2. Environment of presentation and materials used
I did my pitch was in the main media room at the school I attend. I used a smart
bored to show my presentation which I had been made ready before hand. Also I
used a remote to change the slides as this way I didn't have to keep going to the
computer, this made the the presentation run more smoothly and allowed me to
interact with my audience a bit more.
For filming my presentation I used a tripod to hold the camera up this way the
video would not be shaky and will be better quality. The type of camera was a Niko
this meant that it was of a good quality.
3. Evidence
This shows me doing me doing my presentation is front of the class and my teacher. This was an
important step to do as it allowed me to step back and have a different perspective as after my
teacher and class mates gave my feedback on how I did and what I needed to improve on.
Furthermore it helped me to see all the steps that I had put in to produce my magazine and what I
can go back on to improve as I didn’t like everything that I had done. It also showed me what I
missed out of my work this was good because if I was really was working for a magazine company,
it would nor be good to miss out on any work.
I made sure to go back and add the mistakes that I had made this way I knew that all my work was
correct and I had all the steps needed to create my magazine.
4. Survey
I have created a survey for my class mates and teacher to fill out. The
question in this will ask how I got in my presentation this will be good
to do because it can give me good feedback on my magazine and how I
could improve on different aspects of my magazine and how I present
my work in front of other people. This is because if I ever present work
in the future I will know what to do and what not to do.
5. From this first question I can see that my presentation went well as the average of
what people thought of my presentation was out of 100 was 78. I think this is
good however it does men that I had done a few things wrong so I will need to
improve to make sure that my magazine can reach the best standard.
6. From my two magazine I can see that people prefer Riff I think this will be of the brighter colours
and the way the front page was structured. This was disappointing as this was not my chosen
magazine so if I was to go back I would pick Riff as this is what people like more and I would be
more likely to sell more copy's.
7. From asking the question what did people most like about my front cover this
helped me to see what I should keep the the same in my magazine and in each
mouthy copy. So what I should keep the same in the colours and the layout of
the front cover as I now know that these features will draw in customers.
8. From asking how to improve on my pitch people said that I need to make sure that
my ideas are well explained and that I actually know all the ideas that I intended to
get across. It was important to ask this question so I can put in all the features that I
needed to as well as making sure that if I had present a magazine to a company I
would know what I needed to do.
Breakdown for survey
10. Witness statement Analysis
• The witness statement shows me all the thins that I had to include in
my pitch so anything that I left out was mentioned on the EBIs and
then I will make the corrections to my pitch later also in the EBIs say
other things that I could have improved on such as talking about my
ideas in more depth and why I had chosen the ideas that I had.
• Also on the witness statement what went wells these were goo
because if I was to do the pitch again I would know what to keep the
same.
