Lyric Essay Examples
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Lyric Essay Examples" presents a unique set of challenges.
Firstly, the genre itself, the lyric essay, is known for its fluidity and hybrid nature, combining
elements of poetry and prose. This makes it inherently challenging to pin down a set structure or
format. The essay writer must navigate through the intricacies of this genre, understanding how
to seamlessly blend personal reflection, narrative, and poetic language.
Moreover, finding relevant examples to illustrate the characteristics of lyric essays can be a
daunting task. The genre is still evolving, and exemplary pieces might not be as widely available
as those of more established forms. This requires a thorough exploration of various literary
sources, both contemporary and historical, to unearth suitable illustrations that effectively convey
the essence of lyric essays.
Another difficulty lies in striking the right balance between creativity and coherence. Lyric
essays often invite writers to experiment with language and form, but this freedom can easily
lead to a lack of clarity or cohesion. Crafting a piece that is both artistic and intelligible to the
reader demands a delicate touch – a skill that comes with practice and an understanding of the
genre's nuances.
In addition, since lyric essays often delve into personal experiences and emotions, the writer
must navigate the fine line between introspection and self-indulgence. The challenge is to make
the essay relatable and engaging while avoiding the pitfalls of excessive subjectivity.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on "Lyric Essay Examples" demands a deep understanding of
the genre, extensive research to find suitable examples, and a careful balance between creativity
and coherence. It is a task that requires a writer to navigate the complexities of a genre that
defies traditional boundaries, making it a rewarding yet challenging endeavor.

The Temptations Social Influence On Pop Culture
The Tempting Temptations With classy dance moves, creative costumes, and smooth
vocals, the Temptations were a popular music group during the 1960s. The small
group from Detroit had a huge impact on modern society from addressing social
issues such as racial injustice, to revolutionizing rhythm and blues music. As a group
of five young men, the Temptationsbegan their careers in Motown music where they
became an influential quintet that changed the music and culture of the 1960s.
Members of the Temptations
Over time, members of the Temptations changed and evolved, with many diverse
musicians coming and going. Paul Williams, Otis Williams, David Ruffin, Melvin
Franklin, and Eddie Kendricks are considered to be the original members of the band,

In their early years, the Temptations were a polished live performance with original
dance moves and classic voices. Their dances were choreographed by Cholly
Atkins, an experienced choreographer. He perfected a style later called vocal
choreography ... Atkins had the raw material to make his routines more intricate
than ever. His system was demanding. Otis Williams later said that learning an
Atkins dance routine for a new act might take two or three weeks of rehearsing five
or six hours a day (Cox 37). This type of dancing became very popular with the
public and many consider it to be the Temptations
Meditation Write-Up
Meditation Write Up Initially, I was nervous to begin daily meditations because I had
tried to meditate before and I could never truly calm my mind from the thousands of
thoughts that would swirl around. However, after meditating for fifteen minutes daily
for a week, I can now say that I have become more comfortable with meditation, but
it was a challenging week. At many times, I felt uncomfortable sitting in silence
because my thoughts would constantly distract me from trying to focus on my
breathing. Yet, as the week progressed, I noticed that I became more comfortable
with the practice. Surprisingly, time passed very quickly when I meditated, it felt as
though it was roughly five minutes, when it was really fifteen minutes. As well, the
Who Is Michael Ondaatje s The English Patient
Michael Ondaatje is a renowned Canadian author and poet known for his eloquent,
lyrical style. His novel, The English Patient, published in 1992, serves as a
commentary on the complexity of human relationships and the significance of
national identities. The story is primarily set in Italy after World War II; however, it
is impregnated with flashbacks from Kip, Caravaggio and most importantly the
English patient. The flashbacks from the English patient, AlmГЎsy, are the most
significant because they shed light on his mysterious past. He neglects to tell the
other inhabitants of his past due to his hatred for ownership and nationalities. Much
of AlmГЎsy s non injured existence revolves around his desert expeditions and his
torrid love affair with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He longs to be free, and hates being tied down. AlmГЎsy was a member an
expedition that lasted from 1930 to the beginning of World War II. His expedition
explored the uncharted areas of northern Africa, observing the terrain and
constructing maps. AlmГЎsy appears to be somewhat of a free spirit, not plagued by
the looming threat of the war. He forsakes nationalism and refuses to be labelled.
However, when he meets Katharine, he turns over the possession of his soul to her.
Although he tells her that he hates ownership, he claims parts of her anatomy for his
own: This is my shoulder...not her husband s (156). This juxtaposition of
independency with dependency relates to European colonist attitudes. Throughout
history, Europeans have tried colonizing less developed countries for their own
benefit under the guise of the church. Being Hungarian, AlmГЎsy was likely
subjected to these ideals. Furthermore, AlmГЎsy claims that [a]ll [he] desired was to
walk upon such an earth that had no maps (261). This is ironic, as his job prior to the
war was to construct maps of the desert. Maps promote ownership and nationalities,
his two least favourite things. This statement, in spite of its nomadic sentiments,
cements his underlying devotion to
Habakkuk 13
In the Bible, in the book of Habakkuk verse 1:13, Your eyes are too pure to look on
evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than
themselves? ( Habakkuk 1:13 ). Habakkuk 1:13 is an all encompassing verse that
illustrates the tragic miss treatment of Japanese Christians throughout the sixteenth
and seventeenth century, which is the setting that Shusaku Endo is successfully
capturing. The novel starts with news that Father Ferreira has apostatized, and his
fellow priests are utterly devastated. Father Rodrigues and Father Garrpe, in an
attempt to find Ferreira and understand what happens for themselves, persuade Father

An older samurai tells the villagers to turn over any Christians in the village. If not,
three hostages will be needed to overturn the informants statement, and they will
all need to travel to Nagasaki the following day. Mokichi and Ichizo volunteer to
go, and Kichijiro is forcibly persuaded to go through guilt. Before they leave for
Nagasaki, Rodrigues advices the chosen to trample the fumie if they are faced with
that choice. Father Garrpe is shocked by Father Rodrigues s advice and lack of
hesitation to denounce one s faith, which illustrates the beginning of Father
Rodrigue s denial of his own faith. After Mokichi and Ichizo were brought back to
the village and tied to crosses to die by water punishment, Father Rodrigues questions
everything, What do I want to say? I myself do not quite understand. Only that today,
when for the glory of God Mokichi and Ichizo moaned, suffered, and died, I cannot
bear the monotonous sound of the dark sea gnawing at the shore. Behind the
depressing silence of the sea, the silence of God.... the feeling that while men raise
their voices in anguish God remains with folded arms, silent (Endo 61). This
exemplifies Father Rodrigues ignorance to his own silence, which explains his grief
and annoyance with Kichijiro,

A ZigBee Based Home Automation System
Khusvinder Gill, Shuang Hua Yang, Fang Yao, and Xin Lu
Abstract In recent years, the home environment has seen a
rapid introduction of network enabled digital technology. This technology offers new
and exciting opportunities to increase the connectivity of devices within the home for
the purpose of home automation. Moreover, with the rapid expansion of the Internet,
there is the added potential for the remote control and monitoring of such network
enabled devices. However, the adoption of home automation systems has been slow.
This paper identifies the reasons for this slow adoption and evaluates the potential of

Moreover the sharing of a single Bluetooth module between numerous devices has
the disadvantage of incurring an access delay. [4] introduced a phone based remote
controller for home and office automation. The system differs in that all
communications occur over a fixed telephone line and not over the Internet. The
system can be accessed using any telephone that supports dual tone multiple
frequency (DTMF). The disadvantages of this system are threefold: users are not
provided with a graphical user interface, users have to remember an access code, and
they have to remember which buttons to press for the control of connected devices.
[5] proposed a novel control network, using hand gestures. The controller uses a glove
to relay hand gestures to the system. The problem with the system lies in the
inaccuracy of hand gestures, with the potential for normal arm movements being
inaccurately interpreted as commands. Moreover, there is the risk of user fatigue if
repetitive hand gestures are required. The introduction provides a short review of the
existing academic research into home automation. The publically available research
into home automation lies predominantly in the academic arena, with little industrial
research being publically available. The adoption of home automation technologies
into commercial systems has been limited,
Diary Of Anne Frank Essay
Both ВЁThe Diary of Anne FrankВЁ and ВЁFreedom WritersВЁ illustrate the
point that the more time you spend with someone the more you get to know who
they really are. ВЁThe Freedom WritersВЁ tells the tale of a teacher that is hired
into a gang ridden school split and divided among the students. Mrs. Gruwell, the
teacher, has a class full of kids who do not care about school and have their own
problems out of school. Because of this Mrs. Gruwell feels the duty to help these
kids and try and distract them from what is happening at home. The way in which
Mrs. G does this is by giving each student a notebook to fill pages about what they
are feeling, She is able to look deeper past what she sees at school. What she finds
in each of her students is not what she saw in them the first day of school. After Mrs.

