Sniper Rifle Essay
This week s article over the knight s armament M110 a new breed of sniper rifle s . This rifle would be
is essentially a AR 10 but would take on the advancements of the M16A2 rifle and maintain 60% parts
compatibility. Released in the early 1990s, the SR 25 Match Rifle was equipped with a 24 inch
Remington 5R match grade barrel the same barrel blanks used on the M24 sniper rifle. The heavy
barrel was free floating with a fiberglass handguard. This rifle is equipped with a flat top upper
receiver with the Mil Spec stander 1913 rail and the receivers were made from aluminum extrusions.
The rifle is equipped with a 2 stage match grade trigger. The bolt carrier group kept with the original
AR 10 in that it was chrome plated and it also sported the captive firing pin retainer pin. This is not a
mass produced rifle. The uppers and lowers were mated together and had matching serial numbers to
identify them. If you look at the right side of the M110 rifle receiver. You will notice the ambidextrous

enhancements. The stock on the M110 is adjustable for length with a dial on the rear allowing for the
length to be increased or decreased as desired. The stock has one moveable sling swivel mount on the
bottom rear plus two QD mounts on the front of the stock on each side. The receiver is manufactured

Company Background Of Sears Company Essay
COMPANY BACKGROUND Sears was founded by Richard Sears in 1886 by selling watches
(http://searsholdings.com/about/sears/sears history), and was initially known as R.W. Sears Watch
Company. Eventually he started working with Alvah C. Roebuck, and the two created Sears, Roebuck
and Company. Over time Sears expanded and became a household name, carrying brands such as
Kenmore and Craftsman, which only made the Sears name stronger. Sears, Roebuck and Company
offers a wide range of home merchandise, appliances, clothing and automotive products and services.
These are done through Sears branded and affiliated full line and specialty retail stores
(http://searsholdings.com/about/sears). Eventually, Sears ventured into the ecommerce market, where
they offer specialty catalogues and carry a larger variety of products and services offered through
Sears, Roebuck and through third party vendors. OUR DEFINITION OF STRATEGIC STAFFING
Sears Holding Corporation firmly believes that strategic staffing means being able to forecast staffing

An Analysis Of Dead Mans Path And Dead Men s Path
Humans are egotistical; we are narrow minded and we disregard others perspectives. We are critical of
others and their values, determined to force our own values upon them. Without considering the
feelings and beliefs of others, it s in our human nature to manipulate others to feed our ego and satisfy
our own interests and desires. These ideas are expressed in Chinua Achebe s Dead Men s Path and
Stephen King s Boogeyman . Both Michael Obi and Lester Billings let their self image and personal
beliefs cloud their judgement. The school that Obi tried to improve by implementing his own values
and disregarding the natives , and the Boogeyman that Billings refuses to accept, satisfies the
characters egos without considering the consequences.
Michael Obi was appointed headmaster of a school in Ndume, Ndume Central School. He is a
foreigner in their land and does not share the same views as the natives. Obi sees himself as a
progressive man; he hopes to modernize their school and their traditions. In Obi s point of view,
Ndume School was backward in every sense of the word (Achebe 1). He hoped to turn the school into
what he perceived as a place of beauty . Driven by his motives to reform the school and appeal to his
personal standard, he is not content with the path the locals use to reach the burial ground. Obi orders
that the path not be used anymore that was some time ago. But it will not be used now (Achebe 2). He
not only disregards the importance of the path for the natives, but he is more concerned for the
inspection of the school, what will the Government Education Officer think of this when he comes to
inspect the school next week? . In his ignorance, he fails to consider the feelings and traditions of the
natives, solely focused on implementing his views. He is unable to discern that the path serves more
than a walking purpose to the natives, I would suggest your constructing another path, skirting our
premises. His failure to regard for the spiritual significance of the path to the villagers, results in great
conflict between the progressive foreigner and the traditional natives. As a result of his disregard for
the natives traditions and values, as well as their conflicting

Stress-Induced Cardiomyopathy Research Paper
From birth to death, loss is an inevitable part of each person`s lifetime. Most people are loved as soon
they come into this world, but are loved by many more when they go. Nonetheless, in the journey of
life, people will face obstacles that will shape them into different people than they were yesterday, and
most people will find themselves loving another person at one point in time. However, certain
circumstances, such as death or a breakup, can cause a person to feel like the entire world is crashing
down upon his or her shoulders. Some deaths can be signaled by sickness or old age, but like
anything, some do come unexpectedly. The same trend goes for breakups as well. Sometimes, a
breakup can come as a shock to one person or both people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes, mourning is the best way for someone to accept the reality of the situation they are in.
Research has shown that if a person goes through a loss of any kind, they will most likely go through
what has been termed as the stages of grief. In some cases, the loss of a loved one could be seen from
a distance, but in other cases, it can leave a person blindsided. After a loss of a loved one, those
affected by it will often find themselves in denial, and wondering why it happened or what they
could`ve done to change the outcome. Then, that feeling of helplessness and confusion will turn into
anger, which can be dangerous to those surrounding the person, as well as the person`s own emotional
health. But after the feelings of rage settle, some people will find themselves beginning to accept that
someone whom they loved has left their lives. This is the one stage of grief that can linger for a very
long time, and some people will never be able to get out of this stage, which can eventually lead to
depression and other emotional issues. But after a person affected has his or her required amount time
to mourn the loss, he or she may finally be able to completely accept the situation and move on with
their individual lives.
Altogether, losses can prompt many physical and emotional problems to those who experience them.
Those who are affected by a loss of a loved one will often experience

The Relationship Of Tax Avoidance With Corporate Social...
There is an ongoing debate on the relationship of tax avoidance with corporate social responsibility
(CSR) and ethical behaviour of companies. Specifically, corporate social responsibility can be defined
as companies undertake the responsibility for social welfare and development (Matten and Moon,
2008). For ethical behaviour, it is referred to govern the actions of individuals and organizations in the
business under contemporary standards (Epstein, 1998). Moreover, this is the difference between tax
avoidance, which companies use appropriate methods to reduce the amount of tax within the law, and
tax evasion, which can be defined as illegal to reduce taxes (Hasseldine and Morris, 2013). According
to US Treasury (2009), each year the US government may lose more than $345 billion revenue
because of a variety of tax avoidance. Moreover, the UK government also faces the problem of losing
tax, at £40 billion each year (HM Revenue and Customs, 2010). In recent years, an increasing number
of governments, media, and non government organizations claim that corporate tax avoidance is not
conducive to the development of society and ethical behaviour of enterprises. The aims of this essay
are to research the motivations of corporate tax avoidance, and discusses to a large extent corporate
social responsibility and ethical behaviour of firms is in conflict with tax avoidance, even though they
have some consistency. The first section of the essay will research the motivations of

