In progressing from a preliminary magazine to a full product, the student learned several key design skills, including how to neatly cut out and incorporate images, use a better quality camera to make the images more professional, and add elements like subheadings, links between subtitles and headings, and a masthead that were missing from the preliminary version. The student also learned what additional elements were needed to make the magazine more complete.

3. Throughout making my magazine I learnt a lot of things, for example on my
preliminary magazine I didn’t understand how to cut out an image and make
it neat and not look cut out, but after making this magazine I began to learn
how to. I also used a different camera to make it a much better quality image
to make it more professional.
I learnt what more to add to my magazine so the different things that I was
missing and what needed to be added.
In my preliminary magazine I did not use any links between the subtitle and
the heading, in my preliminary task didn’t have a sub-heading or masthead
so this was something I learnt to add to my magazine.