Anne was a Jewish girl during the Holocaust and, like many others, had to sacrifice
a lot in order to live. Anne and her family moved into a secret annex in order to stay
safe from the Nazis along with another family called the Van Pels. The Van Pels
have a son named Peter, who Anne is not the biggest fan of. As time goes by in the
secret annex and no sign of the war ending, a war zone in the annex starts up
between everyone. The only two people that are not on each others throats are Anne
and Peter. Anne would often go up to the attic of the annex where Peter stayed to
get away from the madness. As time went on, Anne realized that Peter was a nice
boy and not what she earlier perceived. Peter also realized that all the time in the
annex matured Anne from her old trouble making self. This relationship between
these two really made living in the annex not as miserable. If Anne and Peter had not
spent time with each other, they would have never gotten to know one another for

The Hardest Job That I Have Ever Had Changed My Life
The hardest job that I have ever had in my life that required a lot of my time and
effort, is raising my sons . I was and I still am a single mother of three boys, Tunji
(my oldest), Jaylon and Jaleel (my twins). This has and is a fulltime job, but I am
not going to speak about the present, only my past life of raising my three sons. I
have always worked but there was a time that I had to stop working in order to
focus on my twins. I knew from the age of 1 year old, something just wasn t quite
right with their behavior and cognitive development was lacking in a lot of areas.
For example; not talking, just babbling and pointing at objects, loud noises caused
them to shut down and cover their ears, lining up objects and any little disturbance
in their routine caused them to have a tantrum or screaming fit. It was so hard
trying to get answers from doctors, their favorite thing to say to me was it s a twin
thing they will grow out of it. This was the beginning of a long hard road. The
three most enjoyable things that I liked about this job is: Investigating, finding out
what was wrong with my sons? Why are they behaving in this manner? I was
relentless in finding out and I didn t stop until I received all the right answers. I
finally started getting answers, first I found out that they had a sleeping disorder, so
they was put on sleeping pills, my thought was YES, I will know get sleep! The
second diagnoses was ADHD, which explained the bouncing off the walls, floors
How To Raise Test Scores
In order to create new opportunities for students and raise test scores, Principal Dev
Patel and other faculty members have decided to separate the boys and girls at their
high school. Although many students oppose the decision, the principal has made the
right choice.
After observing a school in Florida, the faculty learned that separating the boys and
girls improved test scores immensely, and the scores are continuing to improve. Over
80% of students are now passing the tests now that they are learning in classrooms
with their own gender. The improvement in test scores and the learning environments
will benefit the students and help them succeed more in taking their tests.
With having the students separated, teachers will be able to teach each group in the
ways that they learn best. Boys tend to learn more through team competition and
academics while girls need positive reinforcement. Separating the students will help
them learn in ways that they understand and will help them work the ... Show more

Because boys tend to speak up and participate more often in classrooms, the girls
usually just observe and learn the lesson. Separating the students will help fix this
problem and allow girls to have a chance to participate and learn in ways that they are
comfortable with.
While much of the staff is excited to make the changes at their high school, the
students are not very pleased with the proposal. The majority of the student body does
not support the idea, and they believe they will not be able to see the opposite
gender. However, the students will be able to see each other during electives, passing
periods and lunch, so they will be able to interact with one another.
Although there is some controversy whether the boys and girls should be separated
at school, Principal Dev Patel is making a wise choice for the benefit of his school and

In September 1944, World War II was close to an end, and the German troops were
retiring from their conquered countries throughout Europe. The Netherlands was the
last country retained by the Nazis which around this time was stricken by the Allied
Forces, to which the exiled Dutch government responded with a railway strike. The
intents of the Allied Forces with the help of the strike were futile, which gave the
German government the opportunity to order a food embargo to the Netherlands as
a lesson for their disobedience. The embargo coincided with a cruel winter which
rendered poor crops starting a season of famine in the region. The daily calorie

By the time these people reached their 50 s researchers focused on cardiovascular and
physiological functions, they found high levels of obesity, cholesterol and type II

that switch part of the genome at specific locations and time, and what factors
influence them. A cell has a sum of signals that help on stabilizing the gene expression
; these are epigenetics tags that are accumulated through cell development. While for
decades scientists thought the new embryo s epigenome was made from scratch it is
now know that parents epigenetic tags play an important role in the life of the new
creature. Most of the epigenetic tags are erased during the process of development in
a process called reprogramming leaving the majority of the cell in a blank state
though a few genes make it through the process without successful removal of the
tags. The study greatly helped in understanding the mechanism of nutrition and
epigenetic inheritance to the child while in the womb. It has been shown through
animal studies that a methyl rich diet of the mother gives a progeny with a highly
methylated DNA. Specifically, studies in mice have shown that diet affects the
Agouti gene (present in all mammals) when the gene is not methylated the mice
shows a yellow coat, a fatter complexion and is likely to develop diabetes and cancer.

Political Systems in Ancient China
Political Systems in Ancient China. Politic has always been defined as a pivotal
point to human development, especially in structuring a civilization and nation.
According to Wikipedia, the term politic was derived from the Greek word
politikos , which means the theory and practice of influencing other people on many
levels, or in other words, an exercise of governance over a community (Wikipedia).
Politic is unique in all places: different country and state may have different types of
ruling system that is exercised with some other part of the world. Politic is like an
assimilation of all ruling system across the world, the uniqueness of a political system
is influenced by the other political system as well. In human system, this political
system, and political change throughout the different era, is crucial in reshaping
human development for the better. Chinain the ancient era was highly sought for its
power inculcated across the globe. China is one of the oldest civilizations said to
exist in the world, and even up to now is still highly acknowledged as one of the
most biggest political influence in the world. During this ancient era, China was
ruled by a system known as dynasty, or ruling families for over a long period. As it
was governed by the ruling of dynasties, China was ruled by a leader known as
Emperor in different dynasties throughout the centuries. It was during this period that
the political unity and disunity were seen throughout, parallel with the

Many students expressed the desire for study groups and more office hours.
Currently, the teacher is holding office hours whenever possible, and although
that is limited by the teachers availability, the formation of a study group is not. A
school sponsored study group can be extremely beneficial for students who may
otherwise feel awkward asking a classmate they just met if they would like to
study together. One student stated, Most of what BHS would probably try to offer,
most kids seek out on their own. It would be nice to set up a peer study group at a
set location on days when teacher is not available if only for the students who don
t have friends they feel they can rely on. That way no one feels excluded when it
comes to studying, and those who typically cannot rely on teacher or friends have
somewhere to go. From my own experience, all of my advanced courses in high
schoolwere filled with at least a few of my friends (perks of going to a smaller
school), so finding help was not a huge issue. However, in college, study groups
became my life outside the classroom. Last semester, I spent eight hours a week in
study groups, and without them, I would have probably had to take a few courses
again. Study groups give direction and structure to studying that one may otherwise
not have on his or her own. One high achieving student mentioned that her primary
resource is about 4 5 close friends with whom she formed a study group. Even a
study workshop can guide students in
What Great Teacher Do Differently Analysis
Todd Whitaker presents seventeen different practices in his book called What
Great Teacher Do Differently that argue both the practices of good and great
teachers. Good teachers and great teachers may possess similar skills,
certifications, content knowledge, and behaviors but great teachers put their
variety of skill sets, abilities to accurately self reflect, and adaptability in order to
become effective teachers. Whitaker emphasizes the importance of teachers who
know how they come across to people, how others receive their behavior, and the
ways in which they are able to reflect on their self awareness as one of the key
components between good verses great teachers. I believe a teachers ability to both

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Histogram Equalization
Contrast Enhancement:
3.3.1 Histogram equalization
This method usually increases the global contrast of many images, especially when
the usable data of the image is represented by close contrast values. Through this
adjustment, the intensities can be better distributed on the histogram. This allows for
areas of lower local contrast to gain a higher contrast. Histogram equalization
accomplishes this by effectively spreading out the most frequent intensity values.
The method is useful in images with backgrounds and foregrounds that are both
bright or both dark. In particular, the method can lead to better views of bone
structure in x ray images, and to better detail in photographs that are over or under
exposed. A key advantage of the method is that it is a fairly straightforward technique
and an invertible operator. So in theory, if the histogram equalization function is
known, then the original histogram can be recovered. The calculation is not
computationally intensive. A disadvantage of the method is that it is indiscriminate.
It may increase the contrast of background noise, while decreasing the usable signal.
In scientific imaging where spatial correlation is more important than intensity of
signal (such as separating DNA fragments of quantized length), the small signal to
noise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also histogram equalization can produce undesirable effects (like visible image
gradient) when applied to images with low color depth. For example, if applied to
8 bit image displayed with 8 bit gray scale palette it will further reduce color depth
(number of unique shades of gray) of the image. Histogram equalization will work
the best when applied to images with much higher color depth than palette size, like
continuous data or 16 bit gray scale
Import And Local Production Of Cement Importation
Source: CMAN In spite of the local production, cement importation has been high
over the years because of the out dated manufacturing technology, high interest rates
and exchange rate fluctuations. These factors have contributed to the manufacturing
overhead both in terms of the high cost of raw materials and other inputs in the
manufacturing and distribution process. Also, the easy access and low cost of
acquiring an import license in comparison with difficulty in import license acquisition
for manufacturing equipment spare parts also discouraged local manufacturing
(Mojekwu, Idowu, Sode, 2013). See table below for the import and local

The Results of Raising the Dropout Age
Obtaining an education is essential in today s society. Most students who attend
school on a regular basis usually succeed in life. On the other hand, many students
fail to attend school every day which can lead to problems in schools. However, some
students have acceptable reasons for dropping out. As a result, a student s punctuality
can ultimately alter his or her education. On that note, dropping out of high school
can affect an individual in many ways throughout the years. Schools are facing
challenges dealing with high dropout rates, high rates of truancy, and low graduation
rates because students are failing to attend school.
To begin with, dropping out of high school has caused a negative uprise leading to
high dropout rates. There are several effects of dropping out of school. Many students
have difficult experiences during their early lives. High school dropouts are more
likely to be from households where parents do not help their children with school.
Some students feel there is disconnect between themselves, their parents, and their
teacher; therefore, they end up dropping out of school. However, if parents and
teachers communicate with students, there is a higher chance that the students will
graduate and succeed. Many adults, who dropped out of school, regret dropping out.

