Language Objective: Define and discuss the concept: Neighborhood. Develop oral discussion
of examples of Neighborhoods, characteristics, etc.
Vocabulary: Neighborhood, street address, community, houses, stores, supermarket, park.
Lesson:
1. APK: Discuss: What do you see in your neighborhood?
The teacher will make a web on the board while the students participate.
2. New Information:
The teacher will put a video of the theme: “My Neighborhood” and will
pause it when they say every thing that can be on their neighborhood and
will ask the kids if they have it on theirs.

Other questions the teacher can do: If you don’t have that in your
neighborhood, have you seen it in another one? Where?
Discuss their ideas in groups. (Compare what they have and what the others
don’t.) (5 minutes)
3. Eachstudent will make a drawing about their neighborhood, and then will share it
with the class telling everything they have on their neighborhood.
Differentiation:
High students: They have to share their drawings with full sentences.
Low students: When they share their drawings they don’t need to make full
sentences.
*All the students need to use some of the vocabulary words in their letters.
Review/assessment:
Everyone will share the things they have on their neighborhood like the video, and then they
will make a drawing about it, saying what they have in each of their neighborhoods.
