Learners will achieve the RATS program goal by meeting the program objectives. Objectives were
developed based on needs identified through experience as well as those found in the literature.3 and 4
Environment, patient safety, and surgical team management comprise the three primary objectives.
These three categories incorporate the required knowledge and skills that enable effective
management of a safe surgical experience for the patient undergoing RATS.
Robot assisted surgery continues to grow in popularity and RATS has both unique concerns and
concerns common to other robot assisted surgeries. The RATS perioperative nursing development
program allows leaders to plan, develop, and deploy a training program to help perioperative nurses
competently manage the OR environment, patient safety, and the surgical team. Successful program
implementation and sustained ongoing competency are achieved through promotion of the RATS

Sage As A Master Of Economics
His real name was Travis Sage, but everyone called him Sage. Sage earned a Bachelor Degree from
Princeton, an MBA from the London School of Economics, and a law degree from Harvard. As a
graduate student in Europe, he wrote a brilliant thesis that updated the guiding principles of the
Austrian School of Economics with 21st century economic, social and political realities. The
subsequent white papers he authored became the economic foundation that guided The Movement s
macro and micro economic policy and regulation. With Sage in the background, Edward Birch and the
Virginia State Legislature had coupled libertarian ideology with economic legislation, policy and
regulation that was equal parts pragmatic and practical, while easy to explain to the bumper sticker
mentality of Virginia voters. Since Edward Birch became governor, Sage s economic philosophy
guided virtually all economic policy decisions in the state. In the hands of Sage, the Virginia economy
was running white hot.
Sage was also one of The Movement s founding fathers. He had been a close personal friend and
business partner with Edward Birch s father. He was part of a team that carefully groomed Edward,
preparing him every step of the way for his ascension through the spectrum of American political
power. Sage s background was shrouded in secrecy his influence strictly behind the scenes, out of the
media limelight. Under Sage s direction, The Movement operated as a parallel governing structure. On

The History Of The World Wide Web
The history of the World Wide Web was created on August 6th, 1991 by Tim Berners Lee. (Bryant,
2012). Due to the creation of the World Wide Web, many things have changed. Websites have made
everything either easier or more complicated. But, we will talk about the easier this world has gotten.
Some websites that have made life easier are Facebook, Strayer University, Amazon, EBay, Google,
Gmail, Yahoo, PayPal, Walmart, Schwan s, Myspace, Pogo, Trip Advisor, and Home Chef. These are
just to name a few of the websites that have made our lives easier.
I could not agree more, that technology is like the Devil to many households making parents divorce
due to lack of person to person communication, and it makes partners want to have infidelities in their
relationships. But, nonetheless, websites like the ones I listed above are to make our lives easier.
We will start with Social Networking sites. Social Networking sites, like Facebook, and Myspace, are
to bring people closer to each other from distances away. I have known of many relatives finding each
other after many years of not knowing each other, due to adoption and other circumstances. They
always help connect business to the users. You will always see ads on the sides of Facebook while
playing a game, if it is not full screen, of business that you might like. Social Networking can be the
cause of distraction with family as well. There was a report of a lady playing Farmville, a very popular
game on Facebook and it used to

The Assembly Line Essay
Assembly line: Dawn of a new age of manufacturing A motor car for the great multitude a goal for
Henry Ford(Schlager 593). In the 1920s, automobiles are rapidly changing the American lifestyle
forever because of their affordability and also the development of new assembly technology to lower
the cost. Technological innovations of assembly begin to expand and advance for the better throughout
the 1920s, which impacts Americans and the people of the world today. Henry Ford, a bold figure

At Henry Ford s factory they became so efficient they could turn out a B 17 Bomber every sixty three

greatest technological innovation it makes it possible for the working man to afford goods like cars
that were once thought too expensive and lowers price for big military vehicles.
` All in all the assembly line brought down the price of goods, such as the Model T, dramatically it
also establish millions of new high paying jobs for Americans. For the average worker in this industry

for the working class(Schlager 594). This large pay raise is an ingenious business move because it
allow his workers to make enough money to be able to afford his car. All great things do not always
happen without consequence. Workers of the assembly line definitely did not have it easy since they
had to keep up with the fast pace machines and boredom from doing the same mundane job every day.
Supervisors often saw drop in quality as well as output so they had to find an equilibrium to be able to
get the best quality possible(lerner 345). The assembly line is not a perfect system but can and will be
improved for the betterment of the workers and the company as a whole. As the assembly line is

Comparative Analysis of Two Producers Essay
BAP210.1 Report Comparative Analysis of Two Producers Rochelle Heffernan (104371)
The following report introduces two producers I draw inspiration from, and am influenced by; Rick
Rubin and Ken Scott. Firstly to critically analyze their bodies of work we must first understand the
role of a producer and what classifies an individual as a producer or engineer. A producer must be able
to oversee and effectively manage the recording, they must be able to understand the bands vision,
they must have an overall goal as to what they wish to produce with the band, they must be creatively
innovative and true to the bands and their own style, they must effectively portray the story ... Show

