The homepage for Bank’s website acts as
welcome page and takes on a minimalistic
style. This homepage also features the
unedited album cover photo without text. In
the top right hand corner of the webpage
there is a drop down menu that offers both
internal and external links, all of which allow
the reader to find out more information
about the artist.

3. FONT
Bank’s website uses an intricate sans serif font. This font has an almost
futuristic style and frequently uses the imagery of eyes. A bespoke
style is used that is unique to the artist and is therefore one of her
USP’s as it is unlikely that our group would be able to create
something similar to using Photoshop. There is also cursive elements
used in this logo. The album title’s font is different to the logo of the
artist which is a serif font that can easily be seen and read so that the
reader is able to differentiate the name of the artist and that of the
album. The imagery of eyes may relate to Barthes semantic codes and
link to the title of the album as ‘The Altar’ as in religion God is
described as being omnipresent and all seeing, which relates to
Barthes's semantic code as eyes are what we use and associate with
seeing and being knowledgeable . This also relates to the artist career
as her debut album was named ‘Goddess’ which might imply that this
artist is particularly religious.

4. COLOUR SCHEME
This website is very minimalistic in style and uses a
monochromatic colour scheme with the colour white used for
text. The use of black and white is effective in relation to the
album's title of ‘The Altar’ as in relation to Barthes's semantic
code as the colours black and white are what we would
stereotypically associate with something that is traditional and
taken very seriously, like religion is to some people. The
colour scheme for this website and album are mainly black
and white with the occasional use of red and blue during live
performances of the songs and in costumes for this albums
music videos. These are all simplistic colours which may be
considered ambiguous as there is no colour used to bear any
connotations about the messages of the album and the music
it contains

This website is very appealing due to its heavy use of and
in order to make the website more appealing to the
reader as they are able to interact with the website by
watching this content. The use of videos is also effective
as it redirects you to the artists YouTube channel which
offers more information about the artist all whilst you are
listening to their music. There is also links to music videos
from previous eras from the artists career and certain
links within video descriptions that redirect you to
streaming platforms so that you are able to listen to the
artist’s music by simply clicking these hyperlinks on the
homepage of the website.

External links can be found in the social media bar which is placed at the top of
the website and therefore they are the first thing that a potential visitor would see
when navigating this website
Internal links can be found directly above the external links and direct the viewer to
live dates, merchandise the artists discography and finally a news section which is
also linked to the various social media platforms that the artist has.
Site visitors are also given the option to subscribe to a newsletter via email which
will provide them with additional information and updates about the artists.
Internal links use the same style font whilst the external links are
more likely to use logos or symbols e.g. the Facebook and Twitter logos.
