With the growing and aging population, patient auto monitoring systems are becoming more popular. Smart sensors linked with the internet of things (IoT) make patients' auto monitoring system possible. Nowadays myRIO with LabVIEW is more popular for easy data acquisition, instrument control, and automation. This paper proposed myRIO and IoT based health monitoring and diagnosing system (HMDS) to acquire heartbeat rate, pulse, blood pressure (BP), temperature and activities of the patient using various smart sensors with more accuracy. The acquired raw data from the various sensors had been sent to the myRIO using ESP 8266 Wi-Fi module. The received raw data by the myRIO would be processed to the equivalent medical parameters using LabVIEW and the same might be transferred to the remote monitoring system (RMS) using cloud via a gateway. The abnormalities in the obtained data would be monitored and the diagnosis was made. The experimental setup was developed using various wearable sensors, ESP 8266, myRIO with LabVIEW and cloud with the gateway.
There are a number of scopes for IoT in order to make a difference in lives of patients. The devices can capture as well as monitor related data regarding patient and allows the providers to obtain the insights without bringing the patients visiting. The procedure can assist the patient results as well as preventing the possible communications for the process that involves risk. However, lack of electronic health record (EHR) system integration is one of the major issues faced while using IoT in healthcare. Some of the EHR systems allow the patients importing data into the record. However, it remains limited to a few dominant where the EHR players as well as leaves providers unspecific of the processing data that can be helpful for the organization to use the process. The challenges for interoperability in order to keep data in distinctive medical devices depend on the purpose and ordering physician.

The epidemic growth of wireless technology and mobile services in this epoch is creating a great impact on our life style. Some early efforts have been taken to utilize these technologies in medical industry. In this field, ECG sensor based advanced wireless patient monitoring system concept is a new innovative idea. This system aims to provide health care to the patient. We have sensed the patient’s ECG through 3 lead electrode system via AD8232 which amplifies minor and small bio-signals to the arduino which processes them, along with saline level. Saline level is detected through IR sensors. The output of the electrical pulse is shown with the serial monitor. The saline level is indicated by LCD. The major output ECG analog signal is displayed on serial plotter. The outputs are displayed through mobile application.

Advances in sensor technology, personal mobile devices, and wireless broadband communications are enabling the development of an integrated personal mobile health monitoring system that can provide patients with a useful tool to assess their own health and manage their personal health information anytime and anywhere. Personal mobile devices, such as PDAs and mobile phones, are becoming more powerful integrated information management tools and play a major role in many people's lives. Here I focus on designing a Mobile health-monitoring system for people who stay alone at home or suffering from Heart Disease. This system presents a complete unified and mobile platform based connectivity solution for unobtrusive health monitoring. Developing a hardware which will sense heart rate and temperature of a patient, using Bluetooth modem all information lively transmitted to smart phone, from smart phone all information transmitted to server using GPRS. At server the received data compared with the standard threshold minimum and maximum value. The normal range of heart rate is 60 to 135 and the temperature of the patient is said to be normal above 95^F and below 104^F. If at all the rate increases above 145 or decreases below 55,it may be fatal and if it crossed this threshold limit then SMS will be sent to the relative of patient and Doctors along with measured values. The build-in GPS further provides the position information of the monitored person. The remote server not only collects physiological measurements but also tracks the position of the monitored person in real time. For transmitting data from Smartphone to the server using GPRS, here we need to create a website on data will be continuously transmitted from Smartphone to the website and from website data will be downloaded continuously on the server.

With rapid development of economies, growth of aging population and the prevalence of chronic diseases across the world, there is an urgent need to find new ways to improve patient outcomes, increase access to care, and reduce the cost of medical care. A health care monitoring system is necessary to constantly monitor patient’s physiological parameters. The tele-medical system focuses on the measurement and evaluation of vital parameters e.g. temperature, electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate variability, fall detection etc. This will enable doctors and care givers to observe patients without having to be physically present at their bedside, be it in the hospital or in their home.

