ISRO has achieved several major milestones in space exploration. It was the first country to reach Mars in its first attempt in 2014 with a budget of just $70 million USD. ISRO also achieved 25 consecutive successful launches with its PSLV rocket. In 2014, ISRO launched its first GSLV rocket carrying a prototype crew module for a future human spaceflight mission. Future projects include reusable launch vehicles, unified launch vehicles, Chandrayaan 2 which will send an orbiter and lander to the moon, and exploration missions to Venus and studying the sun's corona.
