PIC-MCCM is a module to compute plasma parameters of non-equilibrium and low temperature plasma in various semiconductor manufacturing reactors, magnetron sputtering reactors and thin-film manufacturing reactors. A numerical method of behavior of charged particles is PIC(Particle-In-Cell) method and a numerical method of collision between charged particles and neutral particles (elastic, in-elastic such as ionization, excitation, charge exchange and dissociation etc.) is Monte Carlo method, respectively. PIC-MCCM is a module to compute the motion of charged particles by small time steps (less than nsec) in the electric field generated by spatial charge and electrodes(RF,DC and grounded),insulators and/or ICP coils under magneto-statistical field in three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates.
Physical vapor deposition (PVD) involves depositing thin films onto surfaces through the condensation of vaporized material in vacuum conditions. There are various PVD methods that differ in how the material is vaporized, such as through high temperature evaporation or plasma sputter bombardment. Common film thicknesses range from nanometers to thousands of nanometers. PVD is used to form coatings with improved properties for applications like cutting tools, medical devices, and semiconductor manufacturing. Sputter deposition is a common PVD technique that vaporizes material using energetic particle bombardment in a plasma.
Chemical Vaour Deposition & Physical Vapour Deposition techniques.Tapan Patel
This document provides an overview of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes. CVD involves reacting vapor phase chemicals in a reaction chamber to form a thin solid film on a substrate. Key steps in the CVD process include transporting reactants, adsorption on the substrate surface, and desorption of byproducts. PVD involves vaporizing a solid material using techniques like evaporation, sputtering, or pulsed laser deposition under vacuum conditions. The vaporized material then condenses as a thin film on the substrate. The document compares advantages and applications of the two deposition methods.
The document provides an overview of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes. CVD involves reacting vapor phase chemicals in a chamber to form a thin solid film on a substrate. It can be used to deposit a variety of materials. PVD involves physically vaporizing a material in a chamber and re-depositing it as a thin film on a substrate. It has various variants like sputtering and evaporative deposition. Both CVD and PVD are used to deposit thin films for applications like semiconductor devices, coatings, optical fibers and composites.
Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a process used to produce high-purity solid materials through chemical reactions of vapor phase precursors on a substrate. Key steps include transport of reactants to the substrate surface, adsorption and decomposition reactions, and removal of byproducts. CVD processes are classified based on operating pressure and can be used to deposit a variety of materials through control of temperature, precursor gases, and other parameters.
Plasma etching is a key process in microelectronic device manufacturing that uses reactive gases and radio frequency power to chemically etch materials in an anisotropic manner. It offers advantages over wet etching such as better control, reproducibility, selectivity, and ability to produce vertical sidewalls. While more expensive than wet etching, plasma etching became widely adopted in the 1970s and enabled the manufacturing of smaller features needed for advancing microelectronics technology.

The Five Things You Must Do To Have A Bona Fide Quality Management System Tha...Andre Barnarde
The New ISO 9001 Standard for Quality Management was Ratified in September 2015.
Here are FIVE THINGS you must do to have an effective QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM that complies to the new standard.
The document summarizes a presentation by Chad Kymal on implementing ISO 9001:2000 in a way that increases value and reduces lead time. Kymal discusses common roadblocks in implementation and how to prevent them. He also outlines steps to transition from the 1994 standard, create value from the implementation, and drive culture change and savings quickly through a structured implementation plan and use of quality management software.
The document discusses balanced scorecards and how they can be used as a management toolkit to measure performance from customer, internal process, and learning and growth perspectives in addition to traditional financial measures. It provides examples of how metrics can be cascaded down from strategic scorecards to operational unit scorecards. Cause and effect relationships between metrics are also discussed, as well as how balanced scorecards can be linked to other frameworks like COBIT and used to track performance against business objectives.
This document provides an overview and agenda for an ISO 9001:2015 Awareness Training session taking place at ExaSense Labs. The training will cover topics such as quality management principles, definitions of key terms, the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, and the benefits of certification. It will explore concepts like the PDCA continual improvement cycle, risk-based thinking, and process approaches. Attendees will learn about ISO standards for different industries and how the ISO 9001:2015 standard has evolved over time.
This document outlines 8 reasons to implement an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. It explains that ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized standard that can deliver quality products and services. Implementing this system can 1) separate a business from its competitors by demonstrating professionalism and commitment to customers, 2) increase repeat and new business by ensuring customer satisfaction, and 3) improve decision making, reduce waste, and drive efficiency through defined processes and continuous improvement.
