Steps Principles Into Account, Our Investment
Taking these guiding principles into account, our investment framework for Buy and Maintain is built
on the following five key rules: 1. Avoid using public benchmarks for beta management
2. Use asset liability management to guide asset allocation decisions 3. Focus on independent credit
analysis when building portfolios and buying securities
4. Ensure fundamental credit views drive sell decisions
5. Measure performance based on initial portfolio economics and credit migration
1. Avoid using public benchmarks for beta management Buy and Maintain strategies will perform
well, provided investors have exposure to the correct assets. However, many Buy and
Maintain portfolios do not have an optimal asset mix because insurers tend to focus on public
benchmark weightings when constructing portfolios. Public benchmarks have at least four major
disadvantages when it comes to constructing Buy and
Maintain portfolios:
Duration mismatch
A typical portfolio based on a public benchmark tends to hold duration within a narrow band closely
linked to the duration of the benchmark itself. This gives the fund manager very little flexibility to
manage the duration of a Buy and Maintain portfolio so that it matches an investor s individual cash
flow profile.
The duration mismatch between the benchmark and, in the case of the insurance investor, the
liabilities, can be a magnitude of 10 or more years (see Exhibit 2).
Concentration risk
Because public benchmarks tend to be market capitalization

Proposition 140
Initiatives like any other issues have two sides to it; we must assess both sides to get a better scope of
the issue. Contrary to the believe, propositions gave some benefits to the people of California as well
as the legislature. In 1911 the California legislature passed the initiative process and was later
approved through an election by Californians. By doing so Californians were given the right to
directly vote on constitutional amendments and statues. In California, the legislature is prohibited
from repealing or amending any statutory initiatives. The first initiative that had a beneficial effect on
the legislature is Proposition 1A, which professionalized the California legislature by increasing their
salary from $6,000 to $16,000 per ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We see that propositions have changed the function of the legislature by creating constraints and
mandating certain actions. The stipulations and mandate of Proposition 13 and 58 is problematic for it
makes it difficult for legislators to create policies or pass the budget. Proposition13 created a two
thirds majority rule, which made it difficult to pass any tax revenue. This is problematic especially
during an economic crisis for the legislature is not able to create new revenue sources when needed.
The two thirds rule imposed by Proposition 13 creates hostage taking in the legislature for it allows
the legislative minority to demand major concession for their vote. By doing so, the minority in the
chamber can stall the passage of policies or even the budget. We see that reform initiatives really
hinder the efficiency of the legislature; it creates unnecessary barriers for policymaking. Thus, it
impedes on the job of the legislature to create critical policies that address pressing

Be Own Products And Services
L.L. Bean: Own Products and Services L.L. Bean is a brand with strong roots in Maine, and their
products and services embody their love and appreciation of the great outdoors. Employees of the
company are likely to be active and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, which puts L.L. Bean in a great
position to use its own products and services to enhance the total compensation for its employees.
Bean maintained a philosophy that if the employees were passionate about the company and the
outdoors, then the customers would also be. Profit sharing with employees was a foundational belief
of Bean, and employees were greatly rewarded when the company performed and exceeded

Developing an HR department that was a strategic business unit, allowing it to strategically design a
measurable compensation and benefits program. The need for a multi channel marketing approach was
another subject identified during the strategic review, which allows customers multiple ways to
purchase products. Another internal strength is the portion of the compensation plan that encourages
employees to take advantage of the companies products through employee discounts and equipment
rental programs.
Weaknesses
Bean operated on premise that profits are an outcome of strong customer service, and was a byproduct
of such. The lack of corporate focus on targeting specific strategies to increase profits was a glaring
weakness. Their business model had never been challenged externally, and the company was still
operating with a focus on catalog sales instead of refocusing efforts on the growing wave of retail and
ecommerce. The company recognized they were in desperate need of employees who could process
data and bring the web presence up to par with other competitors in the outdoor lifestyle industry.
How the Company Responded From a total rewards perspective, the reorganization allowed the
company to develop ways to improve the satisfaction of its employees. Linking pay to performance
and other compensation incentives was an asset when recruiting talented technology professionals to
come in and build

Literary Analysis Of Dulce Et Decorum Est
In early history, Soldiers going off to fight in war seemed brave and fearless. It was always seen as an
honor to serve in your country s army. However, in Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen, through
the depictions of an actual battle, it is shown that those feelings are not actually present during war.
The genre of the poem is war. In fact is very much propaganda against war. After the events of World
War 1, Owen did not see the necessity of war in witnessing all the suffering it caused. The very title of
the poem Dulce et Decorum est can be translated as , It is sweet and proper to die for the fatherland. It
is now commonly referred to as the old lie because the saying is very old and commonly used but can
not really be seen as true. Though the title is titled as such, the meaning of the poem actually argues
against the phrase. In the poem, there is nothing fearless or glorious about the soldiers in the war. All
of the language that was in the poem has a very negative connotation. The words used like, beggars ,
lame , blind , deaf , clumsy, helpless ,and more show that the men are very discombobulated and are in
fact suffering. There is a lot of death and chaos occurring. The phrase is referred to as the old lie
because how can one see the horrors of war and still tell people and young children that it is honorable
and glorious to fight and die for one s country. At first glance. one would assume that Owen utilizes
Iambic Pentameter in his poem. However, there is no

Attention Deficit Disorder Essay
Attention Deficit Disorder Attention Deficit Disorder otherwise known as ADD is a condition that
refers to an individual s inability to control their own behavior or impulse(McEwan 70). This can
begin in early childhood and interfere with children s ability to do well in school and social situations.
These patients also have troubles blocking out noise or other stimuli in order to focus on a task or
what is being said. ADD is a chronic problem that can be seen as early as infancy and can extend to
adulthood. There are two types of Attention Deficit Disorder. The most common form is Attention
Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). The characteristic of this type is hyperactivity, which is seen
before the child enters ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also more prevalent with in boys than in girls. In babies that have been prenatal exposed to drugs,
including alcohol, cocaine, amphetamines, and heroin, ADD needs to be carefully watched for.
Increasing numbers of premature infants are found to have the disorder as well. A psychiatrist or
clinical or school psychologist usually makes a diagnosis. In order to do this, physicians,
psychologists and educators conduct an evaluation that includes a health and developmental history,
medical evaluation, psychological and educational assessment, behavior rating scales completed by
the parents and teacher, and possibly a speech and language evaluation (Miller 25). Hyperactivity is
the most obvious symptom. Children with this condition are unable to control their actions even under
the most closely monitored situation. Parents often expect that certain foods cause hyperactivity, but
children with ADD are hyperactive even though these foods are not part of their diets. Other primary
symptoms include inattention, distractibility, impulsiveness and short attention span. There are
problems with organization and transitioning from one activity to another. The disorder can be
complicated by other kinds of learning and/or behavioral problems as well. Thought patterns may be
loose and poorly organized. Children have difficulty with memory, following directions and

