. As consumers Scafidi wants us

Analysis Of Christina Rossetti s The Goblin Market
Kay Campbell
Dr. Kelly
Women in Literature
6/19/2016
Laura and Lizzie? Or Humanity and Jesus? In Christina Rossetti s the Goblin Market, sisters Laura
and Lizzie are key factors in the poem s allusion to biblical text. Rossetti illustrates this by letting
each sister represent two different sections within the bible the Old and New Testament. Laura
represents the Old Testament, in particular, the book of Genesis. Some critics suggest that Laura
takes on the role as Eve, since both women are beguiled into eating forbidden fruit or in Laura s
case, the Goblin men s fruit. However, it becomes apparent that perhaps Laura is not just a
symbol for the Old Testament and its characters. Rather, Laura takes on the symbol of humanity
who has fallen into sin and a great deal of suffering. Whereas, Lizzie is the savior figure or Jesus
esque character, who witnesses the sin and suffering of her sister (or humanity in this case) and
decides to risk her life in order to save her. Therefore, Rossetti uses the relationship between Laura
and Lizzie to allude to the relationship between humanity and Jesus; how one character saves the
other from the grasp of death. Initially, Rossetti s allusion to the Bible depicts Laura as the symbol
of a fallen humanity. In the beginning of the poem, Laura and Lizzie are on the same page, they
both know that it is ill advised to eat the goblin men s fruit. In fact, Laura is more adamant about
being strong willed against the goblin men s temptation

Our Time by John Edgar Wideman is a homage to his brother, who is currently incarcerated for
robbery and murder. Wideman goes into the depths of the jail where his brother is currently
incarcerated and the family dynamics that he believes put him there. Robby s best friend and the
leader of his gang Garth was killed due to negligence and that is where Robby s downward spiral
began. His brother Robby was the youngest of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The family dynamics stated, his privacy and mine had been exclusive (Wideman 674). So for
them to open up to each other about the mistakes they have both made was hard but eventually
all the pieces fell into place. In order to develop their bond they needed to open up and express
to each other their issues. If they were to avoid each other John would have never fully
developed his writing skills. The first topic they covered was the lies Robby has told over the
years. Like how he staged a robbery in his own house and stole a TV to pawn for money for
drugs. John still feels as though he can relate with his brother on a new level of trust and respect.
But where was I? Who was I? How did I miss so much (Wideman 687)? John admits to himself
here that the situation with Robby had gotten so out of hand for him and his family most of the
time they chose to look away. He has blocked so many wrongful actions from his mind that
Robby s confession made him realize all that he had been suppressing for years. John feels like a
hypocrite because when the TV was stolen his father in law bought him and his wife a new one.
With their homeowners insurance though they were refunded 100 dollars. Instead of giving it to
his father in law he chose to keep it. When the truth came out his father in law was hurt and felt that
John had manipulated the situation. Though this is a small mistake compared to Robby and his
crimes, Wideman begins to feel

Daniel has much written in it about prophecy that correlates with the End Times prophecy in the

The Crash Of The Air Crash
Nowadays, the airline industry is known as one of the most common type of transportation for
long and short distances. Over thousands of passengers are traveling by aircrafts every day. But,
this industry had faced with serious failures during last decades that in some cases, the human
loss was one of these failures consequences. The Turkish 981 air crash (as shown in Figure: 1) is a
known example of design process issues in airlinehistory because of losing all 346 passengers
after 10 minutes of flight. The Turkish aircraft was the second Mc_ Donnell Douglas

Douglas started to enter different jumbo jets to airline industry after producing jet planes for US

