Online Security, Software Engineer, And Web Development
So many people struggle on picking what they want to major on. Have you all ever thought about
any IT careers? Well I will be informing you about three different IT careers and explaining them
through seven criteria s. The three careers are Online security, Software engineer, and Web
development. The seven criteria s that I m using to explain them are salary, education, experience,
duties, security clearance, work environment, and work schedule. Online security is a branch of
PC security particularly identified with the Web, regularly including program security additionally

online security chairmen are in charge of ensuring PC frameworks against assault. Because of
an expanding number of digital assaults on PC frameworks, this industry has developed, and
Web security managers are in higher interest. Albeit most security managers hold four year
certifications, in this field, a mix of expert experience, learning of web and system frameworks,
and industry affirmations frequently exceed formal training accreditations. The Career is all
about security which means security clearance is a major factor. online security masters work in
an office situation. You might be a piece of an IT division of an organization or association, or
you might work in a different, security related office relying upon an association s size and
accentuation on ensuring data. Working hours for the most part range from 35 to 40 every week,
albeit extra time can happen contingent upon the sort of task or examination being done. Shifts
crosswise over 24 hours, working seven days a week are basic, taking into consideration quick
reactions to data and digital security episodes. A software specialist is an authorized proficient
designer who is educated and talented in the use of building control to the formation of
programming. A product specialist is regularly mistaken for a software engineer, yet the two are
boundlessly distinctive orders. The normal

Information Flowing Through The Bla-To-Pl Projection May
Information flowing through the BLA to PL projection may be the dominant route for reward
behavior. PL is important for the enhancement in reward seeking behavior when the deprived
animal is re exposed to the previously rewarding context (reinstatement)(Gourley Taylor, 2016). PL
is also important for discriminative reward seeking(Sangha et al., 2014). The BLA PL projectionis
important for reinstatement. BLA modulates the activity of PL responding to the CS (Gourley

During learning, many physiological changes can be found to correlate with behaviors. However
neural correlates that are not part of the dominant circuit may play a modulatory role in affecting
learning rate, or it can have no effect on behavior as they may simply be passive relays from other
structures. Critical structures and their projections are major contributors as the absence of any one
of them will abolish behavior. Dysregulations that abolish behavioral performance must be either
part of or at least influencing critical structures on the circuit. Focusing on circuits that contain only
the necessary components is critical to narrow the search for malfunctioning elements that lead to
downstream changes and cause behavioral impairment. Results from these aims would refine the
current circuit underlying SFRLD. In turn, this information would be vital for

restore the behavioral impairment in safety acquisition and reward regulation, treatment for PTSD

Surya Namaskara Advantages And Disadvantages
Duration: For physical benefits, practice 3 to 12 rounds more quickly. For mental and spiritual
benefits, practice 3 12 rounds slowly. Beginners should start with 2 to 3 rounds and add one more
round every few weeks to avoid fatigue. Strain should be avoided.
Contra indications: Practitioner should immediately discontinue the practice if fever, acute
inflammation, boils or rashes occur. They may develop due to excess toxins in the body. When the
toxins have been eliminated, the practice may be resumed.
Surya Namaskara should not be practiced by people suffering from high blood pressure, coronary

The lymphatic system is also speeded up. Surya Namaskara, by increasing the circulation and the
removal of poisonous bacteria, directly aids the lymphatic system to work more efficiently in its
fight against illness.
Surya Namaskara, when done correctly, accentuates the exchange of air to and from the lungs,
opens and expands the intricate alveoli, or air sacs, of the lung tissue and exercises the muscles of
the surrounding chest region. The lungs are emptied of impurities and stale air as well as the body
and brain are revitalized by the extra supply of oxygen they receive. One can almost feel the extra
super charge of energy.
The multitudes of nerves connections throughout the body are gently stretched, massaged and
stimulated while doing Surya Namaskara. It tones up the nerves and simultaneously awakens the
associated brain centres. One feels more alive after a few rounds of this exercise. It tones up the

Liberty And Security
The founding of America was built on freedom, the effort of acting and choosing personal
endeavors and having no fear of impactful consequences. The oppression of the British, there was
an invasion of citizen s rights and a threat to the security of the general population, in such
conditions it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards
for their future security(Paul Larkin 18). America entered war viewing security and liberty as one to
create the modern united states. However, the balance between liberty and security are different as
protecting citizens from foreign threats is different from protecting their liberty. Internet, airport
security, and social media are just a few examples of a nation achieving unlimited freedom and
security to citizens but also having the power to take it all away as achieving full control of power
and privacy is an abuse of the government repeating the same oppression that the founding
generation once feared.
A global network contains information of nearly everything from programs to communicate, the

Production Process And Lean Manufacturing Process
INTRODUCTION
Quality in manufacturing has become an integral part of the production process and lean
manufacturing. The objective is to ensure that all customer project requirements are met to
specification while eliminating waste. Some of the world s largest company s require suppliers to
be on their approved supplier list prior to considering doing business with your company. One of the
major requirements to get on an approved supplier list is to have a certified quality management
system in place. Manufactures recognize the importance of quality certifications and lean processes
and use them as a competitive advantage in gaining new business and retaining current customers.
WHAT IS LEAN
The core idea of lean is to relentlessly work on eliminating waste from the manufacturing process.
Waste can be defined as any activity that does not add value from the customer s perspective.
According to research conducted by the Lean Enterprise Research Centre (LERC), fully 60% of
production activities in a typical manufacturing operation are waste they add no value at all for the
customer. Every company has an opportunity to improve, using lean manufacturing techniques and
other manufacturing best practices. Techniques that enable you to deliver higher quality products at
significantly lower costs (Vorne Industries Inc., 2010 2013).
LEAN PRINCIPLES
Lean Principles in manufacturing can improve operating performance by focusing on the
uninterrupted flow of products and materials

What Is The Theme Of Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell
Outliers are far more than successful people who have created their own success stories. What we
see on the outer wall are highly intelligent people with strong ambitions, however, Outliers written
by Malcolm Gladwell proves this view incorrect. Gladwell takes us through examples of how
some of the most successful people in the world have been influenced by cultures and communities
even to parenting styles. In Outliers, the focus is not on how people flourish; instead, it s
everything that s around them that plays a role in Gladwell s explanation of success.

facts rather than exclusively limiting to the ideas of intelligence and ambition. The ... Show more

The Death With Dignity Laws

and loss of dignity (71.4%) (Oregon Health Authority). Physician assisted suicide is a controversial
topic that continues to divide federal and state governments and citizens everywhere around the

Many people believe that the passing of Death With Dignity Laws is a slippery slope that will
lead to a variety of unethical medical practices including the use of these laws on mentally ill or
Alzheimer s patients. In all of the states that passed the law there are strict guidelines as to how
can access the law and in many cases the laws have not changed since they were passed. The laws
come from the idea that terminally ill people should be able to control how they suffer and
ultimately how they die without interference from the government, religious organizations, or other
external sources of policy. Although a patient may have the lethal dose of prescription provided by
their physician under the law in their possession they have absolutely no obligation to use it and in
many they don t. In cases where the medication is taken the patients who choose to take it have self
control and more dignity than they would if they had to suffer through the degenerative processes
of a terminal illness. Linda Waite Simpson, Vermont director of the Death With Dignity advocacy
organization Compassion and Choices said, I think that this slippery slope people are referring to