Public Policy Analysis Model
1. Public policy is a set of laws that are enacted to reach a specific goal. These goals are genuinely
made to be for the interest of the greater good, and the majority of people. For example, the policy for
red light cameras in Rochester was enacted to help reduce the accident rates from people running red
lights. Even though this causes people to pay fees for getting caught by the cameras, the greater good
is helped because there are less traffic accidents. Public policy helps steer the country in the ways that
our great minds think would be the best direction for the majority.
a. Discussed in class were 6 models of policy making. The first is the institutional model, it stresses
the opportunities and constraints on policy that are a part of the very structure of the American
constitutional order. The second is the Elite model, it focuses on influence on policy by powerful
individuals or groups. The third is the pluralist model, it stresses ... Show more content on

Policy analysis is different from academic research as academic research is done through conducting
studies on samples that are usually from a much small grouped that policy analysts use. Academic
researchers usually do not have access to the same resources that government employees will have
available. However, they could generally be used in a similar manner, just on a smaller scale.
Journalism however is much different than policy analysis. Journalist while able to find credible
sources, it is harder for them to substantiate their claims. Journalist usually conduct their research
through interviews rather than sample testing which is considered not as reliable.
2. I do not favor an increase in minimum wage. I believe that minimum wages are not the root cause
for individuals who have a difficult time having the necessities required to survive. If companies has
to pay more to employ workers, then they will add these costs to their production costs, and then
simply increase the costs of the products or services

Gene Encoding Of Six Traits From The Pure Bred Garden Pea
The purpose of this lab was to focus on the gene encoding of six traits from the pure bred garden pea
(Pisum sativum). The six traits observed were Seed color, Seed texture, Tendrils, Leaflets, Stipules,
and Height. The purpose of each experiment was to analyze morphological traits and then Finding the
statistical analysis by using the chi squared test. The chi squared test is when we collected the data of
the garden pea and compared it to see if the variation in the data was due to chance or to a variable
that was actually tested. This test helps us determine if our data is significant or non significant. In this
lab the plant being used was the common garden pea (Pisum sativum), the first thing done was to scan
the phenotypes of each parental and first generation offspring; which was homozygous dominant (
P1), homozygous recessive (P2) for parental types, and heterozygous (F1) for first generation
offspring. Next step is to indicate the F2 sample by using a + for dominant and for recessive
phenotype. This was done by making a chi chart that expressed all the phenotype characteristics for
Parental traits to 60 generations of offspring traits. Afterward data was combined with class data to
determine the statistical analysis for all the samples. In addition to analyzing the morphological traits,
statistical data was determined by determining the expected number of plants for seed color, Seed
texture, Stipules, leaflets, Height, and Tendrils. That was calculated by

Native American Conflicts
On the summer days of June 25 26, 1876 the Battle of the Little Bighorn took place in the
southeastern area of the Montana territory. The battlefield is very close to the Little Bighorn River
itself, in what is now present day Big Horn County, Montana. The adversaries in this battle were the
U.S. Army s 7th Cavalry, commanded by General George A. Custer against the Indian tribes of the
Northern Cheyenne, Lakota Sioux, and Arapaho under the leadership of Sitting Bull. Several years
after the Civil War had ended, the U.S. army began to focus it s attention to arising conflicts with
Indian tribes in the plains regions. These conflicts were the result of settlers beginning to migrate
further out west, mainly in search of more land and gold. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Frederick Chiaventone s book, A Road We Do Not Know, Bloody Knife says to Custer, I shall not
see you go down behind the mountains tonight. Good hunting to you, old friend. You and I are both
going home tonight by a road we do not know. Later on the morning of June 25, 1867 Custer had
gotten wind that the opposing Indians had spotted him and that he had potentially lost the element of
surprise. He was concerned that the indians would pack up and get away if he waited any longer.
Rapidly, he gathered his forces and began his approach to the village to attack in the broad daylight.
He did this without being able to see the village yet due to their concealment in the mountains. At this
time, General George A. Custer s 7th Cavalry force was comprised of three battalions with four
companies, totaling 647 Cavalry troopers. Each battalion had their own commander: Custer himself,
Major Marcus Reno, and Captain Frederick Benteen. All of these leaders had served in the Civil War
and were known for being superior commanders in the field with impressive victories. Captain
Benteen was the only one out of his counterparts to not attend West Point. Their troops were also
mostly combat veterans. Many served in the Civil War and had been fighting in the Sioux Wars for a
while. The troops were in good spirits, because they knew that there was a chance of fighting soon.
But, at the same time, they were tired from their long trek.

Queene Quotes In Queenie
Queenie
Nelson Mandela once said, No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or
his background, or his religion. Instead, it is the surrounding environment and its people that teach
prejudice and discrimination. An example of the transmission of xenophobia from parents to an
impressionable child appears in the text, Queenie .
Queenie is a prologue to the novel, Small Island by Andrea Levy from 2004. The story takes places in
England shortly after World War I. The storyline follows a girl, Queenie, attending the Empire
Exhibition with her parents and two employees. She is the protagonist of the story, and the story is

This shows that when the mother faces something unknown she immediately pre sumes the worst

Graham and Emily, the family s employees, are accompanying the family at the exhibition. They are

that LCR has displayed. With consumers making more advances toward environmentally friendly

