Orthographic projections provide accurate 2D representations of 3D objects through a collection of views. The six principal views - top, front, side, and three quarter views - are obtained by imagining the object placed in a glass box and unfolding the views seen from each side. The front view showing the most detail is chosen, along with the top and side views, with dimensions defined as width, depth, and height. Views can be first-angle or third-angle projections.