Speaking of drunk, I have wine in my room. Shall we indulge? I ve never seen you have more than
a few sips, Maxen.
He propped himself up on his elbows and kissed her. I will drink. Let me dress and fetch the bottle.
He hopped out of bed, and Audra admired his magnificent, muscular backside with a satisfied
smile on her face and he slipped into his trousers, but the spotted a smear of blood on his lower arm.
Maxen, you re still bleeding.
Nothing to worry about. He dragged his tunic over his head and glanced over his shoulder at her.
But oh...
What?
I ve gotten my blood all over that pretty face of yours.
Maxen sat on the bed beside Audra, licked his thumb, and scrubbed the dried blood from her face.
Then he leaned down and kissed her.
I don t want to stop kissing you or touching you, he said.
I think we can break for refreshment.
He let out a playful growl. I don t want to, but I will.
After giving Audra another long kiss, he rose and padded from the room, and Audra stretched out
in the bed. She was relaxed and in love, and she pushed away any feelings of guilt. Those could be
managed later. During this week, Maxen would be the husband of her heart, and if the gods saw
fit to strike her down for her transgressions, it would all be worth it.
Maxen s quiet footsteps padded back to the room; however, an unfamiliar voice spoke just outside
the chamber door.
Sir Knight, would you and the queen care to share in the festivities downstairs? You are most
welcome.

Pope John Paul II Research Paper
When Pope John Paul II, now St. John Paul II, was elected to the papacy in 1978, he became the
first Polish pope to serve in the history of the Vatican. He began his life s journey in a small town
and went through suffering loss of family, Nazi s invasion, and the steps to become a great pope
and eventually saint. St. John Paul II was one of the most influential people of the 20th and early
21st century because of the people who influenced him leading him to become pope and
modernized the Catholic church. Born May 18, 1920, under the name Karol JГіzef Wojtyla, he, was

impossible for him being older and how dangerously close the shots were to his heart, but what

Comparing Artemis Fowl And Eoin Colfer
Compare the Protagonist/Antagonist with any character, already studied or from a book, film, etc.
The main protagonist of Airman, Conor Broekhart, is very comparable with a lot of male, teenage
characters in books, films, and even some of the characters that are from some short stories that we
have read in our last unit. Conor is even comparable to the main protagonistfrom Artemis Fowl, a
more famous book and series by the author of this book, Eoin Colfer. The characterfrom this book
is, unsurprisingly, named Artemis Fowl.
While Conor is described to have blond hair and be tall for his age, Artemis is illustrated with raven
black hair and is short for his age. However, they both have very pale skin. Eoin even goes to say

Artemis may be smarter than Conor, but Conor is definitely braver than him. Conor is credited for
making a kite that glided him and Princess Isabella to safety from the burning castle. This awesome
feat earned him knighthood, making him Sir Conor Broekhart at the age of 10.
Conor changes a lot through the course of the first quarter of Airman. He goes from a small baby to
an intelligent young man. Artemis also changes throughout the series. In the beginning, Artemis is
more centered on his criminal schemes, but by the last book, The Last Guardian, Fowl realizes that
his family and friends are a lot more important.
Discuss the plot with a focus on current events in the media. The plot in the book, Airman, can be
compared to the recent election that happened in America. In my opinion, Hugo Bonvilain, the
antagonist of the story, is a lot like Donald Trump in many ways. One of Trump s slogans had to
do with making America great again . Hugo Bonvilain, also wanted to make the Saltee Islands like
they used to be. Both of them miss that the reason things aren t the same as they were before is
because the society has improved through time in the time that Airman takes place, or even right

Malcom X Comparison
The Autobiography of Malcom X by Malcom X is a book that shares many common themes as I
Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Both books deal with the racial inequality of African American
in the United States. Both books are autobiographies that show the graphic lives of two African
Americans. However, The Autobiography of Malcom X focuses more on a controversial historical
figure than on the childhood of a young African Americangirl. This controversial figure is often
depicted negatively in media and is overlooked or forgotten about in history classes that focus on
Martin Luther King Jr. Interestingly, Malcom X is often portrayed darker in media than he was
in reality. MLK, on the other hand, is often shown with a lighter skin tone. This difference
speaks volumes to the perception of the two activists. Reading his autobiography educates
people on the reality of Malcom X s beliefs and life story. Like Angelou s autobiography Malcom
X has a distinct perception of White people as the ideal, at least at the start of the novel. I Endured

New Forest Background
Few people realise the important role that the New Forest played in World War II. Its strategic
location on the south coast meant that the New Forest was crucial in a range of operations and

many have been hidden by soil and vegetation or lost during land management activities. There

Globalization Theory
Globalization Theory Globalization theory is defined as an approach that addresses the
development of the global resurgence of religion (Christiano et al., 2016). With the resurgence of
religion came Fundamentalism, which originated in American Protestantism. Fundamentalists
where known for practicing the essential fundamentals of Christianity, fighting back the
modernization of religion. T.K Oommen (1994) defines fundamentalism as text without context ;
meaning the scriptures written back in history where relevant to that history and culture at that time
and place (Christiano et al., 2016). Such texts without context then simply disregard current
settings. Fundamentalists believe their religion is the objective truth, which as a result, defines
other religions as myths (Christiano et al., 2016). Globalization has shifted religious views in our
society, from predominately Fundamentalist based to more modern. This shift in religious views
has resulted in religions catered to anyone and everyone. Faith is what allows us to accept a truth, a
truth believed by many, resulting in religion.
The Truth The three greatest Western religions are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam (Christiano et
al., 2016). Different societies interpret the Word of God differently. As stated in the text, the Word
of God can be magnified or reduced. As a result, this is considered one of the major downfalls of
globalization. Further in the text, it is stated that though religions, like Islam,

What Was The End Of The Art Nouveau Era
The End of An Era Art Nouveau as an artistic style had a short lifespan, when compared to other
movements. Although it spread far and wide in the thirty years it held sway, changing attitudes and
the beginnings of World War I began the end of the Art Nouveau era. In a period of warfare and
scarce resources, the stylized forms made popular in everything from architecture to posters to
silverware became too expensive to produce. The flowing, organic lines and ornamentation of the
movement began to become more streamlined, leading to the development of the more modern,
industrialized stylings of Art Deco. The emphasis became less on decoration, and more on making
functionality equal to decoration. Ornamentation became less important, as artists began to focus
more on well designed, beautifully formed pieces over more ornamental pieces. The emphasis was,
once again, more on material and function combining to create beauty, rather than beauty being
added to what was standard pieces. This continued thought that fine and applied arts, artists and
designers, could work together to improve not only art, but society itself, was a very Art Nouveau
thought, that eventually led to the birth of the Bauhausmovement and the creation of art education
as society knows it today.
The Bauhaus The Bauhaus school was founded by Walter Gropiusin Weimar, Germany in 1919. It
combined a wide variety of arts architecture, sculpture, and painting, with crafts and engineering.

