Because of the fact that BHC is a new venture ; the risk is actually high. Mortgage rate appears to
compensate for the risk.When BHC had acquired $2,275,000 with a mortgage.
When we look at the interest coverage between 75 percent occupancy and 50 percent occupancy of
mortgage financing, it is possible to say that at 50% earnings do not cover the interest costs. Cash
flows from operations (Earning before interest and tax plus depreciation) do not cover costs and
principal repayments.

In addition ; Break even revenue with mortgage financing. If the breakeven sales were achieved,
depreciation of $320,000 will not require a cash outflow and will cover the principal repayment of
$180 , $160 for the furnishings and $49,000 for the mortgage in the first year.

These two situations strongly relate to each other, how people of all sorts of background come to
California in hopes of making a better life, but also many failed dreams once they see how hard it is.
Even though the two accounts and stories aren t on the same timeframe, they still strongly support
each other in different contexts. The paradox of the California Dream is very evident in both stories,
how getting rich through the gold rush was actually very hard due to the physical work, or how the
growth of population and economy of California seemed positive, was also deemed negative. With
these facts and examples through research and real accounts, the Californian Dream could easily be

DEFINING ISLAMIC WAY OF WARFARE AND ITS COMPARISON WITH AL
QAEDA DOCTRINE, by Major Intekhab Haider Khan, 85 pages.
With the rise of Al Qaeda and like minded militant groups, there have been many discussions and
misrepresentations of the term Islamic way of warfare. It is important to understand that anything, to
be qualified as Islamic, has to have a reference from the core sources of Islam, i.e. the Quran, and the
practices and sayings of Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH). This research is focused to define an Islamic way of warfare based on these fundamental
sources, with a view to identifying whether Al Qaeda is truly Islamic or not.
This thesis identifies that Islam does not dictate minor tactical matters of warfare, rather focuses its
guidance on warfare in two broad categories: the just cause for waging war, and limited restrictions on
conduct during the war.