In today’s fast growing communication environment and rapid exchange of data in networking field has triggered us to develop a home based remote supervisory monitoring system. In the present paper the physiological parameters of the patient such as body temperature, ECG, Pulse rate and Oxygen Saturation is displayed in MATLAB graphical user interface which is processed using ARM7 LPC2138. In case any emergency persist and parameters goes abnormal over the optimum level then a buzzer will ring to alert the caretaker. And the vital parameters will be displayed on the patient side computer and an automatic SMS will be sent to the doctor using GSM interface.
Recently, in many cases, the reason for a patient staying in the hospital is not that he or she actually needs active medical care. Often, the principal reason for a lengthy stay in the hospital is simply continual observation. Therefore, efforts have been made to avoid acute admissions and long lengths of stay in the hospital. In recent years, emergency admissions and long lengths of stay have become extremely costly. So the focus of health policy has shifted away from the provision of reactive, acute care toward preventive care outside the hospital. As models of care are redesigned, health economies are seeking to provide more care outside large acute centers. The drivers for this shift are two-fold; first, there is a quality-of-care issue and second, there is a resource allocation issue. Being cared for in a patient’s own home is a key aim of current U.K. government health policy and that is driven by an imperative to provide better quality care to people without the need to disrupt their lives. Investment in technologies that enable remote monitoring would lead to long-term gains in terms of hospital finances and patient care.
In the last decade the healthcare monitoring systems have drawn considerable attentions of the researchers. The prime goal was to develop a reliable patient monitoring system so that the healthcare professionals can monitor their patients, who are either hospitalized or executing their normal daily life activities. In this work we present a mobile device based wireless healthcare monitoring system that can provide real time online information about physiological conditions of a patient. Our proposed system is designed to measure and monitor important physiological data of a patient in order to accurately describe the status of her/his health and fitness. In addition the proposed system is able to send alarming message about the patient’s critical health data by text messages or by email reports. By using the information contained in the text or e-mail message the healthcare professional can provide necessary medical
advising. The system mainly consists of sensors, the data acquisition unit, microcontroller (i.e., Arduino), and software (i.e., LabVIEW). The patient’s temperature, heart beat rate, muscles, blood pressure, blood glucose level, and ECG data are monitored, displayed, and stored by our system. To ensure reliability and accuracy the proposed system has been field tested. The test results show that our system is able to measure the patient’s physiological data with a very high accuracy.

Effect of Medium Composition on Changes of Surface Tension During Cultivation...IJERA Editor
This study evaluated the ability of biosurfactant production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa LBM10 using glycerol as the sole carbon source. Batch cultivations were performed at 30°C and 180 rpm. The effects of glycerol concentration, C/N ratio and C/P ratio on changes of surface tension were analyzed through a Central Composite Rotational Design. Nitrogen and phosphorus-limiting conditions favored the biosurfactant production. In order to maximize the surface tension reduction, contour plots constructed by predictive polynomial equations resulted in a glycerol concentration of 13.2 g/l, a C/N ratio of 80 and a C/P ratio of 147.2.

