Intellectual Property Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of intellectual property is no easy task. The complexity of the
topic stems from the intricate web of legal, ethical, and economic considerations surrounding
intellectual property rights. Tackling this subject requires a deep understanding of various
aspects, including copyright, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
The challenge lies in navigating through the nuanced legal frameworks that govern intellectual
property, which vary across different jurisdictions. This necessitates extensive research to grasp
the historical evolution of intellectual property laws and their impact on innovation and creativity.
Furthermore, addressing the ethical dimensions adds another layer of difficulty. Balancing the
rights of creators and the public interest, while considering issues like piracy and counterfeiting,
demands a thoughtful and well-argued analysis.
The economic implications of intellectual property also contribute to the complexity. Assessing
the role of intellectual property in fostering innovation, promoting competition, and ensuring fair
compensation for creators involves delving into economic theories and market dynamics.
In addition, synthesizing diverse viewpoints on the topic requires critical thinking and the ability
to present a coherent and well-supported argument. Striking a balance between acknowledging
the need for intellectual property protection and recognizing concerns about its potential stifling
effects on innovation adds an extra layer of intricacy to the essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on intellectual property requires a multifaceted approach,
combining legal, ethical, and economic perspectives. It demands meticulous research, critical
analysis, and effective communication skills to navigate the complexities inherent in the topic.

The Faults in The Affordable Care Act Essays
Many of today s arguments within the American government have to do with
health care. The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare or The
ACA, has been effective since March 23, 2010. Most of Obamacare s major
provisions, such as mandated individual coverage, just took effect at the beginning
of 2014. Democrats support the health care reform while a majority of republicans
are entirely against it. On paper the health care reform looks good, but there are a
lot of things that could potentially hurt the American population. Our founding
fathers never had a debate over healthcare and frankly I don t think it should be a
topic of discussion today. The way healthcare has worked in the past is still working
today and I see no reason to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Health Care Conscience Rights Act, or HCCRA, would be a huge overhaul to
the Affordable Care Act as a whole. One of the major changes being the freedom to
choose and not be taxed for not wanting to be covered. Unfortunately this bill has
yet to get pass it s committee and the future of it seems quite dim. As of now if you
indeed choose not to enroll in Obamacare and do not pay your fines the fee will be
taken out of your income tax return by the IRS. After all, if nobody enrolls
Obamacare will fail. In order to avoid this they made it mandatory and gave the IRS
the power to take money from Americans in order to finance something that half of
them would rather not be a part of. Not only is this mandate unconstitutional, it will
fail and ultimately hurt our country in the end. Obamacare also states that all
employers with more than 50 full time workers must provide affordable health
insurance or face a fee of up to 2,000 dollars for every full time employee receiving a
tax credit minus 30. What is a tax credit? Say, Bob for example, decides that his
employer doesn t offer coverage that fits his personal needs. Bob can go to an
exchange and find more affordable coverage that actually covers what he needs it
to. The benefit to bob is that he gets coverage and he would also get a tax cut for
finding the appropriate coverage for him, hence the tax credit. The bad thing is that
now the company faces the penalty for not
Vo2 Max Lab Report
Introduction: VO2 max is the maximum oxygen intake during a high intensity
exercise. The test is typically done on a treadmill, or cycle ergometer. The VO2 max
test reflects the aerobic fitness of the test subject and the endurance the subject has
during prolonged exercise. The subject who are fit usually have a greater VO2 max,
and can exercise for longer periods of time than other who are not physically fit. Pro
athletes usually have a higher VO2 max because they train hard in order to be
physically fit.
Purpose: The purpose of the VO2 max test is to measure the aerobic fitness of the test
subject in order to determine their fitness level. The test is done during a high
intensity work out to determine their oxygen intake. The test also involved taking
their heart rate during the test at different times.
Methods:
Treadmill test In this test the test subject will get on the treadmill for a slow walk
with the speed ranging from 3.0 4.5 mph. the slow walk will last four minutes after
those four minutes the subject heartrate will be recorded. The heart rate will

Decathlon is a French manufacturer and retailer of sporting goods, established in