The Music Of The Jazz Music
Have you ever appreciate a really nice sound in your life? This is something funny for me because I
love the Jazz music and when I have the opportunity to make my concert review, I thought that the
best opinion that I can give you is about the jazz music. I was checking around because I did not have
the opportunity to see an event of jazz music here in Reno so I checked in YouTube and I choose one
of the most incredible concerts that I have never seen in my life. The international Jazz Day. One of
the most important days that many people are joining around the world and they are sharing their
experiences and their passion for the music. People do not discriminate that day, people do not see the
music as before, people are one and they are sharing together one of the best nights that they will not
forget in their life. This day is the International Jazz day and there is no problem because the jazz is
spontaneous and share the most beauty thing with you.
To be honest I was so fascinated when I was seeing the musicians with heir expressions and their
passion. They are not the same when they are playing their instruments. They are other people from
other world and they enjoy the moment and have fun because they love what they do. I can hear
sounds with a tempo very regularly and passionate. I can see that the tempo for them is something
very important because when they are playing, especially the bass master is moving his head at the
same time when he is playing. I think, this

The Environmental Impact Of The Borneo Lowland Rainforests
Borneo as an island is the third largest island in the world, being just 1% of the world s territory yet
holds approximately 6% of the world s biodiversity in its tropical rainforests. Borneo is a global
ecoregion made up of 2 terrestrial ecoregions; Borneo Lowland rainforests and Borneo Montane
rainforests. This environmental impact report is focused on the Borneo Lowland Rainforest. The
Borneo lowland rainforest is located in South East Asia and routes through parts of Indonesia and
Malaysia, and is also located north of Australia. It includes a large diversity of habitats such as, large
areas of karst (barren limestone plateaus with caves, sinkholes, and gullies), and a high altitude swamp
forest.
The Borneo lowland rainforests are defined as the areas that lie around mountains and below their
level. Borneo lowland rainforests contain 10,000 plant species, 380 bird species and 15,000 mammal
species. There is no distinct borders that would outline Borneo s Lowland Rainforests, but an
approximate estimate suggests the total area being around 420,000 km2. From those statistics it is
estimated the lowland forest takes up around 57% of Borneo s total land. It lies within the tropical
monsoon climate zone. The Borneo Lowland Rainforest is evidently a rainforest. Its features include a
stable climate throughout the year with a huge amount of rainfall, with the monthly rainfall being
beyond 200mm though out the year. The average daily temperature is 31 degrees Celsius

The Effects Of Positive And Negative Police Relations
The Effect of Positive and Negative Police Community Relations
Anastasia Allen
American Public Community System
An understanding of police community relations is crucial because both positive and negative police
relations can greatly impact policing. Positive or negative police community relations can result from
a variety of factors including cooperation, race issues, corruption, fear or assurance of police, and
violence. When the community and police relations are positive, the police better understand the
community s needs and the community is more inclined to report crimes and aid the police. When
community and police relations are negative, the police do not understand the community s needs
which leads the pubic, especially those who experience high levels of crime, to feel that the police do
more harm than good.
Throughout the 20th century there have been major issues relating to poor police community
relationships. In more recent years they have been numerous problems with the police community
relations that have led to difficult situations including the Rodney King beating and the 1992 LA riots,
the Timothy Thomas shooting and the 2001 Cincinnati riots, as well as the more recent Michael
Brown shooting and 2014 Ferguson riots. In all of these situations the police community relationship
was strained and after a final straw event, rioting erupted to force a change. As seen with these
examples, many of the most explosive events resulting from poor

Kubla Khan and Ode on Grecian Urn Essay
Although both Kubla Khan, by Samuel Coleridge and Ode on Grecian Urn, by John Keats are poems
originating from the poets inspiration from historical figure, the two poems convey different messages
through their respective metaphors. While Coleridge emphasizes on the process of creating a
Romantic poem, Keats expresses his opinion about art by carefully examining the details of the
Grecian urn. In Kubla Khan, Coleridge expresses his desire to use the inspirations from nature to
create his own Paradise of poetry (54, p.1634). In the first stanza, Coleridge creates an exotic oriental
garden, where the trees, gardens, hills, and the Alph river, together present the beauty of Mother
Nature (3, p.1633). Here, the poet carefully ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the formation of a rare device , symbolizing his masterpiece of poetry, Coleridge acknowledges
that poetry forms through the combination of nature and human perception. In the end, Coleridge
demands the readers to beware (49, p.1634) of the power of the inspired poet, who recreates his own
sunny dome (47, p.1634) in the protection of a circle round him thrice (51, p.1634). The energy from
nature is eventually transferred to the poet, the poet to use his imagination to create his own Paradise
(54, p.1634), which resembles Xanadu of Kubla Khan. Through the metaphors developing in the
poem, Coleridge pieces together the process a Romantic poet creates a poem from the inspiration of a
nature scene. Keats, on the other hand, uses the Ode on a Grecian Urn to express his perspective on art
by examining the characters on the urn from either an ideal or realistic perspective. In the beginning,
Keats asks questions regarding the mad pursuit (9, p.1847) of the people on the Grecian urn. As the
Grecian urn exists outside of time, Keats creates a paradox for the human figures on the urn because
they do not confront aging but neither experience time; Keats then further discusses the paradox in the
preceding stanzas of the poem. In the second and third stanza, Keats examines the picture of the piper
playing to his lover beneath the trees (15, p.1847) and expresses that their love is far above (28,
p.1848) all human passion. Even though

They are many portrayals of the Media. They can be used to uncover the truth or be used to convince
the public of somebody else s opinion. The Novel Room by Emma Donoghue portrays the
circumstances of an extreme kidnaping. After Ma and Jack escape they enter a world that wants to
know everything about them. When Ma and Jack leave the Room they are greeted by the media.
Through the eyes of Jack the media does not care about the actual story or the suffering Jack and Ma

hero who awakened Saturday to a new world (215). The article seems to only pay attention to Jack, as