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Part of the torture is that the burden of guilt feels unending because you cannot undo the past
(Matsakis 119). In the book, Survivors Guilt by Aphrodite Matsakis, Ph. D, where Matsakis
depicts what and why living with PTSD is unbearable. Matsakis explains that guilt is the root of
PTSD. There is a never ending list of things to be guilty about after leaving a war, mainly;
wishing you could get the health back of the injured, get back the lives that were taken and
closure with soldiers you thought could have been saved. If the thoughts of these things could
have closure and be let go, the survivor s guilt would be surrendered. The quote, Guilt demands
punishment (119), explains in such simple terms of why the root of PTSD is guilt. If the guilt is
released, then the negative thoughts, feelings of hatred, anger and what ifs would all disappear.
Addiction and abuse are two common disorders that people often inherit while attempting to
coupe with their PTSD. Alcoholism and drug abuse are brought on by the tremendous amounts of
stress and guilt felt when suffering from PTSD. The anxiety and physiological arousal
(adrenaline reactions) created by feelings of survivor guilt can play a major role in the origin and
perpetuation of any form of addiction (Matsakis 121). The high and numbness that is associated
with alcohol and drugs gives a short term relief from the guilt and pain felt from PTSD. After the
short term relief is worn off, the veterans suffering often feel

Dr. Seuss The Appeaser Cartoon
Nearly all of us are familiar with the witty rhymes and colorful drawings of Dr. Seuss. Simply

books, Dr. Seuss was a successful political cartoonist for several major news outlets in the United
States prior to the outbreak of World War Two. The cartoon discussed will be one released right

This is easily identified by The Appeaser written on his shirt, as appeasement was Britain s
policy towards Germany at the time this cartoon was published. We also see the representation
of Great Britain by the small island that the man is standing on. It s easy to tell that the man
obviously doesn t have much hope in appeasing the creature coming out of the sea. He is
surrounded on all sides, he has nowhere to run or hide from his impending doom. And yet he
still seems confident, overly so. He is portrayed as being pompous, as if he still sees himself as
better than the sea monster towering above him. The caption above the cartoon, Remember...just
one more lollypop, and then you all go home shows us the irony in the thought that this man can
just hand out small lollypops to this beast and then expect it to go back where it came from. The
man on the island is treating this threat as if it were an unruly child, confident that if he just gives
the beast a taste of something sweet, it will run along and no longer be bothersome. From the
reader s point of view, it s easy to see the error in this thinking, as it is obvious that something so
huge and menacing cannot be appeased by something as simple as a

Social Constructs And Its Effect On Society
From the beginning of recorded history, especially in nature, some form of racism and sexism
have existed. They may have no be referred by these terms but evidence exists in many forms.
Birth determinants like the sex (male/female) and gender (masculine/feminine) of a person are
used to determine the individual s appearance and behavior in a specific time and place. These
social constructs are ideologies that hold meaning to a concrete society because the society itself
renders them meaningful; they do not necessarily exist but are enforced upon the masses
disguised as a necessary norm. It serves a purpose; to solidify an idea that serves as a norm.

Unfair treatment of human beings is a crime against humanity because every person should have
the right to dress, talk, live, peruse what feels right for them and not being limited to what the
society propels as being the right thing to do. People fail to realize that there are being violated,
and unconsciously accept the violation as a norm. Two of the most notorious social constructs are
racial and sexual classification of human beings. People are treated with the utmost disrespect, are
ostracized and denied basic human rights/life chances such as education, housing, health care based
on their race, gender and sexual orientation. Karl Marx, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Michel
Foucault, Erving Goffman conjure up theories that sheds light on the fact that racial and sexual
classifications are social constructs set in place to ensure that the elite gets the power they desire.
The elite, a select group that holds superiority over others use social constructs as way to control
the masses and gain more power. They do so by relying on people s sense of knowledge and truth.
According to Foucault, a French philosopher and a social theorist, knowledge is power Foucault
uses the term power/knowledge to demonstrate the fact that power is built through acceptance of
some sort of knowledge, scientific understanding and truth (Foucault 1998). Eeach society has their
own sets of truths which they abide by; acceptance of that truth makes it powerful. The one who has

they can be as extreme as being operated on, such as having a tubal ligation or a vasectomy. The

For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) describes EC as a contraceptive method used
by women in the first few days following unprotected intercourse to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Some conservative political and religious organizations seek to limit women s reproductive choices
by an inaccurately characterizing EC as abortion, when in fact; the WHO considers it a safe
contraceptive. Respect for women s rights to reproduce self determination also requires
governments to ensure that women give their full, informed consent before receiving a
contraceptive method. Government policies that disregard a women s own wishes in order to meet
demographic goals put women in danger of coercive and violent practices. Subjecting women to
surgical sterilization or administering contraceptive injections or implants without her informed

of modern methods of contraception can prevent many unwanted pregnancies. In order to meet
their international commitments, governments must improve access for men, women, and