Secondly, another challenge is to increase brand awareness and connect Decathlon
China with its customers. To begin, we can see that no efforts are done to bring
consumers to the Decathlon s official website. As a result, Decathlon China should
use specific online forums about sports, where people usually tell their purchasing
experiences, ask questions, etc. and where Decathlon China could use banners to be
visible and attractive. Decathlon China could also hire an employee who will be
charged to share its purchasing experiences at Decathlon China , so as to convince
people to have a closer look at Decathlon China when they are looking for sporting
goods. In the same time, we can see that the competition is highly using social media
to connect with their customers. Accordingly, Decathlon China should create a
company fan page on Chinese local social media, and more specifically, Renren and
Sina Weibo, as its target audience usually hang out on these social media. The
Decathlon fan page should inform potential consumers, bring them to the official
website, but also allow consumers to interact, ask questions directly to Decathlon. As
a consequence, Decathlon China should also hire few employees to update its fan
page frequently and answer very quickly to the questions of potential consumers to
show their reactivity.

THE CULTURE OF DISBELIEF
The culture of disbelief is a book written to people who are very interested in
religious beliefs, liberty and all the influence that religion cause into the public
square. Carter argues that religion should not be present in politics, education, and
so on. . Moreover, Carter is not about one s person beliefs, he makes demands of its
adherents, and wishes some kind of hope for their lives. The preface of this book
shows perfectly with it s titles what is The Culture of Disbelief going to talk about
(e.g. How American Law and Politics Trivialize Religious Devotion). Therefore, it
takes us to the point where readers implied a connection between religion with law
and politics. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

real and greater than the state. It is a way of saying or accepting that people have
the right to say no, I will not accede to your will. Society sometimes does not
recognize that there are religious people that believe that God have communicated to
us by the Bible. Carter asks for freedom to those who can not stand it.
Separation of Church and State:
Carter says that religion needs to be autonomy, that we need a freedom of religion,
an independent moral voice, we need to take decisions to be able to be critical of the
state, which is a vital role that religion plays. The idea of separating church from the
state meant protecting the church from the state, and not the state from the church #.
The exercise clause is present just to protect the people from the government
indifference with their religion, and the

government and religion. That is why this statement is a little bit confused for me.

How Did England Lose Colonial America
In the early American days, America was mostly controlled by English and French
settlers. They fought for land near the fertile Ohio River Valley, both claiming to
own the land. The strive to fully own this land led to the French and Indian war in
1754. The French fought with the Native Americans against England and its
colonies. In 1763, the war finally ended with the surrender at Montreal and the
Treaty of Paris. England had won the war, but at a certain price. Eventually,
through a chain of events, England lost rebellious America because of this war.
After the French and Indian war, England needed to pay off a large war debt. They
decided to abuse their power in eastern America to pay off the debt. They taxed basic

Personal Learning Styles Essay
Personal learning styles are highly complex and unique to specific individuals. It is
often difficult to pinpoint an exact learning style. Though there are different
categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits
and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn
information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my
learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Based on what I have
recently learned and know from experience, I have also devised a structured plan for
improvement of time managementand study skills.
From a very young age, writing has been a passion of mine. Through writing I have

Working in a group setting was completely undesirable for me; as I would much
rather work on my own. With an introverted personality, I understand my need for
independent thinking. I am only able to concentrate in quite, personalized settings
because of easy distractions.
Similarly, organization is a key element to my unique learning style. After taking the
Personality Spectrum (Carter, Bishop, Kravits, 2002) assessment, I have become
even more aware of my compatibility with structured learning environments. In class,
I need information to be presented in an easy but detailed fashion. I prefer outlines
style formats over summaries of information. It is also essential that I know what is
expected with academics and assignments. This knowledge insures confidence in my
academic ability and allows me to set extra goals when needed.
With respect to my stronger skills, there are still underdeveloped areas of learning
which I would like to improve on. Reading, for example, is my biggest struggle. I
have a significant amount of trouble remembering and comprehending what I read.
This has ultimately caused my lack of interest in this type of learning. I also struggle
with lecture style environments, which is again due to my deficient ability to retain
information in this type of setting.
While my new found academic goals reflect my desire for personal achievement,