I m just a fan and I know what sounds good, I know what I like. (2008) As a future engineer I found it
befalling to discover that Rubin had little to no musical theory knowledge or any musical or
engineering knowledge what so ever. So what is it that makes this man so success? Why can he of all
people draw great performances from his clients? What makes Rick Rubin a Grammy winning
engineer, an influential musical man? Producing such a diverse selection of musicians, Rubin is a
listener before he is an engineer; refusing to work in an office setup he uses his historical L.A home to
meet with musicians. Rubin believes that music isn t made behind a work desk or over the phone;
music must first be experienced before it is produced. It can therefore be assumed that Rubin s
successful career is due to underlining appreciation for the music he is producing. He doesn t know
much about music, but he knows what works and this pro found style of engineering through listening
rather than through use of techniques has built an almost instantly recognizable personal style that can
be heard on each record he has worked on.

Algonquin Beach Meditation Center Research Paper
A monolithic red volcanic boulder at the entrance to the Algonquin Beach Meditation Center and Spa
immediately caught Surina s attention. An engraving on it in italicized black letters read: The universe
is everywhere even within you. No one can own the universe. That quote from Somerled Knightly just
about sums everything up, Norval said. He led the way into the lobby of the meditation center beyond
which the unspoiled golden beach gleamed in the brilliant light of the three suns. In the distance, the
cerulean ocean reflected the endless indigo sky. Curiously, the Gnaritusonians still wore green
jumpsuits and hats as they relaxed in the shade of the multicolored beach umbrellas. Clusters of

Under the shade of the umbrellas, Gnaritusonians lay languidly on the beach recliners enjoying an
unrivaled ocean view, listening to music, or reading a good book. At the same time, parents watched
over their rambunctious children to ensure that they did not stray too far. The gusts of wind carried the
merriment of the children across the sandy shore and far out to sea. Surina and Norval crunched along
the soft, fine sand through a maze of beach umbrellas to the shore s edge where the clear waters of the
ocean lapped around and licked their black clogs. After traveling ten thousand light years across the
Milky Way Galaxy, Surina had to pinch herself to make sure that she was indeed at the shoreline of a
new world. She felt like a grain of sand that the powerful energy of the vast capricious ocean could
swallow in an instant. However, the undulating waves and salty breeze whispered sweet messages of
welcome and swept her into the ocean of endless possibilities. The foamy surf breathed promises onto
the beach as well that any grain of sand could become a

Importance Of Animals In Captivity
Almost every human being has been to a zoo or an aquarium. Everyone has seen how the animals are
in small cages and people enjoy watching them not even caring to take into consideration how the
animal may feel. But then who cares right? It is fun to go to a zoo and an aquarium and have a family
day and spend money at these institutions not caring what is really going on around them. Animals
really suffer by being in a captive environment. To be captive means to be confined to only one place,
I personally would not like to be confined to one area my whole life. Although some people may argue
that zoos save endangered species by placing them in a captive environment, safe from poacher,
starvation, and predators. Animals should not be captive. Animals should be free instead of being
captive for human enjoyment and profit because animals have rights, animals in captivity suffer from
stress, confinement, and boredom, and when zoos become overpopulated some zoos will outright kill
the surplus of animals. First of all, taking an animal out of their natural habitat to be held in tanks and
cages is extremely cruel. Animals should have some sort of rights. Animals should have the right to
not be held captive for public enjoyment and profit. According to Bob Oraboana, Every conscious
being has interests that should be respected. No being who is conscious of being alive should be
devalued to thinghood, dominated, used as a resource or a commodity. What Bob is saying is

Whenever a crosshair lands on the screen, it can turn one of more symbols into wilds, and potentially
trigger a free spins bonus. There will certainly be no complaints in that department. It is also possible
to turn entire reels with this crosshair feature.
Free spin bonus
The free spin bonus is the only one of the Bounty Hunt slot bonuses to take place on a second screen.
Players can trigger the free spins bonus via the crosshair feature, or they can target wanted posters
(scatters) to activate it. During the bonus, players will get 10 free spins during the feature, and they
can target crime bosses to bag frozen wilds for the remainder of the feature. Each boss you land is a
different wild, with four potentially very different wilds to land in this bonus.
Should I give it a whirl?
The big question is what are you after? In some cases, the new Bounty Hunt slot game is very
appealing. Its features certainly are both creative and clever. In other ways, though, this slot is a bit
messy. It runs slowly on older computers, and its imagery is rather rudimentary if thematically
acceptable. As long as you don t care about a dollop of the predictable in your slot games, then the
Bounty Hunt slot machine could be for you. At the very least, the slot is certainly not a bad effort by
any standard for such a small and new slot