Coming Of Age In Mississippi Sparknotes
I am reading the book, Coming of Age in Mississippi. This book is written by Anne Moody, it covers
most of Anne Moody s life living period from four years old until the time she steps into college. The
book is divided into four parts: Childhood when she was young, how her family struggled to make a
living under the control of white people. She also starts to work for some white families since she
attends fourth grade. High school and college she keeps working for white families, there also some

Compare And Contrast Islam And Christianity
The religions of Islam and Christianity have been widespread influencers throughout history. Both
religions share common teachings, as well as having contrasts. Their similarities include worshipping
only one god, revering the same early prophets such as Jesus, following a set of commandments,
believing in a day of judgement, and having a concept of heaven and hell. Their differences include
having different founders, the concept of sin, and the resurrection of Jesus. Islam has also given many
contributions to Western Civilization, such as science, math, medicine, and philosophy. One of Islam
and Christianity s similarities is worshipping only one god. Both faiths are monotheistic However,
their beliefs in the way in which god is expressed is different. In Christianity, god is represented
through the trinity. According to the BBC, The Bible taught that Christians were to worship Father and
Son and Holy Spirit. It also taught that Christians should only worship God. Finally, it taught that
there was only one God. In Islam, there is no concept of a trinity, and they believe in the oneness of
god, The most fundamental teaching of Islam is to believe in the Oneness of God, in the sense of His
being the only Creator, Preserver, Nourisher, etc (Why Islam 1). In both Christianity and Islam, they
revere the same early prophets. Some of these prophets include Abraham, Moses, and John the
Baptist. Both religions consider Jesus as a prophet as well, but Jesus role in the

The Extent of Protection for Women Against Male Violence...
DISCUSS THE EXTENT OF PROTECTION FOR WOMEN AGAINST MALE VIOLENCE BY
THE STATE. For this essay I am going to look at Domestic Violence against women and what the
State is doing to protect them. Domestic Violence is now a well known global occurrence affecting not
only women but also their children too. Violence against woman has been around since the dawn of
time. We have all seen cartoon pictures of the caveman dragging his mate behind him by her hair. It
was just something that men did. Woman had no protection against men especially if they were
married to their attacker. For the first 75 years of the 20th century women were seen as meek and
subservient to their men and were also owned by those men. Men had a social right to keep ... Show

Violence is attributed to the lower/working classes or black social groups. Sylvia Walby has attacked
this approach by saying that this is not the case. Not all under educated, low paid or low status men go
out and rape and abuse. Radical feminists see domestic violence as a widespread and classless act.
They see that men are expected to take the lead in a situation, they are supposed to be strong and
macho. They go to war and fight for their countries. Their strength is something to be looked up to not
down on. Their strength is their basis of power. The critics against this approach say that is does not
take into account class or race. Male violence is a form of social control and the state does not make
an attempt to control and eradicate it. The sate is run by men, for men, to protect men. Figures to show
the extent of male violence against women is difficult to truly estimate due to the large number of
abuse cases that are never reported to the police. Statistics that have been documented are alarming to
say the least. § 1 in 4 women may experience violence in their relationships with men (Women s Aid
Federation {England} report 1992) § Severe, repeated and systematic violence occurs in at least 5 of

The Rise and Fall of the Normandy Kingdom
Throughout history civilizations, as well as dynasties, come to gain power, and lose it after some
period of time. The same is true for the Norman dynasty of 1000 s to the 1100 s. During this time
period, William I had four sons and three of them took power after their father. After the third son, a
new dynasty came to power, thus bringing the end of the Norman dynasty after only sixty nine years
of power.
King William I, also known as King William the Conqueror, was the first Norman King of England.
He was the son of Robert I and his mistress Helvera which caused him some problems through his
life. King William came to power after Edward the Confessor, King Harold II, and Edgar the Aethling
fell, and William had to try and fix many problems caused by Edward the Confessor as well as his
successors. William the Conqueror had a document written called the Domesday Book in 1081, in
which he listed the owners of each land and how much it was worth and what taxes needed to be paid

The Mohammed And The Prophet
Also, in a longer hadith, the Prophet (pbuh) said that the salah (prayer) is a light, and charity is a
proof, and patience is illumination. In one hadith from al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, it is reported that
the Prophet (pbuh) said, None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves
for himself. In another hadith, the Prophet said Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day speak
good, or keep silent; and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour;
and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest. In another hadith, a man
asked the Prophet (pbuh) for counsel and the Messenger (pbuh) answered several times by saying Do
not become angry. From 40 Hadith Nawawi 24, the Prophet is reported saying that God said, O My
servants! I have forbidden dhulm (oppression) for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you,
so do not oppress one another. In another from Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) said, Do not envy
one another, and do not inflate prices for one another, and do not hate one another, and do not turn
away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade, but [rather] be slaves of Allah and

Hallucinogen Research Paper
Hallucinogen is a title commonly given to drugs that are mind altering. This category of drug includes
those which cause a variety of side effects, most commonly temporary distortions to one s view of
reality. Hallucinogens are commonly used for recreation, along with in some cultures as religious
practices ( What Is A Hallucinogen? ). The most common hallucinogens are LSD, Psilocybin, Peyote,
and DMT. All five of these are plant based substances ( Hallucinogens ). They also each fall under the
classification of an alkaloid. Alkaloids are commonly found in plants, and have not been proven to
serve any specific purpose among plants. Alkaloids can vary in structure, but always have a nitrogen

I personally believe that use of hallucinogens has already become fairly socially acceptable. I feel that
my generation is very open minded and is less likely to condemn others for controversial choices than
older generations. I feel that it should be socially acceptable, because everyone makes their own
choices. If someone is choosing to use hallucinogens on their own time for recreation, and they are not
hurting anyone else in the process, there is no reason they should be shamed for that choice. They
understand the consequences of their own actions, and can therefore be mature about it and deal with
said consequences. At the same time, those who use hallucinogens as a religious rite, such as some
southwestern native american tribes do, should not be frowned upon. Christians consume wine in
church as part of the eucharist. Nobody tells them that because alcohol is harmful to the human body,
they should not do it. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone else to condemn religious groups for
using hallucinogens. Everyone has the capability to make their own choices, whether for recreation or
for religious reasons. If no one is forcing a sheet of blotter paper onto one s tongue or putting peyote
in someone else s tea, I see no problem with use of hallucinogens from a social