Absurdism In Albert Camus s The Myth Of Sisyphus
In his novel, The Stranger, Albert Camus frames his philosophy of the absurd through the lens of a
character facing impending death. In Camus mind, the absurd is born of [the] confrontation
between the human need and the unreasonable silence of the world (The Myth of Sisyphus,
Camus). Absurdism asserts that the world is complex and chaotic and that searching for meaning of
any kind is futile. This suggests that life itself is meaningless given the indifference of the universe
towards human existence. To understand absurdism, one must, as Camus does, reject all notions of
god and allow that the significance of human life is only understood through acceptance of human

Compare And Contrast Essay On Julius Caesar
Do good motives make bad actions good? You could narrow the motives down to planning for
the future, wanting for a better nation, or hoping for a better leader. Planning for the future
could be justified by some peoples moral compasses by saying they plan for the future out of
genuine care, other could say that the future could not be justified by genuine care. Maybe the
fuel of planning for the future is fear of the future. If you are wanting a better nation, it could
easily be spurred on by lusting for a nation or empire, because you are envious of other nations,
or it could spurred on by a genuine love for your nation and the best for it. Hoping for a better
leader is a natural wish, because as humans we are discontent. Therefore we need weigh our
motives based on whether we want a new leader because we have true hope in a new leader, or we
simply hate those currently in authority over us. Whilst one is reading Julius Caesar, one must be

Making it clear to Cassius that he would not be lead into dangers, he acts sarcastic about Caesar
s triumph and support. He seemed snarky at first, but as one searches deeper, it would seem that
he did not want to be persuaded by Cassius. Believing that killing Caesar is the best thing for
Rome, he decides it can only be solved by death, and believes it is for the welfare of the people,
and believes that he has never known a time when his heart ruled his head. Soon after, Brutus
starts preparing for Caesar s death. Following Caesar s death, he asks Antony to not censure him
and Cassius at Caesar s funeral, but to promote them. Brutus was very interested and motivated by
other s opinions. Because Brutus does care about others, he did kill Caesar because he wanted a

Jay Gould Stock Manipulation
Jason Jay Gould, a ruthless robber baron of the Industrial Revolution, is guilty of stock
manipulation to grapple control with other wealthy industrialists, attempting to influence the
government outside the boundaries of legal lobbying, and the attempted kidnapping of a foreign
dignitary after legal means to his greed driven ends were expended. The accused was born on a
farm in Roxbury, New York. After scamming his first employer, a blacksmith, into giving him half
interest in the shop that he could sell to his father, he later entered into several business partnerships
with other businessmen to get into the leather industry in Pennsylvania. Taking advantage of his
former partners, he escalated quickly and began investing in railroad stock.... Show more content on

The patch antenna, microstrip transmission line and ground plane are made of high conductivity
metal (typically copper). The patch is of length L, width W, and sitting on top of a substrate (some
dielectric circuit board) of thickness h with permittivity. The thickness of the ground plane or of the
microstrip is not critically important. Typically the height h is much smaller than the wavelength of
operation, but not much smaller than 0.05 of a wavelength.

The strip (patch) and the ground plane are separated by a dielectric sheet as shown in Figure 2.

Crime And Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay
Criminality or criminal behaviour has long been the subject of great interest within psychology,
captivating the interest of psychologists from all different perspectives (Hollin, 2013; Putwain
Sammons, 2013). Due to this, there are many approaches to criminality and theories of criminal
behaviour that have been supported by empirical evidence, which provide insightful, but different
explanations of this psychologyphenomenon (Eysenck, 2013; Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons,
2013). In spite of this, there are criticisms and weaknesses to these approaches and theories as well
as methodological limitations to the supporting research, which brings into question the reliability,
validity and usefulness of these approaches in the explanation of criminality and criminal
behaviour (Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons, 2013). As a consequence of this, this essay will
critically discuss the phrase once a criminal, always a criminal in relation to the biological
/evolutionary and psychoanalytic approaches as well as social learning theory, the social and
cognitive approaches.
The first approach that will be discussed in this essay is that of the biological/evolutionary
approach that states that criminal behaviour is a consequence of evolutionary adaptions to the
environment and a need to survive as well as reproduce, which is all based on sex and the
gathering of resources, such as financial wealth (Buss, 2012; Quinsey, 2002). In other words, the
biological/evolutionary approach