Martin Luther Characterize Paul s Letter To Believers In Rome
Martin Luther (1483 1546), Paul and his thought are at the very heart of the Christian theological
enterprise. Thus, Luther wrote that Paul s letter to believers in Rome is in truth the most important
document in the New Testament, the gospel in its purest expression. . . . It is the soul s daily
bread, and can never be read too often, or studied too much. . . . It is a brilliant light, almost
enough to illumine the whole Bible. This is how I feel when I read about Paul and his writings.
Paul has traditionally been portrayed as having converted from Judaism to Christianity, and thus as
both the original apostate and a threat to the Jewish people and to Judaism (Jant, 551). Paul s
conversion was not the conversion of a terrible sinner from

The Birth Of Structured Products
The birth of structured products:
Structured products were introduced in the mid 1980s. At that time the economy was characterized
by high interest rates and volatility, therefore there was a growing demand for instruments that
could hedge against one or more risks and that could give to the greediest investors exposure to
markets that they could not enter into by themselves.
Because of the recent history and wide variety of structured products, no standard definition exists.
In general they are defined as financial instruments with cash flows that depend on the value or
performance of underlying assets or embedded derivatives (Bennett, 2013, p.19). Their three main
characteristics are:
They derive their rating from the quality of the collateral;
Their credit rating is enhanced with respect to the underlying assets thanks to their prioritization
scheme of claims;
They are sold through a separate legal entity. (Fabozzi, Lancaster, Schultz, 2008)
Therefore securitization is the process by which illiquid assets (such as a pool of loans) are
transformed into liquid instruments to be sold on capital markets (debt securities).
The securitization process:
To issue a structured product, a financial institution first collects a large number of assets, usually
credit sensitive, and assembles them in a portfolio, outsourced to a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
The aim of this outsourcing is the isolation of the institution s balance sheet from potential
liabilities and

Whether you have a chronic illness or are interested in eating well to prevent disease, the anti

Replace white flour products with those made from whole grains, and look for other ways to
incorporate whole grains into your diet. Protein should be limited to fish and lean chicken, with red
meat removed or severely restricted. Instead, focus on getting protein from beans, soybeans, and
nuts.
Eat low or reduced fat versions of dairy products rather than the full fat varieties, limiting dairy
consumption to high quality cheeses and yogurt made from natural ingredients. Soy also has anti
inflammatory properties, so consuming soy milk, tofu, and edamame can be beneficial. And don t
be afraid to add spices like cinnamon, ginger, curry, and others, which can prevent inflammation
and are a good way to add flavor to foods without fat.
Healthy sweets, such as plain dark chocolate, should be enjoyed sparingly, with other types of
sugary treats limited. One to two glasses a day of red wine are fine under this diet, but other
types of alcohol should be avoided. Also, consider drinking two to four cups of white, green, or
oolong tea each day.
If you are concerned about avoiding foods that cause inflammation, you should cut saturated fats
and trans fats from your diet. These harmful fats are primarily found in processed foods and meat.
Refined carbohydrates and white flour, such as that found in pasta and rice, also cause
inflammation. Instead, switch to whole grain

The Green Knight and King Arthur Essay
The Green Knight and King Arthur
Many British literature writers of the Middle Ages wrote about reality of the Middle Ages
including the social, political, and economical styles of writing. During the Middle Ages,
chivalry was a big aspect of every day life. Chivalry, a word not rarely used in modern times
anymore in the same fashion it was before, is defined as, the code of life that defined the qualities
of knighthood, such as honor, courage, loyalty, and willingness to defined the weak and protect
women. (English Western Literature Text) The Middle Ages were known to be the times of
knights, kings, and queens and fighting for their country for pride for the king. Loyalty was a

Paul s, determined to get for him the sword which was lodged in the stone. (p.118) This states
that Arthur did not want to back out since he was doing the deed for his brother out of pure
loyalty for him. He tugged the sword without trouble and successfully was made king with some
trouble from others who wanted to be king. The others who tried but failed, did not believe that
someone so young could succeed the throne instead of them. They did not have any loyalty towards
Arthur at first, which put off the crowning for a while but not until Arthur successfully again
retrieved the sword out of the stone did the others bow down to him. They were finally going to
become loyal to their real king; King Arthur. The nobles, knowing in their hearts that the
commoners were right, all knelt before Arthur and begged for forgiveness for having delayed his
succession for so long. (p.120) This quote tells the reader that the nobles begged for their
forgiveness by kneeling down before him in search of becoming loyal again. In the second part of
this story, it describes many adventures of Gawain, Torre, and Pellinore in which they unveil their
loyalty or un loyalty towards the king. In the very beginning of this section, Merlin, and King
Arthur are talking about marriage for Arthur. Merlin states that the woman Arthur sets eyes on
already has someone to love. But he states that he would do anything to please Arthur even to go to

Figurative Language In Mirrors By Justin Timberlake
The song Mirrors by Justin Timberlake has a lot of figurative language I will prove a couple cases
where that is true.
Mirrors by Justin Timberlake has a lot of simile. A simile is a figure of speech involving the
comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind. It is used to make a description
more empathic or vivid. The quote it s like you re my mirror from the song is a simile you know for
a fact that it is a simile because a person cannot be a mirror. So Justin Timberlake is comparing a
mirror to a person. A mirror and a person are nothing alike so you can automatically see that it is a
direct comparison.
This song also has a lot of symbolism. Symbolism is an artistic and poetic movement or style using

Can you do that in the bathroom?
In countless locations across the country, women have been asked this question in response to the
public breastfeeding of their children. Here in the United States, women are shamed, humiliated
and even asked to leave the locations they are in because they want to nourish their infants. Here
in the United States, women who simply wish to bare their chests in public are discriminated
against and treated as if their bodies are inappropriate and offensive. This same society that

Theme Of Betrayal In The Great Gatsby
The worst part of a betrayal is that it usually comes from a friend rather than an enemy. In Song of
Solomon by Toni Morrison, Milkman goes on an adventure to find the roots of his family history.
While on his quest, Milkman learns and experiences betrayal from his long time friend, Guitar, who
misunderstands Milkman s objective. In The Great Gatsbyby F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby undergoes
a series of betrayals from Daisy throughout his life. Gatsby s love for Daisy blinds him from her
acts of betrayal, which eventually leads Gatsby to his death. In Song of Solomon, the
relationship between Milkman and Guitar deteriorates due to Guitar s excessive desire for
money and revenge. This is paralleled in The Great Gatsby where Daisy use Gatsby s love and
wealth to seek revenge on Tom. In the Song of Solomon, Guitars betrayal to Milkman is caused
due to his desire to fulfill his Seven Day s Objective. As Milkman goes on his quest to find more
information about his family history, he encounters Guitar several times. Guitar thinks that
Milkman took the gold for himself rather than sharing it. Guitar is in need of the money so he
would be able to purchase explosives for his mission of vengeance. His hunger for money has led
him to go to the extent of killing Milkman. When Milkman goes hunting, Guitar chokes Milkman
with a wire while he is alone in the woods, but manages to survive. His need for money is
reinforced because of what he believes to be Milkman s betrayal towards him.