Clockwork Orange
Clockwork Orange critique
Clockwork orange is a book that talks about a young man named Alex and his gang
that just go around committing one crime after the other in their community. Alex
later on in the story got set up by his gang members and got arrested for all the
crimes that he committed including killing people. Alex was then sentenced to
fourteen years in prison and during his time in prison; Alex got recruited for an
experiment that the government is working on to be the first prisoner to take part in
this experiment. At the end of it all, Alex went through the experiment and just like
everything else has side effects, Alex went through the experiment s effect with the
consequences of the actions that send him there in the first place.
Apart from the language being hard to understand, clockwork orange is a very
interesting book. I honestly didn t know what to expect when before I started
reading this book. But by reading this book, it had me asking a lot of questions as
such what was the government thinking putting Alex through that experiment, and
why do they want to change someone who did not ask for their help to change at
the first place. I also wanted to know why they didn t assign a supervisor for Alex to

This work involves part of a complex real world logistical problem faced by a
company operating on public and private investments whose main objective is the
commercialization of its product in the domestic market.
The study s fundamental practical contribution is solving the real world problem
presented, allowing an improved supply chain through one of its two main activities,
the logistics, by combining strategic and tactical decisions. The real world problem is
the partitioning of customers into certain groups and planning visits to these
customers over a given time horizon (strategic decisions) and the construction of
efficient routes by which to visit the customers (tactical decisions). Theoretically, this
problem contains the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This paper summarizes the methodology for solving this problem, divided into
phases. Its main contribution is the model and solution of the second phase: the
problem of scheduling visits to customers. We have designed an experiment to
validate the proposed solution method using information drawn from the real world
problem and have adapted relevant instances from the literature.
The structure of the real world problem is as follows. The company has a set of
points of sale for a product that must be visited every month at a frequency
determined by its sales volume by one of the nine company trucks travelling from a
central depot to which they must return after their journey. Each customer must
always be visited by the same truck. Some customers are visited on the same day
by the same truck, as happens when at least one customer associated with a
headquarters customer is visited. There are four types of visit frequency, each
depending on the customer s sales volume: weekly (1 day per week, the same
always, for example on Tuesday), Biweekly (two visits per week, which must be
Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday), Bimonthly (2 times a month, first
and third week or second and fourth weeks, but always the same day of the week, for
example, always Monday) and Monthly (once a month). The trucks are available from
Monday to Friday. A month is considered to be 4 weeks with 20 days of delivery.
The length of the truck s stay with the customers is not constant and does not
As Interest Fades
As Interest Fades in the Humanities, Colleges Worry: Reaction to Lewin, Tamar
Tamar Lewin, a national reporter for The New York Times, in her article titled, As
Interest Fades in the Humanities, Colleges Worry, which was posted on October 30,
2013, sheds light on the fading interest in the humanities amongst student. This is
especially true for those belonging to Stanford University. Many scholars alongside
Lewin, are now asking why this trend is occurring. As stated in the article, Stanford is
known for its reputation in technology, and as years pass, students are beginning to
transition from the humanities to majors belonging in the sciences. She fears that this
will in time mark the end of subjects such as history, philosophy, foreign languages,
and a plethora of subjects that belong to the humanities, leading to student that lack
critical thinking skills. Computer science for example, is currently a widely favored
major amongst students. Currently it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
More and more sciences are dominating society, and slowly pushing the humanities
away. In schools, you often here students speak about how this major is harder or
softer than the other, and the ones that are almost classified as being soft are those
belonging to the humanities. This in my opinion, is the effect, of the shifting trend
that is taking place. Even instructors in the institution are now prompting students
away from the humanities, and encouraging them towards science, which is not
necessarily an evil deed, but is aiding in the decline of the humanities as a whole.
This to me is causing students to lack the ability to think logically and critically in

The Testimony Essay
The Testimony is a 2015 documentary that depicts the aftermath of the Rape of
Minova by the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The film
tells the stories of some of the victims of this atrocity, which occurred after the fall
of Goma to M23 rebels in the eastern Congo. The documentary, which received an
Oscar nomination for best documentary short, uses a very dramatic and enchanting
method to bring in its audience and tell the story of injustice. However, it is my
belief that although the film is very effective in captivating an audience, it does not
do a good job of explaining the full extent of atrocities towards women in the Congo
throughout most of its modern history, thereby failing to indicate the extent of the