The teacher and aid would never have to talk down or set aside time to manage L, he was one of the students the teachers and aids did not have to worry about. Visual schedules were apart of L s accommodations. L struggled with letter and sound recognition so written schedules were useless. He had to do three tasks in the morning that related around his letter to word recognition. • 3. Elizabethan Era The Elizabethan Age is the time period associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 1603) and is often considered to be a golden age in English history. It was an age considered to be the height of the English Renaissance, and saw the full flowering of English literature and English poetry. In Elizabethan theater, William Shakespeare, among others, composed and staged plays in a variety of settings that broke away from England s past style of plays. It was an age of expansion and exploration abroad, while at home the Protestant Reformation was established and successfully defended against the Catholic powers of the Continent. There followed several long years of breathless suspense; then in 1588 the Armada sailed and was utterly overwhelmed in one of the most complete disasters of the world s history. Thereupon the released energy of England broke out exultantly into still more impetuous achievement in almost every line of activity. The great literary period is taken by common consent to begin with the publication of Spenser s Shepherd s Calendar in 1579, and to end in some sense at the death of Elizabeth in 1603, though in the drama, at least, it really continues many years longer. Several general characteristics of Elizabethan literature and writers should be indicated at the outset. 1. The period has the great variety of almost unlimited creative force; it includes works of many kinds in both verse and prose, and ranges in spirit from the loftiest Platonic idealism or the most delightful romance to the level of very repulsive realism. 2. It was mainly dominated, however, by the spirit of romance. 3. It was full also of the spirit of dramatic action, as befitted an age whose restless enterprise was eagerly extending itself to every quarter of the globe. 4. In style it often exhibits ... • 4. 1 Samuel s Horton Hears A Who ! Read Samuel 3. How are these stories similar? How do they differ? In 1 Samuel 1, the Lord called Samuel, a young boy who was studying under the priest Eli. Samuel heard his name being called, which he assumed was coming from Eli. When he went to Eli, he was told to return to bed. Finally, Eli realized that it was the Lord who was calling Samuel, so he told Samuel to listen. The Lord tells Samuel that Eli s family has sinned, and that nothing will ever make up for what he has done, a message which Samuel has to pass on to Eli. There are certainly some similarities between this story and Horton Hears a Who! They are both stories in which a character hears something that nobody else hears, and in both stories the character is not believed. However, in Horton Hears a Who!, Horton is forced to flee because he is punished for believing that the speck made a noise. In 1 Samuel 3, Eli does quickly realize (without proof) that it was in fact the Lord calling Samuel. How did Horton come to know that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gmos Are Not Safe For Human Consumption When it comes to the topic of weather genetic modifications are safe or unsafe for animals, the environment and for human consumption, some of us will readily agree that they are in fact very dangerous for everyone. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of how exactly they affect everyone. Whereas some are convinced that GMOs are not safe for any one, others maintain that they are not a hazard to anyone. I agree that GMOs are not safe because while doing my research I found concrete evidence that proves that they are unsafe for consumption. All production of GMOs should be discontinued immediately since they are a danger for our environment and for ourselves. When the GMOs were introduced back in 1996, doubts about whether they were safe for human consumption started to drive scientist to conduct more experiments to make sure that GMOs are not a hazard to us. Experiments with genetic modified corn were conducted to animals and the results were not good. Michelle Schoffro is a cook with a PhD, DNM, in clinical nutritionist. The Vietnam War began almost unnoticed by Americans but became a dominating fact of American politics by the mid 1960 s and the American views of the war were very diverse(Johnson, 2012, pg. 273). In a survey performed by Rolling Stone, seventy percent of five star albums produced were released between the Gulf of Tonkin incident and and the American withdrawal in 1973 (Anderson, 1986). In the article it states The reason we have fast fashion is the cheap exploited labor around the world, said Cline. • 23. Analysis Of Christina Rossetti s The Goblin Market Kay Campbell Dr. Kelly Women in Literature 6/19/2016 Laura and Lizzie? Or Humanity and Jesus? In Christina Rossetti s the Goblin Market, sisters Laura and Lizzie are key factors in the poem s allusion to biblical text. Rossetti illustrates this by letting each sister represent two different sections