For example, corn ethanol needs to be blended with gasoline to work. Diesel fuel in the past cost less
than gasoline. However, it now costs approximately the same or even more. Although diesel fuel is
considered more efficient because it converts heat into energy rather than sending the heat out of the
tailpipe as gas powered vehicle do, it does not result in high speed performance. Diesel engines are
like a work horse while gasoline engines are like race horses. Diesel engines require a lot of
maintenance, if the engine is not serviced, the injectors will break down. Diesel maintenance can be
expensive. In conclusion, vehicles that run on alternative fuels, as of 2010, are not yet common. If a
biodiesel or electrically powered vehicle is desired, a careful search for a special model is necessary.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, (1) vehicles using ethanol need a special adaptor or need
to be flexible fuel vehicles, which means they run on a combination of gasoline and ethanol.
Availability of alternate fuel vehicles When considering the availability of alternative fuel vehicles,
the type of fuel source must be decided. There are a variety of options such as, electric, ethanol,
biodiesel, propane, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles. The options for electric vehicles are expanding
quickly as many auto makers have produced new models to include Chevrolet Volt, Toyota Prius, Ford

The Cultural Icon Of The 20th Century Essay
Amber Gentile 12 December 2016 Period 2 Albert Einstein The Cultural Icon from the 20th Century
Albert Einstein once said I want to know God s thoughts, the rest are details . Einstein wanted an
equation that would encapsulate all physical laws. To put the beauty and the power of the universe into
a single equation was his life s goal. Although Einstein s name is now synonymous with genius, his
professors would have never predicted him to be this successful as he would always cut class, and he
could not get a single job after graduating. Einstein thought he was such loser that he wrote a letter to
his family saying perhaps it would be better if he was never born. His father had to apply on behalf of
Einstein for academic positions, but they all said there were no positions available. His father passed
away thinking that Einstein was a total disgrace to the family. In 1902 Einstein moved to Switzerland,
and began a career far from science. One of his friends got him a job to be a patent clerk in the Swiss
patent office. He spent six days a week reviewing applications submitted by inventors to the Swiss
government. He had to analyze the patents and strip them to their essence, which honed his skills as a
physicist. Since it was not intellectually demanding it would give him ample time to contemplate the
universe. Einstein s daydreams would change the way the universe was understood. In 1905 in what
has been called his miracle year, he publishes in his spare time four

The Theme Of The Devil In The White City
Michael Memis Period: 6 The Devil In The White City, by Erik Larson, mainly revolves around the
stories of two people, Daniel Hudson Burnham and H.H. Holmes during the Columbian Exposition in
1893. Due to the time period of the book falling in between the end of an era and the beginning of an
era, it is argued as to whether it is the end of the Industrial/Gilded Age or the beginning of the
Progressive Era. The Industrial/Gilded Age was a time of unrestricted growth of the businesses and
the upper class at the expense of others due to laissez faire policies of the government. The
Progressive Era was about the United States fixing the wrongs of the previous era through a
progressive movement. During this time the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One such service was the Pinkerton Detective Agency. Holmes talks about how the police were too
incompetent to catch him and though he was worried about the Pinkerton Detective agency, they
seemed too busy stopping strikes to catch him. One of the strikes that the Pinkerton Detective agency
was most famous for stopping was the Homestead Strike. These strikes wouldn t be successful until
the next time period when the government starting listening to both the workers and the employers.
The Pinkerton Detective Agency is also important in the book because one of their detectives, Frank
Geyer, arrests Holmes for fraud for faking the death of Benjamin Pietzel. It ends up being revealed
that Holmes in fact did kill Pietzel as well as many others. He was eventually executed (by hanging).
Another important service was the Colonel William Cody s (aka Buffalo Bill) Wild West show. This
was a very popular form of entertainment at the time for urban audiences. Buffalo Bill wanted his
show to be part of the Columbian Exposition but the fair s Committee on Ways and Means said no. He
then got land close to the exposition and had his show there where it was very successful. The
Committee would come to regret not having the Wild West show as part of their Exposition, especially

Pizza Delivery Quick
The Pizza Delivery Quick (PDQ) Industry service in America is considered to be a very successful
market in the quick service restaurant industry. Although the industry success is very appealing,
managing the day to day operations needs significant planning and a clear tactics to create, implement,
execute and have successful results. However, the PDQ last report sales are on the level of 30%,
which places the company in a serious difficult position to continue operating competitively.
The PDQ project will take a detail process that will help launch the appropriate software technology
along with existing processes in order to implement new cutting edge innovations. Although
technology is not the only leverage for improving project management, modern technology is an
important element (Kendall Austin, 2013). Today, businesses depend on technology to produce more
in less time and with minimal resources making modern technology a critical component to a
successful business. In today s high tech world, it is important to develop and execute effective project
management strategies that will place the company at a competitive level. Companies must continue
to work on projects that will drive their business to innovate and change for the better (Shenhar Dvir,
2997).

The United States Involvement During The Civil War
In the year of 1898, Spain declared war on the United States. The U.S. prime objective was for the
true Cuban independence. In pursuing such goal, the string of conflicts began with the inhumane
treatment of Cuban civilians in concentration camps by the Spanish, yellow journalism, and the
sinking of the U.S.S. Maine. The United States involvement in the war was a combination of all of
these factors; however, the most influential factor was the sinking of the U.S.S. Maine. The outrage of
American citizens advanced throughout the country. Ultimately, the firm perception of a deliberate
attack on the Maine pressured the United States into the war. Without a clear rationale, the American
public compelled the United States to avenge the Maine. After a short four month war, United States
won the war and emerged as a dominant force in the world.
The Spanish American war centers around many contributing elements. The first of these events was
the reconcentration policy. General Weyler was put in charge to stop Cuban rebels from expanding.
Such policy was intended to protect the noncombatant peasantry of the island, but his sole object was
to compel them to put themselves wholly in the power of the Spanish officials (White). The policy
forced all rural district civilians to move into cities and towns that were still under Weyler s control.
Moreover, Weyler concluded that this would prevent civilians from assisting rebels with information
or food. He enforced the concentration

My Experiences As A Writer
As a writer, I would say that I m a very personalized writer. I like to put a lot of my emotions,
experiences, and opinions into what I write. I do my best to find something to appreciate in everything
I read. For starters, I will begin with my strengths. Whenever, I write, I plan what I m going to write
before jotting words down. This method is very effective when writing essays. With writing, I m very
detailed and I get straight to the point. I want to get my readers and audience absorbed quickly. Also, I
have plenty of weakness. Manytimes, I wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my
thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. Another point

