In 1949, Arthur Miller released a play called Death of a Salesman which involves the struggle of

same issue. They both deal with financial problems, a dysfunctional father, and the father s affair.
Both Troy Maxson and Willy Loman cannot get along with their own families. The difference
between Troy Maxson and Willy Loman is that racial discriminationhas feared Troy into being very
negative and Willy has a mental issue that would make him think that he needs to be rich
(salesman).
In Death of a Salesman, Willy mental issues make him not properly run his family the right way. He
focuses way too much on business and wealth and won t worry about his health and family. He is

happy with what he had. His obsession with wealth would cause him to attempt suicide when he
becomes a failure and unemployed. Willy just needs to realize that he is an ordinary man and isn t
meant to be rich.
Also in Death of a Salesman, Biff is dependent on the family and he needs to be a salesman to
make his father proud. However, Biff knows that Willy had an affair with another woman, Willy
later on remember this moment in a flashback. The affair would scarred Biff to drop out of
summer school and would let Linda deal with Willy s mental problems. Biff also tries to get a
job, but ends up unemployed like his father. Biff even tries to steal just so he could make his
father proud. Biff learns that he and Willy cannot be rich and they are just ordinary men who
should get ordinary salaries.
In Fences, Troy runs his family by being negative and bossy. He acts this way because he
struggled to become successful when he was a young man. He was rejected at Major League
Baseball because his race wasn t accepted yet, and that s why he wouldn t let Cory play football

As Keanu Reeves once said, Grief changes shapes, but it never ends ( Tragic ). When it comes to
grief there are usually five shapes or stages that people go through: denial, anger, bargaining,
depression and, finally, acceptance. The book A Monster Calls, by Patrick Ness, is about a young
boy who is struggling with school, bullies, friends, and family when his mother develops a
terminal illness. He is visited by the monster, a massive yew tree, who comes alive to teach
Conor the ways of the world. He also teaches Conor the truth in order to move past his mother s
sickness. Ness shows how people in both literature and real life tend to go through five stages of
grief while dealing with a loved one who has a terminal illness because of the overwhelming
lamentation it inflicts.

Initial Response:My initial response to the concert was of much surprise. First, when I walked in I
didn t expect to see such a formal event. Thank goodness I showed up in my work clothes! My
initial reaction to the music however was one of great surprise. I didn t really know what to expect
from the Lee s Summit Symphony because honestly I didn t even know they existed. Once the
symphony began to play Don Giovanni my mood instantly changed. The symphony was
incredible, and the music was not what I had expected at all. I was surprised by how much of the

Tempo/Dynamics: The tempo of Titan was pretty upbeat and sprightly. As far as instrumentation
wise, the strings were very fast similar to those of the baroque era. It had a dance style speed
like the baroque era as well. The third movement is the slowest of the four, and fourth is the most
involved. The drums really become a part of the fourth section and they make it seem as if the
tempo changes drastically because they play in between the beats. The dynamics are very similar