Building A Montessori Trade School Essay
I have been super interested in Africa since I was a young child. I used to watch the
National Geographic channel and documentaries more than cartoon network or the
Disney channel starting at around the age of six years old. I believe this greatly
contributed to my fascination for the cradle of civilization and indigenous societies.
Hopefully one day I plan to build a Montessori trade school somewhere in Africa
teaching aquaponics, organic farming, coding, CAD and other specialized trades.

Middle East Bagpipes Research Paper
The piper stands at attention as he plays his solemn, melancholy tune on the gently
rolling meadows of Scotland. He remembers those who have fallen at his side on
the battlefield and honors them with his song. The cold, bitter wind licks at his
face, but he continues playing in honor of his friends. He chokes back tears as he
plays and a single tear runs down his cheek, but he regains himself as to not mess up
his beautiful tune. The last time he played here was as he was running into battle
with his comrades, but that tune was much different. That tune was mighty and
fierce, as to inspire and empower his comrades and to strike fear in the hearts of his
enemies. The bagpipesare not just specific to Scotland, however. Many people believe

In reality, they originated in the Middle East. Middle Eastern bagpipes date all the
way back to around 1,000 B.C. (Worrall and White). The bagpipes would not be
introduced to Europe for thousands of years afterwards. The early Middle Eastern
bagpipes were originally made from hollow reeds, corn stalks, bamboo, etc. The
bagpipes slowly began spreading to other areas of the world. As the bagpipes
spread to other areas, they were modified to accommodate the region and its
resources. These modifications are the reasons that there are presently many
different kinds of bagpipes. Some different kinds of bagpipes include the Zukra,
which is played in some places in North Africa, the Zumarah, which is played in
Egypt, the Moshug, which is played in India, the Gaita, which is played in
Portugal and Spain, the Zampogna, which is played in Italy, the Cornemuse, which

The Problem Of The Subprime Crisis

the world economies have ever seen. Known as The Great Recession, the period of
falling employment, spending, saving and rising interest rates, officially lasted from

years after, and are still being resolved and learned from today. Normally, the housing

the few forms of spending almost exclusively domestic. Also, housing leads to a spur
of other jobs including raw material distribution, construction, contracting, and real
estate. The subprime mortgagecrisis is argued to be the cause of the Great Recession
and one of the main inhibitors of finding a solution quickly. What caused the
subprime crisis, and why was it so detrimental even on a world scale? There are
many hypotheses, some are proven through economic law and some are ideas
based off of human nature. The Subprime Crisis is known as the fall of the housing
market resulting in a record number of foreclosures and families declaring
bankruptcy. This was a direct result of banks being able to produce money too
quickly. Due to an influx of loans and high interest rates, banks were able to create
enough money for mortgage loans for people with weak credit, a subprime mortgage.
If interest rates remained at the current price and the value of the housing market
remained high,
Violence and Its Forms
Violence was, and remains today, a versatile concept in theatre. Violence is
something we desire to see as an audience, yet simultaneously a majority of people
would never commit the atrocities found in Macbeth. There exists a thin line between
acceptable violence and violence that turns an audience away from sympathizing with
a character. In this essay we will evaluate the differences between the various forms of
violence found within Macbeth, and analyze why the audience can accept some acts
of violence, while deeming others inhumane. The clearest breeds of violence found
in the play are; war violence, law breaking violence, sociopathic violence, and
descriptive violence. Shakespeare places these different forms of violence... Show

And even now,
To crown my thoughts with acts, be it thought and done:
The castle of Macduff I will surprise,
Seize upon Fife, give to th edge o th sword
His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls
That trace him in his line. No boasting like a fool.
(IV.i.1726 1733)
Macbeth addresses the difference between fantasy and actuality. Shakespeare may
have been suggesting that it is a human element to have demons for daydreams and
that it is part of the human consciousness to fantasize horrible acts such as murdering
for power, but that it is only unheavenly violence when these thoughts are acted upon.
War violence is the most publically accepted form of violence. Macbeth is
introduced as a courageous man because he was able to win the war for the Scottish.
For brave Macbeth well he deserves that name
Disdaining fortune, with his brandish d steel,
Which smoked with bloody execution,
Like valour s minion carved out his passage
Till he faced the slave;
Which ne er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him,
Till he unseam d him from the nave to the chaps,
And fix d his head upon our battlements.
(I.ii.35 42)
The play Macbeth is introduced with violence, but unlike the violence that follows
this battle, the future gore is unacceptable. Macbeth is explained to have cut a man
from his navel to his jaw, and then place his head on a castle wall. As violent as this
is, it is the only act Macbeth does in the entire play that is noble. The opening
Hinduism And The Indian Culture
After reading the article, I think rituals have some basic structures of meaning, and
there are number of ways to show that rituals are meaningful. In the following thesis I
choose Hinduism as an example to show how rituals are meaningful, how it relates to
the living context of the Indian people, how the Indians enact the Hindurituals, and so
on.
India is a country full of mysteries and differences. It has a long history, a profound
yet unique culture, with diversified nationalities, races, religions, languages and a
huge population. The pursuit of secularism and inveteracy of sectarianism have
brought huge influence to the Indian society. As the mainstream culture in India,
Hinduism plays an important role in the Indian society and has dominated almost
2000 years of its history. Although in the following years since, the Indian culture
gradually becomes a combination of different races, religions and languages,
Hinduism still remains to be the key to dig into the development of the culture and
society of India.
First, the Hindu s worship of the imperishability of gods is the spiritual power for the
Indians faith and persistence in overcoming difficulties and obstacles in the long
history of development.
There are numerous gods in Hinduism, in which the most important ones including
the Creator Brahma, the Preserver Vishnu and the Destroyer Siva. Brahma created the
earth, the mortal world and the heaven, Vishnu safeguards the world and preserves

probably an even greater revelation because most of these mono mixes have never
been heard before on CD and some of them have actually never been released in
any format before (not even vinyl LP!) This box set does not include Yellow

mixed in stereo. These original mono mixes are how many purists believe these
songs were meant to be heard. And they have a good point! Those mono mixes
were the ones that the band themselves worked on. The stereo mixes were merely
an afterthought in comparison. Another thing that may make this box set a great

Tawfik s Collective Information Analysis
As the world evolves continuously, innovations such as technology will always
increase and improve. The arising issue that still ascends is whether or not
technology is beneficial towards society. Technology is an important aspect of daily
life because of the role it plays among many individuals worldwide. There are many
different viewpoints in which technologycan be looked towards at, such as the actual
products and devices itself. Yet, one of the most important factors is how these
technical objects affect an individual. It is also important to understand the initial
purpose for the creation of technology. Conferring to a professor from the History of

Technology has its positives such as sharing data along with providing information to

Technology has great innovation and intentions but, due to excessive use, cannot be
beneficial towards society. The solutions that have been provided for the
following two lenses are possible advancements that may occur in the process of
making technology a more beneficial and positive aspect rather than it being
negative. Another problem that is usually brought up is towards the fact about
money and how it will be issued for these solutions to work. Money can still be
supported from the government and organizations on behalf of a small portion.
Still, for immediate effect to occur; minor donations that would be made by
society will also make a vast impact towards new technological advances. Yes, it is
true that technology is not all bad because it has provided healthcare, travel, and
accessibility of information. However, the end result is usually not beneficial
towards society due to the procedure of it being used. More technological devices
such as the new Tesla car, medical enhancements, and 3D Printing are all wonderful

are positive outcomes, but sometimes are still used in a negative affect and still have

Jabhat Al-Nusra Research Paper
Jabhat al Nusra (Syrian Partisan Front), or Jabhat Fatah al Sham (Conquest by the
Syrian Front): a moderate terrorist organization that opposes the Syrian government,
with the possibility of becoming Syria s long term Sunni Salafist terrorist
organization.
For the Secretary of Defense, Jabhat al Nusra, led by Abu Muhammad al Julani, is a
significant foreign military and ideological threat. Its long term objective is
implementing an Islamic Caliphate, and 29 al Nusra factions have signed a petition
condemning the United States for naming it a terrorist organization. It is an offspring
of Al Qaeda, trained in their methods and provided with their resources. It is vastly
different from ISIS and potentially more dangerous considering its methodology. It is
sophisticated, intelligent, patient, and insidious, utilizing a bottom up growth
method. It is winning the hearts of the Syrian people and rebels by seeming to be
more humanitarian than ISIS, and claiming its supporters at their most vulnerable
times. By not revealing its parent tie at first, it was able to immediately gain support
of Syrian rebels, and now claims it has split from Al Qaeda entirely. Ayman Zawahiri,

Cyrus And The Babylonian Of The Persian Empire
Cyrus II, more commonly referred to, as Cyrus the Great was the founder of the
Persian Empire. Cyrus is renowned for being one of the greatest historical
conquerors, who in two decades (550 530) conquered all the major empires of the
near east, including Media, Lydia and the Neo Babylonian kingdoms; all these
cities united created the largest empire the world had seen to that time . However
in many ancient texts, such as the works of Xenophon, a number of sacred Jewish
texts and the Babylonian peoples, Cyrus was often described as a liberator as
apposed to a conqueror . From a number of ancient written sources, including the
Cyropaedia, Cyrus is depicted as a very tolerant and generous ruler, this attribute was