Hydrogeological Studies At Jalakandapuram Sub – Basin Of Sarabanga Minor Basi...IJERA Editor
The main objective of the present study is to investigate the hydrogeology of the Jalakandapuram sub – basin, groundwater potential and quality of groundwater for domestic, industrial and agricultural purposes. Jalakandapuram ( Latitudes 11° 35‟30‟‟N to 11°46‟25‟‟N and Longitudes 77°48‟30‟‟ E to 78°2‟E) Sub- basin is one among the four sub- basins of the Sarabanga minor basins which comes under the Cauvery basin. It has an areal extent of about 325 Sq.Kms. The study area has been studied with aerial Photographs (Block and white) prepared under UNDP Project (1971) and satellite Imageries (IRS IA – LISS II ). The base map of the Jalakandapuram sub – basin has been prepared from the topo sheets (1: 50,000 scale) 58 E/14, 58 E/13, 58 I/2 Published by the Geological Survey of India in the year 1972. The location of the study area, its accessibility, Physiography, climate, rainfall and vegetation are presented. to classify the groundwater of Jalakandapuram sub-basin. This was done using the 25 water samples that were collected by the author and analysed in the Soil Testing Laboratory, Salem – 1. Plots of water samples in the hydrogeochemical classification diagrams (Piper‟s, Handa‟s and USSL) throw light on the quality of groundwater within the study area.
Investigation on Divergent Exit Curvature Effect on Nozzle Pressure Ratio of ...IJERA Editor
The objective of this project work is to computationally analyze shock waves in the Convergent Divergent (CD) Nozzle. The commercial CFD code Fluent is employed to analyze the compressible flow through the nozzle. The analysis is about NPR (Nozzle Pressure Ratio) i.e., the ratio between exit pressure of the nozzle to ambient pressure. The various models of CD Nozzle are designed and the results are compared. The flow characteristic of shockwave for various design of CD Nozzle is also discussed. The purpose of this project is to investigate supersonic C-D nozzle flow for increasing NPR (Nozzle pressure ratio) through CFD. The imperfect matching between the pressures and ambient pressure and exit pressure leads to the formation of a complicated shock wave structure. Supersonic nozzle flow separation occurs in CD nozzles at NPR values far above their design value that results in shock formation inside the nozzle. The one-dimensional analysis approximations are not accurate, in reality the flow detaches from the wall and forms a separation region, subsequently the flow downstream becomes non-uniform and unstable. Shock wave affects flow performance of nozzle from NPR value 1.63 for existing geometrical conditions of nozzle. Problem of using this nozzle above 1.63NPR is shock wave at downstream of throat. After shock wave, static pressure increases further downstream of flow. It leads to flow separation and back pressure effects. Back pressure makes nozzle chocked. To investigate this problem, geometry of divergent portion is introduced and analysed through CFD. This is expected in resulting of reduction of flow separation and back pressure effect as well as increase in nozzle working NPR.
Assessment of sanitation levels of sources of water in Osun State Capital, Ni...IJERA Editor
A study of the physicochemical and bacteriological analysis including BOD and COD was carried out for sources of water in Oshogbo the Capital of the State of Osun. Seven water sampling areas were selected to cover the low, medium and high population density areas of the State Capital. Water samples were collected from five sources of water, namely, shallow well, borehole, stream, rain and river. Water samples were collected from the well, borehole and stream water sources from Dada Estate and Isale Oshun for low density population, Ayetoro, Ogo-Oluwa and Oke-Ayepe for medium density, and Oke-Bale and Igbona for high density population areas. Three sampling points were undertaken for the rain water source while River Oshun source at Isale-Oshun was the 25th water sampling point. A total of 25 water quality parameters were analyzed for each of the 25 water sources sampled using the facility at the Rural Water And Environmental Sanitation Agency, RUWESA in Osun State Government Secretariat in Abere. Results indicated that 8 of the water quality parameters, pH, Turbidity; Magnesium hardness, Free Chlorine, Nitrite, Bacteriological, BOD and COD were not within Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) permitted water quality standards and are of concern to sanitation of potable water in the State Capital. The level of each parameter differs from source to source as well as from level of population densities. The sources that were adjudged polluted were Ogo-Oluwa and Oke-Ayepe well sources; Ogo-Oluwa, Oke-Bale and Igbona stream sources Oke-Bale Rain source.R and the River source at Isale-Oshun. The polluted sources are all within the medium and high population density areas of the State Capital.

Electroelastic Response of a Piezoelectric Semi-infinite Body with D∞ Symmetr...IJERA Editor
In this paper, with the aim of developing a nondestructive evaluation technique using piezoelectric signals in
wooden materials, we theoretically study the electroelastic field in a semi-infinite body with D∞ symmetry
subjected to surface friction parallel to the ∞-fold rotation axis. By applying the analytical technique previously
proposed by us, we formulate expressions for electroelastic field quantities, including electric potential, electric
field, electric displacement, elastic displacement, strain, and stress by using two “elastic displacement potential
functions” and two “piezoelastic displacement potential functions.” These potential functions and, consequently,
the electroelastic field quantities are formulated using Fourier transforms in order to satisfy electroelastic
boundary conditions. We carried out numerical calculations to correctly evaluate field quantities inside the body
and at its surface. As a result, we were successful in quantitatively elucidating the surface electric displacement
in response to the elastic stimulus of surface friction and suggested the possibility of a nondestructive evaluation
technique using piezoelectric signals.