within the bible the Old and New Testament. Laura represents the Old Testament, in particular, the book of Genesis. Some critics suggest that Laura takes on the role as Eve, since both women are beguiled into eating forbidden fruit or in Laura s case, the Goblin men s fruit. However, it becomes apparent that perhaps Laura is not just a symbol for the Old Testament and its characters. Rather, Laura takes on the symbol of humanity who has fallen into sin and a great deal of suffering. Whereas, Lizzie is the savior figure or Jesus esque character, who witnesses the sin and suffering of her sister (or humanity in this case) and decides to risk her life in order to save her. Therefore, Rossetti uses the relationship between Laura and Lizzie to allude to the relationship between humanity and Jesus; how one character saves the other from the grasp of death. Initially, Rossetti s allusion to the Bible depicts Laura as the symbol of a fallen humanity. In the beginning of the poem, Laura and Lizzie are on the same page, they both know that it is ill advised to eat the goblin men s fruit. In fact, Laura is more adamant about being strong willed against the goblin men s temptation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the book, Survivors Guilt by Aphrodite Matsakis, Ph. D, where Matsakis depicts what and why living with PTSD is unbearable. Matsakis explains that guilt is the root of PTSD. There is a never ending list of things to be guilty about after leaving a war, mainly; wishing you could get the health back of the injured, get back the lives that were taken and closure with soldiers you thought could have been saved. If the thoughts of these things could have closure and be let go, the survivor s guilt would be surrendered. Jay Gould Stock Manipulation Jason Jay Gould, a ruthless robber baron of the Industrial Revolution, is guilty of stock manipulation to grapple control with other wealthy industrialists, attempting to influence the government outside the boundaries of legal lobbying, and the attempted kidnapping of a foreign dignitary after legal means to his greed driven ends were expended. The accused was born on a farm in Roxbury, New York. After scamming his first employer, a blacksmith, into giving him half interest in the shop that he could sell to his father, he later entered into several business partnerships with other businessmen to get into the leather industry in Pennsylvania. Taking advantage of his former partners, he escalated quickly and began investing in railroad stock.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When he felt as though Gordon Gordon had swindled him in a business arrangement that they had come to terms on, Gould and his co conspirators kidnapped the man and tried to bring him across the border into the United States. Before these criminals reached the border, they were apprehended by mounted law enforcement who detained them on Canadian soil without bail for their crimes. Gould then used his political influence to free himself by having the governor of Minnesota threaten war with the Canadian government. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The patch antenna, microstrip transmission line and ground plane are made of high conductivity metal (typically copper). The patch is of length L, width W, and sitting on top of a substrate (some dielectric circuit board) of thickness h with permittivity. The thickness of the ground plane or of the microstrip is not critically important. Typically the height h is much smaller than the wavelength of operation, but not much smaller than 0.05 of a wavelength. • 49. Crime And Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay Criminality or criminal behaviour has long been the subject of great interest within psychology, captivating the interest of psychologists from all different perspectives (Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons, 2013). Due to this, there are many approaches to criminality and theories of criminal behaviour that have been supported by empirical evidence, which provide insightful, but different explanations of this psychologyphenomenon (Eysenck, 2013; Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons, 2013). In spite of this, there are criticisms and weaknesses to these approaches and theories as well as methodological limitations to the supporting research, which brings into question the reliability, validity and usefulness of these approaches in the explanation of criminality and criminal behaviour (Hollin, 2013; Putwain Sammons, 2013). As a consequence of this, this essay will critically discuss the phrase once a criminal, always a criminal in relation to the biological /evolutionary and psychoanalytic approaches as well as social learning theory, the social and cognitive approaches. The first approach that will be discussed in this essay is that of the biological/evolutionary approach that states that criminal behaviour is a consequence of evolutionary adaptions to the environment and a need to survive as well as reproduce, which is all based on sex and the gathering of resources, such as financial wealth (Buss, 2012; Quinsey, 2002). In other words, the biological/evolutionary approach ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