This source is very different from Herodotus version, which claims that Cyrus only
became king after he defeated Astyages in 550/549 BCE; this version is also
reiterated in Xenophon s Cyropaedia . The details of Cyrus origin story are widely
debated, however, the Cyrus Cylinder and ancient cuneiform texts remain as the most
reliable sources that say Cyrus inherited the position of king of Anash, under Median
rule, from his father and predecessor .
In c.550 BCE a battle broke out between the Persians, led by Cyrus the Great and the
Median Empire led by their king, Astyages . Although different ancient sources argue
which of the two started the conflict, the outcome is mutually agreed upon. Ancient
Greek historian, Herodotus claims that prior to the rise of the Persian Empire the
Medes ruled the Persian peoples. Until Cyrus persuaded the Persians to revolt and
march against the Medes , after learning of this Astyages ordered his armies to
capture Cyrus; but instead his armies revolted against him and after his defeat in the
battle, Astyages was captured by the Persian Empire . This version of events is

Emotional Analysis Of Davis Guggenheim s Waiting For...
Music is literally everywhere! Whether it be rocking out to your favorite song
blasting through the car radio, soft melodies from the speakers lightly filling the
business of the grocery store, or the latest tune in the back of your head while trying
to recall how to decipher a logarithmic function on the Calculus exam, there is no
escape. The musicimplemented in motion pictures is the psychological connection
between the implications the director wants the audienceto learn and the essence of
the emotional impact the audience should feel after viewing it, whether it be total
distraught or anticipation for what will happen in the next scene. Pace of both the
visual content and music highlight what the audience should feel while analyzing the
message the director is getting across to the audience. In his documentary, Waiting for
Superman, the film director Davis Guggenheimimplements a melodramatic
soundtrack and fluctuating pace to intensify the sentiment the audience should
perceive while watching the heartbreaking details and brief, yet crucial, optimistic
moments unfold. Moreover, the two attributes that audiences pay the least attention
to could be the most influential aspects of the film. Notably, music has a substantial
emotional effect on anybody who is in hearing range of the melody. While distracted
with the main plot and how the emotional content is affecting them, they have
minimum consciousness of the thematic musical content. Without the music in the
Jackie Kennedy Character Analysis
The 5 traits of personality consists of openness, conscientiousness, extraversion,
agreeableness, and neuroticism. The 5 trait model began from the research of D.
W. Fiske and was expanded even more by other researchers as well. This Big Five
trait model is important due to the fact that it gives human path and logic of what
makes up a person s character trait, personality, and much more. The answer to
finding what makes an ethical leader is the fact that most of them contain all of the
Big Five traits. Many studies and different analyses have studied and research why an
ethical leader needs the Big Five traits and why it is effective through leadership
(Kalshoven, Hartog, Hoogh 350). One person that was known as an ethical leader and
exemplified openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and
neuroticism is Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Through John F. Kennedys campaign and
presidency, Jackie Kennedy was known to stay above all of it by balancing family
life, first lady duties, politics, and many more (Kellerman 306). The Kennedy family
had the reputation of absolute elitist in our American society. Jackie and John F.
Kennedyhad married at a younger age while he was starting off his political career.
Whenever Jackie became First Lady of the U.S. her charm of being unique, graceful,
charming, and intelligence was even more attractive to the American eye (

personality traits. But
Blood Test
If a simple blood test could accurately diagnose a blood concussion, researchers
hope that it will one day be used on the field with trainers, coaches and parents for
developing a plan of action. According to the Centers for Disease control and
prevention, analysts estimate that around 1,000,000 children have to be treated in
hospitals for traumatic brain injury because of playing sports. Right now, they
diagnose concussions based on the symptoms of one. For example, they might have
blurred vision, feel groggy, a headache, a balancing problem or vomiting.
Nevertheless, the problem is that it does not allow for doctors to diagnose the
severity of a brain injury accurately. Giving a child a computed tomography scan can

Linda Papa said that while we can conduct many blood tests for other parts of the
body such as the kidneys, the heart and the liver, we have never found a reliable
blood test for TBIs. With this new system, everything could be changed. People
could be tested on the field instead of having to visit the doctor, and with its 94
percent accuracy, it makes sense to use it. When Papa and her medical team
conducted CT scans on 152 children and compared the results to a blood test, they
learned that the blood test could still accurately identify the areas that a patient
had experienced a TBI. In addition, blood testing also gave doctors an idea about
the severity of the person s TBI. Despite these findings, the study did have its
limitations. For example, researchers still need to test the results on a larger group
of children to be certain. Should researchers uncover a method of taking the guess
work out of diagnosis s, it would revolutionize the manner that we test for
concussions on the game field. However, researchers want to continue with the
studies on this new technology to make sure that it works. After they have
discovered the results on a larger scale, they suspect that blood testing for
concussions will be available over the next five year
Post Bariatric Surgery
When reviewing the literature found during research on the Lewis J. Ort library
database, bariatric surgery, when conducted on adolescents and children resulted in
effective early weight loss for morbidly obese adolescents, and that this weight loss
results in clear improvements to metabolic as well as psychosocial outcomes
(Stefater, Jenkins, Inge, 2012). Post bariatric outcomes are also quite similar to those
of adults who have the same surgery with Roux en Y gastric bypass producing the
greatest weight loss with the most robust evidence base (Black, White, Viner,

expenditures for obese individuals. However, like any surgical intervention, bariatric
surgery poses some risks in addition to these advantages (Stefater, Jenkins, Inge,

surgery patients (Penna, Markar, Hewes, Fiennes, Jones, Hashemi, 2013). This is
concerning given that these patients may be at high risk for negative consequences

In the case of an obligatio faciendi, positive malperformance occurs when the debtor
delivers an improper or incorrect performance. Example you have paid for a certain
DVD machine and on receiving it, it is not functioning as was promised.
4. Repudiation
It differs from making performance impossible. Repudiation creates relative certainty
that eventual performance will be absent or defective, (we are almost sure that
performance will be absent), while making performance impossible creates absolute
certainty that this will happen. In other words repudiation means turning one`s back
on an agreement.
5. Prevention of performance (rendering performance impossible).
Making performance impossible. It s the conduct by either a creditor or a debtor
which makes the delivery of his own or the other party`s performance impossible.
This can happen at any time before performance takes place, even after the date
when performance has become due. Because it takes place before performance, it is
also a form of anticipatory breach.
Legal remedies for breach of contract.
One of the parties to the contract is in breach; the other party (the victim or the
aggrieved party) is entitled to a contractual remedy or remedies. When a breach of
contract occurs the innocent party basically has two options: Either to opt for the
fulfilment of the contract or

The evolution of women s rights have came so far and will continue to develop and

have today and we continue to fight, protest, and boycott for full equality.
Throughout these rough years of progressing and evolving, women as a whole have
come closer together than ever. We put our ideas and dreams together, march to fight

Lamp of Experience
On May 23, 1775, Patrick Henry deliver his infamous speech to the Second Virginia
Convention to implore the American people to join him in the struggle for
independence. In it, Henry addresses the conventions president, Peyton Randolph and
the American people and calls them to fight and raise arms against the British. He
delivers his speech with a fiery passion as he implores the American people to join
him in the inevitable battle, while using rhetorical appeals, figurative language,
allusions, rhetorical questions, and repetition to persuade the people that there is no
other option other than to rise up and fight against the British.
Patrick Henry begins his speech by addressing Mr. President, Peyton Randolph, along
with the worthy gentlemen before him, and by declaring that no man thinks more
highly than I do of the patriotism... of the very worthy gentlemen who have addressed
the House. By doing this, he is implying that they are all politically united since they
are all patriots who want the best for their country, while also demonstrating that he
highly respects the authority in the room. It also allows him to gain their respect in
return and to get them to listen to him what he has to say. Similarly, he is also able to
achieve this through the repetition of the word sir throughout his speech. After
gaining their respect in return, Henry attempts to respectfully
Mental Illness In Mental Health
The courts of New South Wales have responded to the issue of individuals suffering
from mental illness under the Mental Health (Forensic Provisions Act) 1990 (NSW)
by setting out different courts control and maintain criminal proceedings in cases
where the defendant is defined to have a mental illness and also facades mental
illness to be a legal defence in criminal related cases, as well as with forensic and
correctional patients. Forensic patients are defined as an individual who is confined
in an institution or released from custody prone to decisions whereas, a correctional
patient is an individual currently on demand or serving a term of imprisonment who
is transferred to an institution. An example in relation to court processes being where
the District and Supreme courts have the authority to decide if the accused is not
guilty due to mental illness or not fit to plead. Though the concern being if the
question as to whether their mental disorder even makes them unfit to stand trial or
not guilty by reason of mental illness , has been raised, the courts may attribute them
to the Mental healthReview Tribunal. Whereas the Local Court in New South Wales
does not deal with individuals in criminal cases who are not fit to plead however the
magistrate can deal with an individual who is mentally ill by releasing the defendant
or referring them to a psychiatric unit with the recommendations from health care
professionals.