An Automated Input Data Management Approach for Discrete Event Simulation App...IJERA Editor
Slipforming operation’s linearity is a source of planning complications, and operation is usually subjected to bottlenecks at any point, so careful planning is required in order to achieve success. On the other hand, Discrete-event simulation concepts can be applied to simulate and analyze construction operations and to efficiently support construction scheduling. Nevertheless, preparation of input data for construction simulation is very challenging, time consuming and human prone-error source. Therefore, to enhance the benefits of using DES in construction scheduling, this study proposes an integrated module to establish a framework for automating the generation of time schedules and decision support for Slipform construction projects, particularly through the project feasibility study phase by using data exchange between project data stored in an Intermediate database, DES and Scheduling software. Using the stored information, proposed system creates construction tasks attribute [e.g. activities durations, material quantities and resources amount], then DES uses all the given information to create a proposal for the construction schedule automatically. This research is considered a demonstration of a flexible Slipform project modeling, rapid scenario-based planning and schedule generation approach that may be of interest to both practitioners and researchers.
Enhanced Seamless Handoff Using Multiple Access Points in Wireless Local Area...IJERA Editor
The Mobility in wireless cellular communication systems is its backbone so as to enhance the quality of service and maintain the continuous service. Handoff is an important task in maintaining the continuity of call in cellular systems and its failure can result in ongoing call termination. In cellular mobile networks, the coverage region is divided into smaller cells in order to achieve high system capacity. Each cell has a Base-Station (BS), which provides the service to the Mobile Terminals (MTs), i.e. users equipped with phones, within its region. Before a mobile user can communicate with other user(s) in the network, a group of the frequency bands or channels should usually be assigned. The MTs is free to move across cells. When the mobile user crossing a cell boundary or by deterioration in quality of the signal in the current channel, handoff process is initiated. The scope of this project is to design 802.11 handoff schemes to solve the handoff problems in closely-spaced WLANs.The major problem in multiple WLANs are so many users trying to use same access point(AP), and interferences from nearby WLAN. The better hand off scheme based on signal strength and velocity of the nodes is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed handoff scheme significantly reduces packet losses compared with existing handoff schemes.

Turbulent Heat Transfer from a Flat Plate Placed Downstream of a FenceIJERA Editor
This paper presents an experimental study of the heat transfer and flow friction for turbulent flows of air over a
heated flat plate mounted downstream of a fence. A rectangular brass plate is attached to a heating unit and fixed
inside the test section of a subsonic wind tunnel. A number of non-metallic fences with different heights are used
separately to promote turbulence over the plate. A series of experiments are conducted to examine the following
parameters: fence height to plate length ratio (H/L), the distance between the fence and plate relative to plate
length (S/L) and the Reynolds number, which is calculated based on the stream wise length of the plate
(1.5×105≤ ReL≤ 4.5×105). The first set of the results, which is obtained for the case of the flat plate without a
fence, satisfied with other published results. The results in the cases of the plate placed downstream of a fence
revealed that the Nusselt number and friction factor are critically dependent on the fence height and the distance
between the fence and the plate. A maximum Nusselt number enhancement ratio of 1.7 was achieved
corresponding to a friction factor ratio of 2.5. New correlation was obtained for the thermal efficiency (η) based
on the Nusselt number enhancement ratio and friction factor ratio at different arrangements of the considered
parameters.
Effects of Soil and Air Drying Methods on Soil Plasticity of Different Cities...IJERA Editor
Atterberg Limits were initially defined in 1911, by Albert Atterberg, a Swedish scientist. Their purposes are to classifying cohesive soils and determine engineering properties of soils. According to ASTM, all the soils tested by Atterberg limits should be oven dried, it is because drying the soils in different degree will alter their properties significantly. Some of the physical properties of soils will undergo changes that appear to be permanent. Therefore, the soil samples should be in natural or air-dried form. However, in reality, due to time constraint and other factors, many will run the tests by using soil samples that are prepared by oven drying method. They assumed that there is no difference between the results of two types of drying method. However, in reality, the properties of soil will be affected and thus give a misleading result. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of two drying methods, air-drying method and oven drying method, on the soil plasticity. Six soil samples from different cities were tested. These tests include sieve analysis, specific gravity test, hydrometer analysis, Plastic limit and liquid limit test. Conclusively, the oven drying method could not replace the air-drying method in soil preparation for both Atterberg limits tests.

