2. Paragraph Assessment of My Gardner’s Graph
My highest multiple intelligence score was in the intrapersonal area
(I scored 20). I agree with this conclusion because I have excellent self-
awareness and am good at analyzing my strengths and weaknesses. I use my
intrapersonal skills on a daily basis; doing things on my own gives me
enjoyment and satisfaction. I also scored high in the visual/spatial area. This
is true, too, because I like reading and writing, interpreting pictures, graphs,
and paintings. My grandfather is an artist, and I enjoy discussing famous
artists with him. The third area that I scored high in is the musical area. I play
the guitar every day and have believe I have a good grasp on remembering
songs, a quality music smart people share.

5. Sensation Activity
based on Intrapersonal Intelligence
• Psychology can be learned from nature. This lesson plan takes students out into a
safe but wooded area (a park, for example.)
• First, students will sit by themselves for one hour, gaining self-awareness on their
senses of touch, sight, smell, hearing, and taste as they relate to the environment.
• Next, they will explore and focus on how our mind interprets what our senses
detect.
• Finally, while sitting outdoors, they will write a 4 pg. journal description of their
experience, including 5 metaphors of how nature pertains to the sensations
people feel in life.

6. Neuroscience and Behavior Activity
based on Visual Intelligence
• Psychology can be learned through art. This lesson plan requires that students visit
the High Museum (or any museum in their local area).
• First, students will tour the museum, looking for 5 pieces of artwork that they would
like to interpret or analyze, and relate them to parts of the brain and behavior.
• Next, they will create a visual representation such as a poster, drawing, or model
describing in detail their interpretations of the 5 pieces. They should include
vocabulary from the lesson plus identify brain areas they used to complete this
assignment.

7. States of Consciousness Activity
based on Musical Intelligence
• Psychology can be learned through music. This lesson plan requires students to
find 5 pieces of music that correspond to the five stages of the sleep cycle.
• Students will then write a detailed description of why they chose the songs they
did and how they relate to the sleep stages, paying careful attention to musical
elements such as rhythm, musical patterns, tone, and instruments.
• The second part of this activity involves composing a song that identifies and
describes the major sleep disorders. It can be of any genre; rap, classical, pop,
rock and roll, etc. The key is to have fun with it and be creative!