The Characteristics Of Jesus Christ And The Counseling
World
The world is full of counselors, therapists, psychologist, and many more mental help
specialists but what can be difficult is attempting to discover what makes a counselor
great. It can be agreed upon that some of the characteristics that make up a great
counselor include, but are not limited to: empathy, compassion, being nonjudgmental,
trust, confidentiality, and commitment. These are all traits of JesusChrist who is
referred to as the Great Counselor. It has taken the mental health industry decades to
even begin to reach the place Jesus reached in His three years of ministry. By
comparing Jesus and the counselingworld one can see why Jesus is referred to as the
Great Counselor and where the counseling world does well in helping individuals
but still falls short. Throughout the Bible we hear Jesus refered to as the Great
Counselor, that He is the Messiah, the Great Healer. The Bible does not merely
claim this but later shows the statements to be true during Jesus ministry. While
Jesus was alive on this earth He was criticized for who He chose to spend time with
tax collectors and sinners, the rejects of the society and although Jesus was seen as
above them He did not judge them. Instead He says to the Phariseesquestioning Him

used to help to avoid to risk and reduce the losses that we may have but can t forecast.
( Bank Regulatory Capital Quick Reference , 2016). The figure of the financial capital
is directly set by the financial regulators. The balance sheet capital is the equity part
that we recorded on the balance sheet. The regulatory capital is like a standard that all
the financial institutions have to achieve. The financial institutions must maintain
their capital amount over the minimum amount that the financial regulator required
(Elizalde Repullo, n.d.). However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1988, the Basel I was published by the BCBS. It is a new method to the measure
the capital and also it focused on the credit risk and appropriate risk weighting of
assets (International convergence of capital measurement and capital standards,
1988). Under the concept of the risk weighted asset, the regulators can include the
riskiness of the bank s activities into the calculations of the capital adequacy (Lange,
Saunders Millon Cornett, 2015).
The core requirement of the Basel I were 2 capital ratios: a minimum 4% for the
tier 1 capital ratio and the Total capital ratio for 8% (Lange, Saunders Millon
Cornett, 2015). The tier 1 capital Ratio can be calculated by the (common equity
goodwill) / Risk weighted assets (RWA) and the Total capital ratio can be calculated
by Total regulatory capital / Total risk adjusted assets.
Basel II
In Basel II, it improved the measurement of the risk weighted assets. It includes the
market risk, the operational issues and the risks caused by the emergencies like the
terrorisms or natural disasters (Lange, Saunders Millon Cornett, 2015). The Basel II
is more detailed than the Basel I. In the Basel II, it creates a new frame, the Three
pillar frame. The pillar 1 is the Minimum Capital Requirements. It is to maintain the
regulatory capital of the FI by calculating the 3 main risks, the credit risk, market
Reasons For The Fall Of Rasputin
In 1917, the Russian Empire collapsed after a long reign of almost 300 years. The
effects of World War I are said to have been the reason for the collapse of the once
powerful dynasty. However, was Gregori Rasputin the primary reason for the fall?
The question that was once whispered on thousands of Russians lips is still asked
today. Who was Rasputin? Gregori Rasputin was a Siberian peasant who not only
intrigued everyone by his bushy beard and piercing cold blue eyes, but by his
mystic holy powers he claimed to have. He believed that God had given him a gift
for healing as during his childhood, he almost died. Despite these claims, at a young
age Rasputin had already acquired a reputation for debauchery and his birth name
was changed from Grigori Yefimovich Novykh to Gregori Yefmovich Rasputin.
Rasputin meaning debauched one in Russian. However, Rasputin went through a
religious conversion at the age of 18 as he embraced the Khlysty sect. Rasputin was
happy with this sect as it preached that prolonged sexual engagements were the best
way to achieve the closest relationship with God. But how did a sexually
promiscuous peasant end up in the extremely powerful Russian government? After
marrying at age 19 and having 4... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But what was it that the citizens of Russia despised so much about Rasputin?
Rasputin was viewed by many as a puppet master that controlled the Tsar and
Tsarina. This image of Rasputin was widely used by the political opponents of the
Tsar s to show his lack of authority and his wife s incompetence. The staunchest
supports of Tsardom even found it hard to defend a system which allowed their
country, that was in its greatest trial, to be under the control of a debauched monk .
People merely saw Rasputin as a man who brought scandal to the royal family, made
Tsar Nicholas break his own October Manifesto and influence important decisions in

Descriptive Essay About A Date
So here I am getting ready for a date for tonight, met this lady online and going to
meet her for the first time in person. Excited and nervous at the same time. So, we
set up a day and time to meet at this restaurant around 7pm. I get out of the shower
and get dressed, my usual jeans and a nice shirt and I get a call from her. She needs
a ride her car won t start no problem. I get over to her house to pick her up and it is
nice on the outside, two car garage with a nice grassy front yard and front porch.
Knock on the door and her daughter answers the door and shows me to the living
room to wait for her mother. Her daughter not very talkative which I do understand
because she doesn t know me and probably has not heard of me until today from
her mother. It looked like she was going out tonight as well. Shelly then came out
wearing a sexy multi color sundress that contours her body. She came out and I
kissed her on the cheek and placed my hands on her waist and felt her shiver. She
walks around looking for shoes while she is talking, just small talk back and forth.
She introduced her daughter to me and her name is Sarah, and she was wearing
tight jean shorts with a tight shirt going out with her girlfriends. Her daughter
leaves and Shelly is finishing up getting makeup on and we are still doing small
talk. I m leaning up against her bedroom door while she is in her bathroom and
talking she walks out and we make eye contact and then she gets nervous. No need to
be nervous,
Planetary Migration
Even today, scientists understand very little about the formation of Uranus and
Neptune. This made scientists have stated that, ...the possibilities concerning the
formation of Uranus and Neptune are almost endless. However, it has been suggested
that this planetary system evolved in a very non conventional manner, as described in
the following lines. Planetesimals at the disk s inner edge occasionally passed
through gravitational encounters with the outermost giant planet, which calter the
planetesimals orbits. The planets scattered inwards the most of the small icy bodies
that they encountered, exchanging angular momentum with the scattered objects so
that the planets move outwards in response, preserving the angular momentum of the
system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After several hundreds of millions of years of slow, gradual migration, Jupiter and
Saturn, the two inmost giant planets, crossed their mutual 1:2 mean motion
resonance of orbital motion. This resonance increased their orbital eccentricities to
such an extent, that it destabilized the entire planetary system. The arrangement of
the giant planets altered quickly and very radically. Jupiter shifted Saturn out towards
its present position, and this relocation caused mutual gravitational encounters
between Saturn and the two ice giants, which subsequently propelled the planets
Neptune and Uranus onto much more eccentric orbits. These ice giants then
ploughed into the planetesimal disk, scattering tens of thousands of planetesimals
from their formerly stable orbits in the outer Solar System. This disruption almost
entirely scatters the primordial disk, removing almost 99% of its mass, a scenario
which explains the modern day absence of a dense trans Neptunian population. Some
of the planetesimals were thrown into the inner Solar System, producing a sudden
influx of impacts on the terrestrial planets: yes! It is the Late Heavy
Sophocles Greek Tragedy And The Chorus
Sophocles Greek tragedy, Oedipus Rex, has a voice beyond the main characters.
The chorus plays a major roll in this tragedy. In Greek plays, there were a select few
main characters and the chorus was the rest of the cast. (INSERT). To completely
understand the tragedy, it is important for the read to read the whole play including
the chorus. The chorus is valuable to the play with their knowledge and cultural
awareness of the time. Not only did the chorus provide extensive context, but also
their other main job was to verbally judge the main characters actions and moral
decisions. The chorus provides the audience with new perspectives on the tragedy and
the characters themselves.
In Oedipus Rex, the chorus was composed of Thebans. At the start of the tragedy, the
chorus main job was to provide the audience with the circumstances that surround the
beginning of the play. The chorus provided information about the widespread
destruction that has happened to the protagonist. For Oedipus, he is on a path to self
discovery and the chorus has to constantly remind him to remain calm when tried to
find who murdered Laius. Sophocles chorus foreshadows and provides the main
characters with crucial information that will help in the future. The chorus was
composed of wise, old citizens. The chorus also warns and suggests to the audience
what could potentially be happening later in the play. With the cultural awareness, the
chorus demands Oedipus
to not kill Creon. This is extremely
Baby Boomer Culture
Bristow offers a cultural analysis of Baby Boomer mass media cultural scripts. This
British study identifies an emerging conflict model between Baby Boomer generation
cohorts and subsequent age segments. An analysis of media materials from 1986 to
2011 categorizes the cultural scripting associated with Baby Boomers during the
period. It notes the recent change towards negative scripting characterizing the Baby
Boom as a problem. It concludes that the overt conflict orientation of cultural scripts
like Boomergeddon are politically motivated devices, and ambiguously generalized.