Given their location in remote parts of the eastern Congo, the help that victims had
access to was unprecedented. The movie showed resources such as the women s
farm, which allows women who were shunned by their villages to come together
and still be productive members of their community. The hospital also gave many
medical resources to women who caught diseases like HIV/AIDS and served as a
support group for these victims. On top of these, the girls school was also a
resource to provide an education for young girls to prepare for the world. Outside
of these groups, there were also individuals working to make their voices heard.
The most prominent of these was the fifteen year old girl who did public artwork to
show the value of women and protest the continuing rapes in the country. The teacher
depicted in the girls school also served as an individual advocate, decorating his
room to let the girls know that they were valued and speaking out in this film about
why women are important to the community, the Congo, and Africa. To have this
many resources and supporters in such a remote part of the world is absolutely

As a result, we decided that we needed to pick a business strategy and stick with it
to develop in key markets and create success with all having the same goal in mind.
Once we keyed in on that and made our decisions based on our own calculation and
predictions, we started to see greater results. Most businesses do not get a practice
round to see if they will make it in the business world as we did before we actually
began and get a clean slate to try again. In reality, if we would have had a failed
business venture, it would have resulted in a huge loss and we would have learned
from our mistakes and had to invest more money on another attempt. Luckily, that
was not the case, and we were able to make more analyzed decisions and complete
the simulation quite successfully. The overwhelming part of the simulation was the
time it took in making the decisions, when you have three CEO s who think very
differently. Once we realized the decisions actually do need to be thought out and
discussed, which took typically three to four hours of our own time outside class, we
started to see results. In the beginning, we really underestimated the amount of time
was needed to make educated decisions. Also, I felt just as we got the hang of the
project and adjusted our strategy, more decisions were added, which took

The ACA is a relatively new healthcare reform in the United States. Obamacare
(which is perhaps the more popular name) actually has a long and complex history.
In fact, this complexity is refectled in its very structure, as the ACA is really the
composite of a number of other pieces of legislation such as the Patient Protection
Act (PPA), sections of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (HCERA),
the Affordable Health Care for America Act(AHCAA), and also, the Student Aid
and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA). Generally speaking, all of these pieces of
legislation had, as their target objective, the goal of reforming healthcare in the
United States, so that more Americans had greater access to more affordable, better

Conflict is defined as a process when one party perceives that other party as
negatively affecting something that the other party cares about. (Stephen Robbins
2007, pg 1) Conflict has challenges but conflict can be beneficial to a team and can
bring out the best in every team member. The benefits can help the team moving in
the right direction; conflict allows people to voice their opinions and allows people
to grow from conflict. Conflict gets everyone involved and it allows the team to
make better choices. Solution to problems comes out of conflict. Conflict can also
lead to new ideas and different ways of accomplishing a project. Conflict has
benefits but there are also downsizes to conflict if left unattended conflict can destroy
a team; it can make people mistrust each other. Conflict can come from not meeting
project deadline and from projects going over budget.

Comparison Between Little Brother And 1984
Comparisons of Little Brother and 1984 Living in a society where the government is
constantly watching and monitoring everything a person does can cause many
problems throughout the area. When people living in the area start to realize what the
government is doing, they want to take action into their own hands. In the
contemporary novel, Little Brother, and in the classic novel, 1984, this in one of the
main challenges that the protagonists have to go through and try to figure out how to
stop the government.
In the contemporary novel Little Brother, Marcus Yallow is a normal teenage boy,
he loves being with his friends, playing video games, and especially hates going to

affair begins to flourish, Winston s hatred for the party grows more and he feels it is
time to overthrow the party. He counts on the help of his brotherhood and friends, but
he may have made one big mistake that can cost him everything.
Throughout the contemporary and classic novels, there are a few similarities the
two books share. In both books, Little Brother and 1984, the protagonists are faced
with living in a society where the government has control on most of their life.
However, the two books are a little different in how to governement is controlling
their lives. In Little Brother, Marcus Yallow, has noticed that the government is
spying on the people by tracking their computers, phones, and even their cars. While
Marcus is noticing all of this going on many other people in the community have no
idea. In 1984, Winston Smith s town is being watched by telescreens that are placed
everywhere and everyone knows about them. Another similarity that both books share
is the protagonist s braveness.