Abstract This paper analyzes the goals and actions of Boeing by analyzing its critical success factors
as well as its strategic roadmap.
Introduction The Boeing Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers in the world. Rivaled only by
European giant Airbus in the aerospace industry, Boeing is a leader in research, design and
manufacture of commercial jet airliners, for commercial, industrial and military customers. Despite
enjoying immense success in its market and dominating an industry that solely recognizes engineering
excellence, it is crucial for Boeing to ensure continued growth through consistent strategy formulation

Steady Defense Business Growth The Boeing Company s defense business has been growing steadily
over the past few years. Revenues from the integrated defense system grew from $27,361 million in
2003 to $30,791 million in 2005. The defense business accounts for over 55% of the company s
revenues. Continued strong performance of this division of the Boeing Company would counter any
downturn in the commercial aircraft industry (DATAMONITOR).
Strong Growth from Developing Geographic Markets The Boeing Company has registered strong
growth in the developing markets in China, Oceania and Africa (Boeing Frontiers, Nov. 2005). For the
fiscal year 2005, revenues from China grew by 87.9%; revenues from Oceania grew by $32; and
revenues from Africa grew 61.8% over the 2004 fiscal year. These regions represent some of the
fastest growing economies of the world. The Boeing Company s growing market share in these
regions would boost the company revenues of the future (DATAMONITOR).
Strategic Analysis and Choice
The main objective of Boeing s strategy is to analyze the commercial aircraft industry, to understand
the demand that is present, and to formulate a solution that will fulfill that segment. Currently, there
are only two major players in the global market: Boeing and Airbus. Boeing is widely known as the
free market champion, while Airbus represents the not so free approach of the European Union s

Parenting Styles And Family Relationships
Parenting styles have been researched in many different journals and their role in the promotion of
healthy child attachment to family, friends and social settings. In particular this review will focus on
parenting styles and their correlation to parent child attachment. The review will focus on the four
main parenting styles authoritarian, authoritative, permissive and neglect and examine the
effectiveness of these parenting styles on parent child attachment. Then the review will further
examine these parenting styles on themes that emerged throughout the literature reviewed. The themes
are: the child s perception of parenting styles, family dynamic, psychological effects and children with
health issues. After examining the literature the main overarching conclusion is that authoritative
parenting is the most satisfactory parenting style in all of the reviewed literature and that authoritarian
and permissive parenting reflect negative parenting styles and don t promote positive parent child
attachment. Family Dynamic Parenting styles and family dynamics have been correlated in a study by
Matejevic, Todorovic, Jovanovic (2014) where they examine the correlation between balanced family
systems and authoritative parenting and unbalanced family systems and the appearance of
authoritarian or permissive parenting styles (Matejevic, Todorovic Jovanovic 2014 p. 433). The
research examines family systems with two variables which focus on the cohesion and flexibility of a

Why Are Honey Bees Disappearing
Honey bees in America are disappearing at a rapid rate but yet their is no solution. In Europe, the
union felt the bee population should be protected. The union placed a two year ban on two types of
pesticides , includes clothianidin and thiamethoxam. Scientists think that those are the leading causes
of the colony collapsing. Unfortunately the U.S. is still not taking action.

Essay on Analysis of Cavemen in the Hedges
Chase Thomas
Prof. Julia Elliot
English 282
November 15, 2011
The Cavemen in the Hedges The Cavemen in the Hedges is a short story that contains many
underlying themes of psychoanalytical theory. Themes of the id, a selfish, primal, version of one s self
concerned only with physical desires; the superego, part of a person s psyche that is only worried
about ideals and morals; and the ego, the rational part of the brain that attempts to satisfy both the id
and superego natures make up an immense proportion of the breakdown of this story. Repression and
other psychological defense mechanisms are also very important in the analysis as well. The first
display of the id is that of the cavemen themselves. Our cavemen are ... Show more content on

She lets the cleanliness of her once perfectly kept house go to pot. She no longer cares about reality or
morals and becomes lost to the raw desires of her primal nature. The next theme that is displayed in
The Cavemen in the Hedges is the superego. This is seen in several of our characters at times, but it is
without a doubt personified in the annoying neighbors, the Schaefers. Evan and Winsome are
described as New Age hippies and over friendly . Their dress reminds me of how a choir robe would
look. These two are the type of people that believe everything has a spirit and every creature should be
cared for. While having dinner with our main characters, Winsome begins to get teary eyed over
having found a newborn cavebaby that had died in their backyard. She shows compassion for this
abandoned creature, one of the greatest emotions expressed in terms of the superego. When Kim
declares that she doesn t understand how Winsome could possibly cry for these things and that they
are disgusting , Winsome thinks Kim is being judgmental. This is an archetypal viewpoint of the
superego, as she says this with almost a condescending tone in her voice. The Schaefers appear to be a
moral, sensitive couple that cares deeply for all manner of peoples and this supremely annoys Kim and
the narrator. The reason they are so put off by their neighbors is that they are uncomfortable with
themselves in comparison to the Schaefers. The Schaefers are happily married

The Consequences Of Selling Pancakes
Why I thought Selling Pancakes Was Better Than Going To Class With the arbitrary deadline closing
in, we the Student Spaceflight Experiment Program student body rushed to the scene to raise enough
funds for the trip to Cape Canaveral Florida by selling pancakes for three dollars on the beautiful
morning of Wednesday. Yet this decision had some gruesome consequences. Apart from missing first
period, we missed Ms. Jane Villanueva s English Composition class. The worse part is that we missed
an important lecture and received a zero in the gradebook for for class participation. It was worth it.
Not because we were able to skip class, but because we were able raise money for our project which is