How Did Josef Mengele Use Scientific Experiments
Josef Mengele was a physician that worked in Auschwitz during the Holocaust. He was interested in
experimenting on twins, Gypsies, dwarves, giants, and those that had physical abnormalities such as
heterochromia, or a club foot [1]. Mengele would conduct pseudo scientific experiments on his test
subjects. He was a part of the ensemble of doctors that decided who would be sent to the gas chambers
upon their arrival to Auschwitz. Most of these were pregnant women, the elderly, and children[2].
During that time, he would look for twins and others that he would experiment on. Mengele would

Interesting Features of Ancient Civilizations
Question: Try to imagine what it was like to live during that time and in that place. What was it that
caused the transition from Neolithic life to civilization? What were some of the major features of those
civilizations that you found interesting? One of the most interesting features of ancient civilizations
was the extent to which topography influenced cultural worldviews and practices. For example, in the
case of the Sumerians, they possessed a highly evolved and complex culture, as manifested in the
philosophical depth of their Epic of Gilgamesh. However, the openness of the land in which they lived
to invaders made them vulnerable as did the propensity of the land to catastrophic flooding. This may
be one of the reasons why they did not create as politically and architecturally complex a society as
Egypt or Greece. It also likely affected the relatively dark worldview expressed in Gilgamesh.
However, despite the susceptibility to invasions, subsequent civilizations in the area, like the
Babylonians, created ways of tracking the stars and other valuable methods of observing and
interpreting the world in a scientific fashion that were to become the building blocks of modern
civilization in other areas. In contrast to Mesopotamia, Egypt had the advantage of a regular,
predictable source of fertilization of its soil in the form of the Nile. This stable source of food enabled
the creation of one of the world s great empires. The pharaoh was responsible for all

Starting at a young age she had a fascination with taking note and sketching the animals she observed
in the wild. She also had a love for reading about animal behavior and zoology. In 1850 she received
her school certificate two years later she received a higher education. She had always dreamed of
going to africa so when she left school at age 28 she started to save up for her long awaited trip to
africa.
The beginning of her career all started due to her meeting the famous anthropologist Louis Leakey and
him inviting her to an anthropological dig. Later on she was sent to study Vervet monkeys who live on
an island in Lake Victoria. Leakey believed primates had an important role in evolution. Getting
research on chimpanzees wild behavior was very difficult for them because either the safari was
frightening and it was causing unnatural behavior or the researchers did not spend enough time
observing them in order to get enough knowledge on them. Leakey had faith ... Show more content on

How Change Is A Essential Part Of Life
Change is a vital part of life, it allows us to grow and mature overtime. Whether you want to believe it
or not, we go through changes. We find different outlooks, styles and sometimes we may even change
our personality, or maturity level. My choices over the course of this semester have changed me for
the better. I started this class oblivious to the norms and traditions of a college English class. I must
admit that for the first few weeks I was shocked at how different college is from my simple high
school English course.
I now have a different outlook on life. At the beginning of the semester I wasn t sure whether or not I
wanted to further my education at a four year university, or successfully complete my AA degree and
then enter a police academy. I can now say that I know my path and I can t wait to walk it, I m glad
that this change has happened in my life. Additionally, the next thing that has changed is my maturity
level. I didn t take this class as serious as I should have in the beginning and my grade reflected that. I
changed my attitude toward the course by concentrating more on the instructions and making sure that
I followed them to the best of my ability.
I wrote about the emotion desire in an essay earlier this semester, while I do feel this emotion daily
there is another emotion that stays prevalent in my mind. Pride is something that is a big part of my
personality, it is both a positive and a negative. Everyone needs at least some pride or else they

The Importance Of Writing And Technology
Writing and Technology Believe it or not, writing takes place in almost all aspects of our everyday
life. As a future teacher, it will be important that I have the best education to enhance my student s
writing. I will need to understand what type of learners my students are and how to accommodate
writing based on each learner. Standards also play an important role in student writing, standards help
guide students to the grade level in which they need to be. Various factors can impact a student s
writing abilities, I ve found many online tools that will help me teach writing and help my students
become motivated in writing. The first online tool, Education World, provides various tools, such as
Google Docs, 3D Writer, Button Talk, and Poetry Forge. This site will benefit all types of learners.
Google Docs benefits visual learners and auditory learners because students will be able to see what is
being typed or listen to what is being typed. This standard could align with Text Types and Purposes,
this tool could help students write narratives, opinion pieces, or even informative pieces. This tool will
also meet Production and Distribution of Writing in the sense that students can use technology to
produce writing and collaborate with others. This site could be used across all content areas. Students
can take notes on Google Docs and share their notes with a peer if need be. Education World provides
various tools and writing resources that will be beneficial for student

An Organizing Framework for Interprofessional Global Health Education
Author Name, University Affiliation, Country
Introduction
G lobal health is an extremely complex ... area of study, research and practice that places a priority on
improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide. Global health emphasizes
transnational health issues, determinants and solutions; involves many disciplines within and beyond
the health sciences and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration; and is a synthesis of population based
prevention with individual level care (Koplan et al. 2009, 3). Beaglehole and Bonita (2010) proposed
that global health is a collaborative trans national research and action for promoting health for all. ...

