Manipulation Of Light In the Nano world Module : In this Module students discover the different light phenomena like Diffraction, Interference, Iridescence of Light But in The Nano scale.
the product Idea is : using the guiding lines in a way for directions so that each line gives a specific color which was recommended to help foreigners and tourists with directions like for example each line leads to a specific location like red line reaches to alsadd stadium or like red lines will lead to all the stadiums and blue will lead to malls and shopping centers

3. Introduction
• Light: is electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human
eye and is responsible for the sense of sight
• Reflection: is the change in direction of a wavefront at an
interface between two different media so that the wavefront
returns into the medium from which it originated
• Refraction: is the change in direction of propagation of a
wave due to a change in its transmission medium.
4. • We wanted to build a spectroscope and use it to
examine several different light sources and watch
a spectrum
Activity 1: Light and their spectrum
5. • Conclusion :
• The spectroscope showed us a beautiful spectrum that was
worth its preparations and we built the spectroscope ourselves
by using simple object like a CD-R and a black paper and a
cone shaped object.
Activity 1: Light and their spectrum
6. Activity 2 a :observing
diffraction
• In this activity we wanted to generate water waves
and observe them passing around a barrier and
through an opening and see an example of
diffractions
• Conclusion : We saw a very good example of
diffraction and we learned that diffraction happens
when any object blocks the way of a wave.
7. 2b: diffraction simulation Activity
• We wanted to look more closely at what happens to light
waves nearer the objects causing them to diffract and this is
only possible to see by using a computer
• we learned that light waves diffraction can only be stimulated
by a computer
• Simulation link : http://165.124.3.26/bsslit.html
8. Activity 3: Observing
interference
• We wanted to see how interference happens and we
did it by stimulating it by computer
• We concluded that interference happens when two
waves collide with each other
• Simulation link : http://165.124.3.26/bsslit.html
• Results :
• D = 1.5 D = λ D = 3 λ
9. Activity 3: Observing
interference
o Making Interference Transparent.
Result : We found that white color
constrictive interference, black color is
destructive, when two waves interfere
with each other
10. Activity 3: Observing interference
Part C :Wave generator(Mechanical wave) .
Antinode : a point at which the amplitude of one of the two
kinds of displacement in a standing wave.
node: is a centering point of component parts.
11. Activity4:observing
iridescence
• We wanted to observe how iridescence happens so we tried
the observing peacock feathers which are know for their
iridescence property
• Conclusion : We learned that iridescence is the property of
certain surfaces that appear to change color as the angle of
view or the angle of illumination changes
12. Fabricating Phonetic crystals
Polystyrene solution 250nm, 300nm ,
They have the same thing except the nano particle size and then
we but it in a hot plate and let it heat and it get different colors as
you can see in the pictures down below
Result :
• Observing iridescence due to the different in Nano particle size
250 300
13. the road guider
• If we use this project effectively we would be able to reduce a
significant amount of car crashes and accidents and it will
make qatar our country safer and more comfortable
• And it will help qatar in 2022 because qatar will become
more crowded in the future so to make the FIFA and citizens
and visitors especially fans more comfortable and insure them
with their safety and it will make the world cup more
enjoyable without any accidents
14. How did we create road
guider?
Well road guider is an improved version of another
famous inventor in europe and we used components
on the road lines that lets it reflect light in the dark and
some of these components are use in makeup
industries.
15. The overall uses of the
road guider
• Well our projects main goal and use is to make the roads safer
however it could be used on other ways like
• Using it on the airport to save electricity and we can use use
the guiding lines in a way for directions so that each line gives
a specific color which was recommended to help foreigners
and tourists with directions like for example each line leads to
a specific location like red line reaches to alsadd stadium or
like red lines will lead to all the stadiums and blue will lead to
malls and shopping centers
16. The road guiders recommendation
• We recommend this for the governments and
airport so that our project will be more effective
and our idea is not particually new but we used it in
a different way and we improved it and our main
goal was to reduce car accidents so that people
who are dear to us don’t die in vain and to make
familys and countries and humanity in general
happier
17. Conclusions
We learned so many things about light and waves in
AL-Bairaq and it was an enjoyable and interseting
experience and we wont forget it in our life and it
improve our skills and we learned so many skills that
will help us in university and in our future