Since Confederation, Relations Between The Canadian Federal
Since Confederation, relations between the Canadian federal government and the native people of
Canada have been strained due to the former existence of the Indian Residential School System.
Following the passage of the Indian Act, the first residential schools were established across Canada to
assimilate indigenous children into Canadian society through the forced adoption of European
customs at the expense of their own culture. During its tenure, approximately 150,000 indigenous
children were separated from their communities and families, and forcibly enrolled into residential
schools where many would be subjected to physical, and psychological abuses. Despite its malicious
practices and objective, the residential school system ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The articles of these treaties were often detrimental to the native people who partook since the
compensation provided for their lands was inadequate, often leaving them dispossessed of traditional
territories and dependent on a prejudiced federal government s aid. Consequently, many aboriginal
people were relocated to remote reserves where, despite being granted limited self government,
essential services were scarce and living conditions were deplorable. It was on the reserves that many
residential schools were built since the provision of education was a contingency specified by the
natives in exchange for their lands. Recognizing its historically unfair payment for native lands and its
failure to adequately deliver on the clauses outlined by the natives in the treaties, such as the supply of
quality education, the federal government has negotiated twenty six comprehensive land claims since
1973. These new treaties have restored native ownership to over 600,000 km of lost lands, transferred
capital exceeding $3.2 billion, and have upheld native ways of life including the right to self
government.
In addition to its recent negotiations regarding comprehensive land claim arrangements, the federal
government of Canada has made efforts to improve its financial aid for indigenous peoples. The
Constitution Act of 1867 stated that aboriginal affairs were to be placed under federal control thus
obliging the federal government to

What Is Artemis Fowl
The book Artemis Fowl is an adventurous book but I do not like the idea of fairies, trolls, and magic,
taking in consideration that I am 13 years old and I was reading books like that when I was 4, perhaps
I would have enjoyed it more then. Sure there are numerous people who enjoy the fictional, fantasy,
fairytale books but the storyline in Artemis Fowl is not my style and far from the non fictional,
romantic, and sports stories I prefer to read. There were a few interesting scraps in the book that
caught my attention like when Artemis was decoding the fairy book or when the troll broke into
Artemis s house but the remaining scraps left my mind befuddled because it got really confusing

The Food Guide Pyramid Is Good
The food guide pyramid plays an important role in the health education of the majority of people in
the United States. It is meant to guide the general healthy public in how to eat healthy to stay healthy.
It includes a wide variety of foods to provide a healthy range of nutrients that are needed daily. The
food guide pyramid is an excellent way to educate the public on how to eat healthy. The new food
guide pyramid also includes exercise. This is a way to universally educate people. The food guide

people to understand what they should be eating. The food guide pyramid is meant for people without

the vegetable group the fruit group; the milk, yogurt, and the cheese group; and the meat. Poultry, fish,
dry beans, eggs, and nuts group, and recommends sparing use of a sixth food group fats, oils, and
sweets. (Davis and Saltos, 1999, p37) This is very close to what has been used since then. In 1988 the
groups were formed into a picture that could show what they were trying to say. A pyramid was chose
with the smallest amount of foods in a group at the top of the pyramid and the largest group at the
bottom of the pyramid. The second editions of the dietary guidelines came out in 1985, the third in
1990, and the fourth in 1995. After 1995 there was a mandate that required that a new edition came
out every 5 years. The guidelines have not changed drastically over the years. (Davis and Saltos,
1999) Furthermore, scientists had found little evidence that a high intake of carbohydrates is
beneficial, since 1992 more and more research has shown that the USDA pyramid is grossly flawed.

pyramid provides misleading guidance. In short, not all fats are bad for you, and by no means are all

The Control Of Nature By John Mcphee

Red Earth Science
The Control of Nature Essay
In the book, The Control of Nature by John McPhee, one can see humans in a multitude of locations
attempting to control the various aspects of their natural environment. Furthermore, it is clear that the
three enduring understandings of Earth Science are present throughout the book as an ongoing theme.
The first, the idea that energy, from the Sun and from Earth s interior, drives all of Earth s cycles and
processes, can be interpreted in many different ways. However, in the different sections of the book,
one sees that the Sun can cause weather patterns and can lead to different outcomes. Additionally, the
energy, or power, resulting from the intense heat and pressure from the Earth s interior, can cause
volcanic eruptions. As for the idea that matter moves through Earth s spheres in cyclical processes,
over varying periods of time, and at different scales, one can see that water, land, plant matter, and
even molten rock come and go in a definite period, whether it is thirty years, or even centuries. In
regards to the third idea, that Earth s surfaces and processes are altered by human engineering, one can
see a plethora of examples in the book. The energy from the Sun and from Earth s interior and the
events that are caused from that energy can cause humans to alter the surfaces and processes of Earth
by building everything from levees to basins and can even cause humans to make an attempt at
cooling flowing

Since insurance companies are required to provide care, it makes sense to buy insurance only when
you need it. In other words, wait until you get sick to buy insurance, because they cannot turn you
down. In order to combat this, the law includes an individual mandate, which requires anyone that can
afford it to buy health insurance, or pay a penalty to the IRS. In essence, this is the part of the law that
pays for it all. This is also the section many Republicans hate. In their philosophy, the government
cannot force someone to buy something they may or may not need. They argued that this law was
unconstitutional, and they sued in federal court to have the law nullified. There were three cases
overall: one from the states (Florida v. U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Svcs.), one from the federal
government (U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Svcs. v. Florida), and one from the National Federation

Gotto and Turnbull (2010) discuss the importance of families and early intervention specialists as the
main component of home visits. In order to see how these partnerships worked, they interviewed early

For some of the parents in the study, they struggled with their child s physical or emotional delay and
in essence felt a sense of sorrow when it came to their child. The providers were viewed as their hope
for their child. In the study, there were also a few families who faced several emotional needs.
The families were not the only ones to face emotional needs. Early intervention specialists also
demonstrated a sense of urgency in helping the child not only overcome the delay but also prevent
further delays. Many of these providers also had a feeling of stress due to their case overloads.
Providers also experienced emotional distress with the families who had more complex emotional
needs and thus felt inadequate to help them. Furthermore, providers who entered homes which were
different from their own, also felt emotional discomfort. (Brotherson et al., 2010)
The first partnership pattern between the families and their providers identified was one in which both
the family s needs and the provider s needs were met. (Brotherson et al., 2010) This partnership was a
match in where both the provider and the family shared the same emotional need. They both felt a
sense of urgency to help the child and intern worked together to aid the child s progression. The
sessions were child focused. The parent was focused on her child s progression and participated
during the home visits. Meeting the family s emotional need of urgency