Data is cited showing that, in an aging population, individuals rely on state support in
their retirement years. Suggested policies include financial literacy programs,
delayed retirement, automated personal saving, and financial advisory reform.
Nishiyama et al. (2014) proposes that a key problem regarding personal savings,
assets, and retirement are the very state funded programs designed to help retirees.
The research concludes that median income levels among the Boomer generation will
not be able to support it s level of consumption based on it s own assets (Nishiyama et
al. p. 65) in the retirement years. In conclusion, this study asserts that the financial
education and reflexive retirement delay components provide the most broad and
effective measures to mitigate budget shortfalls in an aging
The Drilling For Offshore Drilling
IS MAKING OIL DEALS WORTH THE SPILLS It seems today that everything
comes with a promise or a benefit. Often as humans we have to make the choice
whether we want to be more self reliance or have a safer environment. That brings
us to the subject of offshore drilling in regards to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
Offshore drilling is the process of drilling for oil offshore in places such oceans or
sea beds through an oil rig. Sound like something non complex. Many would
assume that offshore drilling could not have very much effect in regards to
onshore. The most politically correct way for a person to decide where they stand
on this issues is to research both sides of it. If a person only looks at one side of the
spectrum when it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not even covering the danger of accidents the process in which oil is drilled is
dangers in itself to the environment. During the process of drilling offshore, each
drill well generates tens of thousands of gallons of waste drilling muds (materials
used to lubricate drill bits and maintain pressure) and cuttings. Drilling muds
contain toxic metals such as mercury, lead, and cadmium that may bioaccumulate
and biomagnify in marine organisms, including in our seafood supply. (Natural
Resources Defense Council 2009) Having yet to cover the worst part of offshore
oil drilling we have already come across toxic metals that are released in the water
during the drilling process. These toxic metals that are released in the water are not
only harmful to water creatures and wildlife but extremely harmful to humans. Take
the toxic metal lead, for example, lead in itself is very detrimental to the health of
adults. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the intake of lead
can lead to, cardiovascular effects, increased blood pressure, the incidence of
hypertension, decreased kidney function, and reproductive problems (in both men
and women). Even low levels of lead in the blood of children can result in; behavior
and learning problems, lower IQ, hyperactivity, slowed growth, hearing problems, and
anemia. ( United States Environmental Protection Agency 2015) If you as an adult

Essay On Sugarlands Visitor Center
Day 1 Sugarlands Visitor Center, Elkmont Campground, Abrams Trail, and Abrams
Falls As I arrived in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, I entered the main entrance to the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park proceeding directly to the Sugarlands Visitor Center.
First, I watched a twenty minute documentary film about the history of the Smoky
Mountains, including wildlife and nature that visitors might encounter, plus activities
offered in the park. While browsing the interactive museum, I discovered stunning,
authentic wildlife exhibits with native plants. Ranger Sam answered my questions,
advised me on wildlife sightings, and recommended sites to visit within the park. The
bookstore offered visitors interesting books, maps, badges, postcards, and a... Show

Initially, we crossed a grassy meadow, and then navigated onto steep rugged
terrain. Traveling at a slow, steady pace, the sound of creaking saddles and rustling
leaves from the crisp breeze was the only thing you could hear for miles. As we
ventured across several clear rushing streams, my horse decided to abruptly stop
for a quick drink. The hearty green foliage was beautiful as mountain laurel and
flame azalea scattered the old dirt trail while the sun peeked through the trees
casting shadows. The trail weaved up the mountain and the higher we climbed the
narrower the trail became; therefore, looking down was quite a frightening
experience. After an hour of riding Joe, our guide, took the group to an overlook
area that had spectacular views of mountains and nearby hills. The dancing wisps of
clouds hung over the mountains, and according to Joe, the Cherokee referred to the
mountains as being shaconage or blue, like smoke (Oswald 98). As the group
proceeded down the mountain, the trail became rocky and muddy, making our ride
quite lively heading back to the stables. Sadly, another awesome adventure has ended,
but the memories will last forever. That evening at the campground, I enjoyed
cooking my trout over an open campfire and reminiscing about the last three days.
Few experiences have uplifted my spirit more than the beauty of the mountaintops,
valleys, wildlife, and the natural wonders of the Great Smoky

Lyric Essay Examples

  • 1. Lyric Essay Examples Crafting an essay on the topic of "Lyric Essay Examples" presents a unique set of challenges. Firstly, the genre itself, the lyric essay, is known for its fluidity and hybrid nature, combining elements of poetry and prose. This makes it inherently challenging to pin down a set structure or format. The essay writer must navigate through the intricacies of this genre, understanding how to seamlessly blend personal reflection, narrative, and poetic language. Moreover, finding relevant examples to illustrate the characteristics of lyric essays can be a daunting task. The genre is still evolving, and exemplary pieces might not be as widely available as those of more established forms. This requires a thorough exploration of various literary sources, both contemporary and historical, to unearth suitable illustrations that effectively convey the essence of lyric essays. Another difficulty lies in striking the right balance between creativity and coherence. Lyric essays often invite writers to experiment with language and form, but this freedom can easily lead to a lack of clarity or cohesion. Crafting a piece that is both artistic and intelligible to the reader demands a delicate touch – a skill that comes with practice and an understanding of the genre's nuances. In addition, since lyric essays often delve into personal experiences and emotions, the writer must navigate the fine line between introspection and self-indulgence. The challenge is to make the essay relatable and engaging while avoiding the pitfalls of excessive subjectivity. In conclusion, tackling an essay on "Lyric Essay Examples" demands a deep understanding of the genre, extensive research to find suitable examples, and a careful balance between creativity and coherence. It is a task that requires a writer to navigate the complexities of a genre that defies traditional boundaries, making it a rewarding yet challenging endeavor. The Temptations Social Influence On Pop Culture The Tempting Temptations With classy dance moves, creative costumes, and smooth vocals, the Temptations were a popular music group during the 1960s. The small group from Detroit had a huge impact on modern society from addressing social issues such as racial injustice, to revolutionizing rhythm and blues music. As a group of five young men, the Temptationsbegan their careers in Motown music where they became an influential quintet that changed the music and culture of the 1960s. Otis Williams later said that learning an Atkins dance routine for a new act might take two or three weeks of rehearsing five or six hours a day (Cox 37). This type of dancing became very popular with the public and many consider it to be the Temptations

Meditation Write-Up Meditation Write Up Initially, I was nervous to begin daily meditations because I had tried to meditate before and I could never truly calm my mind from the thousands of thoughts that would swirl around. However, after meditating for fifteen minutes daily for a week, I can now say that I have become more comfortable with meditation, but it was a challenging week. At many times, I felt uncomfortable sitting in silence because my thoughts would constantly distract me from trying to focus on my breathing. Yet, as the week progressed, I noticed that I became more comfortable with the practice. Surprisingly, time passed very quickly when I meditated, it felt as though it was roughly five minutes, when it was really fifteen minutes. As well, the
  • 4. Who Is Michael Ondaatje s The English Patient Michael Ondaatje is a renowned Canadian author and poet known for his eloquent, lyrical style. His novel, The English Patient, published in 1992, serves as a commentary on the complexity of human relationships and the significance of national identities. The story is primarily set in Italy after World War II; however, it is impregnated with flashbacks from Kip, Caravaggio and most importantly the English patient. The flashbacks from the English patient, AlmГЎsy, are the most significant because they shed light on his mysterious past. He neglects to tell the other inhabitants of his past due to his hatred for ownership and nationalities. Much of AlmГЎsy s non injured existence revolves around his desert expeditions and his torrid love affair with... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He longs to be free, and hates being tied down. AlmГЎsy was a member an expedition that lasted from 1930 to the beginning of World War II. His expedition explored the uncharted areas of northern Africa, observing the terrain and constructing maps. AlmГЎsy appears to be somewhat of a free spirit, not plagued by the looming threat of the war. He forsakes nationalism and refuses to be labelled. However, when he meets Katharine, he turns over the possession of his soul to her. Although he tells her that he hates ownership, he claims parts of her anatomy for his own: This is my shoulder...not her husband s (156). This juxtaposition of independency with dependency relates to European colonist attitudes. Throughout history, Europeans have tried colonizing less developed countries for their own benefit under the guise of the church. Being Hungarian, AlmГЎsy was likely subjected to these ideals. Furthermore, AlmГЎsy claims that [a]ll [he] desired was to walk upon such an earth that had no maps (261). This is ironic, as his job prior to the war was to construct maps of the desert. Maps promote ownership and nationalities, his two least favourite things. This statement, in spite of its nomadic sentiments, cements his underlying devotion to

Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves? ( Habakkuk 1:13 ). Habakkuk 1:13 is an all encompassing verse that illustrates the tragic miss treatment of Japanese Christians throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth century, which is the setting that Shusaku Endo is successfully capturing. Before they leave for Nagasaki, Rodrigues advices the chosen to trample the fumie if they are faced with that choice. Father Garrpe is shocked by Father Rodrigues s advice and lack of hesitation to denounce one s faith, which illustrates the beginning of Father Rodrigue s denial of his own faith. After Mokichi and Ichizo were brought back to the village and tied to crosses to die by water punishment, Father Rodrigues questions everything, What do I want to say? I myself do not quite understand. Only that today, when for the glory of God Mokichi and Ichizo moaned, suffered, and died, I cannot bear the monotonous sound of the dark sea gnawing at the shore. Zigbee Based Home Automation System IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, Vol. 55, No. 2, MAY 2009 A ZigBee Based Home Automation System Khusvinder Gill, Shuang Hua Yang, Fang Yao, and Xin Lu Abstract In recent years, the home environment has seen a rapid introduction of network enabled digital technology. This technology offers new and exciting opportunities to increase the connectivity of devices within the home for the purpose of home automation. Moreover, with the rapid expansion of the Internet, there is the added potential for the remote control and monitoring of such network enabled devices. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover the sharing of a single Bluetooth module between numerous devices has the disadvantage of incurring an access delay. [4] introduced a phone based remote controller for home and office automation. The system differs in that all communications occur over a fixed telephone line and not over the Internet. The system can be accessed using any telephone that supports dual tone multiple frequency (DTMF). The disadvantages of this system are threefold: users are not provided with a graphical user interface, users have to remember an access code, and they have to remember which buttons to press for the control of connected devices. [5] proposed a novel control network, using hand gestures. The controller uses a glove to relay hand gestures to the system. The problem with the system lies in the inaccuracy of hand gestures, with the potential for normal arm movements being inaccurately interpreted as commands. Moreover, there is the risk of user fatigue if repetitive hand gestures are required. The introduction provides a short review of the existing academic research into home automation. The publically available research into home automation lies predominantly in the academic arena, with little industrial research being publically available. The adoption of home automation technologies into commercial systems has been limited,