Leadership Reflection
Introduction If you ask anyone about the importance of leadership, you will undoubtedly hear about
how important of a task it is. Ask that person what leadership is and you will hear as many answers as
the amount of people you ask. In all honesty, there is surely a decent amount of subjectivity that goes
into it, but there are certain things that are non negotiables in leadership. I have read my fair share of
leadership books whether for class or for leisure. I could always pull certain things that I liked or
believed would be helpful as I am being shaped into the leader that I one day hope to be. However,
this book was different.
In other leadership books I ve read, it is hard to take some of the authors seriously. Not because the
things that they were writing were bad, but I didn t know about their credentials. It s very possible to
write about a topic without having any experience with what is being written about. Likewise,
someone can write a lot of seemingly great things about leadership, but if they aren t a leader then I
would take it with a grain of salt. One of the comforts I had while reading this book is knowing that I
did not have to worry about that with Al Mohler. When he writes about leadership, I can know with
certainty that he has walked the walk. The roots of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary are
rich, but it had gone very far downhill. I was told by one professor that for a stretch in the latter part of
the twentieth century, if you were serious

Theme Of Honor In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold
IB English A: Literature HL
Written Assignment
Word Count: 1,277 An Investigation into Honor in Chronicle of a Death Foretold
According to Epic World History, Latin American men consider honor both a prized personal
possession and a crucially important expression of one s public self ( Epic World History ). To lose
one s honor was to become low and tarnished in society s eyes. Chronicle of a Death Foretold tells a
story of horrific murder driven by the loss of honor through a journalistic view. In the novella,
Chronicle of a Death Foretold, through the actions and thoughts of the Vicario brothers and
townspeople, Gabriel García Marquez highlights the absurdity of the code of honor and critiques the
flaws in Latin American society.
With the defensive actions of the Vicario brothers, Marquez scrutinizes how Latin American society
uses the code of honor as a justification for vengeful acts. Following the crime, the Vicario brothers
speak on trial, defending their innocence: It was a matter of honour (29). Marquez uses the self
justifying tone of the phrase matter of honor to criticize that within Latin American society, people do
not falter to commit such heinous crimes, and perceive such acts as ways to regain honor. The Vicario
brother s justification of homicide therefore reflects the society s twisted perception of honor. The
Vicario s brother s self reassurance is also conveyed through the numerous times they announced, We
are going to kill Santiago Nasar

Charles Darwin Was Not the First to Develop a Theory of...
From his theories that he claimed were developed during his voyage, Darwin eventually wrote his
Origin of Species and Descent of Man, which exploded into the world market over twenty years after
his return home.
Wallace, King and Sanders wrote in Biosphere, The Realm of Life: In 1859, Charles Darwin published
a theory of evolution that implied that humans evolved from apes. . .The Darwinian revolution was the
greatest paradigm shift in the history of biology, and it greatly changed the way that ordinary men and
women viewed their own place in the world. (1)

For this reason, the origins of the Earth, the heavens, the seas, plants and animals, and men and
women were wrapped in unquestioned dogmas, some of which hold true today. It is only
comparatively recently, in societies and civilizations possessed of scientific knowledge and methods
of investigation, that such dogmas have come under question.
Contrary to this opinion though, we find in fact that evolutionary thought is itself a rather old idea.
The editors of Biology Today would agree:
Much has been written on whether or not the Darwinian theory was original. Inevitably, historians
have concluded that there was little novelty in what Darwin and Wallace were saying. Down through
the centuries, from ancient Greek times on, various writers have suggested that new species can arise
through the modification of old and that among all the possible organic types, the world contains only
those that can survive the struggle for life. (8)
This is indeed interesting, that the concept that Darwin is given so much credit for was not even a very
modern idea in his own day.
We find that Anaximander of Miletus (611 B.C. 546 B.C.) advanced the traditional evolutionary idea,
already quite common in his day, that life first evolved from a type of pre biotic soup, helped along a
bit by the rays of the sun. He believed that the first animals developed from sea slime which had been
evaporated by the suns rays. He also

The Boston University Archaeology Department Essay
On May 9th, 2016, the Boston University Archaeology Department held a public outreach event
called, Eating Archaeology , where guests were served foods from four different time periods and
places: Bronze age Mycenae, Bronze age China, Pre Columbian Mesoamerica, specifically the Aztecs,
and mid 19th century Boston. The creation of these dishes was made possible through analyzing
archaeological sites through the lens of the newly popularized sub field, archaeology of the senses,
which studies how the materiality of the world contributes to and is influenced by how humans use
their senses (Hamilakis 4). Through analyzing the bodily senses, archaeologists can create a more
detailed interpretation of the experiences of ancient humans (Hamilakis i). This new interest in the
sensory aspect of human culture brings a fascination with the types of foods that people consumed in
the past. With this in mind, a group of graduate students in the fields of archaeology, food history, and
gastronomy, at Boston University, collaborated to test if material remains can be used to recreate
ancient recipes. Through eating these foods, one can glimpse a part of the culture that ate the dish,
illustrating the power of taste, and demonstrating that archaeology can be used to create something
tangible for the public. This paper will focus on the research process for the mid 19th century brothel
site, located in Boston, and how the materials gathered during excavation were used to reconstruct the

one has warned them. These reporters are often called the fourth branch of government (Gabbs)
because of their actions. The media is responsible for conveying opinions through their reports, which
does not allow the individual to analyze a situation to form their own opinions; therefore they are
detrimental to the American society. Many news sources include their opinions through a simple
technique of fabricating stories. Most news ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, the media was also capable of changing the attention from the people to the plane.
People mainly talk about the plane instead of the missing family members, which were not given
much respect through the media. Since the media creates opinions, they need a side to stick with. That
is how the terms conservatives and liberals came to be. People consider conservatives to be
Republicans and liberals to be Democrats. News sources like the New York Times and MSNBC are
liberal, while Fox News and the National Review are conservative. Liberals tend to believe in gay
rights, for abortion, no guns, and centralising the government; although, conservatives like the ideas
opposing the liberals. Liberals and Conservatives also have another name: Liberals are called Left
Wing and Conservatives are Right Wing . Those are just some other names used to describe the two
sides because people have a difficult time remembering who supports what. The majority of people
are more apt to have all or half the qualities of the two sides. Physiologically, the human brain likes to
hear what it agrees with. If a news source appeals to the person once(keeping in mind that
Rama 3 news sources express only one view), they are more than likely to only watch that news
source or come back to it every so often. When a news source disagrees with a person they are not
inclined to watch that news source whenever