Patrick Henry His Uses of Rhetorical Devices In Patrick Henry s Speech to the
Virginia Convention , Patrick Henry persuades colonists to fight Britain through
several rhetorical devices: Imagery, appeal to ethos, rhetorical questions and
metaphor. These rhetorical devices worked to help gain trust and to soften the
message. Patrick Henry wanted to approach them emotionally and question their
logic and morality. One of the most important rhetorical devices he used was
imagery. One example of imagery he used on his speech was We are apt to shut our
eyes against a painful truth which meant to tell them that they believe in a hope that

To make them react so they could take action on the problem that might ruin them
all if they don t act fast. To make them know if they were smart enough or were
capable of making the right decisions. Patrick Henry also wanted to make them
choose between liberty and slavery. It s logical to choose liberty because then you
are free to make your own decisions and live without reserve. There was a part of
his speech where Patrick Henry used sarcasm as part of his rhetorical question part
of his speech was And what have we to oppose them? Shall we try argument? The
explanation is that the Colonist don t really have anything to defend themselves
against the British but to fight them. Sarcastically, he asked them if they wanted to
try to argue with the British so they could make them reason. But, sincerely, talking
their problems out wasn t going to really work. Another example of a rhetorical
question was But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week or the next
year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be
stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? The
purpose of this was to ask every Colonists when will it be that they suggest they
should become stronger and stand up for themselves or if they were just going to wait
until they were totally defenseless and unprepared to actually start thinking what is it

A Literary Convention Expended by Junot Diaz Essay
Analyzing a symbol as a literary convention used by author, Junot DГaz makes a way
to identify the purpose of the device. In his novel, The Brief Wondrous Life of
Oscar Wao (2007), the mechanism is used to develop an explicit character and
point of view. The symbol is a sensory image that holds rich implication that is
either a narrow or broad. Occasionally the reader is cast off by the author with an
unknown meaning of the symbol hence is forced to create his own interpretation.
The latter principle is intentionally carried out by the author as a literary hook to
draw the attention of his audience to keep reading. Moreover, the author may also use
in combination with the hook the method of utilizing pathos as a way of arousing the

I muse how the symbol of the faceless man is used in this scene in lieu of fear of
the unknown. They had guns! He stared into the night, hoping that maybe there
would be some U.S. Marines out for a stroll, but there was only a lone man sitting
in his rocking chair out in front of his ruined house and for a moment Oscar could
have sworn the dude has no face, but then the killers got back into the car and
drove (298). Flawlessly the narrative is filled with mysterious symbols of faceless
men that attach to the fuku aka zafa that is generally a curse or doom. Moreover,
the faceless men are used as a gesture, to give a signal to the reader, that something
dangerous is about to occur. Transparently Junot Diaz discusses via interviews why
he used the symbol of faceless men and its significance. In one interview Misty
Reno of The Tack Newspaper reported that students posed a question for Diaz as,
Who are the faceless men? Diaz replied by stating that, Do I have any idea
who...they are? No...[but] every time I took them out of the book the novel fell

creatures [...the faceless men] are because when they make that decision, the book

Heritage Assessment
Culture is a pattern of behavior and values shared by an ethnic group. Cultural

Data Mining Essay
Abstract
Every interaction your company has with a customer or supplier likely generates a
data trail and this data provides a wealth of information for marketers. Extracting that
information and getting it into usable shape requires sophisticated data mining tools.
One example of this technology is the used by police departments to identify patterns
in crime. We will define, explain and discuss main aspects of data mining. Also its
benefits and negative issues. What is Data?
Data is defined as facts, concepts, information, or instructions in a formalized manner
suitable for communication, interpretation, or processing by humans or by automatic
means. Like mentioned before this processing is usually assumed to be automated and

