Mock Interviews and Practical Tips on Answering Interview Questions

What do you say? Answer the question immediately 
– just as you would respond in real life.
Mock Interview Format: 
 4 minutes maximum (2-3 questions); the interview will 
continue even if you make a mistake. 
 1 minute of feedback after each interview 
 Each interview will be recorded and DVD given to you. 
 After 10 interviews we will have a brief break to have a group 
feed back discussion of major issues. 
 At the end of all interviews, a final feedback session to review 
the good and bad of the workshop’s interviews.

 Practice in front of a mirror, friends, family, colleagues. 
 Film yourself answering interview questions. 
 Write out and practice answering common AND unusual 
interview questions. 
 When you think you are ready – practice a few more times!
THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW 
 EAT A LIGHT AND HEALTHY BREAKFAST (OR LUNCH) 
 DRESS FOR SUCCESS & BRING CV OR OTHER REQUESTED MATERIALS 
 ARRIVE EARLY (20-30 MINUTES EARLY IF GOING TO THE EMBASSY) 
 PRACTICE YOUR GREETINGS AND FIRST ANSWERS 
 REMEMBER YOUR BODY LANGUAGE 
 RELAX, EXECUTE, AND HAVE A GREAT INTERVIEW 
 CONCLUDE INTERVIEW WITH RELEVANT QUESTIONS AND RESTATE YOUR 
INTERESTE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP.
AFTER THE INTERVIEW 
 FOLLOW UP PROMPTLY WITH ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED 
BY THE INTERVIEWER 
 STAY IN CONTACT WITH THE INTERVIEWER AND REPLY TO EMAIL QUESTIONS
