The document discusses research into improving the properties of concrete by adding steel fibers and silica fume as partial replacements for cement. The researchers conducted experiments on concrete mixes with varying percentages of silica fume from 0-20% and steel fibers from 0-3.4% to study the impact on compressive and flexural strength. Their results showed that mixes with silica fume and steel fibers exhibited enhanced performance compared to normal concrete or those with conventional additives alone. Specifically, the addition of silica fume and steel fibers together led to higher compressive and tensile strengths than mixes with only silica fume. The aim of the research was to develop stronger and more durable concrete using sustainable materials.

and to study the coating provided to the reinforcement. To accelerate the corrosion for a short term process of impressed current
is induced. In this project it is aimed to study the effect of coating given to the reinforcement and effect of adding fibre in the
concrete.

Study of some Mechanical Properties of Galvanized 4140 SteelsIJAEMSJORNAL
The effect of three different galvanizing processes on the microstructure and tensile behavior and hardness of galvanized AISI 4140 steels was investigated. The thicknesses of the galvanized layers were measured as 34 μm, 90 μm and 140 μm for the electro galvanized, zinc-rich coated and hot dip galvanized AISI 4140 steels, respectively. No significant increase in tensile strength was observed with the galvanizing process. It was even observed that there was a decrease in tensile strength compared to the samples that were not galvanized. It is concluded that galvanizing processes is not effective in improving the tensile performance of AISI 4140 steels.

In the present study COPPER SLAG which is a byproduct obtained during production of copper by smelting is used as a replacement of F.A. And also to increase the mechanical properties of concrete different types of fibers are added to the concrete mix. The HOOKED END STEEL FIBRES are added to the concrete to improve the mechanical properties. As several researchers has introduced Steel fiber reinforced concrete SFRC for its inherent superiority over normal plain and reinforced concrete for its higher flexural strength, better tensile strength and modulus of rupture, better ductility and fatigue resistance, crack resistance. This comparative study is carried out on strength properties between SFRC and conventional concrete due to replacement of F.A with copper slag. The installation of Helical Confinement in the Compression Zone of reinforced High Strength Concrete beams is also investigated in this study. Helical Confinement is more effective than the rectangular ties, Compression Longitudinal reinforcement and steel fibers in increasing the strength and ductility of Confined Concrete. A total number of 3 Specimens were casted. The Pitch distance for helical confinement of two specimens is 50mm, 60mm and the Pitch distance for normal confinement is 50mm. The Specimen is of a size of 600mm X 300mm X 300mm. It contains of 8 mm dia bar as longitudinal reinforcement and 6mm dia bar as transverse reinforcement. M 40 and Fe 500 Grade steels were used. After 28 Days of Curing. The Specimens were taken out and allowed to dry and tested under universal testing machine of capacity 1000 KN. The Effect of Yield strength ductility, were studied from Stress – Strain and Load – Displacement Curves. This Study Concluded the Helical Reinforcement is an effective method for increasing the Strength and Ductility of Reinforcement High Strength Concrete Beam.

Corrosion Measursement, Friction testing and XRD Analysis of Single Layer CrN...IJAEMSJORNAL
The purpose of present study was to investigate the erosive corrosive wear behavior of single layer (CrN) coatings on AISI 304 Stainless Steel samples with varying coating thickness (0-200 nm) in the range of 50 nm. The slurry jet erosive test was conducted on Slurry Jet Erosion Tester in saline slurry (3.5wt% salt) under the different working conditions with varying impact velocity (10-25 m/s), impingement angle (30°-75°) and erodent discharge (160-280 gm/min). Corrosion tests were conducted in 3.5 wt. % NaCl solution using a Potentiostat, in order to analyze the corrosion behavior of the coated samples in sea water environment. Coefficient of friction was measured using a Scratch Tester. XRD analysis of the eroded samples indicated the presence of both CrN and Cr2N (200) in the coatings.
The main objective of this project is to be produce copper reinforced metal matrix composite (MMC) layers using micron sized AlN particles via friction stir processing (FSP) in order to enhance surface mechanical properties. Micro structural evaluation using Optical Microscopy (OM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) indicated that an increase in traverse speed and a decrease in rotational speed cause a reduction in the grain size of different groove width (0,0.4,0.8,1.2 mm) of stir zone (SZ) for the specimens friction stir processed (FSPed) without AlN particles. It was found that upon addition of AlN particles, wear properties were improved. This behavior was further supported by SEM images of wear surfaces. Results demonstrated that the micro composite produced by FSP exhibited enhanced wear resistance and higher average friction coefficient in comparison with pure copper. Tensile properties and fracture characteristics of the specimens FSPed with and without AlN particles and pure copper were also evaluated. According to the results, the MMC layer produced by FSP showed higher strength and lower elongation than pure copper while a remarkable elongation was observed for FSPed specimen without AlN particles and been greatly developed by the use of AlN.
Characterization of Al/WC/Fly ash Metal Matrix Compositesijtsrd
Metal matrix composites are formed by combination of two or more materials (at least one of the materials is metal) having dissimilar characteristics. In this present investigation, aluminium (Al 6061) as base matrix metal and tungsten carbide (WC) particulate, fly ash as reinforcements. Fabrication of MMCs was done by stir-casting process. The Tungsten Carbide particulate was added in proportions of 1%, 2%, and 3% and Fly ash was added in proportions of 2%, 4%, and 6% on mass fraction basis to the molten metal. The different combination sets of composites were prepared. Mechanical properties like tensile strength and hardness were studied for both reinforced and unreinforced Al 6061 samples. Microstructure examination was carried by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to obtain the distribution of tungsten carbide particulate and fly ash in base matrix. From the results, it was found that the tensile strength and the hardness of the prepared metal matrix composites increased with increase in tungsten carbide and fly ash content. The Scanning Electron Micrographs of the samples indicated uniform distribution of tungsten carbide and fly ash particles in the base matrix without voids before testing and with voids after testing. The corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete reduces the life of structures, causes high repair costs and can endanger the structural integrity of the structure itself. Glass fibre reinforced polymer GFRP offers a number of advantages over steel especially when used in marine and other salt laden environments. GFRP reinforcing bars are gradually finding wider acceptance as a replacement for conventional steel reinforcement as it offers a number of advantages. Technical studies on a number of concrete structures, from five to eight years old and constructed with GFRP reinforcement, have shown that there is no degradation of the GFRP from the alkaline environment. Concrete is very strong in compression but it is extremely weak in tension. To resist the tensile stress, steel reinforcement is provided in concrete. Reinforcement corrosion and structural deterioration in reinforced concrete structures are common, and prompted many researchers to seek alternative materials and rehabilitation techniques. One such material that has been offered as an alternative to mild steel reinforcement is Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer GFRP bars and flats. For the repair and strengthening of structural concrete members, strengthening with Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer GFRP plates is an excellent option. The present work is to study the behavior of Shear resistance of the silica coated GFRP stirrups in the shear test zone. A series of studies were conducted using silica coated GFRP stirrups in shear zone. It is observed that beams with silica coated GFRP flats shear reinforcement have shown failure at higher loads than the theoretical failure loads. Further it is observed that GFRP flats as shear reinforcement exhibit fairly good ductility. Er. material is developed by the using of stir casting method. A
AMMC’s composite are developed to fulfill the need of present
requirements. This composite material is prepared by the use
of 3 metals. These metals are iron (Fe), aluminum (Al) and
tungsten carbide (WC).Thus this composite come under metal
matrix composite. This composite is WC – FeAl composite.
This is prepared by the use of stir casting method. The base
metals are iron and aluminum. These are having equal
quantity by weight. In this the sample is prepared by the
change the of percentage reinforcement. This is varying from
0 to 3%. A test is conduct to check their tensile strength as
well as compressive strength. By these test it is confirm that
with the increase the percentage of reinforcement in the
composite their tensile strength is decrease but their
compressive strength is increase.
In recent years, continuous basalt fibers extruded from naturally fire-resistant basalt are attracted attention as a replacement for asbestos fibers. In the last decade, basalt has emerged as a contender in the fiber reinforcement of composites. Some manufacturer of basalts claims it offers performance similar to S-2 glass fibers at a price point between S-2 glass and E-glass, and may offer manufacturers a less-expensive alternative to carbon fiber. Basalt fibre (BF) is capable to withstand very high temperature and can act as fire blocking element.