The I Had The Heart Of A Lion
Our childish hearts could never fathom such words like courage. It has meant so little to our
innocent ears. Courage could never entertain our childish whims. It s not until we reach full
maturity, when a word like courage takes hold of our character. Our entire being and definition of
courage is then molded into something more meaningful. It becomes more than the monsters under
our bed or the tower steel slide you re afraid of. Courage becomes so much more once you
experience it.
At the tender age of five, I was the most courageous child, so I thought. While most children
quaked at the thought of leaving their mother s side, I roamed like a free bird. I stretched my
wings out and went where I pleased. I feared nothing but God himself. ... Show more content on

Not only for myself, but for the other victims. As they were chopping me down with words, I
used them to build a stronger foundation. After the countless blows I endured from my
tormentors, I was finally strong enough to stand up for myself. Something others never had the
courage to, I had the courage to do now. The fear I wore like a leash was now gone. It took
everything in me not to break. I had to be brave for myself and the other people in my position.
Every ounce of courage from every victim was now a part of me. I spoke the fire that ignited the
peace inside of the bullies. My voice didn t tremble, nor did my body. There was no need to be
scared of them anymore. Even with the odds against me and all the terrible things that could have
happened, I continue to be strong. Courage is knowing when to walk away and throw in the
towel. It s when you stand up for what you believe in when the odds are not in your favor. Courage
can either make or break you as a person.
Admittedly, I never knew what courage meant until I stood in front of hundreds of people in an
auditorium. I was a grain of sand and they were the sea, coming to consume every part of me. Now
I quaked like the small children I laughed at and my mother wasn t at my side. There was no place

The War With Mexican American War
The war with Mexico is long remembered as an episode, and by no means is it an unimportant one.
With the events that led up to its happening, from the Manifest Destiny to the disputes on territory,
it has severely marked the United States. American historians regard the Mexican American war as
the foulest blot on our national honor . (sfmuseum.org) Unethical actions were taken gain Mexican
territory. Polk and his hunger for land drove him to find some devious way to fight a war with
Mexico. His belligerent attitude in regard to this war was the foulest blot on our national honor.
However, as one studies the events that led to it, was it an unprovoked act of aggression? Or did
the US unjustifiably lure Mexico into one of the bloodiest wars on American soil?
The O Sullivan article on Manifest Destiny sparked an initial interest amongst the American people.
The idea that it was the United States destiny to expand across the continent became an ardent
hope. America had a strong Christian belief that God had intended this for the country. The need
for more land became vital as an increasing amount of immigrants flocked to the country each
year. As the US gained more land, they steadily began to approach the western part of the
continent. At the time, the United States was half of what it is now. The other half was owned by
a country that would soon be forced into a two year war.

The Departed And Infernal Affairs
After watching both films, it is safe to say that Infernal Affairs out ranks the Departed by a
substantial amount. The Departed is an American remake of the Chinese film Infernal Affairs.
Both movies reveal the secret life of moles for a gang and the police force. Even though the
Departed stays pretty close to the original screenplay, there are some differences that both add to
each film and takes away from the plot. In all, besides their differences, the Departedand Infernal
Affairsboth create a thrilling story of the mafia. The first major difference that caught my eye is the
similar love interest in the Departed. In this rendition, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) and
Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) both share an interest with the police psychiatrist. This adds a unique
way to connect the characters. Throughout the film, Billy and Colin never met or interacted with
each other. However, with both of them visiting the psychiatrist, it provides them with a
connection. This creates a sense of knowledge to the audience. It gives a sense of a what if
scenario. When I learned of this same love interest, I kept thinking what if they both decided to
meet her at the same time, what would happen . This gave me a suspense not like other murder
thrillers, but more of a what if they finally meet moment.
Another difference that is noteworthy is when the police chief is thrown off the building by the
gang members. The Departed created a more realistic scene to me rather than

Lab Report 5A. Coughran 4/12/17
Objective:
The objective in Lab 5 is to measure and determine the strength and location of magnetic fields
using a coil, solenoid, and magnets. The experimental values of the strength of the magnetic fields
of the solenoid and the coil will be calculated and then compared to their respective theoretical
values for accuracy.
Theory:
Field line patterns exist within a magnetic field that is created by a current. These field lines of a
coil or a solenoid can be traced by using a compass because they create a dipole pattern, meaning
that they diverge from the north end and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, the negative and positive power supply plugs were switched to see if this had any effect on
the magnetic field of the coil. Both did not have significant effect.
Procedure B: Field Patterns Inside a Solenoid
A slinky was stretched on the lab bench and taped down with the turns of each slinky at roughly 1
cm apart. Positive and negative alligator clips were then attached to each end of the slinky to allow
for current flow through the slinky. Next, a Vernier magnetic field probe was placed in the center
of the slinky, zeroed, and set to high sensitivity for accuracy. The power supply was then turned on
and adjusted until the current reached about 0.5A.
Data collection was started and the average experimental magnetic field values, B, were measured
several times for accuracy. An average of these values was then taken using the analyze statistics
tool and then stored in Logger Pro for inclusion in the data section. Next, the theoretical value B
value for the solenoid was measured using Equation 1 above and compared to the average
experimental B value mentioned previously in order to check the setup. A percent error was
calculated between each of these values at each current setting.
Once the setup showed good accuracy and was adjusted, the current was varied from 0A to 1.0A
and magnetic field data was collected. The magnetic field data and the

Only Acts provides the outline of Paul s missionary activity, from his conversion to his Roman
imprisonment (chapters 13 28). No record exists detailing the various missionary activities of the
other apostles although it seems possible they were doing likewise. The author of Hebrews is
unknown; however, the book is a superb comparison/correlation of the old and new covenants. The
apocalyptic revelation John received is addressed to seven churches of Asia and, while it gives
warning concerning their current treatment of the gospel, it also gives encouragement to them
pertaining to present and upcoming persecution. The New Testament is a wonderful piece of divine
literature and stands worthy of our confidence.
It is generally thought that Paul s writings were the first to be recognized in their circulation
among the churches. His letter to the Galatians appears like it was his first and to have been
written approximately 48 49CE. His other letters are thought to have been written during the 50
60 sCE. The Gospel accounts are considered to have been written in the period 60 85CE. Luke is
credited with having written his Gospel account as well as Acts sometime during the 60 70CE
timeframe. The writer, as well as the date of writing of Hebrews, is unknown; however, estimates

preaches against the crimes of the mob, pushes Terry along the path to truth. He urges him to

The Southwest Blackout Of 2003
The Northeast blackout of 2003 was one of the most critical blackouts in the history which
affected more than 50 million people in both the United States and Canada. The main cause of
this disaster was a software bug in the energy management system used by FirstEnergy
Corporation, located in Akron, Ohio. This is a perfect example of poor quality coding may led to a
big disaster. For a perfectly planned power grid, the power generation of each region is matched
with the power consumption within this region, so that the power lines will always carry a
reasonable workload. If one power line fails to work, other parallel lines would have to carry extra
power, which is bad for safety and may lead to fire. The power system operators are the ones...