I was and I still am a single mother of three boys, Tunji (my oldest), Jaylon and Jaleel (my twins). This has and is a fulltime job, but I am not going to speak about the present, only my past life of raising my three sons. I have always worked but there was a time that I had to stop working in order to focus on my twins. I knew from the age of 1 year old, something just wasn t quite right with their behavior and cognitive development was lacking in a lot of areas. For example; not talking, just babbling and pointing at objects, loud noises caused them to shut down and cover their ears, lining up objects and any little disturbance in their routine caused them to have a tantrum or screaming fit. It was so hard trying to get answers from doctors, their favorite thing to say to me was it s a twin thing they will grow out of it. This was the beginning of a long hard road. The three most enjoyable things that I liked about this job is: Investigating, finding out what was wrong with my sons? Why are they behaving in this manner? I was relentless in finding out and I didn t stop until I received all the right answers. I finally started getting answers, first I found out that they had a sleeping disorder, so they was put on sleeping pills, my thought was YES, I will know get sleep! The second diagnoses was ADHD, which explained the bouncing off the walls, floors

The Netherlands was the last country retained by the Nazis which around this time was stricken by the Allied Forces, to which the exiled Dutch government responded with a railway strike. The intents of the Allied Forces with the help of the strike were futile, which gave the German government the opportunity to order a food embargo to the Netherlands as a lesson for their disobedience. A cell has a sum of signals that help on stabilizing the gene expression ; these are epigenetics tags that are accumulated through cell development. While for decades scientists thought the new embryo s epigenome was made from scratch it is now know that parents epigenetic tags play an important role in the life of the new creature. Most of the epigenetic tags are erased during the process of development in a process called reprogramming leaving the majority of the cell in a blank state though a few genes make it through the process without successful removal of the tags. The study greatly helped in understanding the mechanism of nutrition and epigenetic inheritance to the child while in the womb. Politic has always been defined as a pivotal point to human development, especially in structuring a civilization and nation. According to Wikipedia, the term politic was derived from the Greek word politikos , which means the theory and practice of influencing other people on many levels, or in other words, an exercise of governance over a community (Wikipedia). Politic is unique in all places: different country and state may have different types of ruling system that is exercised with some other part of the world. Politic is like an assimilation of all ruling system across the world, the uniqueness of a political system is influenced by the other political system as well. In human system, this political system, and political change throughout the different era, is crucial in reshaping human development for the better. Chinain the ancient era was highly sought for its power inculcated across the globe. China is one of the oldest civilizations said to exist in the world, and even up to now is still highly acknowledged as one of the most biggest political influence in the world. During this ancient era, China was ruled by a system known as dynasty, or ruling families for over a long period. As it was governed by the ruling of dynasties, China was ruled by a leader known as Emperor in different dynasties throughout the centuries. Currently, the teacher is holding office hours whenever possible, and although that is limited by the teachers availability, the formation of a study group is not. A school sponsored study group can be extremely beneficial for students who may otherwise feel awkward asking a classmate they just met if they would like to study together. One student stated, Most of what BHS would probably try to offer, most kids seek out on their own. It would be nice to set up a peer study group at a set location on days when teacher is not available if only for the students who don t have friends they feel they can rely on. That way no one feels excluded when it comes to studying, and those who typically cannot rely on teacher or friends have somewhere to go. From my own experience, all of my advanced courses in high schoolwere filled with at least a few of my friends (perks of going to a smaller school), so finding help was not a huge issue. However, in college, study groups became my life outside the classroom. Last semester, I spent eight hours a week in study groups, and without them, I would have probably had to take a few courses again. Study groups give direction and structure to studying that one may otherwise not have on his or her own. One high achieving student mentioned that her primary resource is about 4 5 close friends with whom she formed a study group. Even a study workshop can guide students in

Good teachers and great teachers may possess similar skills, certifications, content knowledge, and behaviors but great teachers put their variety of skill sets, abilities to accurately self reflect, and adaptability in order to become effective teachers. Whitaker emphasizes the importance of teachers who know how they come across to people, how others receive their behavior, and the ways in which they are able to reflect on their self awareness as one of the key components between good verses great teachers. I believe a teachers ability to both self reflect, correct, and
  • 15. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Histogram Equalization Contrast Enhancement: 3.3.1 Histogram equalization This method usually increases the global contrast of many images, especially when the usable data of the image is represented by close contrast values. Through this adjustment, the intensities can be better distributed on the histogram. This allows for areas of lower local contrast to gain a higher contrast. Histogram equalization accomplishes this by effectively spreading out the most frequent intensity values. The method is useful in images with backgrounds and foregrounds that are both bright or both dark. In particular, the method can lead to better views of bone structure in x ray images, and to better detail in photographs that are over or under exposed. A key advantage of the method is that it is a fairly straightforward technique and an invertible operator. So in theory, if the histogram equalization function is known, then the original histogram can be recovered. The calculation is not computationally intensive. A disadvantage of the method is that it is indiscriminate. It may increase the contrast of background noise, while decreasing the usable signal. In scientific imaging where spatial correlation is more important than intensity of signal (such as separating DNA fragments of quantized length), the small signal to noise ... For example, if applied to 8 bit image displayed with 8 bit gray scale palette it will further reduce color depth (number of unique shades of gray) of the image. Histogram equalization will work the best when applied to images with much higher color depth than palette size, like continuous data or 16 bit gray scale

Import And Local Production Of Cement Importation Source: CMAN In spite of the local production, cement importation has been high over the years because of the out dated manufacturing technology, high interest rates and exchange rate fluctuations. These factors have contributed to the manufacturing overhead both in terms of the high cost of raw materials and other inputs in the manufacturing and distribution process. Also, the easy access and low cost of acquiring an import license in comparison with difficulty in import license acquisition for manufacturing equipment spare parts also discouraged local manufacturing (Mojekwu, Idowu, Sode, 2013). Most students who attend school on a regular basis usually succeed in life. On the other hand, many students fail to attend school every day which can lead to problems in schools. However, some students have acceptable reasons for dropping out. As a result, a student s punctuality can ultimately alter his or her education. On that note, dropping out of high school can affect an individual in many ways throughout the years. Schools are facing challenges dealing with high dropout rates, high rates of truancy, and low graduation rates because students are failing to attend school. To begin with, dropping out of high school has caused a negative uprise leading to high dropout rates. There are several effects of dropping out of school. Many students have difficult experiences during their early lives. High school dropouts are more likely to be from households where parents do not help their children with school. Some students feel there is disconnect between themselves, their parents, and their teacher; therefore, they end up dropping out of school. However, if parents and teachers communicate with students, there is a higher chance that the students will graduate and succeed. Many adults, who dropped out of school, regret dropping out. Since the dropped out of school, life is not so easy for them. Suh initiates that the United States economy had become more brain

