The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. 3. Introduction
What is light?
Light is just one form of electromagnetic radiation, or
electromagnetic waves. These waves are all around us
and come in many wavelengths. Through the
workshop, we learned some of its characteristics like
diffraction, interference and iridescence.
4. Activity 1: light and their spectrum
• objective: to observe the light spectrum of different
sources of light. Example: LED, incandescent and fluorescent.
•Procedure:
5. •Results: We have noticed the difference in spectrums
with the difference of the source of lights. We can
result that:
• LED light spectrum: the light spectrum of the LED light
showed a broad band of one color range.
• Incandescent light spectrum: the light spectrum of
the Incandescent light showed a continuous and
complete spectrum.
• Fluorescent light spectrum : the light spectrum of
•the Fluorescent light showed a discrete spectrum.

Most food industries use paper to advertise their
products or even use paper in their menus, we have
also seen some new inventions such as the smart
menus using tablets or electronic tables.
This is where light menu idea was born. To make a new
menu using LED strip lights and acrylic sheet.

•Results: menus were easily engraved on the acrylic sheet.
Upon the subjection of light to the acrylic sheet, the menu
showed in an artistic new way. The whole project was
inexpensive and can be easily manufactured by advertising
companies.

Recommendations:
We recommend light menu as it is inexpensive, eco-friendly
and would be a turning point in the advertising industry.
Numbers:
in 2017 a study has been made that 1 million people eat from McDonalds
everyday. 1 million paper is being used daily just in McDonalds.

Conclusion: The light menu is one of the most valuable ideas
that can be used in restaurants and the other sectors that
include menus. We can say proudly that the light menu has
benefited the environment by showing the menus in a way
that paper wont be used in it and can be renewed at a very
low-cost for advertising companies, restaurants and the
environment.
