This document summarizes a study on traffic congestion in Hinjewadi, Pune, India. Hinjewadi is home to a large IT park that houses over 120 companies. Traffic congestion is a major issue, with average speeds as low as 6 kph during peak hours. The study analyzed the causes of congestion, including a high percentage of private vehicle use over public transportation due to poor public transport options. Solutions proposed include road widening, staggered work hours, dedicated bus lanes, and the future development of the Pune Metro rail system. The 23.33 km Phase II of the metro is planned to connect Hinjewadi to other parts of Pune.

All of India’s cities face an urban transport crisis. While issues such as poor connectivity, bad road quality, traffic congestion, air and noise pollution are constantly talked about, parking is seen as one having negligible effect on the quality of urban transport. The MV Asia study on parking in Mumbai shows that a car spends only 4 per cent of its life in motion and the remaining 96 per cent of the time it is parked (Mumbai Transformation Support Unit 2008). With the increasing trend in the growth of private vehicles, it is imperative that parking be seen as an important factor for making an efficient transportation system within our cities.

A study of sustainable transportation system in ahmedabad and delhiIJARIIT
This paper on sustainable urban transport attempts to overview an all-inclusive set of indicators which are taken up
by planners, authorities in order to help cities for developing an integrated and sustainable transportation system. Developing
countries like India, where unplanned urbanization and unparalleled growth in motorization have led to increased focus on
sustainable use of mass transit systems like commuter rails and bus transportation. An integrated transportation strategy is
most needed so that these modes of transport are integrated efficiently to facilitate the sustainable transportation. The vision of
planners is to ensure easy access, safe, affordable, quick, comfortable, reliable and sustainable mobility for all sections of the
society in our cities. The present transport system in most of the Indian cities is stressed under an urban environment which is
made up of different sub-systems. Hence it is obvious to understand how these sub systems perform in order to have a
sustainable mass-transit transportation network. The various modes of urban transportation – BRTS, Metro, Bicycle-sharing,
usage of CNG fuels – currently available in the city of Ahmedabad and Delhi are discussed in the paper in the context of
urban transport characteristics, public transport, and non-motorized transport. For promoting sustainable urban transport in a
holistic manner it is equally important to understand the social, economic and environmental sustainability of each of these
sub-systems.

PREDICTION OF ROAD ACCIDENT MODELLING FOR INDIAN NATIONAL HIGHWAYSIAEME Publication
The objective of this research article is to identify the most critical safety influencing variables of a section of four-lane National Highway-18(old)/40(New) through statistical models that explains the relationship between frequency of accident count and highway safety variables. The Highway traverses mainly through a plain terrain of mostly agricultural areas. The study is for newly constructing Four-Lane road between chainage 224.000 (Chagalamarri) to 359.9(Kurnool) to identify all safety deficiencies responsible for road accidents. The predictive ability using Multiple linear regression model is under two categories: First for the 2 lane sections and second for 4 lane sections separately. The validation tools were applied to examine the ability of models to predict accidents.
The global pandemic has had a massive socio-economic impact on the urban mobility sector. As the government eases lockdown measures, urban mobility is becoming a huge focus of anxiety, with a large number of people considering when and how to resume travel. This implies that the transport system will have to be re-designed such that passengers are at a safe enough distance from each other. Serious questions like: will personal vehicles become the safest means to travel? What about the safety of people who cannot afford personal vehicles? What will happen to the present mode of public transport, will need answers.
This report titled, “Resetting for Urban Mobility 2020+ in India” discusses challenges brought in the urban mobility space by the COVID-19 pandemic. The document highlights the key measures to be taken at both the government and individual levels as public
transportation across the globe begins to unlock. Viewpoints from London, Singapore, and India – on the future of urban planning and public transport in response to the ongoing pandemic have also been discussed in this document. Experts from these counties contribute to a deeper understanding of safety measures adopted.

