This document describes an IoT-based system to detect alcohol and smoking in public transportation vehicles and enhance safety. The system uses alcohol and smoke sensors connected to a microcontroller that transmits detection information to a central monitoring unit via an IoT network. It also includes a panic button for women's safety. When the sensors detect alcohol or smoke, a warning light and buzzer are triggered. An accompanying mobile app allows users, transport authorities, and police to monitor detection alerts and vehicle locations in real-time. The goal is to reduce drunk driving accidents and improve safety on public transportation.