And the generating plant don t know it either. Then, because the workload was assigned to other
lines, several other lines in the region also declined to work for self protection, and the whole Ohio
and Michigan got blackout short after. The company and other government departments noticed the
problem, but hardly have anything to do at the time. The cascading effect is already unstoppable.
Each generating plant can only separate their generators from the power grid to prevent the large
current destroy their generators. So almost all the generating plants in northeastern United States
and Ontario went offline, and the whole region got blackout. This happened in only 2 hours. Water
pumps cannot work without power supply, so some areas also have water supply problem. And
other services like public transportation (e.g. TTC streetcars), communication, and media (radio
and TV stations) also affected. Some areas recovered from the blackout the same night, but most
areas did not get power back until August 16th, two days after the accident. Both United States
government and Canada government were criticized, and they adopted some policy to prevent
future blackouts after it. Following the blackout, a thorough investigation of the energy control
system was taken. GE s developers looked through millions of lines of code and log to find the
bug, and it them weeks to finally locate the bug. The bug is known as a race condition in computer

Many seem to think that Born in the U.S.A. is an extremely patriotic song in which Springsteen
is almost proclaiming how proud he is to be an American but this is far from reality. The song
actually deals with the Vietnam War and the suffering that occurs when veterans come back
home. One of Springsteen s verse makes this scene quite a real one for us as listeners, Come back

Vietnam was unlike any other war America had been a part of before. First and foremost, most
people consider the war a loss for America. The main objective of the war was to stop the spread of
Communism to South Vietnam. American troops were able to accomplish this task but as soon as
they were pulled out and sent home, the North invaded the South and took over. In the end
Communism had spread to South Vietnam. Returning troops are generally welcomed home like

The Effects Of Internet On Children And Young People
Practitioners have a responsibility towards children and young people to make them aware of the
dangers which they may face in the outside world. In school, this awareness has historically been
around issues such as road safety, stranger danger and how to treat and respond to others. As well
as being an additional resource, the emergence of the Internethas opened up a wide range of
additional threats to children. As many children now have access to a computer in their own homes
it is important for all children to become familiar with them and be able to use them with ease. E
mail and the Internet are becoming increasingly common methods of communication and this can
open up a new way of learning for children, providing that they are used... Show more content on

Although there are now steps being taken in the UK to help protect children and young people such
as Internet filters, these usually have to be requested by parents/carers. If a child is registered as
the use then they will not be able to access material that is rated as 18+.
E safety issues include potential dangerous contacts and commercial activities that children can fall
victims to. According to statistics, half of the young people questioned say they have given out
personal information (full names, ages, email address, phone numbers, hobbies or names of their
school) to somebody they met on the Internet. These children can easily be misled by a potential
child groomer who poses as another child of their age from the same area, gaining their trust and
getting close to them. They can become victims without realising as they wrongly believe that they
are chatting to other children because they cannot see who they are chatting to in the online chat
rooms that they use. The intentions of the person masquerading as a child may vary from
downloading personal photos to as far as child trafficking but in any case they pose a great threat to
children.
Statistics also show that only five per cent of parents think their children have given out personal
information on the Internet, showing the

Jodi Arias Should Receive the Death Penalty
Jodi Arias Should Receive the Death Penalty Jodi Arias should receive the death penalty for
violently murdering Travis Alexander. Arias planned on murdering Alexander when she traveled to
Arizona. Arias brutally murdered a man who did not want to be in a relationship with her and then
Arias lied about it. Alexander s family and friends would like to see her receive the death penalty.
Arias also said she would like the death penalty in an interview. Arias has been manipulative and
deceiving through the trial and she made statements that were defamatory to Alexander s character.

the intentions of murdering Alexander. Arias stole her... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Arias does not need to represent a domestic abuse organization because she is a cold blooded
killer. Arias has been deceiving and manipulating through the whole process. She planned on
murdering Alexander and went through many precautions to protect herself. She also met up
with another man in Utah so she would have an alibi. After Alexander s body was discovered,
she called the investigator to ask questions about his death. She denied murdering him at first.
She then changed her story and said it was self defense. She has only said terrible, defamatory
things about him. She has a history of lying and deceiving people. Alexander s family would like
Arias to receive the death penalty. The day that Arias was found guilty, David Hall, Alexander s
friend, made a statement to reporters as he was leaving court saying that he wanted Arias to
receive the death penalty. Hall said, Five long years... of lying, manipulating. Now the citizens
of Arizona have spoken. If what she did to Travis does not justify the death penalty in America
today, then what do we have it for? (Gaynor A4). The jury should take in consideration what his
family and friends want since he was taken so quickly and violently from their lives. In May
2013, the jury could not come to a decision on whether or not Arias should get a death sentence.
That jury could not come up with a unanimous decision so a new jury will be selected. If the new

Michael and Tyler both realized how reliant the business is on technology and equipment and how
they must safeguard it for themselves and the customers and what liability issues they face if not
done.
Issues:
The current situation presents itself with issue to consider, first, is the grand opening of the new
restaurant location and the continued smooth uninterrupted operation of the current restaurant,
second, is dealing with the safeguarding of their equipment and data and developing a plan on how
this will be accomplished. In looking deeper, regarding the point of sale system (POS) its servers
and other organizational data, what safety measures should be implemented for loss of power,
password protection, setting up firewalls to secure from hackers, recovery and mitigation. Not
only does a business need to protect themselves in these matters but consideration needs to be
given on how to protect the customers while using the restaurants Wi Fi, its website and social
media portals and spell out the terms of use so all parties involved are aware of the risks. In order
to address some of these matters a comprehensive Risk Management Analysis should be performed
like the example shown in Figure 14.1 which will crosswalk you through the impact (high, medium
and low) based on the questions you would have. Another matter needing to be addressed would be
a Computer Resource need such as the example in Figure 14.2.

The Medi A Negative Image Of Lawyers And Judges Essay
The media often portrays a negative image of lawyers and judges. The way that lawyers and
judges act in media can be described as selfish justice. The meaning of selfish justice refers to the
lack of concern that lawyers and judges can have regarding the fairness of a trial and the
consequences that a ruling can have on another human life. To clarify, in most crime television
shows and even in reality, an innocent person can easily be found guilty in court if the district
attorney has enough evidence to prove the defendant crime and if the defense lawyer is not able to
counter the evidence. However, many district attorneys as represented on television do not exhibit
honesty when it comes to presenting evidence. For example, many episodes showcase district
attorneys put false witnesses in the stand to testify against the defendant. Their goal is to
manipulate the jury to make them believe that there is enough evidence to procure a guilty verdict.
Personal injury and medical malpractice cases are other similar situations. The majority of
personal injury and medical malpractice cases get thrown out due to the lack of evidence to
compensate the plaintiff (the litigating party) for damages. Thus, we can describe these situations
as selfish justice. Lawyer, clients, witness, and judges are considered as selfish justice because the
way in which they rule and deal with the lives of others demonstrates lack of consideration for
human life and justice in the courtroom. Several