1. In traditional Ibo culture, women are not treated as equals and are equivalent to possessions. In a

is common and ideal for a husband to possess multiple wives, and men beat their wives for even the
smallest infractions. During the Week of Peace, the goddess forbids wife beating, such as when

The Feast of the New Yam... was an occasion for giving thanks to Ani, the earth goddess and the
source of all fertility (36). The importance of this goddess demonstrates that women have a place of
power in Ibo religion as well. 2. The Ibo people are in no way savages because they have an organized
structure to their society with rules and laws. A society that employs morals, ethics, and accountability
for peoples actions cannot be considered savage. The Ibo are highly religious; the base of most of their
daily life revolves around religion, whether it is how they raise their families or how they grow their
crops. The Feast of the New Yam was held every year before the harvest began, to honor the earth
goddess (36). Yams control the Ibo economy, and if a person farmed well, success tended to follow.
The Ibo village created a very stable economy due to this. The society itself is organized mostly by a
person s title, which states their place in a sort of government. The Egwugwu act much like judges and
the people themselves try to settle things peacefully between each other. During the Feast of New

which the people enjoyed more the feasting and fellowship of the first day or the wrestling contest of
the second (39). The old festival obviously remains popular due to the ancient culture behind it,

The Importance Of Social Justice
Social Justice is a double edge sword. On one side everyone is treated equally and fairly with
sustainable life advantages. There is food, clean water, shelter, health care, education and a living
wage adequate to support and improve families quality of life. On the other side, there is the reality of
economics, war, prejudice, environment, poverty, and political influences. As long as there is
corruption and greed these goals seem impossible to achieve. Food and clean water is a basic necessity
of human life. Access to quality, adequate, affordable food and clean water should be a goal of every
government. However, in many places that is not possible either due to drought or destitution. In some
areas the government uses food to control the population. Many lives are lost due to starvation for no
reason other than lack of government management. Affordable housing should be available to
everyone. There are many opportunities to renovate buildings to accommodate housing. Programs that
give the recipient the opportunity to participate in the process, such as Habitat for Humanity, need to
be supported. This process gives people the pride of ownership. The expense and lack of funding is
the main concern. A plan has to be made to find affordable clean housing.
Health Care is a basic human need and needs to mandatory. Everyone should be entitled to
comprehensive health care, but how is that not only achieved, but also made affordable? There has to

The Effect Of Enzyme Concentration On Enzyme Lab
In this lab the effect of the enzyme concentration has on the speed of the reaction will be observed.
The amount of oxygen gas produced will be measured to determine the reaction rate. If the enzyme
concentration increases then the reaction rate will also increase. The measure of how fats oxygen is
produced will be how long it takes for the filter paper disk soaked in different concentrations of
catalase to rise to the top. If catalase is exposed to boiling temperature then it will denature.
Catalyst is a general term to represent anything that speeds up a reaction. A biological catalyst speeds
up chemical processes and cannot be used or changed in any way by the reaction. Catalase is a
common enzyme. It is found in almost all living organisms that use oxygen, like bacteria, plants, and
animals. Catalase is responsible for the degradation Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and breaks it down
into water (H2O) and oxygen (O), which are harmless to living organisms. This way its main role is
protecting the cell from damage caused by reactive oxygen species. Hydrogen peroxide is a byproduct
of reactions in our bodies. If it were allowed to build up it would kill us. Enzyme are catabolic protein
that speed up and regulate all chemical reactions within a living organism. Enzymes lower the
activation energy needed, allowing reactions to occur more easily, quickly and more efficiently.
Almost all biochemical reactions within living organisms need enzymes. Enzymes are amino acids

