This document discusses using compressed sensing to reduce the amount of data collected by biometric scanners. Compressed sensing aims to directly measure a signal in a way that collects only the essential data needed to reconstruct it, rather than first fully sampling and then compressing. The document proposes applying this to biometric scanners to reduce processing time, storage needs, and resources required. It presents a system using compressed sensing to initially store less fingerprint data in a database. Simulation results show the fingerprint can be accurately reconstructed from as few as 750 samples using compressed sensing, rather than the full 10,000 samples, demonstrating the efficiency of this approach.
RECOMMENDER SYSTEM FOR DETECTION OF DENGUE USING FUZZY LOGICIAEME Publication
The recommender System involved in health care is important since user can detect whether he has problem or not. A user will get whole information on the go. Today user doesn’t have much time and information about the dengue and it will be disclosed to the user at later stages. The dengue is deadly disease so its information should be disclosed at earlier stage. The proposed system works toward this aspect. The set of parameters including fever, TLC, blood pressure, severe headache etc. are analysed in proposed system. The filtering mechanism is also utilised in the proposed system which is integral part of recommender system. The content based filtering will be utilised in proposed system.
Our future battle field system will have more difficulties to maintain security, because of increasing military competitive. Ability to understand, predict and adopt the vast array of inter-networked things is very difficult. Unwanted fire, unauthorized human intervention and other object movement will play major important role for affecting military environment. This project aims to help our future military environment by introducing new technology LoRaWAN in IoT (Internet of Things). LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a state -of- art commercial of the self (COTS) technology. This project consist of sensors, embedded microcontrollers equipped with LoRaWAN, embedded processors equipped with LoRaWAN and cloud technology. By introducing this new technology in our future military environment we can easily find out criminal activities and fire hazards.

Internet of Things IoT conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects things through the Internet. When it comes to a house, this concept can be aptly incorporated to make it smarter, safer and automated. This project presents an approach to incorporate a two level biometric based security system in deploying Internet of Things IoT for smart home system, together with due consideration given to user convenience in operating the system using an android based application to monitor, control the electronic appliances in the house. The objective of the proposed system is to ensure that the access to enter the house and thereby render the services of certain automated electronic applications are only by the legitimate users, and not anyone else. By using biometrics it is possible to confirm or establish an individual's identity. Biometrics has the potential to make authentication dramatically faster, easier and more secure than traditional passwords. This project adds mainly four features security, safety, control and monitoring to home automation. This approach ensures to provide all the operations done smartly thus avoiding any manual interventions until necessary. This project differentiates itself from others as it provides a low cost effective, compact and reliable secured home control and monitoring system with the aid of biometric fingerprint authentication and biometric face recognition systems for access and to control the equipment and devices remotely using an application over a portable Android device. The proposed system is implemented on atmega328 based arduino microcontroller board. Face recognition is achieved using matlab. Dr. B. Kedarnath | M. Lalitha Priya | G. Anusha | K. Measurement push and pull forces on automatic liquid dispensers IJECEIAES
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, automated liquid dispensers have been increasingly developed to assist transmission prevention. However, data availability of automatic liquid dispenser mechanism's technical characteristics is not yet widely available. This causes frequent over or under design in its development. Therefore, we specifically measure push and pull forces engineering characteristics generated by the automatic liquid dispenser mechanism. A wire mechanism-based automatic liquid dispenser apparatus was used to experiment. A load-cell sensor was used to detect the force that occurs from a servo motor controlled by a microcontroller. The force data (push and pull) will be sent directly to the database server cloud with a recording frequency of every second. Three types of fluid treatment levels are used i.e. water, liquid soap, and hand sanitizer gel. Three types of fluid volume treatment levels used were 50 ml, 150 ml, and 250 ml. Each treatment level combination is carried out at the servo motors rotation steps 180°, 150°, 120°, 90°, 60°, and 30°. The results show that no significant differences were found in maximal forces required to release the water, liquid soap, and hand-sanitizer gel. It is also known that the volume of the fluid has a very significant effect on the amount of push and pull forces generated.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