During an intercultural teaching experience in Japan in 2004 to 2005, the author had previous
experience in developing and teaching an international nursing course. These experiences provided
insight into the complexity of global health and the need to bring disparate but related concepts into a
meaningful whole. Redwood Campbell et al. (2011) described an organizing framework for global
health curricula in family medicine. The aim was to identify and incorporate key educational elements
to achieve desired global health education outcomes. Although the framework guides the curriculum
for family medicine, an expanded framework is needed with an interprofessional focus. The purpose
of this paper is to (a) present an organizing framework for interprofessional global health
courses/curricula, (b) describe the primary and secondary characteristics that are distinct to global
health , and (c) discuss how the primary and secondary characteristics are reflected in the organizing
framework.
The Organizing Framework
Recently, there have been recommendations for the incorporation of systems thinking into global
health. Russell et al. (2014) contended that systems thinking offers the principles and methods
necessary to address existing and future health challenges in global health. Thus, there is justification
for using open systems theory as the basis for the organizing framework which consists of input,
process, output, and a feedback loop. The concepts in

Dipper let out a soft yawn, feeling fresh air from around him enter his lungs. He felt the bark against

Western Society The Five Year Plans Analysis
To consolidate his power in the communist government, Stalin launched the five year plans with a
mission to increase the total industrial output by 250 percent and agricultural production by 150
percent. His government thought that economic development will help U.S.S.R to catch up with the
West. As part of this economic program, he ordered the collectivization of agriculture. His order led to
an economic disaster and shortage of basic necessities as large numbers of peasants opposed to the
change slaughtered their animals and burned the crops rather than turn them over to the state. This
resulted in a severe decrease in agricultural output throughout the years. (A History of Western

Effective Parenting-Early Development, Various Parenting...
Parents act as the first teachers in a child s life. Both mothers and fathers can have very unique
influences on their children. Mothers and fathers parent differently, however, both maternal and
paternal figures are essential in healthy development. Together both parents teach their children many
things including how to eat, walk, talk and underlying emotions such as love, trust and happiness.
Oppositely parents may also teach their kids, often unknowing of the effects they are causing, distrust,
anger, and contempt. Every parent parents differently using various methods, styles, and techniques.

There are different forms of attachment. Secure attachment has been achieved when the mother (or
whomever is the primary care giver to which they have attached, using mother as an example) leaves
and the child misses her and tries to be near her when she returns again. Secure attachment is ideally
what is healthy for the child. Insecure attachment develops when the attachment is not secure. There
are two types of insecure attachment, avoidant and ambivalent. Insecure avoidant attachment is
present when the child is anxious and avoids their mother upon her return. Insecure ambivalent
attachment is present when the child is anxious at her departure, however has mixed emotions upon
her return; in this case the child would want to seek her closeness but fight it at the same time. Every
parent is different in how they raise their children. The set manner with which a parent decides to raise
its child would be their parenting style. There are various parenting styles. In a household where an
authoritarian parent reigns strict rules are set forth and expected to be followed explicitly, orders are
given often without a reason just an explanation that they must be followed; in these homes children
have very little rights with great amounts of responsibility. Authoritative parents, on the other hand,
still have consistent rules which the reasoning s for are typically explained, however love and care for

The Works of Christina Rossetti
There comes a time in life, when one realizes what is important. To some, the most important things in
life come in a diamond embedded suitcase filled with the grand jewels of life: money, love, and
leaving legacies. People seem to have one simple thought, that having money and love is the most
important thing in life. However, that is not the case for Christina Rossetti. Her views on life are very
realistic and matter of fact. She believes earthly gifts and human emotions are not important because
none of it is permanent. She does not need money or love, and she does not care if she is remembered.
Rossetti reveals what is most important to her her relationship with God, not her relationship with
humanity. Rossetti displays what is important to her through her humble plea in Song . In the poem,
she is neither depressed, nor joyful; she simply states what she believes. She believes that memorials
and placing flowers on graves are not for the ones who are deceased, but for those they leave behind.
She asks them not to show her any special attention, she will be dead and in death, one cannot feel,
hear, speak, or think; therefore she will not be able to acknowledge their gestures. Her lack of
sympathy towards her loved ones shows her detachment to material items as she rejects the love she
will receive at the time of her death. Keeping the memory of a lost loved one is a way for the living to
keep the deceased alive. When thinking of death, most are afraid that no one

The Buddha And The Founder Of Buddhism
After reading the book and doing some online research which you can check below under sources

Siddhartha also known as the Buddha the founder of Buddhism. And one of the stories from a
different religion that I can compare to the story of Siddhartha Gautama Is the story of Jesus Christ.
The founder of Christianity and is the most famous myth in Christian religion. I can compare both
because of the way Buddha and Jesus was born. They both came from a different country and womb
but they do have the similarities of how they were both born. Like Jesus, Siddhartha was believed to
be a miracle child from an unknown deity. As for Jesus case, it was the ... Show more content on