Pros And Cons Of The First Amendment
First Amendment
When talking about the First Amendment, the law protects us from freedom of speech and free
exercise of religion and it also stops Congress from making any new law to prohibit free speech
and free exercise. The case involving a Christian printer who refused to print gay pride T shirts. The
printer declined the printing job for T shirts promoting a gay pride festival on religious grounds,
but he did offer the customer to help them find other local printers to do the work for the same
price. Based on the information that was provided the printer had a history of rejecting other orders
for shirts promoting sexually explicit material/actions and violence.
There are a couple of argument that the owner could argue about one would be is that it is his
own business and he put his blood, sweat, and tears into the business. On top of that, it was his
own money that started the business without any government helps or assistance. No one should
be forced to do anything against what they believe in. For example, you are an Asian business
owner of a printing shop and a customer came in and requests to do a print job of a man holding
chopstick and a bowl of rice, hanging by the neck with a rope with X as eyes and a tongue sticking
out of the mouth. Who would in their right mind take that job?
The second argument would be is that the owner has a right to decline to print anything against
their belief, and a photographer gay or not has a right to decline to photograph anti gay or gay
rally and a Christian printer has a right to decline to print messages that violate their belief. The
right of free speech is to protect everyone, and it means that the government doesn t get to force
anyone to say things that contradict their deeply held belief. This is not a straight or gay issue but
this is a human issue.
The third argument would be that he did indeed offer the customer a different a route to go for
the print job. He also went out of his way and contact different local printer to take the job that he
couldn t do. He is just want to be a good Christian and doesn t want to break any rule. Just like a
good citizen of U.S., no one dares to break any laws intentionally.

militants or failed to properly prosecute them, and this needs to change, (Sheppard). After the
devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16, 2014, which killed
135 children, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced a 20 point National Action Plan to combat
terrorism, but none of the 20 points in the act pertained to students or education(Sheppard). The
Pakistani government continues to fail its female citizens by not protecting them and their right
to education. Not only does education need to be accessible, but it also needs to improve in
quality. The quality of an education is greatly affected by a lack of resources. Lacking resources
include money, technology, and protection that make education more affordable and accessible.
Many schools that girls are able to attend in Pakistan are small and not publicly funded. This is a
reason for why they are not able to hire quality teachers or invest in technology that will improve
their education (Sharif). Since there are many more schools for boys that receive funds from the
government, they will continue to be a step ahead of women in all areas of life. In this way,
women lose the skills that enables them to think critically and question established wisdom, which
thereby restricts them from rising above prejudice, myth, and historical legacies that are holding
them back (Sharif). A future where girls can still not go to school and study freely, is a dark future.

They have a sense of enjoying what they are doing and in turn this would lead to their promotion
or growth within the business or the relative field due to the love or passion they have. An evident
change in the dragging, below average work and absenteeism will noticeably be improved.
Respect
You firstly have to have respect for yourself before you can earn respect of others, in saying this
you have to see yourself as someone worthy of respect. This quality of management includes
consideration for other people s privacy, their physical space and belongings. In the same light it
also includes respecting different viewpoints, philosophies, physical ability, beliefs and
personality. Regardless of the quality or standard of work of the employee, respect still has to be
shown and the corrective procedures should be followed where need be but negative criticism
should definitely not be tolerated.
From experience in my market existence I have gathered that i still have quite a bit of learning to
do before I will excel at being a high quality and effective manager.
When I measure my emotional intelligence up to what it effectively should be then I can
comfortably say that I am not too far off from where it should be. I do understand that all humans
bleed and have feelings therefore I base my decisions on my judgement. I am to a great extent able

Empedocles Cosmology
Empedocles s theory of cosmology is kind of like the theory we have about how the universe was
first started which is the big bang theory but Empedocles had different names for it. Empedocles
had two fundamental forces he called love and strife. Love being the force that pulled people
together and strife being the forces the pushed people away. Empedocles basically said that before
the universeeverything was pulled together by love and eventually it exploded with strife releasing
all the stars and galaxies. This theory is much like the big bangtheory, which states that there was
first nothing and then a big bang happened and everything was created. Next Empedocles thinks
everything is made up of four elements. These elements being water,

Film Techniques In The Film War Of The Worlds
How does the director Steven Spielberg, use film techniques to convey one or more themes in his
film, War of the Worlds?
Steven Spielberg utilizes many techniques, in his film, War of the Worlds, including camera work,
actors and sound effects to convey various themes such as family relationships. An initial scene,
Eve of the War , establishes the relationships amongst the family especially around the central
character Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) which are built upon in Coming of the Invaders . Worst of
Man is a turning point in the story where Ray s character is developed to reveal the love for his
children. In The Fight Begins , Spielberg uses sound effects to convey the development in Robbie s
relationship with Ray. Underfoot and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Worst of Man is essentially a turning point in the story where the audience witnesses Ray s love
for his children. Robbie wears his cap backwards. Spielberg uses this symbolism to show Robbie
s youth and rebellion against his father. The director uses sound effects to establish the danger at
the war zone where the military is attempting to fight off the alien. After Ray hands the car over
to Robbie, he wears his cap correctly because he is given adult like responsibilities. Not only
that, but Ray trusts Robbie which shows how the theme of family relationships develops. Later
in the scene, Robbie hands the car over to Ray as they approach a mob of people showing that
he still relies on his him and this demonstrates the change in their relationship. This also is
supported because for the first time in the film Robbie calls Ray dad . When the crowd is still
attacking Robbie and his father, Ray gets attention with his gun. He asks Where is my son? and
when their car is almost lost, Ray wants the daughter not the car . Both of these examples of
dialogue in the scene and his actions shows how their relationship is changing and to what extent
he will go to save the lives of his children. In a later scene, The Fight Begins , Spielberg uses
sound effects and dialogue to show the trust and belief between Robbie and Ray. Distant sounds of
machine guns and bombs convey the

Red Cabbage pH Mark Lab Work
The Goal of the investigation was to look for and understand the different chemicals (Acids, alkalis
and neutral) work and see a change in color.
Introduction:
The red cabbage mark shows how simple household product such as red cabbage can make a
suitable mark and be able find out if a chemical is either an Neutral, alkali or acid. Chemicals that
are acid reacts with an alkali neutralizing it making water and a salt. Acids commonly are sour
tasting. Acids change with metals, releasing hydrogen gas and leaving behind a salt. Acids