requirements. This composite material is prepared by the use
of 3 metals. These metals are iron (Fe), aluminum (Al) and
tungsten carbide (WC).Thus this composite come under metal
matrix composite. This composite is WC – FeAl composite.
This is prepared by the use of stir casting method. The base
metals are iron and aluminum. These are having equal
quantity by weight. In this the sample is prepared by the
change the of percentage reinforcement. This is varying from
0 to 3%. A test is conduct to check their tensile strength as
well as compressive strength. By these test it is confirm that
with the increase the percentage of reinforcement in the
composite their tensile strength is decrease but their
compressive strength is increase.

Improvements in concrete properties have been achieved by the invention of High- Performance Concrete (HPC). The ductility of HPC can be improved by altering its composition through the addition of glass fibers in the design mix. This paper presents the details of an experimental investigation planned to utilize fly ash and silica fume in the production of Glass fibre reinforced high Performance Concrete. The investigation examines the progressive deterioration of concrete mixtures containing various combinations of fly ash and silica fume based Glass fibre reinforced High-Performance concrete mixes exposed to chloride solution. Acid attack tests have been conducted to measure the durability. Cubes of 100X100X100 mm have been cast, cured and then kept immersed in 5% concentrated solutions of HCl for 30 and 60days and then tested to record the residual compressive strengths produced with the fly ash and silica fume mineral admixtures. Fibres are generally mixed with concrete to enhance the resistance of cracking and strengthening of concrete. In this project, tests were carried out on steel fibre reinforced concrete to check the influence of fibres and silica fume on flexural strength of concrete. According to various research papers, it has been found that addition of steel fibres and silica fume enhances the strength of the concrete. In this project practical tests were carried out to find out optimum quantity of steel fibres required to achieve the maximum flexural strength for higher grades of concrete. Tests were also carried out on the concrete by placing the steel fibres in layers within the concrete at different depths.

INFLUENCE OF STEEL FIBERS AS ADMIX IN NORMAL CONCRETE MIXIAEME Publication
In recent days the usage of concrete has been increased all over the world. Hence it is important to study the mechanical properties of concrete on addition of mineral admixtures. Our main motive is to know the compression behavior of concrete when different types of mineral admixtures added to the concrete. The mineral admixture we are using in this study are steel fibres. In this study we are casting 6 cubes and 6 cylinders out of which 2 each for 7, 14, 28 days. The percentage addition by weight of concrete for mineral admixtures used are 2% and 4%. We are going to compare the results of compression strength and split tensile strength of concrete with normal concrete when admixtures are added to the concrete with different percentages. The experimental study on normal strength concrete grade for 2% and 4% cube were also prepared respectively

People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

The proposed project is developed to manage the automobile in the automobile dealer company. The main module in this project is login, automobile management, customer management, sales, complaints and reports. The first module is the login. The automobile showroom owner should login to the project for usage. The username and password are verified and if it is correct, next form opens. If the username and password are not correct, it shows the error message.
When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. On the other hand the stock of automobiles can be maintained perfectly by the automobile shop manager overcoming the drawbacks of existing system.