They were both a prince and both of them had married have a family and a child. Which they both
abandoned and casted away from after their eyes had been opened to the reality of the world. They
both traveled seeking for teachings, truth, enlightenment, liberation and inner peace. They both
practiced extreme asceticism, begged for food and last but not least they found the answers they ve
been looking for while they re meditating. In Buddha s case, he sat under the Bodhi tree. Starving and
weakening and while meditating he reached a state of profound understanding, called his Awakening,
or Enlightenment (bodhi) . He saw suffering, aging, and death in a new way, recognizing them as an
inevitable part of life, but also seeing the possibility of release . (Molloy, 2012) This is where
Siddhartha got the name Buddha means the Awaken One taken from a Sanskrit word to wake up . On

Our Time by John Edgar Wideman is a homage to his brother, who is currently incarcerated for
robbery and murder. Wideman goes into the depths of the jail where his brother is currently
incarcerated and the family dynamics that he believes put him there. Robby s best friend and the
leader of his gang Garth was killed due to negligence and that is where Robby s downward spiral
began. His brother Robby was the youngest of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The family dynamics stated, his privacy and mine had been exclusive (Wideman 674). So for them to
open up to each other about the mistakes they have both made was hard but eventually all the pieces
fell into place. In order to develop their bond they needed to open up and express to each other their
issues. If they were to avoid each other John would have never fully developed his writing skills. The
first topic they covered was the lies Robby has told over the years. Like how he staged a robbery in his
own house and stole a TV to pawn for money for drugs. John still feels as though he can relate with
his brother on a new level of trust and respect. But where was I? Who was I? How did I miss so much
(Wideman 687)? John admits to himself here that the situation with Robby had gotten so out of hand
for him and his family most of the time they chose to look away. He has blocked so many wrongful
actions from his mind that Robby s confession made him realize all that he had been suppressing for
years. John feels like a hypocrite because when the TV was stolen his father in law bought him and his
wife a new one. With their homeowners insurance though they were refunded 100 dollars. Instead of
giving it to his father in law he chose to keep it. When the truth came out his father in law was hurt
and felt that John had manipulated the situation. Though this is a small mistake compared to Robby
and his crimes, Wideman begins to feel

The First Crusades During The Crusades
Jeet Kothari
Mr. Turner
Honors British Literature A
29 January 2016
The First Crusades The First Crusades were military planned missions planned by Christian leaders;
the proclaimed purpose was to recover Jerusalem as well as Antioch, which were in an area known as
the Holy Land, from the controls of Turks. The reason why they feature so prominently in history is
because they were one of the longest battles in history. All three of the Crusades lasted about 200
years. Additionally, the Crusades were a major reason for why Europe came out of the Dark Ages.
After 200 years of darkness, Europe had a rebirth.
The Crusades were not an early example of European colonization even if they did create some
kingdoms there for a while. ( The Crusades ). It has been argued that the knights who went
adventuring in the Crusades were the second and third sons of nobles who, because of European
inheritance rules, had little to look forward by staying in Europe. However, most of the people who
responded to the call to Crusade weren t knights at all; they were poor people. Secondly, most of
nobles who did go crusading were lords of grand estates. ( Crusades .) This analysis of people of the
Crusades ignores religious motivations. History has approached religions as occurrences. For instance,
the unpredictable environments of Mesopotamia and Egypt led to a belief in various types of Gods
which would help solve each of their problems. However, just as the world shape religion, religious

The influence of consequential ethics as an ethical framework (the greatest good for the greatest
number) opposes the ethical principle of deontology (i.e., the rightness of an act itself determines what
is right). Both of these impact the nursing profession. Modern social exchange theories are based on
the principle of utility. Read the assumptions of social exchange theory and consider how these would
affect the nurse patient relationship, compared to how these impact the nurse within the health care
environment. To what extent are all theories ethical? Is social exchange theory compatible with the

At the heart of his theory was the idea that people acted to maximize their rewards in their social
action. Social exchange theory includes the following concepts: success, stimulus, value, deprivation,
satiation, aggression, and approval. Homans defined each of these concepts explicitly in his book and
various articles. The success concept which he defines is the principle of reward. (Homans, 1983, p.
33) While stimulus is defined when a stimulus presents itself and it resembles a previously rewarded
activity, that individual is likely to repeat that action again. (Homans, 1950, Chapter 4) Homans
defined value as a system of rewards and punishments. (Homans, 1983, p. 32) Deprivation and
satiation was defined as the more often a reward has recently been received, the less valuable further
rewards become. And if forced for a long time to go without a certain reward, an individual will lose
interest and move on. (Homans, 1983, p. 33) Lastly, aggression and approval falls under the principle
of distributive justice. When behavior does not receive the expected reward the response is anger. Yet,
when the individual receives a greater reward than what is expected or does not receive punishment he
will be pleased. (Homans, 1950, Chapter 4). One of the expected outcomes by the application of this
theory would be linking client nurse interactive phenomena with client outcomes (Byrd, 2006, p. 271).