Correlation Between Hours And Depression
The results of this study did not support the hypothesis presented. However, there was a positive
correlation between hours spent and depression scores. There was no moderator effect within the
relationship of perceived social support and depression. Furthermore, some limitations played a part in
this study. First, the number of male participants in the study was low. Second, it is not generalizable
because this study was focused on psychiatric patients. Thirdly, recall bias may have affected the
subjective reporting of SNS use. Lastly, technology and social media is forever changing. Future
research on this topic can gravitate towards the growing field of technology and the early onset of
depression in individuals as young as 18. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the differences were not significant, t (98) = .61, p = .541. The Apple group in the second
hypothesis (M= 724.11, SD= 959.64) scored higher on which owners sent more messages than the
Android group (M= 514.70, SD= 624.52). However the differences were not significant according to
the t test, t= (81)= .914, p=.364. To test the hypothesis that self consciousness is directly related to the
number of text messages sent and that number of minutes used is directly related to depression.
Bivariate correlations using Pearson s r coefficient were calculated. The correlation between the
number of text messages sent and self consciousness was not significant, r (83) = .10, p = .180. The
correlation between the number of minutes used and depression was not significant, r (94)= .003, p=
.490. Discussion It was hypothesized that social networking use among college students who owned
an Apple phone are more self conscious than Android phone owners. The hypothesis was supported
that Apple owners did score higher on the self consciousness scale than Android owners. Although, a t
test deemed the results not significant. It was hypothesized that Apple owners sent more messages
than Android owners. The results came out as Apple owners did in fact send more messages than the
opposing owners. Although, a t test deemed the results not

Comparative Analysis Of The Attention Getter And The...
Comparative Analysis of The Attention Getter and The Denouement: In the movie The Incredibles, the
director Brad Bird had the beginning of the film start with interviews of the heroes to subvert viewer
expectations and have the audience focus on the people behind the masks. After interview scene, an
action police chase takes place so that the audience would be on the edge of their seats interested to
watch the film. The attention getter draws the audience in as they can easily understand the heroes
personalities before the action takes place. The police chase is fast paced and there are lots of fast
camera movements occurring. As well, in the attention getter Mr. Incredible is trying to multitask and
time is ticking which leaves the audience with curiosity to see what will happen. It s easy to observe
that Mr. Incredible works alone and seems extremely excited to fight crime as every time he gets a
crime in progress notification he looks at his watch and states, I ve got time. And speeds to the next
crime scene. When the denouement is occurring Dash and Violet have both received what they
wanted, Dash got to do track and show off a small portion of his running and Violet is now confident
in herself and not timid. This allows the viewers to witness the transformation the two kids have gone
through. The next scene we see is an action shot of a new villain emerging from the ground causing
conflict and right away the whole family has their masks on and are ready to fight.

Taking a Look at Zombie Ants
The stereotypical Zombie Ant , most typically found in a rain forest and or farm climate, are not the
flesh tearing type of zombie you most likely had in mind, instead, fungal spreading mind controlled
ants, taken over by a fungal parasite. And these ants, are far from usual. There is a cycling, almost
endless process, repeated in three stages. The process and fungus is called Ophiocordyceps
Unilateralis. During the first faze, the fungal parasite picked up by the target ant, enters the ant s brain,
by latching on to the skin, literally tearing its way through its cuticle, and separating all inside muscle
tissue. The fungus is picked up from the forest floor, in particles dropped by another infected ant. This
powerful overtaking fungus is known as. After the fungus has entered the body, it starts to travel up
into the head of the infected ant.
After the parasite has entered the brain, the zombification stage of the fungus inside the ant causes the
fungus to grow in the head and take over the mind, where the ant now goes through an uncontrollable,
helpless faze, where the fungus is present in the head, and now in charge of the ant s mind. In full
control of the ant s body, the fungus can now direct the ant away from it s natural daily routine, and
cause it to roam around the forest hoplessly. The reason being for the fungus to target and take over
these ants in the first place is to create a sort of mass production of the fungul parasitic ants, taking
over the forest,

encouraged to be a feminist, author, educator and literary critic by her parents, especially her mother
who is addicted to literature. She believes that her mother s love of literature is one of the things that
drew her to literature with a female point of view. When Russ began writing, she was five years old.
Over the following years she had countless notebooks with stories, comics, poems and illustrations.
Russ was selected as one of the top ten Westinghouse Science Talent Search Winners as a senior in

Inequality for all
People of color have been the targets of bigotry, racial discrimination, and oppression since the arrival
of the early European settlers. This is evident in the mass extermination of the Native Americans and
in the kidnapping and enslavement of African s in the 1600 s. Although slavery was abolished over
100 years ago the traumatic effects of this injustice is present in today s society. The forefathers of
America built this nation with the hands of black people and despite their contribution to this country
they continue to be marginalized. Even though black people have made many strides this long
standing history of oppression has persevered throughout the generations. The deep rooted contention
of inequality and injustice has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Nature of Oppression Slave owners used various methods to maintain the order and productivity
of their slaves. In order to maintain control and prevent rebellion slave owners instilled dependence,
fear, ignorance and indoctrination. The Virginia slave codes allowed slave owners to subject slaves to
harsh physical punishment in to break them. If death occurred as a result of punishing such slave, the
slave owner went without reprimand. Slave owners enforced oppression by using their tyrannical
power designated by government. Slave owners had total control of their slaves. Slaves were
dependent on their masters for basic needs: food, shelter and clothing. Slave owners injected
inferiority into the minds of slaves by using skin color as a means to suggest God s design was to have
whites rule them. Slave owners did not allow slaves to participate in any activities that would make
them skillful or knowledgeable, as this would promote independence. In light of modern racial
oppression, these concepts are present in American social policy. Hidden fascism is most appropriate
to describe the ingrained bigoted policies used to control society and advance white elitist. Racial
oppression is evident in the many disparities minorities and poor people face. African Americans have
the highest rates of dropouts, incarceration, poverty, single parent households, teen pregnancies and
unemployment. This cannot be mere coincidence or the innate

The new Boob tube
People have become so reliant on technology and just in the last couple of years on ipads and Tablets.
These devices have changed a lot of ways that we function; for example, we generally would use a
laptop to do many of the functions that are now executed by the tablets. People have become reliant
upon the convenience and simplicity. These products are sold at nearly every retail store across the
United States, making it a breeze to get one. Therefore, making them as popular, if not more as the
T.V.; with that being said, there are many positives and a few negatives to these products. The use of
tablets (ipads, etc.) has increased greatly in the last couple of years also due to affordability.