PL is important for the enhancement in reward seeking behavior when the deprived animal is re exposed to the previously rewarding context (reinstatement)(Gourley Taylor, 2016). PL is also important for discriminative reward seeking(Sangha et al., 2014). The BLA PL projectionis important for reinstatement. BLA modulates the activity of PL responding to the CS (Gourley Taylor, 2016). Both IL and PL of the mPFC has reciprocal projections with the BLA. However neural correlates that are not part of the dominant circuit may play a modulatory role in affecting learning rate, or it can have no effect on behavior as they may simply be passive relays from other structures. Critical structures and their projections are major contributors as the absence of any one of them will abolish behavior. Dysregulations that abolish behavioral performance must be either part of or at least influencing critical structures on the circuit. Focusing on circuits that contain only the necessary components is critical to narrow the search for malfunctioning elements that lead to downstream changes and cause behavioral impairment. Results from these aims would refine the current circuit underlying SFRLD. The oppression of the British, there was an invasion of citizen s rights and a threat to the security of the general population, in such conditions it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security(Paul Larkin 18). America entered war viewing security and liberty as one to create the modern united states. However, the balance between liberty and security are different as protecting citizens from foreign threats is different from protecting their liberty. Internet, airport security, and social media are just a few examples of a nation achieving unlimited freedom and security to citizens but also having the power to take it all away as achieving full control of power and privacy is an abuse of the government repeating the same oppression that the founding generation once feared. Many people believe that the passing of Death With Dignity Laws is a slippery slope that will lead to a variety of unethical medical practices including the use of these laws on mentally ill or Alzheimer s patients. In all of the states that passed the law there are strict guidelines as to how can access the law and in many cases the laws have not changed since they were passed. The laws come from the idea that terminally ill people should be able to control how they suffer and ultimately how they die without interference from the government, religious organizations, or other external sources of policy. Although a patient may have the lethal dose of prescription provided by their physician under the law in their possession they have absolutely no obligation to use it and in many they don t. He hopped out of bed, and Audra admired his magnificent, muscular backside with a satisfied smile on her face and he slipped into his trousers, but the spotted a smear of blood on his lower arm. After giving Audra another long kiss, he rose and padded from the room, and Audra stretched out in the bed. She was relaxed and in love, and she pushed away any feelings of guilt. Those could be managed later. During this week, Maxen would be the husband of her heart, and if the gods saw fit to strike her down for her transgressions, it would all be worth it. Comparing Artemis Fowl And Eoin Colfer Compare the Protagonist/Antagonist with any character, already studied or from a book, film, etc. The main protagonist of Airman, Conor Broekhart, is very comparable with a lot of male, teenage characters in books, films, and even some of the characters that are from some short stories that we have read in our last unit. Conor is even comparable to the main protagonistfrom Artemis Fowl, a more famous book and series by the author of this book, Eoin Colfer. Discuss the plot with a focus on current events in the media. The plot in the book, Airman, can be compared to the recent election that happened in America. In my opinion, Hugo Bonvilain, the antagonist of the story, is a lot like Donald Trump in many ways. One of Trump s slogans had to do with making America great again . Hugo Bonvilain, also wanted to make the Saltee Islands like they used to be. Both books deal with the racial inequality of African American in the United States. Both books are autobiographies that show the graphic lives of two African Americans. However, The Autobiography of Malcom X focuses more on a controversial historical figure than on the childhood of a young African Americangirl. This controversial figure is often depicted negatively in media and is overlooked or forgotten about in history classes that focus on Martin Luther King Jr. Interestingly, Malcom X is often portrayed darker in media than he was in reality. MLK, on the other hand, is often shown with a lighter skin tone. This difference speaks volumes to the perception of the two activists. Reading his autobiography educates people on the reality of Malcom X s beliefs and life story. • 15. Globalization Theory Globalization Theory Globalization theory is defined as an approach that addresses the development of the global resurgence of religion (Christiano et al., 2016). With the resurgence of religion came Fundamentalism, which originated in American Protestantism. Fundamentalists where known for practicing the essential fundamentals of Christianity, fighting back the modernization of religion. T.K Oommen (1994) defines fundamentalism as text without context ; meaning the scriptures written back in history where relevant to that history and culture at that time and place (Christiano et al., 2016). Such texts without context then simply disregard current settings. Fundamentalists believe their religion is the objective truth, which as a result, defines other religions as myths (Christiano et al., 2016). Globalization has shifted religious views in our society, from predominately Fundamentalist based to more modern. This shift in religious views has resulted in religions catered to anyone and everyone. Faith is what allows us to accept a truth, a truth believed by many, resulting in religion. The Truth The three greatest Western religions are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam (Christiano et al., 2016). Different societies interpret the Word of God differently. As stated in the text, the Word of God can be magnified or reduced. As a result, this is considered one of the major downfalls of globalization. Although it spread far and wide in the thirty years it held sway, changing attitudes and the beginnings of World War I began the end of the Art Nouveau era. In a period of warfare and scarce resources, the stylized forms made popular in everything from architecture to posters to silverware became too expensive to produce. The flowing, organic lines and ornamentation of the movement began to become more streamlined, leading to the development of the more modern, industrialized stylings of Art Deco. The emphasis became less on decoration, and more on making functionality equal to decoration. Ornamentation became less important, as artists began to focus more on well designed, beautifully formed pieces over more ornamental pieces. The emphasis was, once again, more on material and function combining to create beauty, rather than beauty being added to what was standard pieces. This continued thought that fine and applied arts, artists and designers, could work together to improve not only art, but society itself, was a very Art Nouveau thought, that eventually led to the birth of the Bauhausmovement and the creation of art education as society knows it today. The Bauhaus The Bauhaus school was founded by Walter Gropiusin Weimar, Germany in 1919. It combined a wide variety of arts architecture, sculpture, and painting, with crafts and engineering. • 17. Martin Luther Characterize Paul s Letter To Believers In Rome Martin Luther (1483 1546), Paul and his thought are at the very heart of the Christian theological enterprise. Thus, Luther wrote that Paul s letter to believers in Rome is in truth the most important document in the New Testament, the gospel in its purest expression. . . . It is the soul s daily bread, and can never be read too often, or studied too much. . . . It is a brilliant light, almost enough to illumine the whole Bible. This is how I feel when I read about Paul and his writings. Paul has traditionally been portrayed as having converted from Judaism to Christianity, and thus as both the original apostate and a threat to the Jewish people and to Judaism (Jant, 551). • 18. The Birth Of Structured Products The birth of structured products: Structured products were introduced in the mid 1980s. At that time the economy was characterized by high interest rates and volatility, therefore there was a growing demand for instruments that could hedge against one or more risks and that could give to the greediest investors exposure to markets that they could not enter into by themselves. Because of the recent history and wide variety of structured products, no standard definition exists. In general they are defined as financial instruments with cash flows that depend on the value or performance of underlying assets or embedded derivatives (Bennett, 2013, p.19). Their three main characteristics are: They derive their rating from the quality of the collateral; Their credit rating is enhanced with respect to the underlying assets thanks to their prioritization scheme of claims; They are sold through a separate legal entity. (Fabozzi, Lancaster, Schultz, 2008) Therefore securitization is the process by which illiquid assets (such as a pool of loans) are transformed into liquid instruments to be sold on capital markets (debt securities). The securitization process: To issue a structured product, a financial institution first collects a large number of assets, usually credit sensitive, and assembles them in a portfolio, outsourced to a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The aim of this outsourcing is the isolation of the institution s balance sheet from potential liabilities and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

