Geopaparazzi: Never Out of Data in the Field
The workshop is dedicated to professionals that needs to collect data from the field and use this information to update or create GIS data, but also to OpenStreetMappers as well as tourists that want to keep a geo-diary. Geopaparazzi is a mobile application for digital field mapping for Android devices developed to support the work of the technicians in the field offering a mapping environment with real time GPS position and a form for structured data collection. The application is easy to use, intuitive and provides just few important functionalities to be used in the field, as for example register GPS tracks and take georeferenced notes and pictures with the possibility to work also off line. The main features available in Geopaparazzi are: - taking georeferenced notes: texts, pictures, sketches and forms - logging GPS tracks - browsing and navigation of the maps and the available data - easy export of the collected data - simple preparation of custom background data. The map view shows the GPS position on the reference background data with the possibility to pan and zoom. From the map view it is possible to add and manage notes and bookmarks and measure distances. Notes and bookmarks can be added directly to the map either in the GPS position or in the center of the map. From a dedicated list view it is possible to visualize, zoom and edit each note. Background data can be personalized using available local data or on-line services with the possibility to use vector offline Mapsforge basemaps, Mbtiles offline databases, TMS (online and offline tiles) and WMS services. Geopaparazzi supports personalized complex forms with combo and check boxes, text fields (that can be constrained to number or string type), pictures (taken using the mobile internal camera) and sketches organized over multiple tabs. The workshop starts with an introduction of the application, installation and main features. Then a short section will be dedicated to the preparation of the input data: background maps and vector layers. Following these sections there is a practical testing of Geopaparazzi outdoor in the field. The last section, back in the room, is dedicated to the export of the collected data to be visualized or used in other GIS environments.
After that many years of development of mobile applications for working in the field, HydroloGIS recently release the new app to support all kind of outdoor activities, SMASH – Smart Mobile Application for Surveyor’s Happiness. SMASH (https://www.geopaparazzi.org/smash/index.html). SMASH is a user-friendly, modern, faster to develop and cross platform app for the eyes of IOS, Android, but also Macos and Linux users. The main functionalities are the possibility to collect georeferenced pictures, notes and GPS tracks logs.
It opens directly on the map view where it is possible to navigate local or online raster and vector data in different formats: Geopackage, shapefile, tiff+png+jpg with wtf, MBTiles, Mapsforge and GPX, all with a custom CRS and the support for standard SLD style definition. Online supported formats are WMS and TMS and there is a nice service catalog and wizard for adding most common WMS/TMS. Geopackage and PostGIS layers also have editing support.
SMASH simplifies the data collection and the export of the survey into easy processable data files (GPX, PDF) or through a direct synchronization with the GSS (Geopaparazzi Survey Server). The Survey Server has been redesigned with the same technology used by SMASH and has now the ability to visualize data in the same look and feel as the mobile app.
Notes serverside-versioning has been introduced to enhance synchronization of data by teams. A redmine plugin is being developed by community members to create a geo-ticketing system.
This presentation gives an insight about the state of the art of the SMASH focusing on the possible applications and customization.

Design and research of CNC platform based on CAN busIJRES Journal
The conventional CNC systems mostly adopt closed design in the structure and function, so the
product is not compatible with each other Open CNC system based on CAN bus solves this problem. The
advancement of CAD and CAM technology based on CAN bus can make CAD / CAM system generate
NC code which directly control machine tool to achieve automated production . CAN bus networking
communication connect dispersed CNC machine tools,so that you can lower cost to achieve directly digital
control with DNC. The design are required to complete a open three-axis CNC platform based on CAN bus.
Required to have openness, each CNC system collects real-time data which is uploaded to a central control
room, then the host computer produce control instructions after co-synthesis process. In addition, each module
has a strong independence NC which can also be used in other systems. In all,the system has reliable,
responsive, cheap performance and so on.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