1.) In the article by Duchateau, Semmler Enoka, they explained the importance of the behavior of
single motor units that follow training. The Motor Unit is a vital part in both strength training and skill
training. The motor unit is comprised of a motor neuron in the spinal cord, its axon and all of the
fibers that innervates. Motor unit s main function is to transform synaptic input that is received by the
motor neuron. On average, 300 muscle fibers are innovated, however, the range can extend far beyond
that median number. Muscle fibers have many varieties that are affected through levels of fatigue,
force and contraction speed. The most important is the size of the motor neuron. The influence of the
size creates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, it is still unclear to researchers the actual affect adaptations have on motor recruitment and
coding. Many of the research in this article explained some of the findings on how strength and skill
training help performance through the usage of motor units. Mostly through learning about
submaximal and maximal contractions and the affects that using small motor neurons and large motor
neurons. Small motor neurons use more submaximal contractions whereas, maximal contraction use
large motor neurons. This article explained how surface EMG s are still the most effective way to
detect motor units through different types of contractions. Although through their finding EMG s did
not proved to be as effective in how they pick up motor output. Duchateau and Hainaut in one of their
studies talked about how there was a 7% increase in activation through the motor units produced in
hand muscles. Contrast to this, different muscles have different motor recruitment so it can vary in the
effectiveness. Also many of the studies had different amount of time training. Duchateau and Hainaut
did 6 weeks of strength training and Kamen and Knight did 12 weeks. The 10,000 hour rules teaches
us that the more we practice the better gains we receive. So naturally the adaptations used in Kamen
and Knight would be different because they received 6 more weeks of training. The studies did not