Feasibility Study of Samruddhi Expresswayvivatechijri
An analysis and evaluation of a proposed project to determine if it is technically feasible, isfeasible within the estimated cost, and will be profitable. Feasibility studies are almost always conducted wherelarge sums are at stake. This paper is an effort in the similar direction, to study Samruddhi Expressway whetherthe project is feasible or not. India has one of the largest road networks in the world, consisting nationalhighways, state highways, major district roads, other district roads and village roads. Roads are the key to thedevelopment of an economy. A good road network constitutes the basic infrastructure that accelerates thedevelopment process through connectivity. The Government of India has planned 10 world class expresshighways in order to boost the road infrastructure for faster connectivity between different cities. SimultaneouslyGovernment of Maharashtra has planned Samruddhi Expressway (Nagpur Mumbai Expressway) (NMEW)which intends to divert and redistribute the heavy traffic on existing corridors.Feasibility studies in theconstruction industry can be simply defined as the evaluation of the viability of a development project. It is usedas a tool for analyzing if a proposed task can operate under a given set of assumptions, such as the technologyused and the monetary aspects of the construction work. Feasibility studies focus on providing information tohelp investors decide whether to proceed or redesign a proposed development project or idea. They are mainlyused in business ventures relating to the construction industry.

A CAR POOLING MODEL WITH CMGV AND CMGNV STOCHASTIC VEHICLE TRAVEL TIMESEditor IJMTER
Carpooling (also car-sharing, ride-sharing, lift-sharing), is the sharing of car journeys so
that more than one person travels in a car. It helps to resolve a variety of problems that continue to
plague urban areas, ranging from energy demands and traffic congestion to environmental pollution.
Most of the existing method used stochastic disturbances arising from variations in vehicle travel
times for carpooling. However it doesn’t deal with the unmet demand with uncertain demand of the
vehicle for car pooling. To deal with this the proposed system uses Chance constrained
formulation/Programming (CCP) approach of the problem with stochastic demand and travel time
parameters, under mild assumptions on the distribution of stochastic parameters; and relates it with a
robust optimization approach. Since real problem sizes can be large, it could be difficult to find
optimal solutions within a reasonable period of time. Therefore solution algorithm using tabu
heuristic solution approach is developed to solve the model. Therefore, we constructed a stochastic
carpooling model that considers the in- fluence of stochastic travel times. The model is formulated as
an integer multiple commodity network flow problem. Since real problem sizes can be large, it could
be difficult to find optimal solutions within a reasonable period of time.

Description:-
In recent times, the scientific community has been collecting substantial data from various experiments and analyses to extract relevant information from it. This information, primarily obtained from diverse outlets, multidimensional and unstructured in design, refers to Big Data. At present, it has played a pivotal role in areas of research like IOT which includes sub-areas like Smart Grids, Hybrid Vehicles, Electric Vehicles, etc. However, the major challenge faced by Big Data today is to handle the vast volume of data of a wide variety; possessing a high data transmission rate; produced by devices, automobiles, establishments, power grids, and many other things connected to the Internet. Of the areas related to IoT, smart grid and electric vehicles also come across the challenge of handling large and varied datasets, as they produce and consume Big Data, by producing databases for the same entity, creating copies of the same, and passing it along to the other systems. Henceforth, there is an incredible need to look at the created information to reveal data like concealed models, obscure connections, advertise patterns, and client inclinations that can empower associations (Govt. or on the other hand Private) to settle on educated choices. The study and systematic retrieval of this information is a Herculean task as performed by conventional application software for processing data. Thus, Big Data Analytics is a necessity for EVs. The current analysis paper discusses the applications of big data and its methods in harnessing the data produced from EVs, drivers, charging stations, and infrastructures. In electric vehicles, we can get data from various sources like sensors and travel records. We would then use big data techniques to analyze this data. The analyzed data is used to plan ideas and policies for positioning of charging stations, smarter charging mechanisms, addressing energy management problems, and assessing the ability of power delivery networks to accommodate additional loads. Meanwhile, we would also look at the market cost of the services provided by EVs (i.e. V2G opportunities). This paper will primarily focus on big data analytics strategies for EV Charging Stations.

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
