The lesson plan aims to teach students about Mother Teresa through reading her biography. Students will demonstrate their understanding by writing facts about her life and creating a timeline of key events. They will discuss Mother Teresa's founding of charities to help the poor in India. For evaluation, students will make timelines of Mother Teresa's life and their own life. As an assignment, students must research and write a 3 paragraph biography of their mother or another person.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the student is expected to:
demonstrate understanding by writing three facts about Mother Teresa;
create a timeline of event in the life of Mother Teresa;
tell her brief autobiography necessary for creating her own timeline; and;
write a brief biography of her mother or any person.

III. Procedure
A. Pre-reading
1. Motivation
The teacher will ask the student if she had already read biographies, whose
biographies and had she written any.
2. Vocabulary Development
Using the dictionary, find the meaning of the words:
novice
slums
dispensary
enthusiasm
B. During-reading
The teacher will ask the student to note specific details in Mother Teresa’s life
necessary in creating the timeline of events.
C. Post-reading
The teacher will ask the ff. questions to elicit comprehension response:
1. When and where was Mother Teresa born? When did she die?
2. What is the charity she founded?
3. What did Mother Teresa mean when she said that there is something
which neither science nor medicine could fill?

IV. Evaluation

want, necessary for writing her/his brief biography. Limit your composition to three
paragraphs.