  • 3. Sage As A Master Of Economics His real name was Travis Sage, but everyone called him Sage. Sage earned a Bachelor Degree from Princeton, an MBA from the London School of Economics, and a law degree from Harvard. As a graduate student in Europe, he wrote a brilliant thesis that updated the guiding principles of the Austrian School of Economics with 21st century economic, social and political realities. The subsequent white papers he authored became the economic foundation that guided The Movement s macro and micro economic policy and regulation. With Sage in the background, Edward Birch and the Virginia State Legislature had coupled libertarian ideology with economic legislation, policy and regulation that was equal parts pragmatic and practical, while easy to explain to the bumper sticker mentality of Virginia voters. Since Edward Birch became governor, Sage s economic philosophy guided virtually all economic policy decisions in the state. In the hands of Sage, the Virginia economy was running white hot. Sage was also one of The Movement s founding fathers. He had been a close personal friend and business partner with Edward Birch s father. He was part of a team that carefully groomed Edward, preparing him every step of the way for his ascension through the spectrum of American political power. Sage s background was shrouded in secrecy his influence strictly behind the scenes, out of the media limelight. Under Sage s direction, The Movement operated as a parallel governing structure. • 4. The History Of The World Wide Web The history of the World Wide Web was created on August 6th, 1991 by Tim Berners Lee. (Bryant, 2012). Due to the creation of the World Wide Web, many things have changed. Websites have made everything either easier or more complicated. But, we will talk about the easier this world has gotten. Some websites that have made life easier are Facebook, Strayer University, Amazon, EBay, Google, Gmail, Yahoo, PayPal, Walmart, Schwan s, Myspace, Pogo, Trip Advisor, and Home Chef. These are just to name a few of the websites that have made our lives easier. I could not agree more, that technology is like the Devil to many households making parents divorce due to lack of person to person communication, and it makes partners want to have infidelities in their relationships. But, nonetheless, websites like the ones I listed above are to make our lives easier. We will start with Social Networking sites. Social Networking sites, like Facebook, and Myspace, are to bring people closer to each other from distances away. I have known of many relatives finding each other after many years of not knowing each other, due to adoption and other circumstances. They always help connect business to the users. You will always see ads on the sides of Facebook while playing a game, if it is not full screen, of business that you might like. Social Networking can be the cause of distraction with family as well. There was a report of a lady playing Farmville, a very popular game on Facebook and it used to ... Comparative Analysis of Two Producers Essay BAP210.1 Report Comparative Analysis of Two Producers Rochelle Heffernan (104371) The following report introduces two producers I draw inspiration from, and am influenced by; Rick Rubin and Ken Scott. Firstly to critically analyze their bodies of work we must first understand the role of a producer and what classifies an individual as a producer or engineer. A producer must be able to oversee and effectively manage the recording, they must be able to understand the bands vision, they must have an overall goal as to what they wish to produce with the band, they must be creatively innovative and true to the bands and their own style, they must effectively portray the story ... (2008) As a future engineer I found it befalling to discover that Rubin had little to no musical theory knowledge or any musical or engineering knowledge what so ever. So what is it that makes this man so success? Why can he of all people draw great performances from his clients? What makes Rick Rubin a Grammy winning engineer, an influential musical man? Producing such a diverse selection of musicians, Rubin is a listener before he is an engineer; refusing to work in an office setup he uses his historical L.A home to meet with musicians. Rubin believes that music isn t made behind a work desk or over the phone; music must first be experienced before it is produced. It can therefore be assumed that Rubin s successful career is due to underlining appreciation for the music he is producing. He doesn t know much about music, but he knows what works and this pro found style of engineering through listening rather than through use of techniques has built an almost instantly recognizable personal style that can be heard on each record he has worked on. An engraving on it in italicized black letters read: The universe is everywhere even within you. No one can own the universe. That quote from Somerled Knightly just about sums everything up, Norval said. He led the way into the lobby of the meditation center beyond which the unspoiled golden beach gleamed in the brilliant light of the three suns. In the distance, the cerulean ocean reflected the endless indigo sky. Under the shade of the umbrellas, Gnaritusonians lay languidly on the beach recliners enjoying an unrivaled ocean view, listening to music, or reading a good book. At the same time, parents watched over their rambunctious children to ensure that they did not stray too far. The gusts of wind carried the merriment of the children across the sandy shore and far out to sea. Surina and Norval crunched along the soft, fine sand through a maze of beach umbrellas to the shore s edge where the clear waters of the ocean lapped around and licked their black clogs. After traveling ten thousand light years across the Milky Way Galaxy, Surina had to pinch herself to make sure that she was indeed at the shoreline of a new world. She felt like a grain of sand that the powerful energy of the vast capricious ocean could swallow in an instant. However, the undulating waves and salty breeze whispered sweet messages of welcome and swept her into the ocean of endless possibilities. • 12. Importance Of Animals In Captivity Almost every human being has been to a zoo or an aquarium. Everyone has seen how the animals are in small cages and people enjoy watching them not even caring to take into consideration how the animal may feel. But then who cares right? It is fun to go to a zoo and an aquarium and have a family day and spend money at these institutions not caring what is really going on around them. Animals really suffer by being in a captive environment. To be captive means to be confined to only one place, I personally would not like to be confined to one area my whole life. Although some people may argue that zoos save endangered species by placing them in a captive environment, safe from poacher, starvation, and predators. Animals should not be captive. Animals should be free instead of being captive for human enjoyment and profit because animals have rights, animals in captivity suffer from stress, confinement, and boredom, and when zoos become overpopulated some zoos will outright kill the surplus of animals. First of all, taking an animal out of their natural habitat to be held in tanks and cages is extremely cruel. Animals should have some sort of rights. Animals should have the right to not be held captive for public enjoyment and profit. According to Bob Oraboana, Every conscious being has interests that should be respected. • 15. Interesting Features of Ancient Civilizations Question: Try to imagine what it was like to live during that time and in that place. What was it that caused the transition from Neolithic life to civilization? What were some of the major features of those civilizations that you found interesting? One of the most interesting features of ancient civilizations was the extent to which topography influenced cultural worldviews and practices. For example, in the case of the Sumerians, they possessed a highly evolved and complex culture, as manifested in the philosophical depth of their Epic of Gilgamesh. However, the openness of the land in which they lived to invaders made them vulnerable as did the propensity of the land to catastrophic flooding. This may be one of the reasons why they did not create as politically and architecturally complex a society as Egypt or Greece. It also likely affected the relatively dark worldview expressed in Gilgamesh. However, despite the susceptibility to invasions, subsequent civilizations in the area, like the Babylonians, created ways of tracking the stars and other valuable methods of observing and interpreting the world in a scientific fashion that were to become the building blocks of modern civilization in other areas. In contrast to Mesopotamia, Egypt had the advantage of a regular, predictable source of fertilization of its soil in the form of the Nile. This stable source of food enabled the creation of one of the world s great empires. The pharaoh was responsible for all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To some, the most important things in life come in a diamond embedded suitcase filled with the grand jewels of life: money, love, and leaving legacies. People seem to have one simple thought, that having money and love is the most important thing in life. However, that is not the case for Christina Rossetti. Her views on life are very realistic and matter of fact. She believes earthly gifts and human emotions are not important because none of it is permanent. She does not need money or love, and she does not care if she is remembered. Rossetti reveals what is most important to her her relationship with God, not her relationship with humanity. Rossetti displays what is important to her through her humble plea in Song . In the poem, she is neither depressed, nor joyful; she simply states what she believes. She believes that memorials and placing flowers on graves are not for the ones who are deceased, but for those they leave behind. She asks them not to show her any special attention, she will be dead and in death, one cannot feel, hear, speak, or think; therefore she will not be able to acknowledge their gestures. Her lack of sympathy towards her loved ones shows her detachment to material items as she rejects the love she will receive at the time of her death. Keeping the memory of a lost loved one is a way for the living to keep the deceased alive. When thinking of death, most are afraid that no one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