I used to watch the National Geographic channel and documentaries more than cartoon network or the Disney channel starting at around the age of six years old. Hopefully one day I plan to build a Montessori trade school somewhere in Africa teaching aquaponics, organic farming, coding, CAD and other specialized trades. • 20. Middle East Bagpipes Research Paper The piper stands at attention as he plays his solemn, melancholy tune on the gently rolling meadows of Scotland. He remembers those who have fallen at his side on the battlefield and honors them with his song. The cold, bitter wind licks at his face, but he continues playing in honor of his friends. He chokes back tears as he plays and a single tear runs down his cheek, but he regains himself as to not mess up his beautiful tune. The last time he played here was as he was running into battle with his comrades, but that tune was much different. That tune was mighty and fierce, as to inspire and empower his comrades and to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies. The bagpipesare not just specific to Scotland, however. (Worrall and White). The bagpipes would not be introduced to Europe for thousands of years afterwards. The early Middle Eastern bagpipes were originally made from hollow reeds, corn stalks, bamboo, etc. The bagpipes slowly began spreading to other areas of the world. As the bagpipes spread to other areas, they were modified to accommodate the region and its resources. These modifications are the reasons that there are presently many different kinds of bagpipes. Some different kinds of bagpipes include the Zukra, which is played in some places in North Africa, the Zumarah, which is played in Egypt, the Moshug, which is played in India, the Gaita, which is played in Portugal and Spain, the Zampogna, which is played in Italy, the Cornemuse, which is played in France, the Bock, which is played in Germany, and the Volynka, which is played in Russia. • 21. The Problem Of The Subprime Crisis Currently, we are recovering from one of the worst recessions the United States and the world economies have ever seen. Known as The Great Recession, the period of falling employment, spending, saving and rising interest rates, officially lasted from December 2007 June of 2009. However, the effects were felt severely numerous years after, and are still being resolved and learned from today. Normally, the housing sector of the United States market leads the economy out of a recession, being one of the few forms of spending almost exclusively domestic. Also, housing leads to a spur of other jobs including raw material distribution, construction, contracting, and real estate. The subprime mortgagecrisis is argued to be the cause of the Great Recession and one of the main inhibitors of finding a solution quickly. What caused the subprime crisis, and why was it so detrimental even on a world scale? There are many hypotheses, some are proven through economic law and some are ideas based off of human nature. The Subprime Crisis is known as the fall of the housing market resulting in a record number of foreclosures and families declaring bankruptcy. This was a direct result of banks being able to produce money too quickly. Due to an influx of loans and high interest rates, banks were able to create enough money for mortgage loans for people with weak credit, a subprime mortgage. If interest rates remained at the current price and the value of the housing market remained high,
  • 22. Violence and Its Forms Violence was, and remains today, a versatile concept in theatre. Violence is something we desire to see as an audience, yet simultaneously a majority of people would never commit the atrocities found in Macbeth. There exists a thin line between acceptable violence and violence that turns an audience away from sympathizing with a character. In this essay we will evaluate the differences between the various forms of violence found within Macbeth, and analyze why the audience can accept some acts of violence, while deeming others inhumane. The clearest breeds of violence found in the play are; war violence, law breaking violence, sociopathic violence, and descriptive violence. Shakespeare places these different forms of violence... No boasting like a fool. (IV.i.1726 1733) Macbeth addresses the difference between fantasy and actuality. Shakespeare may have been suggesting that it is a human element to have demons for daydreams and that it is part of the human consciousness to fantasize horrible acts such as murdering for power, but that it is only unheavenly violence when these thoughts are acted upon. War violence is the most publically accepted form of violence. Macbeth is introduced as a courageous man because he was able to win the war for the Scottish. For brave Macbeth well he deserves that name Disdaining fortune, with his brandish d steel, Which smoked with bloody execution, Like valour s minion carved out his passage Till he faced the slave; Which ne er shook hands, nor bade farewell to him, Till he unseam d him from the nave to the chaps, And fix d his head upon our battlements. (I.ii.35 42) The play Macbeth is introduced with violence, but unlike the violence that follows this battle, the future gore is unacceptable. Macbeth is explained to have cut a man from his navel to his jaw, and then place his head on a castle wall. As violent as this is, it is the only act Macbeth does in the entire play that is noble. In the following thesis I choose Hinduism as an example to show how rituals are meaningful, how it relates to the living context of the Indian people, how the Indians enact the Hindurituals, and so on. India is a country full of mysteries and differences. It has a long history, a profound yet unique culture, with diversified nationalities, races, religions, languages and a huge population. The pursuit of secularism and inveteracy of sectarianism have brought huge influence to the Indian society. As the mainstream culture in India, Hinduism plays an important role in the Indian society and has dominated almost 2000 years of its history. Although in the following years since, the Indian culture gradually becomes a combination of different races, religions and languages, Hinduism still remains to be the key to dig into the development of the culture and society of India. First, the Hindu s worship of the imperishability of gods is the spiritual power for the Indians faith and persistence in overcoming difficulties and obstacles in the long history of development. When Papa and her medical team conducted CT scans on 152 children and compared the results to a blood test, they learned that the blood test could still accurately identify the areas that a patient had experienced a TBI. In addition, blood testing also gave doctors an idea about the severity of the person s TBI. Despite these findings, the study did have its limitations. The Bible does not merely claim this but later shows the statements to be true during Jesus ministry. While Jesus was alive on this earth He was criticized for who He chose to spend time with tax collectors and sinners, the rejects of the society and although Jesus was seen as above them He did not judge them. Instead He says to the Phariseesquestioning Him in Mark 2:13 17, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners (New International Version). This passage is clearly referring to salvation but it can also be taken

As of 2016, the U.S. Marshals have about 3,752 deputy U.S. Marshals, 1,457 administrative employees with a budget about 1.3 Billion dollars. U.S Marshals has multiple responsibilities within their agencies such as protecting the federal judiciary, apprehending federal fugitives, managing and selling seized assets acquired by criminals through illegal activities, housing and transporting federal prisoners and operating the Witness Security Program (U.S. Marshals, 2017). In order for this to be implemented, air marshals have to complete a sixteen and a half week training program, and once they are assigned to an area they must complete about a hundred and sixty hours a year to keep their certification (Grover, 2017). Within the U.S Marshals you have to have a bachelor s degree and be between the ages of twenty one and thirty six just like with the FBI and DEA. Most of the federal agencies have strict age requirements for their agencies, where most Police or Sheriff Departments can be beyond that age to be hired on. Most agencies go out to about 45 years of age and some Sheriff Departments can go further or even not have an age requirement. In reading about the U.S Marshals, it was impressive that the agency would set up stings to get fugitives to come to a certain location, while believing they won something. One of the events that stuck out was the U.S Marshals that sent out

It is a new method to the measure the capital and also it focused on the credit risk and appropriate risk weighting of assets (International convergence of capital measurement and capital standards, 1988). Under the concept of the risk weighted asset, the regulators can include the riskiness of the bank s activities into the calculations of the capital adequacy (Lange, Saunders Millon Cornett, 2015). The core requirement of the Basel I were 2 capital ratios: a minimum 4% for the tier 1 capital ratio and the Total capital ratio for 8% (Lange, Saunders Millon Cornett, 2015). The tier 1 capital Ratio can be calculated by the (common equity goodwill) / Risk weighted assets (RWA) and the Total capital ratio can be calculated by Total regulatory capital / Total risk adjusted assets. Basel II In Basel II, it improved the measurement of the risk weighted assets. It includes the market risk, the operational issues and the risks caused by the emergencies like the terrorisms or natural disasters (Lange, Saunders Millon Cornett, 2015). The Basel II is more detailed than the Basel I. In the Basel II, it creates a new frame, the Three pillar frame. The pillar 1 is the Minimum Capital Requirements. It is to maintain the regulatory capital of the FI by calculating the 3 main risks, the credit risk, market
  • 42. Reasons For The Fall Of Rasputin In 1917, the Russian Empire collapsed after a long reign of almost 300 years. The effects of World War I are said to have been the reason for the collapse of the once powerful dynasty. However, was Gregori Rasputin the primary reason for the fall? The question that was once whispered on thousands of Russians lips is still asked today. Who was Rasputin? Gregori Rasputin was a Siberian peasant who not only intrigued everyone by his bushy beard and piercing cold blue eyes, but by his mystic holy powers he claimed to have. He believed that God had given him a gift for healing as during his childhood, he almost died. Despite these claims, at a young age Rasputin had already acquired a reputation for debauchery and his birth name was changed from Grigori Yefimovich Novykh to Gregori Yefmovich Rasputin. Rasputin meaning debauched one in Russian. However, Rasputin went through a religious conversion at the age of 18 as he embraced the Khlysty sect. This image of Rasputin was widely used by the political opponents of the Tsar s to show his lack of authority and his wife s incompetence. The staunchest supports of Tsardom even found it hard to defend a system which allowed their country, that was in its greatest trial, to be under the control of a debauched monk . People merely saw Rasputin as a man who brought scandal to the royal family, made Tsar Nicholas break his own October Manifesto and influence important decisions in World War

  • 44. Planetary Migration Even today, scientists understand very little about the formation of Uranus and Neptune. This made scientists have stated that, ...the possibilities concerning the formation of Uranus and Neptune are almost endless. However, it has been suggested that this planetary system evolved in a very non conventional manner, as described in the following lines. Planetesimals at the disk s inner edge occasionally passed through gravitational encounters with the outermost giant planet, which calter the planetesimals orbits. The planets scattered inwards the most of the small icy bodies that they encountered, exchanging angular momentum with the scattered objects so that the planets move outwards in response, preserving the angular momentum of the system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After several hundreds of millions of years of slow, gradual migration, Jupiter and Saturn, the two inmost giant planets, crossed their mutual 1:2 mean motion resonance of orbital motion. This resonance increased their orbital eccentricities to such an extent, that it destabilized the entire planetary system. The arrangement of the giant planets altered quickly and very radically. Jupiter shifted Saturn out towards its present position, and this relocation caused mutual gravitational encounters between Saturn and the two ice giants, which subsequently propelled the planets Neptune and Uranus onto much more eccentric orbits. These ice giants then ploughed into the planetesimal disk, scattering tens of thousands of planetesimals from their formerly stable orbits in the outer Solar System. This disruption almost entirely scatters the primordial disk, removing almost 99% of its mass, a scenario which explains the modern day absence of a dense trans Neptunian population. Some of the planetesimals were thrown into the inner Solar System, producing a sudden influx of impacts on the terrestrial planets: yes! It is the Late Heavy

To completely understand the tragedy, it is important for the read to read the whole play including the chorus. The chorus is valuable to the play with their knowledge and cultural awareness of the time. Not only did the chorus provide extensive context, but also their other main job was to verbally judge the main characters actions and moral decisions. The chorus provides the audience with new perspectives on the tragedy and the characters themselves. In Oedipus Rex, the chorus was composed of Thebans. At the start of the tragedy, the chorus main job was to provide the audience with the circumstances that surround the beginning of the play. The chorus provided information about the widespread destruction that has happened to the protagonist. For Oedipus, he is on a path to self discovery and the chorus has to constantly remind him to remain calm when tried to find who murdered Laius. Sophocles chorus foreshadows and provides the main characters with crucial information that will help in the future. The chorus was composed of wise, old citizens. The chorus also warns and suggests to the audience what could potentially be happening later in the play. With the cultural awareness, the chorus demands Oedipus to not kill Creon. This is extremely