  • 4. An Analysis Of Dead Mans Path And Dead Men s Path Humans are egotistical; we are narrow minded and we disregard others perspectives. We are critical of others and their values, determined to force our own values upon them. Without considering the feelings and beliefs of others, it s in our human nature to manipulate others to feed our ego and satisfy our own interests and desires. These ideas are expressed in Chinua Achebe s Dead Men s Path and Stephen King s Boogeyman . Both Michael Obi and Lester Billings let their self image and personal beliefs cloud their judgement. The school that Obi tried to improve by implementing his own values and disregarding the natives , and the Boogeyman that Billings refuses to accept, satisfies the characters egos without considering the consequences. Michael Obi was appointed headmaster of a school in Ndume, Ndume Central School. He is a foreigner in their land and does not share the same views as the natives. Obi sees himself as a progressive man; he hopes to modernize their school and their traditions. In Obi s point of view, Ndume School was backward in every sense of the word (Achebe 1). He hoped to turn the school into what he perceived as a place of beauty . Driven by his motives to reform the school and appeal to his personal standard, he is not content with the path the locals use to reach the burial ground. Obi orders that the path not be used anymore that was some time ago. But it will not be used now (Achebe 2). He not only disregards the importance of the path for the natives, but he is more concerned for the inspection of the school, what will the Government Education Officer think of this when he comes to inspect the school next week? . In his ignorance, he fails to consider the feelings and traditions of the natives, solely focused on implementing his views. He is unable to discern that the path serves more than a walking purpose to the natives, I would suggest your constructing another path, skirting our premises. His failure to regard for the spiritual significance of the path to the villagers, results in great conflict between the progressive foreigner and the traditional natives. As a result of his disregard for the natives traditions and values, as well as their conflicting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Stress-Induced Cardiomyopathy Research Paper From birth to death, loss is an inevitable part of each person`s lifetime. Most people are loved as soon they come into this world, but are loved by many more when they go. Nonetheless, in the journey of life, people will face obstacles that will shape them into different people than they were yesterday, and most people will find themselves loving another person at one point in time. However, certain circumstances, such as death or a breakup, can cause a person to feel like the entire world is crashing down upon his or her shoulders. Some deaths can be signaled by sickness or old age, but like anything, some do come unexpectedly. The same trend goes for breakups as well. Sometimes, a breakup can come as a shock to one person or both people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sometimes, mourning is the best way for someone to accept the reality of the situation they are in. Research has shown that if a person goes through a loss of any kind, they will most likely go through what has been termed as the stages of grief. In some cases, the loss of a loved one could be seen from a distance, but in other cases, it can leave a person blindsided. After a loss of a loved one, those affected by it will often find themselves in denial, and wondering why it happened or what they could`ve done to change the outcome. Then, that feeling of helplessness and confusion will turn into anger, which can be dangerous to those surrounding the person, as well as the person`s own emotional health. But after the feelings of rage settle, some people will find themselves beginning to accept that someone whom they loved has left their lives. This is the one stage of grief that can linger for a very long time, and some people will never be able to get out of this stage, which can eventually lead to depression and other emotional issues. But after a person affected has his or her required amount time to mourn the loss, he or she may finally be able to completely accept the situation and move on with their individual lives. Altogether, losses can prompt many physical and emotional problems to those who experience them. Those who are affected by a loss of a loved one will often experience ... • 6. The Relationship Of Tax Avoidance With Corporate Social... There is an ongoing debate on the relationship of tax avoidance with corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ethical behaviour of companies. Specifically, corporate social responsibility can be defined as companies undertake the responsibility for social welfare and development (Matten and Moon, 2008). For ethical behaviour, it is referred to govern the actions of individuals and organizations in the business under contemporary standards (Epstein, 1998). Moreover, this is the difference between tax avoidance, which companies use appropriate methods to reduce the amount of tax within the law, and tax evasion, which can be defined as illegal to reduce taxes (Hasseldine and Morris, 2013). According to US Treasury (2009), each year the US government may lose more than $345 billion revenue because of a variety of tax avoidance. Moreover, the UK government also faces the problem of losing tax, at £40 billion each year (HM Revenue and Customs, 2010). In recent years, an increasing number of governments, media, and non government organizations claim that corporate tax avoidance is not conducive to the development of society and ethical behaviour of enterprises. The aims of this essay are to research the motivations of corporate tax avoidance, and discusses to a large extent corporate social responsibility and ethical behaviour of firms is in conflict with tax avoidance, even though they have some consistency. • 7. The Music Of The Jazz Music Have you ever appreciate a really nice sound in your life? This is something funny for me because I love the Jazz music and when I have the opportunity to make my concert review, I thought that the best opinion that I can give you is about the jazz music. I was checking around because I did not have the opportunity to see an event of jazz music here in Reno so I checked in YouTube and I choose one of the most incredible concerts that I have never seen in my life. The international Jazz Day. One of the most important days that many people are joining around the world and they are sharing their experiences and their passion for the music. People do not discriminate that day, people do not see the music as before, people are one and they are sharing together one of the best nights that they will not forget in their life. This day is the International Jazz day and there is no problem because the jazz is spontaneous and share the most beauty thing with you. To be honest I was so fascinated when I was seeing the musicians with heir expressions and their passion. They are not the same when they are playing their instruments. They are other people from other world and they enjoy the moment and have fun because they love what they do. I can hear sounds with a tempo very regularly and passionate. I can see that the tempo for them is something very important because when they are playing, especially the bass master is moving his head at the same time when he is playing. I think, this ... The Environmental Impact Of The Borneo Lowland Rainforests Borneo as an island is the third largest island in the world, being just 1% of the world s territory yet holds approximately 6% of the world s biodiversity in its tropical rainforests. Borneo is a global ecoregion made up of 2 terrestrial ecoregions; Borneo Lowland rainforests and Borneo Montane rainforests. It includes a large diversity of habitats such as, large areas of karst (barren limestone plateaus with caves, sinkholes, and gullies), and a high altitude swamp forest. The Borneo lowland rainforests are defined as the areas that lie around mountains and below their level. Borneo lowland rainforests contain 10,000 plant species, 380 bird species and 15,000 mammal species. There is no distinct borders that would outline Borneo s Lowland Rainforests, but an approximate estimate suggests the total area being around 420,000 km2. From those statistics it is estimated the lowland forest takes up around 57% of Borneo s total land. It lies within the tropical monsoon climate zone. The Borneo Lowland Rainforest is evidently a rainforest. Its features include a stable climate throughout the year with a huge amount of rainfall, with the monthly rainfall being beyond 200mm though out the year. Positive or negative police community relations can result from a variety of factors including cooperation, race issues, corruption, fear or assurance of police, and violence. When the community and police relations are positive, the police better understand the community s needs and the community is more inclined to report crimes and aid the police. When community and police relations are negative, the police do not understand the community s needs which leads the pubic, especially those who experience high levels of crime, to feel that the police do more harm than good. Throughout the 20th century there have been major issues relating to poor police community relationships. In more recent years they have been numerous problems with the police community relations that have led to difficult situations including the Rodney King beating and the 1992 LA riots, the Timothy Thomas shooting and the 2001 Cincinnati riots, as well as the more recent Michael Brown shooting and 2014 Ferguson riots. In all of these situations the police community relationship was strained and after a final straw event, rioting erupted to force a change. Kubla Khan and Ode on Grecian Urn Essay Although both Kubla Khan, by Samuel Coleridge and Ode on Grecian Urn, by John Keats are poems originating from the poets inspiration from historical figure, the two poems convey different messages through their respective metaphors. While Coleridge emphasizes on the