This document presents a smart irrigation system that uses soil moisture sensors and a microcontroller to automate watering. The system monitors soil moisture levels using a hygrometer sensor connected to an Arduino Uno microcontroller. When the soil moisture drops below a threshold, the Arduino triggers a water pump. A Raspberry Pi records sensor readings over time in a CSV file. This file is uploaded to the cloud, allowing remote monitoring of soil moisture levels and plant conditions. The automated system aims to improve water and energy efficiency in irrigation while ensuring healthy plant growth without constant human presence.
