Topic: Places in my Neighbourhood - Revision
Objectives:
- to review vocabulary about places in the neighbourhood and what they can do
there.
- to recognise the places studied in students’ own neighbourhoods.
- to share orally the places students find in their neighbourhoods.
- to answer questions orally using there is - there are.
Materials needed for the lesson
- Student’s book Hop into English 3.
- Visual support and materials designed by the teacher-students.
Routine
Timing: 5 minutes.
Type of interaction: all the class, teacher-students.
Makro skills: listening and speaking.
We will follow the routine ‘’How do you feel today?’’ and continue with a
breathing exercise before starting the lesson to help students prepare to get to work
after their recess.
Warm-up
Timing: 5 minutes.

First activity
Timing: 10 minutes.

1. Think about your neighbourhood.
- What places can you find there?
- Where is your house?
- How can you describe it? Use the words we learned!
Make a list in your notebooks and draw them on a piece of paper. Use colours and
write the names of the places to show your classmates your design.

4. Share your productions with the class.
- What places are there in your neighbourhood?
- Are there any shops?
HOMEWORK: Write a short text describing your drawing. Mention places and
their characteristics. Which places are there near your home? How are they?
Big or small? Modern or old? Is your neighbourhood busy or quiet? Follow the
teacher’s example.
Feedback:
I suppose they will do this in class, with your help. Otherwise I do not see the
purpose of the previous activities. Or did you sign it as homework and they will
