RUNSYSTEM COMPANY
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Profile of the internship place and expectations of the internship
GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM was formerly RUNSYSTEM - one of the
Information Technology (IT) companies specializing in providing offshoresoftware
for Japanese customers. The company was established in 2005 with 23 founders. Up
to now, GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM has more than 360 creative, experienced
employees trained at leading universities in Vietnam and Japan. Version, highly
appreciated by customers, partners and markets.
GMO-Z.com RUNSYSTEM's operating areas include: Software production;
Research and development; Building Web system; Develop professional system;
System integration; Graphic design; Producing and distributing games and IT
Services (domain, hosting, cloud, SSL, Appstore ...). It is located on the 7th floor,
Ha Do Building, 02 Hong Ha Street, ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh city.
1.2. Expectation of the internship
I also get information about the company through the website
https://runsystem.net/en/ as reading more available materials at the company. The
most interested things I found out that there are many foreign customers like
Japanese , English, French and I think that is a wonderful chance for me to apply my
English and my soft skills.
1.3. Internship time
According to the university's plan, the student’s internship lasted for four-week
from July 31st, 2020 to August 29 th, 2020. During this time I worked in the Customer
Service Department of Ho Chi Minh Branch GMO-z.comRunsystemCompany. The
company’s working schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6 pm each day,
5. the lunch break is from 12 p.m to 1 p.m. However, because I worked as an intern; I
only had to attend at the company three days a week and I could have some days off
during the week if I was busy. In the last week of my internship, I was allowed to
take three days off to prepare for my internship report.
2. INTERSHIP PROCESS
2.1. Assigned tasks at internship place
During my 4 – week internship, I will begin work as a tester (a person who
tests something, especially a new productof software). My main task is reading and
translating English documents of the project. Besides, I also create test case to
support other colleagues in testing product of software. Testing is the last task in
developing software process. Hence, I think that testing is a useful job.

2.2. Favorable conditions and challenges in doing the tasks
The time I spent on practicing is a long time. During this time, there were
advantages and disadvantages in the work which I would like to describe below:
Firstly, I feel the harmony and friendliness from the people around. Everyone is
always happy when I ask them to support .
Although I am a trainee, I still receive full support from the company with various
beneficial policies and allowances. Besides, I also have the opportunity to participate
in short courses on soft skills organized by the company. Finally, the company
facilitated me to use the knowledge and skills learned at school to apply to work
through the guidance from the company.
Along with the advantages of the internship there were three challenges that I
encountered.The first problem is the difficulty in understanding all the vocabulary
used in the documents I am referencing. Although we had some lessons on the IT
topic, I only learned about the holistic view. Another problem was communication.
9. Communication is one significant factor when we are working in the office to keep
the harmony among workers. However, I am a very timid person so when meeting
new people I am afraid to talk with them or do not know how to talk. The last
problem I was struggling was the working time. The schedule of the office was
slightly different from the one of university. For nearly four years I am used to the
time when I attend the lectures for two to three hours in the morning or in the
afternoon, we take short breaks every class or have two or three days off a week.
However, when taking part in the placement we had to do two spells of work a day
and only had one hour for lunch break.