A Low Power Wearable Physiological Parameter Monitoring Systemijsrd.com
The design and development of a low power wearable physiological parameter monitoring system have been developing and reporting in this paper. The system can be used to monitor physiological parameters, such as ECG signals, temperature and heartbeat. The system consists of an electronic device which is worn on the wrist and finger, by an at-risk person. Using several sensors to measure different vital signs, the person is wirelessly monitored within his own home. An epic sensor has been used to detect ECG signals. The device is battery powered for use outdoors. The device can be easily adapted to monitor athletes and infants. The low cost of the device will help to lower the cost of home monitoring of patients recovering from illness. A prototype of the device has been fabricated and extensively tested with very good results.
As elderly population increases day by day caretaking demands are also increasing. Hence patient health monitoring systems are gaining importance these days. This paper is based on monitoring of patients. We have designed and developed a reliable, energy efficient patient monitoring system. It is able to send parameters of patient in real time. It enables the doctors to monitor patient's health parameters (temp, heartbeat, ECG, position) in real time. In the current proposed system the patient health is continuously monitored using different sensors which is connected to the Arduino board. And the acquired data is send to the server using Ethernet shield attached to the Arduino board. If any of the parameter values goes beyond the threshold value an alert is given to the doctor using an Android application installed in the doctor’s smartphone.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

ABSTRACT
In this review paper we will develop wireless biomedical parameter monitoring system using Zig Bee. The
system can be used to monitor physiological parameters, such as Blood pressure (Systolic and Diastolic), Pulse
rate, Temperature of a human subject. Using several sensors to measure different vital signs, the person is
wirelessly monitored within his own home. Impact sensor has been used to detect falls. The device detects if
person is medically distressed and sends an alarm to a receiver unit that is connected to a computer. This sets off
an alarm allowing help to be provided to the user. The device is battery powered for used outdoors.
Keywords – Sensors, wireless transmission, ZigBee.
I. INTRODUCTION
Wireless sensors and sensor network become
great interest to research, scientific and technological
community. Patient in the ICU need constant
monitoring of their physiological parameters such as
measurement of blood pressure, Pulse rate,
Temperature. It incorporates Sensors to measure such
important parameters and interfacing with
microcontroller and making wireless communication
through ZigBee. Patient not getting timely and proper
help. So, the fixed and periodic monitoring system
can be used only when patient is on bed and this
system are huge and also available in the hospital.
Any abnormality felt by the patient is indicated by an
alarm signal.
II. WIRELESS SENSORS
Sensors to monitor physical or environmental
conditions, such as temperature, sound pressure, etc.
and to cooperatively pass their data through the
network to a main location. The more modern
networks are bi-directional, also enabling control of
sensor activity. The development of wireless sensor
networks was are used in many industrial and
consumer applications, such as industrial process
monitoring and control, and so on.
1.1 Blood Pressure Sensor
Blood pressure is the pressure of the blood in the
arteries as it is pumped around the body by the heart.
When your heart beats, it contracts and pushes blood
through the arteries to the rest of your body.
This force creates pressure on the arteries. Blood
pressure sensor records two numbers— the systolic
pressure (as the heart beats) over the diastolic
pressure (as the heart relaxes between beats). The
unit which measures this is called
Sphygmomanometer. Sensor reads blood pressure
and outputs at 9600 baud rate and Shows Systolic,
Diastolic Readings.
2.2 Pulse Sensor
Pulse is the Non-invasive method for monitoring
a person’s pulse per minute, pulse is the surge of
blood that is pushed through the arteries when the
heart beats. Source of pulse is heart, the contraction
of heart result in heart beat. This beat forces blood to
pass through the arteries, The forcing of blood to pass
through the arteries results in the formation of pulse.
Pulse sensor Consist of IR-transmitter and IR
receiver and Device is placed on a thin part of patient
body, usually fingertip. The device passes two
wavelength of light through the body part to a photo
detector. It measures the changing absorbance at each
of the wavelengths, allowing it to determine the
absorbances due to pulsing arterial blood alone.
Internally to sensor are two IR and Red LED and
Light Detector on other side. A finger pulse oximeter
is composed of two light emitting diodes (LED) for
sensing blood volume and blood oxygen saturation in
the finger. When the heart pumps a pulse of blood
through the blood vessel, the finger slightly becomes
more opaque and light reached through the detector.
With each heart pulse the detector signal varies, this
variation is converted to electrical pulse. This signal
is amplified through an amplifier which outputs
analog voltage between 0to 5V logic levels
2.3 Temperature Sensor
LM35 is an IC sensor that can be used to
measure temperature with an electrical output
proportional to temp. It measure temperature more
accurately than using a thermistor. The sensor
circuitry is sealed and not subject to oxidation.LM35
generates higher output voltage than thermocouples
and may not require that the output voltage be