American historians regard the Mexican American war as the foulest blot on our national honor . (sfmuseum.org) Unethical actions were taken gain Mexican territory. Polk and his hunger for land drove him to find some devious way to fight a war with Mexico. His belligerent attitude in regard to this war was the foulest blot on our national honor. The O Sullivan article on Manifest Destiny sparked an initial interest amongst the American people. The idea that it was the United States destiny to expand across the continent became an ardent hope. America had a strong Christian belief that God had intended this for the country. Even though the Departed stays pretty close to the original screenplay, there are some differences that both add to each film and takes away from the plot. In all, besides their differences, the Departedand Infernal Affairsboth create a thrilling story of the mafia. The first major difference that caught my eye is the similar love interest in the Departed. In this rendition, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) both share an interest with the police psychiatrist. This adds a unique way to connect the characters. Throughout the film, Billy and Colin never met or interacted with each other. However, with both of them visiting the psychiatrist, it provides them with a connection. This creates a sense of knowledge to the audience. It gives a sense of a what if scenario. When I learned of this same love interest, I kept thinking what if they both decided to meet her at the same time, what would happen . This gave me a suspense not like other murder thrillers, but more of a what if they finally meet moment. For a perfectly planned power grid, the power generation of each region is matched with the power consumption within this region, so that the power lines will always carry a reasonable workload. If one power line fails to work, other parallel lines would have to carry extra power, which is bad for safety and may lead to fire. The power system operators are the ones... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And the generating plant don t know it either. Then, because the workload was assigned to other lines, several other lines in the region also declined to work for self protection, and the whole Ohio and Michigan got blackout short after. The company and other government departments noticed the problem, but hardly have anything to do at the time. The cascading effect is already unstoppable. Each generating plant can only separate their generators from the power grid to prevent the large current destroy their generators. So almost all the generating plants in northeastern United States and Ontario went offline, and the whole region got blackout. This happened in only 2 hours. Water pumps cannot work without power supply, so some areas also have water supply problem. And other services like public transportation (e.g. TTC streetcars), communication, and media (radio and TV stations) also affected. Some areas recovered from the blackout the same night, but most areas did not get power back until August 16th, two days after the accident. Both United States government and Canada government were criticized, and they adopted some policy to prevent future blackouts after it. Following the blackout, a thorough investigation of the energy control system was taken. GE s developers looked through millions of lines of code and log to find the bug, and it them weeks to finally locate the bug. The bug is known as a race condition in computer science, ... He is an American musician, singer, and songwriter and is best known for his work with E Street Band which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Springsteen became interested in music after seeing Elvis perform on The Ed Sullivan Show. Springsteen recalled, [Elvis] was as big as the whole country itself... as big as the whole dream. Many seem to think that Born in the U.S.A. is an extremely patriotic song in which Springsteen is almost proclaiming how proud he is to be an American but this is far from reality. The song actually deals with the Vietnam War and the suffering that occurs when veterans come back home. One of Springsteen s verse makes this scene quite a real one for us as listeners, Come back home to the refinery/ Hiring man said son if it was up to me/ Went down to see my V.A. man/ He said son, don t you understand (Springsteen). This particular verse deals with the struggle that many veterans had when they came back home and began looking for jobs. Vietnam was unlike any other war America had been a part of before. First and foremost, most people consider the war a loss for America. The main objective of the war was to stop the spread of Communism to South Vietnam. American troops were able to accomplish this task but as soon as they were pulled out and sent home, the North invaded the South and took over. In the end Communism had spread to South Vietnam. Returning troops are generally welcomed home like the heros that they are. Take World War 2 for example, the troops coming home for combat were welcomed with parades all across the country, but not after Vietnam (COL. Jack Jacobs, U.S. ARMY (RET.)) Prior to the end of America s involvement in Vietnam, the country was divided. Large amounts of demonstrations called for an end to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to statistics, half of the young people questioned say they have given out personal information (full names, ages, email address, phone numbers, hobbies or names of their school) to somebody they met on the Internet. These children can easily be misled by a potential child groomer who poses as another child of their age from the same area, gaining their trust and getting close to them. They can become victims without realising as they wrongly believe that they are chatting to other children because they cannot see who they are chatting to in the online chat rooms that they use. • 44. The Medi A Negative Image Of Lawyers And Judges Essay The media often portrays a negative image of lawyers and judges. The way that lawyers and judges act in media can be described as selfish justice. The meaning of selfish justice refers to the lack of concern that lawyers and judges can have regarding the fairness of a trial and the consequences that a ruling can have on another human life. To clarify, in most crime television shows and even in reality, an innocent person can easily be found guilty in court if the district attorney has enough evidence to prove the defendant crime and if the defense lawyer is not able to counter the evidence. However, many district attorneys as represented on television do not exhibit honesty when it comes to presenting evidence. For example, many episodes showcase district attorneys put false witnesses in the stand to testify against the defendant. Their goal is to manipulate the jury to make them believe that there is enough evidence to procure a guilty verdict. Personal injury and medical malpractice cases are other similar situations. The majority of personal injury and medical malpractice cases get thrown out due to the lack of evidence to compensate the plaintiff (the litigating party) for damages. Thus, we can describe these situations as selfish justice. Lawyer, clients, witness, and judges are considered as selfish justice because the way in which they rule and deal with the lives of others demonstrates lack of consideration for human life and justice in the courtroom. Pros And Cons Of The First Amendment First Amendment When talking about the First Amendment, the law protects us from freedom of speech and free exercise of religion and it also stops Congress from making any new law to prohibit free speech and free exercise. The case involving a Christian printer who refused to print gay pride T shirts. The printer declined the printing job for T shirts promoting a gay pride festival on religious grounds, but he did offer the customer to help them find other local printers to do the work for the same price. Based on the information that was provided the printer had a history of rejecting other orders for shirts promoting sexually explicit material/actions and violence. There are a couple of argument that the owner could argue about one would be is that it is his own business and he put his blood, sweat, and tears into the business. On top of that, it was his own money that started the business without any government helps or assistance. No one should be forced to do anything against what they believe in. For example, you are an Asian business owner of a printing shop and a customer came in and requests to do a print job of a man holding chopstick and a bowl of rice, hanging by the neck with a rope with X as eyes and a tongue sticking out of the mouth. Who would in their right mind take that job? The second argument would be is that the owner has a right to decline to print anything against their belief, and a photographer gay or not has a right to decline to photograph anti gay or gay rally and a Christian printer has a right to decline to print messages that violate their belief. The right of free speech is to protect everyone, and it means that the government doesn t get to force anyone to say things that contradict their deeply held belief. This is not a straight or gay issue but this is a human issue. The third argument would be that he did indeed offer the customer a different a route to go for the print job. He also went out of his way and contact different local printer to take the job that he couldn t do. He is just want to be a good Christian and doesn t want to break any rule. After the devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16, 2014, which killed 135 children, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced a 20 point National Action Plan to combat terrorism, but none of the 20 points in the act pertained to students or education(Sheppard). The Pakistani government continues to fail its female citizens by not protecting them and their right to education. Not only does education need to be accessible, but it also needs to improve in quality. The quality of an education is greatly affected by a lack of resources. Lacking resources include money, technology, and protection that make education more affordable and accessible. Many schools that girls are able to attend in Pakistan are small and not publicly funded. This is a reason for why they are not able to hire quality teachers or invest in technology that will improve their education (Sharif). Since there are many more schools for boys that receive funds from the government, they will continue to be a step ahead of women in all areas of life. In this way, women lose the skills that enables them to think critically and question established wisdom, which thereby restricts them from rising above prejudice, myth, and historical legacies that are holding them back (Sharif). Worst of Man is essentially a turning point in the story where the audience witnesses Ray s love for his children. Robbie wears his cap backwards. Spielberg uses this symbolism to show Robbie s youth and rebellion against his father. The director uses sound effects to establish the danger at the war zone where the military is attempting to fight off the alien. After Ray hands the car over to Robbie, he wears his cap correctly because he is given adult like responsibilities. Not only that, but Ray trusts Robbie which shows how the theme of family relationships develops. Later in the scene, Robbie hands the car over to Ray as they approach a mob of people showing that he still relies on his him and this demonstrates the change in their relationship. This also is supported because for the first time in the film Robbie calls Ray dad . When the crowd is still attacking Robbie and his father, Ray gets attention with his gun. Both of these examples of dialogue in the scene and his actions shows how their relationship is changing and to what extent he will go to save the lives of his children.
