Brief description of the project: The Better Work and Standards Programme (BEST)
was project in Bangladesh funded by the European Union (EU), Norwegian Agency
for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and the Government of Bangladesh (GoB)
to modernize the national quality infrastructure. Ministry of Industries was the lead
ministry. Other implementing agencies were BSTI, BAB, BCSIR.
Major Responsibilities and achievements
 Planning, managing and implementing project activities in consultation with the
Technical Adviser (TA) and the Chief Technical Adviser (CTA).
 Provide technical support as a National Expert to the international experts recruited
for:
oformulation of the National Quality Policy under the Ministry of Industries