Data Mining
What is Data Mining?
Data mining is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and
summarizing it into useful information, this information that can be used to increase
revenue, cuts costs, or both. Data mining software is one of a number of analytical
tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different
dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified.
Technically, data mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among
dozens of fields in large relational databases. (Sometimes called data or knowledge
discovery)
How does data mining work?
Data mining is a subset of business intelligence, which covers a broad range of
analytics technologies. Often used for predictive modeling, data mining tools can
also help organizations better understand relationships among variables. One core
software tool is online analytical processing (OLAP), which extracts, structures and
stores warehoused data to enable quick, multidimensional analysis. A dimension can
be any variable your company tracks: customer locations, sales volumes, product
development costs and so on. An OLAP data set is made up of dimensions and
measures, which can then be used for queries to elicit detailed data breakdowns and

Case Synopsis
Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) is a privately held, debt free,
company that is a global leader in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software
used for visualization and analysis of geographic data by institutional users across the
globe. ESRI has pioneered this technology for four decades as it pursued its founder
leader Jack Dangermond s mission to change the world by making it spatially
enabled. Since 2000, the world has changed. The new Internet companies have put
electronic maps with live data and interactivity on the internet enabled desktops of ...

By the end of 2006, many additional interactive features were available on these
electronic maps. For example, in addition to getting directions from one point to
another, one could also look up real time traffic along the route, in addition to
locating a hotel on a map, one could also locate the nearby businesses and tourist
attractions. Related technologies started to appear in mobile devices from cell
phone to automobiles. Cars could be equipped with devices that linked to the
satellite Global Positioning System that could provide driving directions as well as
local information as one drove through an area, and cell phones could be tracked to
their exact locations.
Jack s vision of a geographically enabled world was coming true, except that it was
happening with technologies and companies that were unrelated to ESRI or even
GIS. Many of these companies and technologies were not around in 1969, when
Jack and Laura first started ESRI. Will this visionary pioneer of geographic
information systems be a pioneer in this geographically enabled world that they
have championed for four decades? What role will ESRI and GIS play in this new
era? What resources and capabilities does ESRI have and how should it deploy them
in order to create its position in this changing world? Will it continue to be the
number one player in the market? How, if at all, should ESRI be responding to the
new technologies and companies that are redefining the market? What are the
The Religious Impacts Of The First Great Awakening And
The...
Both The First Great Awakening and The Enlightenment generated an instant trend in
the revival of religious influences. Started by Jonathan Edwards and George
Whitefield, the Great Awakening was most commonly understood to have its greatest
religious impact between the 1730s and 1740s. American colonists had begun to
become more devoted to various religions, which resulted in the toleration of many of
them. Another cause of this revival dated back to the late seventeenth and early
eighteenth centuries when a German movement, called Pietism, emphasized closely
distinct personal connections with God (Gullotta, 2016). This movement spread as a
result British, German, Scottish, Scotch Irish immigration that then influenced
British and Dutch religion(Gullotta, 2016). As a consequence, American colonists had
begun to become more devoted to various religions, which resulted in the toleration of
many of them.
One of the effects of The Great Awakening on the British North American colonists
was the religious rule. The ties between culture and politics through religious
movements changed the norms of the colonists. Other than immigrants from town to
town the visitation of preachers caused an emergence of opposition about the truth of
the church and creation of new sects and Protestant denominations. A few of the
preachers who led these preaching tours included George Whitefield, Theodore Jacob
Frelinghugusen, James Davenport, Samuel Davis, and Gilbert Tennent (Gullotta,
2016).

With the increasing advancement in technology, the complexity of implementing
upgrades and cost of running current software updates, it is right to say that operating
an in house technology solution can be cumbersome and time consuming. The result
of these problem has slowed down most business operations that are dependent on
technology for maximizing profit and reaching its desired goal. The cost of
maintaining resources required for establishing a secured environment for business

reporting and transaction processing. Organizations have accepted this IT solution
because it helps strengthen several business processes and provide opportunities for
growth. However, implementing ERP solutions are somewhat demanding and time
consuming, implementation may take several months before completion. Although
outsourcing may pose as a best risk mitigation approach to business solutions, there
are also many challenges associated with outsourcing IT solutions. It is critical that
before organizations make decisions on whether to outsource a section of their
business, they understand the implications such as risks and benefits before going
into contracts. The purpose of this paper is to describe outsourcing as it relates to IT
solutions. Following the research questions, a background that discusses outsourcing
is presented which addresses reasons for outsourcing IT solutions, benefits involved
in outsourcing, risks involved in outsourcing IT projects and best practices of
outsourcing ERP solutions. Also, a section of this paper discusses outsourcing as it
relates to enterprise resource planning (ERP), this is because ERP is considered a big
player in IT solutions provision, which have been adopted and implemented in their