Allowing, for major competition in merchandise and cost, just about every company wants to be the
best price and have the best product to offer. This is a blessing to many families and companies,
especially during our hard economic times when money is often scarce.
The conveniences of these devices are second to none. They are lightweight and easy to operate
children and adults alike can handle them with ease. The Tablets and ipads are perfect travel
companions, because they can simply slip into any bag without consuming much space. Due to their
light nature, they can be easily hand held for an extended duration of time. Making it that much more
convenient, and they can be used while standing, as well, unlike a laptop. Their compact design allows
for effortless transportation.
On the other hand, I think that by using tablets, it lessens interactions with others. Children generally,
will play on their tablets instead of going outside to play with siblings or neighbors, or reading books
with their parents. They as an alternative have their books on the tablet and view them that way. This
is very sad because it is slowly pushing out the interpersonal relationships that we often gain as
children. Also, generally most games on the tablet are single player games, making it almost worse
than video games, where children can play tandemly and have some interaction with one another.
Adults are more likely to use them for social media websites such as

Personal Note On Social Skills
I try very hard to teach my children that social skills are very important in the world. You have to be
able to communicate and speak your mind. Those who hide in the background and don t say anything
are the people that don t get very far in real life situations. My oldest daughter has this down to a
science in the fact that she deals with customers on a daily basis and has to be able to be people
friendly at her job. My second daughter is all bundled up and shy and won t speak out for the things
that she thinks is right. This causes me and her to have conflict on a daily basis, especially through the
things she deals with at school from the other students and teachers. My youngest daughter let me tell
you about her she is not shy to tell ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hopefully I have tried to keep the social skills to a professional level in the jobs that I have had. Social
skills are very important all around the world; if you don t have good social skills your
professionalism could take a big hit for the rest of your working days. This is very important with the
learning of the job, if you have bad posture, your arms are crossed, you re not looking at the person
talking to you, and these are not the social skills you want to put out there for everyone to see.
Principles of good social skills can take you to the top of the ladder. You could make better money and
have a better work environment. When social skills are learned they can be easily taught. If we had a
social skills class to take I would make the world take it, so we could be better communicators and
better listeners. This would make a big difference in the work place and the outside world. Would the
world be war free if we knew better social skills? I think it would be a better place to live and a safer
place for our kids to live. So why don t we all learn social skills, and make our world the place we
want to live in. Life is how you make it and if you have social skills then you can compete on any
level you want to compete on. Make social skills somewhat a priority in your everyday living so that
you are confident and know how to be polite and responsive to other people and their interest. Social
skills are like M M s they make the world go round and round.

Upon A Wasp Chilled With Cold Edward Taylor Analysis
Upon a Wasp Chilled with Cold, written by Edward Taylor, tells of a very interesting story in which a
wasp warms itself up in preparation for a journey. Edwards word choice is very vivid and one may
describe his diction as passionate. He seems to use rhyme and an array of poetic devices as a means to
convey his passion. As an orthodox Puritan he truly captures their mentality and desire for God. In the
poem Edward envisions himself as this little wasp basking in Gods warmth and divinity, he imparts
with his readers his desire to reach a state of clarity in which his misted sight would be unblemished
and ready to gaze upon God. Edward Taylor employs rhyming couplets in a majority of his stanza s in
an attempt to add emphasis and passion

