If you are in college, you have more than likely had some kind of sex education in
your lifetime. But just how comprehensive has that education been for most young
adults in college? How much do college students really know or understand issues
dealing with sex, sexual orientation, gender identities and communication in
relationships? Through this study, I found people really have varying degrees of
knowledge, understanding, and opinions about these topics. Most college students
are perceived as uninformed about more complex situations involving sex,
sexuality and gender identity. Sure, a lot of them are sexually active, but they
never received a comprehensive lesson or talk regarding these topics that would
help them better navigate themselves and relationships. This class has given me an
extensive lesson about not just sex, but the Biology begins how individual identity,

The Day Of My Sixteenth Birthday
The day of my sixteenth birthday was boring and uneventful. Living with my Aunt
and Uncle in a farm on the outside of town, I was used to being friendless and
lonely, but waking up on my special day and realising everyone had forgotten was
and all time low.
Goodmorning, I said to my Aunt, walking into the kitchen. The only reply I received
was a slight grunt and the door banging closed as she headed out to the barn. After
getting ready for school, I packed my bag and started the walk to the bus stop. The
day was beautiful, no sign of the foretold hurricane that was expected and as I
whistled I couldn t help but think that today might be an actually pleasant day.
Man was I wrong, school was a disaster. I guess that when you forget about the
football game in the next town, which the whole school is attending you will be
the only one there that day. THe sign on the locked front doors stated that classes
would resume as usual on Monday. Great. My day just went from bad to worse.
The bus didn t even come until 3, if it was still running. Feeling completely alone
but not ready to give up just yet, I treated myself to a cheesy, store bought cake, if

I ve been wondering for years why every trash can doesn t have a recycle bin right
next to it.
On a recent trip to Germany to visit my brother, I was standing in his German
kitchen, with its small refrigerator and European design cabinets, looking at three
separate bins to dispose of household waste. He explained to me which waste goes
in which bin and expressed with great vigor that if the city s waste removal crew
found an appropriate things in a certain been they would simply leave the whole
been on the curb and the government also had very stiff fines in place for people
who didn t dispose of items properly. Wow, what a great system!
When we first started recycling waste from our homes some years ago we had to
separate glass, plastic, paper, aluminum, etc. I even had a compost in my backyard.
My family of five only created a small grocery sacks worth of trash to go in a landfill
every 2 to 3 days. I still announce this tidbit with pride whenever the subject of
recycling or waste comes up. And the town we lived in had a very poor curbside
recycling system so we stacked bins in our garage and every few weeks when we
drove the hour away to visit grandparents, who had a much more vigorous
recycling system in town, we would load all the recycling up in the back of our car
and put it in the appropriate bins. Today, my family of only two makes no more
waste than we used to.

Essay On Ball State University
Ball State University is a very reputable school with a lot of well thought out
policies. Since 1918, Ball State has maintained a well organized university, which
is impressive when you consider the large enrollment number. However, one policy
that Ball State could improve is the visitation policy. The current visitation policy is
generally one of the biggest criticisms with Ball State, and for good reason. The
current policy does not permit guests over in the dorms past midnight on
weeknights. The reason why the policy is a problem is because it hinders the
students academic experience, as it would deny study groups from meeting in a
dorm past midnight. A feasible solution that Ball State could employ would be to
extend the visitation policy to twenty four hour visitation, but increase the
consequences if hall rules are broken. This would be a more effective way of
teaching responsibility, as well as allowing students to gain more academic
independence.
The main problem with the policy is that not allowing guests after midnight could be
detrimental to study groups that want to work at later times. According to a survey
among first year students at Ball State, over half of the participants said that they
usually have to study past midnight on school nights (Survey). Due to the frequent
group projects that some college students have to do, this policy is an obstacle that

Last Monday, I got to experience a sensational performance by the University
Symphony, composed by Dr. Jonathan Pasternack, that enhanced my knowledge and
emotional state through the uniqueness of both the symphony and opera act.
Having only experienced a symphony once during the course of my life, I was
ecstatic to attend such a soothing and joyful concert. The concert was fairly short, it
last two hours, and consisted of 2 symphony songs and 1 opera act. The first two
were symphony, which were played in a very unpredictable manner. The melody
(violins) started off very slow and quickly increased their tempo. The orchestra
performed many instances of crescendo and decrescendos; this kept the audience on

The opera in one act was hilarious and made the orchestra a lot more entertaining to
listen to. It made the entire audience feel at ease because the opera was an act
accompanied by a consistently steady tempo from the orchestra: there wasn t a two

turned out a success. Both the symphony and opera act enhanced the audience with

case, Dr. Chilton takes credit for acquiring information from Dr. Lector, however it
was Starling who did all the work (Bozman et al., 1991). Dr. Chilton also described
Dr. Lector as a prized asset in terms of research, but it was said in a manner that
completely dehumanized Dr. Lector (Bozman et al., 1991). Dr. Chilton makes
unnecessary comments about Starling s appearance because she is a woman. When

for students with moderate to severe disabilities within the Inland Empire. Over the
past decade San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) has sustained
an influx of students who qualify for a moderate to severe special day classroom
(SDC) setting and special education services. Effectively educating youth with
moderate to severe disabilities is not a simplex task, as it requires multifaceted
skillsets involving various special education professionals. Developing and executing
a service delivery model that targets student s individual needs, while simultaneously
supporting students in strides towards life long goals is crucial. Carmack Elementary
is one of fifty two elementary schools within SBCUSD that only provides educational
services to students with moderate to severe disabilities grades kindergarten through
sixth. The community surrounding Carmack Elementary has been deemed high
poverty, indicating a vast majority of students who attend Carmack are presumed as
low income status. Lastly, a vast majority of students who attend Carmack
Elementary qualify for the free and reduced meal program offered through the district.