The Dreaded Upper-arm Jiggle
The back of the upper arms is a common female problem area, especially after
menopause or if you lead an inactive lifestyle. (See References 1, p. 112) Weight
gain can result in that dreaded underarm jiggle that has you wearing long sleeved
shirts all year round. By exercising your triceps the three headed musclethat takes up
two thirds of your upper arm you can firm and define this area so you can
comfortably sport sleeveless shirts during the hot summers.
Exercises With Free Weights
You can work your triceps with a barbell or dumbbells. The latter might be more
convenient, since it allows you to work one arm at a time. Exercises can include
triceps extensions and kickbacks. These require you to extend and bend your elbows
to target the backs of your upper arms. You can do this while standing or sitting with
a dumbbell in your hand while your arm is extended overhead; you can bend forward
from your waist and press the dumbbell back; or you can lie face up on a bench with
your arms extended up, bending your elbows and bringing the weight toward your
forehead before pressing it up. (See References 2, p. 111)
Exercises With Machines
The triceps machine and high cable pulley station should become your best friends
in the gym. Triceps machines require you to bend and extend your elbows by
pressing and raising levers against the selected resistance. A high cable pulley with a
handle bar or rope attachment can also work your triceps. While in a split stance you

How A Family Stressor Is The Key Responsibility Of

There was a time when the families of America seemed to resemble their TV
counterparts, such as The Cleavers from Leave it to Beaver, or the Seavers, from
Growing Pains, with a totally intact nuclear family, with a happily married parents
and 2 3 cheerful children, all of whom seemed able to overcome their problems in
the time span of thirty minutes minus commercials. Of course this is an
overgeneralized, oversimplified view of the families of the past but at least on the
outside families did resemble this mold. Today divorce, single parenting, economic
situations causing adult children to remain in the home, are just some of the ways
that families of today have strayed from the typical norm portrayed in the past. The
purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how a familystressor, such as the added
responsibility of raising a grandchild, can adversely effect its members, but at the
same time, how a family can still succeed by utilizing the strengths that come from
within. A family stressor is the added tension or pressure that can lead to big
change in one s family. According to Kunz (2013) an example of stress could be
the long hours family members work. The parent or parents having to work long
hours at there job would cause a loss of personal time the family could spend
together. Also Kunz (2013) states that many people in society are set on outdoing
their neighbors with the latest and greatest. This becomes a stressor with family s

The Effects Of The Rwandan Genocide
Genocide refers to the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those
of a particular nation or ethnic group. The Rwandan Genocide began on the 7th April
1994 and ended in July 1994. It occurred as a result of the death of the Rwandan
president, JuvГ©nal Habyarimana, a hutu, who lost his life in a plane crash. This
sparked outrage across the country, where many Tutsis were attacked by extreme
members of the Hutu national ethnic majority. As a consequence of this 800,000
people consisting of the Tutsis as well as Hutu moderates were slaughtered. It was
one of the heaviest genocides that occurred in human history. The victims of this
brutal attack were the Tutsis, while the perpetrators were the extreme hutu
nationalists who took take control of the country.
One of the many victims of this horrific genocide was Jean Louis Mazimpaka, a 17
year old who survived the Rwandan genocide. He lived with his mum, dad and 4
siblings, whom were all Tutsi Rwandans. One day they heard that the Tutsis were
being attacked, but didn t worry because they didn t know whether or not the Militia
would arrive where they live. Unfortunately, the killings reached their hometown
where, his friend, the husband of a teacher, was killed. People with machetes and
other weapons came to steal from his house, and they killed him. Still we thought we