  • 2. Steps Principles Into Account, Our Investment Taking these guiding principles into account, our investment framework for Buy and Maintain is built on the following five key rules: 1. Avoid using public benchmarks for beta management 2. Use asset liability management to guide asset allocation decisions 3. Focus on independent credit analysis when building portfolios and buying securities 4. Ensure fundamental credit views drive sell decisions 5. Measure performance based on initial portfolio economics and credit migration 1. Avoid using public benchmarks for beta management Buy and Maintain strategies will perform well, provided investors have exposure to the correct assets. However, many Buy and Maintain portfolios do not have an optimal asset mix because insurers tend to focus on public benchmark weightings when constructing portfolios. Public benchmarks have at least four major disadvantages when it comes to constructing Buy and Maintain portfolios: Duration mismatch A typical portfolio based on a public benchmark tends to hold duration within a narrow band closely linked to the duration of the benchmark itself. This gives the fund manager very little flexibility to manage the duration of a Buy and Maintain portfolio so that it matches an investor s individual cash flow profile. The duration mismatch between the benchmark and, in the case of the insurance investor, the liabilities, can be a magnitude of 10 or more years (see Exhibit 2). Concentration risk Because public benchmarks tend to be market capitalization ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Proposition 140 Initiatives like any other issues have two sides to it; we must assess both sides to get a better scope of the issue. Contrary to the believe, propositions gave some benefits to the people of California as well as the legislature. In 1911 the California legislature passed the initiative process and was later approved through an election by Californians. By doing so Californians were given the right to directly vote on constitutional amendments and statues. In California, the legislature is prohibited from repealing or amending any statutory initiatives. The first initiative that had a beneficial effect on the legislature is Proposition 1A, which professionalized the California legislature by increasing their salary from $6,000 to $16,000 per ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We see that propositions have changed the function of the legislature by creating constraints and mandating certain actions. The stipulations and mandate of Proposition 13 and 58 is problematic for it makes it difficult for legislators to create policies or pass the budget. Proposition13 created a two thirds majority rule, which made it difficult to pass any tax revenue. This is problematic especially during an economic crisis for the legislature is not able to create new revenue sources when needed. The two thirds rule imposed by Proposition 13 creates hostage taking in the legislature for it allows the legislative minority to demand major concession for their vote. By doing so, the minority in the chamber can stall the passage of policies or even the budget. We see that reform initiatives really hinder the efficiency of the legislature; it creates unnecessary barriers for policymaking. Thus, it impedes on the job of the legislature to create critical policies that address pressing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Literary Analysis Of Dulce Et Decorum Est In early history, Soldiers going off to fight in war seemed brave and fearless. It was always seen as an honor to serve in your country s army. However, in Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen, through the depictions of an actual battle, it is shown that those feelings are not actually present during war. The genre of the poem is war. In fact is very much propaganda against war. After the events of World War 1, Owen did not see the necessity of war in witnessing all the suffering it caused. The very title of the poem Dulce et Decorum est can be translated as , It is sweet and proper to die for the fatherland. It is now commonly referred to as the old lie because the saying is very old and commonly used but can not really be seen as true. Though the title is titled as such, the meaning of the poem actually argues against the phrase. In the poem, there is nothing fearless or glorious about the soldiers in the war. All of the language that was in the poem has a very negative connotation. The words used like, beggars , lame , blind , deaf , clumsy, helpless ,and more show that the men are very discombobulated and are in fact suffering. There is a lot of death and chaos occurring. The phrase is referred to as the old lie because how can one see the horrors of war and still tell people and young children that it is honorable and glorious to fight and die for one s country. At first glance. one would assume that Owen utilizes Iambic Pentameter in his poem. However, there is no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In order to do this, physicians, psychologists and educators conduct an evaluation that includes a health and developmental history, medical evaluation, psychological and educational assessment, behavior rating scales completed by the parents and teacher, and possibly a speech and language evaluation (Miller 25). Hyperactivity is the most obvious symptom. Children with this condition are unable to control their actions even under the most closely monitored situation. Parents often expect that certain foods cause hyperactivity, but children with ADD are hyperactive even though these foods are not part of their diets. Other primary symptoms include inattention, distractibility, impulsiveness and short attention span. There are problems with organization and transitioning from one activity to another. The disorder can be complicated by other kinds of learning and/or behavioral problems as well. Thought patterns may be loose and poorly organized. • 7. Public Policy Analysis Model 1. Public policy is a set of laws that are enacted to reach a specific goal. These goals are genuinely made to be for the interest of the greater good, and the majority of people. For example, the policy for red light cameras in Rochester was enacted to help reduce the accident rates from people running red lights. Even though this causes people to pay fees for getting caught by the cameras, the greater good is helped because there are less traffic accidents. Public policy helps steer the country in the ways that our great minds think would be the best direction for the majority. a. Discussed in class were 6 models of policy making. The six traits observed were Seed color, Seed texture, Tendrils, Leaflets, Stipules, and Height. The purpose of each experiment was to analyze morphological traits and then Finding the statistical analysis by using the chi squared test. The chi squared test is when we collected the data of the garden pea and compared it to see if the variation in the data was due to chance or to a variable that was actually tested. This test helps us determine if our data is significant or non significant. In this lab the plant being used was the common garden pea (Pisum sativum), the first thing done was to scan the phenotypes of each parental and first generation offspring; which was homozygous dominant ( P1), homozygous recessive (P2) for parental types, and heterozygous (F1) for first generation offspring. Next step is to indicate the F2 sample by using a + for dominant and for recessive phenotype. This was done by making a chi chart that expressed all the phenotype characteristics for Parental traits to 60 generations of offspring traits. Afterward data was combined with class data to determine the statistical analysis for all the samples. In addition to analyzing the morphological traits, statistical data was determined by determining the expected number of plants for seed color, Seed texture, Stipules, leaflets, Height, and Tendrils. Diesel engines are like a work horse while gasoline engines are like race horses. Diesel engines require a lot of maintenance, if the engine is not serviced, the injectors will break down. The Cultural Icon Of The 20th Century Essay Amber Gentile 12 December 2016 Period 2 Albert Einstein The Cultural Icon from the 20th Century Albert Einstein once said I want to know God s thoughts, the rest are details . Einstein wanted an equation that would encapsulate all physical laws. To put the beauty and the power of the universe into a single equation was his life s goal. Although Einstein s name is now synonymous with genius, his professors would have never predicted him to be this successful as he would always cut class, and he could not get a single job after graduating. Einstein thought he was such loser that he wrote a letter to his family saying perhaps it would be better if he was never born. His father had to apply on behalf of Einstein for academic positions, but they all said there were no positions available. His father passed away thinking that Einstein was a total disgrace to the family. In 1902 Einstein moved to Switzerland, and began a career far from science. One of his friends got him a job to be a patent clerk in the Swiss patent office. He spent six days a week reviewing applications submitted by inventors to the Swiss government. He had to analyze the patents and strip them to their essence, which honed his skills as a physicist. Since it was not intellectually demanding it would give him ample time to contemplate the universe. Einstein s daydreams would change the way the universe was understood. In pursuing such goal, the string of conflicts began with the inhumane treatment of Cuban civilians in concentration camps by the Spanish, yellow journalism, and the sinking of the U.S.S. Maine. The United States involvement in the war was a combination of all of these factors; however, the most influential factor was the sinking of the U.S.S. Maine. The outrage of American citizens advanced throughout the country. Ultimately, the firm