2. The first thing the viewer see’s when clicking on the Kings Of
Leon website page are the two heads, this is the similar style
to their new album cover ‘WALLS’. The website goes for a
simple layout with the drop down column on the right hand
side, so for new viewers, it’s not in their face. The simple
website may suggest that the artist is well established and so
don’t need a ‘in your face’ website.

3. The website also has short cuts in order to short pass through the things the
viewer doesn’t want to see. By using the down key on the keyboard takes you
too this page, where you can click on the sites to listen to the songs, or click
on either US or UK for it to come up with the physical bundles (
merchandise). I feel that this simple layout reflects the band’s identity. As
people, they are rather rebellious and don’t mind what people think, what you
see, is what you get, which I think reflects on the website.

4. Once the viewers click on the nationality they choose, it then takes
you directly to the bands store, which you can login if you’re
regular buyers. I really like the cover photo of the merchandise
you can buy in a montage. I think the dark colours match the
typical rock band’s identity, however I like the pastel colours as
they’re different to other rock bands.

5. I love the use of the bright pastel colours as, the band
themselves play rock songs, so you’d expect low key lighting
and black and white. This site juxtaposes the bands genre. I
also like how easy accessible the tickets are to buy. It simply
presents the date, location and has a icon to buy the tickets,
rather than being long winded, which sometimes puts people
off purchasing the tickets.

6. Although throughout the site, the band use pastel colours which
does juxtapose the bands genre, however, they still keep the
iconography linked to their genre with the objects such as skulls