process of creating a Romantic poem, Keats expresses his opinion about art by carefully examining the details of the Grecian urn. In Kubla Khan, Coleridge expresses his desire to use the inspirations from nature to create his own Paradise of poetry (54, p.1634). In the first stanza, Coleridge creates an exotic oriental garden, where the trees, gardens, hills, and the Alph river, together present the beauty of Mother Nature (3, p.1633). With the formation of a rare device , symbolizing his masterpiece of poetry, Coleridge acknowledges that poetry forms through the combination of nature and human perception. In the end, Coleridge demands the readers to beware (49, p.1634) of the power of the inspired poet, who recreates his own sunny dome (47, p.1634) in the protection of a circle round him thrice (51, p.1634). The energy from nature is eventually transferred to the poet, the poet to use his imagination to create his own Paradise (54, p.1634), which resembles Xanadu of Kubla Khan. Through the metaphors developing in the poem, Coleridge pieces together the process a Romantic poet creates a poem from the inspiration of a nature scene. Keats, on the other hand, uses the Ode on a Grecian Urn to express his perspective on art by examining the characters on the urn from either an ideal or realistic perspective. In the beginning, Keats asks questions regarding the mad pursuit (9, p.1847) of the people on the Grecian urn. As the Grecian urn exists outside of time, Keats creates a paradox for the human figures on the urn because they do not confront aging but neither experience time; Keats then further discusses the paradox in the preceding stanzas of the poem. In the second and third stanza, Keats examines the picture of the piper playing to his lover beneath the trees (15, p.1847) and expresses that their love is far above (28, p.1848) all human passion. Their differences include having different founders, the concept of sin, and the resurrection of Jesus. For this essay I am going to look at Domestic Violence against women and what the State is doing to protect them. Domestic Violence is now a well known global occurrence affecting not only women but also their children too. Violence against woman has been around since the dawn of time. We have all seen cartoon pictures of the caveman dragging his mate behind him by her hair. It was just something that men did. Woman had no protection against men especially if they were married to their attacker. For the first 75 years of the 20th century women were seen as meek and subservient to their men and were also owned by those men. Men had a social right to keep ... Not all under educated, low paid or low status men go out and rape and abuse. Radical feminists see domestic violence as a widespread and classless act. They see that men are expected to take the lead in a situation, they are supposed to be strong and macho. They go to war and fight for their countries. Their strength is something to be looked up to not down on. Their strength is their basis of power. The critics against this approach say that is does not take into account class or race. Male violence is a form of social control and the state does not make an attempt to control and eradicate it. The sate is run by men, for men, to protect men. Figures to show the extent of male violence against women is difficult to truly estimate due to the large number of abuse cases that are never reported to the police. The Control Of Nature By John Mcphee Justin Li 9/25/14 Red Earth Science The Control of Nature Essay In the book, The Control of Nature by John McPhee, one can see humans in a multitude of locations attempting to control the various aspects of their natural environment. Furthermore, it is clear that the three enduring understandings of Earth Science are present throughout the book as an ongoing theme. The first, the idea that energy, from the Sun and from Earth s interior, drives all of Earth s cycles and processes, can be interpreted in many different ways. However, in the different sections of the book, one sees that the Sun can cause weather patterns and can lead to different outcomes. Additionally, the energy, or power, resulting from the intense heat and pressure from the Earth s interior, can cause volcanic eruptions. As for the idea that matter moves through Earth s spheres in cyclical processes, over varying periods of time, and at different scales, one can see that water, land, plant matter, and even molten rock come and go in a definite period, whether it is thirty years, or even centuries. In regards to the third idea, that Earth s surfaces and processes are altered by human engineering, one can see a plethora of examples in the book. All records that have been used in a certain number of years must be kept at the office, the ones that are past that must be kept in a storage facility, and they need to be dated so that you know when they can be destroyed. You have to keep a record of destroyed medical records because of the HIPPA laws. Because of this they need to have a skill set to be able to work with culturally, socio economically and linguistically diverse families. Brotherson, Summers, Naig, Kyzar, Friend, Epley, Gotto and Turnbull (2010) discuss the importance of families and early intervention specialists as the main component of home visits. In order to see how these partnerships worked, they interviewed early interventionists and families. The data collected was used to study the emotional needs of both the families and the specialists and how they were met and by whom. For some of the parents in the study, they struggled with their child s physical or emotional delay and in essence felt a sense of sorrow when it came to their child. The providers were viewed as their hope for their child. In the study, there were also a few families who faced several emotional needs. The families were not the only ones to face emotional needs. Early intervention specialists also demonstrated a sense of urgency in helping the child not only overcome the delay but also prevent further delays. Many of these providers also had a feeling of stress due to their case overloads. Providers also experienced emotional distress with the families who had more complex emotional needs and thus felt inadequate to help them. Furthermore, providers who entered homes which were different from their own, also felt emotional discomfort. (Brotherson et al., 2010) The first partnership pattern between the families and their providers identified was one in which both the family s needs and the provider s needs were met. (Brotherson et al., 2010) This partnership was a match in where both the provider and the family shared the same emotional need. They both felt a sense of urgency to help the child and intern worked together to aid the child s progression. The sessions were child focused. The parent was focused on her child s progression and participated during the home visits. Meeting the family s emotional need of urgency ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Masculine Focused Ibo Culture in Chinua Achebe s,... 1. In traditional Ibo culture, women are not treated as equals and are equivalent to possessions. In a family, the children always belong to the father, not the mother. I have even heard that in some tribes a man s children belong to his wife and her family (74). Okonkwo appears appalled to this blasphemy. It is common and ideal for a husband to possess multiple wives, and men beat their wives for even the smallest infractions. During the Week of Peace, the goddess forbids wife beating, such as when Okonkwo beat Ojiugo. And when she returned he beat her very heavily ...It was unheard of to beat somebody during the sacred week (29 30). The importance of this goddess demonstrates that women have a place of power in Ibo religion as well. 2. The Ibo people are in no way savages because they have an organized structure to their society with rules and laws. A society that employs morals, ethics, and accountability for peoples actions cannot be considered savage. The Ibo are highly religious; the base of most of their daily life revolves around religion, whether it is how they raise their families or how they grow their crops. The Feast of the New Yam was held every year before the harvest began, to honor the earth goddess (36). Yams control the Ibo economy, and if a person farmed well, success tended to follow. The Ibo village created a very stable economy due to this. The society itself is organized mostly by a person s title, which states their place in a sort of government. The Egwugwu act much like judges and the people themselves try to settle things peacefully between each other. During the Feast of New Yam, many enjoy the most popular recreational activity in the village: wrestling. It was difficult to say which the people enjoyed more the feasting and fellowship of the first day or the wrestling contest of the second (39). The old festival obviously remains popular due to the ancient culture behind it, creating a close ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The amount of oxygen gas produced will be measured to determine the reaction rate. If the enzyme concentration increases then the reaction rate will also increase. The measure of how fats oxygen is produced will be how long it takes for the filter paper disk soaked in different concentrations of catalase to rise to the top. If catalase is exposed to boiling temperature then it will denature. Catalyst is a general term to represent anything that speeds up a reaction. A biological catalyst speeds up chemical processes and cannot be used or changed in any way by the reaction. Catalase is a common enzyme. It is found in almost all living organisms that use oxygen, like bacteria, plants, and animals. Catalase is responsible for the degradation Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and breaks it down into water (H2O) and oxygen (O), which are harmless to living organisms. This way its main role is protecting the cell from damage caused by reactive oxygen species. Hydrogen peroxide is a byproduct of reactions in our bodies. If it were allowed to build up it would kill us. Enzyme are catabolic protein that speed up and regulate all chemical reactions within a living organism.