perception of a deliberate attack on the Maine pressured the United States into the war. Without a clear rationale, the American public compelled the United States to avenge the Maine. After a short four month war, United States won the war and emerged as a dominant force in the world. The Spanish American war centers around many contributing elements. The first of these events was the reconcentration policy. General Weyler was put in charge to stop Cuban rebels from expanding. Such policy was intended to protect the noncombatant peasantry of the island, but his sole object was to compel them to put themselves wholly in the power of the Spanish officials (White). The policy forced all rural district civilians to move into cities and towns that were still under Weyler s control. Moreover, Weyler concluded that this would prevent civilians from assisting rebels with information or food. He enforced the concentration ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. Leadership Reflection Introduction If you ask anyone about the importance of leadership, you will undoubtedly hear about how important of a task it is. Ask that person what leadership is and you will hear as many answers as the amount of people you ask. In all honesty, there is surely a decent amount of subjectivity that goes into it, but there are certain things that are non negotiables in leadership. I have read my fair share of leadership books whether for class or for leisure. I could always pull certain things that I liked or believed would be helpful as I am being shaped into the leader that I one day hope to be. However, this book was different. In other leadership books I ve read, it is hard to take some of the authors seriously. Not because the things that they were writing were bad, but I didn t know about their credentials. It s very possible to write about a topic without having any experience with what is being written about. Likewise, someone can write a lot of seemingly great things about leadership, but if they aren t a leader then I would take it with a grain of salt. One of the comforts I had while reading this book is knowing that I did not have to worry about that with Al Mohler. When he writes about leadership, I can know with certainty that he has walked the walk. The roots of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary are rich, but it had gone very far downhill. I was told by one professor that for a stretch in the latter part of the twentieth century, if you were serious ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. Theme Of Honor In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold IB English A: Literature HL Written Assignment Word Count: 1,277 An Investigation into Honor in Chronicle of a Death Foretold According to Epic World History, Latin American men consider honor both a prized personal possession and a crucially important expression of one s public self ( Epic World History ). To lose one s honor was to become low and tarnished in society s eyes. Chronicle of a Death Foretold tells a story of horrific murder driven by the loss of honor through a journalistic view. In the novella, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, through the actions and thoughts of the Vicario brothers and townspeople, Gabriel García Marquez highlights the absurdity of the code of honor and critiques the flaws in Latin American society. With the defensive actions of the Vicario brothers, Marquez scrutinizes how Latin American society uses the code of honor as a justification for vengeful acts. Following the crime, the Vicario brothers speak on trial, defending their innocence: It was a matter of honour (29). Marquez uses the self justifying tone of the phrase matter of honor to criticize that within Latin American society, people do not falter to commit such heinous crimes, and perceive such acts as ways to regain honor. The Vicario brother s justification of homicide therefore reflects the society s twisted perception of honor. The Vicario s brother s self reassurance is also conveyed through the numerous times they announced, We are going to kill Santiago Nasar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From his theories that he claimed were developed during his voyage, Darwin eventually wrote his Origin of Species and Descent of Man, which exploded into the world market over twenty years after his return home. Wallace, King and Sanders wrote in Biosphere, The Realm of Life: In 1859, Charles Darwin published a theory of evolution that implied that humans evolved from apes. . .The Darwinian revolution was the greatest paradigm shift in the history of biology, and it greatly changed the way that ordinary men and women viewed their own place in the world. (1) World Book tells us: (2) . . .The study of the specimens from the voyage of the Beagle convinced Darwin that modern species had evolved from a few earlier ones. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For this reason, the origins of the Earth, the heavens, the seas, plants and animals, and men and women were wrapped in unquestioned dogmas, some of which hold true today. It is only comparatively recently, in societies and civilizations possessed of scientific knowledge and methods of investigation, that such dogmas have come under question. Contrary to this opinion though, we find in fact that evolutionary thought is itself a rather old idea. The editors of Biology Today would agree: Much has been written on whether or not the Darwinian theory was original. Inevitably, historians have concluded that there was little novelty in what Darwin and Wallace were saying. Down through the centuries, from ancient Greek times on, various writers have suggested that new species can arise through the modification of old and that among all the possible organic types, the world contains only those that can survive the struggle for life. (8) This is indeed interesting, that the concept that Darwin is given so much credit for was not even a very modern idea in his own day. We find that Anaximander of Miletus (611 B.C. 546 B.C.) advanced the traditional evolutionary idea, already quite common in his day, that life first evolved from a type of pre biotic soup, helped along a bit by the rays of the sun. He believed that the first animals developed from sea slime which had been evaporated by the suns rays. He also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Boston University Archaeology Department Essay On May 9th, 2016, the Boston University Archaeology Department held a public outreach event called, Eating Archaeology , where guests were served foods from four different time periods and places: Bronze age Mycenae, Bronze age China, Pre Columbian Mesoamerica, specifically the Aztecs, and mid 19th century Boston. The creation of these dishes was made possible through analyzing archaeological sites through the lens of the newly popularized sub field, archaeology of the senses, which studies how the materiality of the world contributes to and is influenced by how humans use their senses (Hamilakis 4). Through analyzing the bodily senses, archaeologists can create a more detailed interpretation of the experiences of ancient humans (Hamilakis i). This new interest in the sensory aspect of human culture brings a fascination with the types of foods that people consumed in the past. With this in mind, a group of graduate students in the fields of archaeology, food history, and gastronomy, at Boston University, collaborated to test if material remains can be used to recreate ancient recipes. Through eating these foods, one can glimpse a part of the culture that ate the dish, illustrating the power of taste, and demonstrating that archaeology can be used to create something tangible for the public. This paper will focus on the research process for the mid 19th century brothel site, located in Boston, and how the materials gathered during excavation were used to reconstruct the ... People mainly talk about the plane instead of the missing family members, which were not given much respect through the media. Since the media creates opinions, they need a side to stick with. That is how the terms conservatives and liberals came to be. People consider conservatives to be Republicans and liberals to be Democrats. News sources like the New York Times and MSNBC are liberal, while Fox News and the National Review are conservative. Liberals tend to believe in gay rights, for abortion, no guns, and centralising the government; although, conservatives like the ideas opposing the liberals. • 26. Taking a Look at Zombie Ants The stereotypical Zombie Ant , most typically found in a rain forest and or farm climate, are not the flesh tearing type of zombie you most likely had in mind, instead, fungal spreading mind controlled ants, taken over by a fungal parasite. And these ants, are far from usual. There is a cycling, almost endless process, repeated in three stages. The process and fungus is called Ophiocordyceps Unilateralis. During the first faze, the fungal parasite picked up by the target ant, enters the ant s brain, by latching on to the skin, literally tearing its way through its cuticle, and separating all inside muscle tissue. The fungus is picked up from the forest floor, in particles dropped by another infected ant. This powerful overtaking fungus is known as. After the fungus has entered the body, it starts to travel up into the head of the infected ant. After the parasite has entered the brain, the zombification stage of the fungus inside the ant causes the fungus to grow in the head and take over the mind, where the ant now goes through an uncontrollable, helpless faze, where the fungus is present in the head, and now in charge of the ant s mind. In full control of the ant s body, the fungus can now direct the ant away from it s natural daily routine, and cause it to roam around the forest hoplessly. The reason being for the fungus to target and take over these ants in the first place is to create a sort of mass production of the fungul parasitic ants, taking over the forest, ...