John still feels as though he can relate with his brother on a new level of trust and respect. But where was I? Who was I? How did I miss so much (Wideman 687)? John admits to himself here that the situation with Robby had gotten so out of hand for him and his family most of the time they chose to look away. He has blocked so many wrongful actions from his mind that Robby s confession made him realize all that he had been suppressing for years. John feels like a hypocrite because when the TV was stolen his father in law bought him and his wife a new one. With their homeowners insurance though they were refunded 100 dollars. Instead of giving it to his father in law he chose to keep it. When the truth came out his father in law was hurt and felt that John had manipulated the situation. Though this is a small mistake compared to Robby and his crimes, Wideman begins to feel ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The First Crusades During The Crusades Jeet Kothari Mr. Turner Honors British Literature A 29 January 2016 The First Crusades The First Crusades were military planned missions planned by Christian leaders; the proclaimed purpose was to recover Jerusalem as well as Antioch, which were in an area known as the Holy Land, from the controls of Turks. The reason why they feature so prominently in history is because they were one of the longest battles in history. All three of the Crusades lasted about 200 years. Additionally, the Crusades were a major reason for why Europe came out of the Dark Ages. After 200 years of darkness, Europe had a rebirth. The Crusades were not an early example of European colonization even if they did create some kingdoms there for a while. ( The Crusades ). It has been argued that the knights who went adventuring in the Crusades were the second and third sons of nobles who, because of European inheritance rules, had little to look forward by staying in Europe. However, most of the people who responded to the call to Crusade weren t knights at all; they were poor people. Secondly, most of nobles who did go crusading were lords of grand estates. ( Crusades .) This analysis of people of the Crusades ignores religious motivations. History has approached religions as occurrences. For instance, the unpredictable environments of Mesopotamia and Egypt led to a belief in various types of Gods which would help solve each of their problems. However, just as the world shape religion, religious ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Is social exchange theory compatible with the values of... The influence of consequential ethics as an ethical framework (the greatest good for the greatest number) opposes the ethical principle of deontology (i.e., the rightness of an act itself determines what is right). Both of these impact the nursing profession. Modern social exchange theories are based on the principle of utility. Read the assumptions of social exchange theory and consider how these would affect the nurse patient relationship, compared to how these impact the nurse within the health care environment. To what extent are all theories ethical? Is social exchange theory compatible with the values of the nursing profession? Social exchange theory is a social psychological and sociological perspective that explains social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the heart of his theory was the idea that people acted to maximize their rewards in their social action. Social exchange theory includes the following concepts: success, stimulus, value, deprivation, satiation, aggression, and approval. Homans defined each of these concepts explicitly in his book and various articles. The success concept which he defines is the principle of reward. (Homans, 1983, p. 33) While stimulus is defined when a stimulus presents itself and it resembles a previously rewarded activity, that individual is likely to repeat that action again. (Homans, 1950, Chapter 4) Homans defined value as a system of rewards and punishments. (Homans, 1983, p. 32) Deprivation and satiation was defined as the more often a reward has recently been received, the less valuable further rewards become. And if forced for a long time to go without a certain reward, an individual will lose interest and move on. (Homans, 1983, p. 33) Lastly, aggression and approval falls under the principle of distributive justice. When behavior does not receive the expected reward the response is anger. Yet, when the individual receives a greater reward than what is expected or does not receive punishment he will be pleased. (Homans, 1950, Chapter 4). One of the expected outcomes by the application of this theory would be linking client nurse interactive phenomena with client outcomes (Byrd, 2006, p. 271). During this research Dr ... • 33. Submaximal Contraction PER 415 Dr. Kyle Ryan 1.) In the article by Duchateau, Semmler Enoka, they explained the importance of the behavior of single motor units that follow training. The Motor Unit is a vital part in both strength training and skill training. The motor unit is comprised of a motor neuron in the spinal cord, its axon and all of the fibers that innervates. Motor unit s main function is to transform synaptic input that is received by the motor neuron. On average, 300 muscle fibers are innovated, however, the range can extend far beyond that median number. Muscle fibers have many varieties that are affected through levels of fatigue, force and contraction speed. The most important is the size of the motor neuron. The influence of the size creates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, it is still unclear to researchers the actual affect adaptations have on motor recruitment and coding. Many of the research in this article explained some of the findings on how strength and skill training help performance through the usage of motor units. Mostly through learning about submaximal and maximal contractions and the affects that using small motor neurons and large motor neurons. Small motor neurons use more submaximal contractions whereas, maximal contraction use large motor neurons. This article explained how surface EMG s are still the most effective way to detect motor units through different types of contractions. Although through their finding EMG s did not proved to be as effective in how they pick up motor output. Duchateau and Hainaut in one of their studies talked about how there was a 7% increase in activation through the motor units produced in hand muscles. Contrast to this, different muscles have different motor recruitment so it can vary in the effectiveness. Also many of the studies had different amount of time training. Duchateau and Hainaut did 6 weeks of strength training and Kamen and Knight did 12 weeks. The 10,000 hour rules teaches us that the more we practice the better gains we receive. So naturally the adaptations used in Kamen and Knight would be different because they received 6 more weeks of training. The studies did not have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