#### incomplete #### The proliferation stage took place in the era of economic
reforms (1978 to 1994) with the normalization of US China relations following the
visit of President Nixon (Li and Ding, 2013). The country began to open up and
moved its focus from the struggle for class to the development of productive power.
The country began to transit from a centrally planned to a market economy. This
means that various ministries, and provincial and municipalities were more
autonomous in decision making and therefore made a choice to develop their
regions through the auto industry development leading to the proliferation stage.
This stage occurred in two ways: a rise in output volume and the range of vehicles

volume were planned by the central government as opposed to being controlled by
the market. Majority of the vehicles produced were trucks with passenger vehicle
production being limited. At that time, saloon cars could only be used by senior

Discuss narcissistic, antisocial, and dependent personality disorders.
Someone with narcissistic personality disorder would show an exaggerated sense of
self importance, a preoccupation with being admired, and a lack of empathy for the
feelings of others (Hooley, p.349). Many studies support the fact that narcissism has
two sub types: grandiose and vulnerable narcissism (cain et al.,2008; Ronningstam,
2005, 2012). The grandiose sub type is manifested by traits related to grandiosity,
aggression, and dominance. They usually overestimate their abilities and

Anti social personality disorder (ASPD) is described as someone who lacks moral or
ethical development is unable to follow correct methods of behavior, finds ways to
be deceitful, has no qualms in shamelessly manipulating others and tended to have
had behavioral problems as a child. According to the DSM 5 only individuals over
18 can be diagnosed with ASPD and the symptoms must have been shown prior to
15. ASPD can be confused with psychopathy and although they have some overlap
they are different. ASPD places heavy emphasis on observable behaviors such as
lying, getting into fights, or failing to honor financial obligations (Hooley, p.356).
With psychopathy, more emphasis is paid to personality characteristics such as
superficial charm, lack of empathy, and manipulativeness. It seems that no matter
how you look at it ASPD is affected by genes and the environment. The effects and
interactions of ASPD that was once seen as simply unidirectional family to child is
now being understood that the effects can be bi directional going both ways.
Individuals with dependent personality disorder (DPD) shows an extreme need to
be taken care of, which leads to clinging and submissive behavior (Hooley, p.365).
They are scared to be alone and usually build their lives around other people and
subordinate themselves to them. They tend to be

The revolution now sparked a beginning of an America without being under the rule

Another key benefit to NOC Ltd of using an overseas agent is that the company
gets the advantage of their extensive knowledge of NOC Ltd s target market.
However, there are risks associated with the use of agents as a method of entering
an overseas market such as conflicts of interest addressed by the agency theory
which is cited in Crum et al (2005, p16). Some agents might follow their own
strategies for example, by representing NOC Ltd s competitors. Another downfall of
using overseas agents is that NOC Ltd may lose control over its marketing and brand
image if the agent is not willing to build the company s brand. Houston (2005) goes
further to suggest trust issues as another risk therefore, meaning that it could be
difficult for Gemma to ensure that the foreign partner, in this case the agent, will
uphold its end of the agreement. As a result of entering an overseas market, NOC
Ltd might encounter foreign exchange risks as all their orders are in Euros
therefore, resulting in NOC Ltd s products being more expensive in the foreign
currency. This could mean that Gemma will not be able to negotiate payment
currency in the Eurozone as she has to exchange the Euros to Sterling. And if she is
losing money when exchanging, then her company could likely lose profits. Due to
the economic downturn , a lot of customers will not be able to buy too
Looking at Hugh Hefner s Portrait from Various Lenses
Essays
Cynthia Freeland argued that art communicates significance but there is no one
precise hypothetical approach that tells us how to best interpret a work of art.
Although there are better interpretations of a piece artwork than others, there is no
one way to interpret a single piece of art. The best interpretations understand the
background of the artist while also focusing on the style that the artist uses. The
emotions and ideas that come from looking at a piece of art work can come from the
artist s perspective of that of the viewer. When understanding the expressionist theory
we can look to Freeland s definition: expression theory holds that art communicates
something in the realm of feelings and emotions (Freeland, 155). In a broader... Show

The different expressions all give the same underlying look of envy. The girl
sitting on the ottoman is glaring at the other girls while the two girls on the bed are
engaging in conversation while showing wariness. The woman on the floor is
looking longingly at the camera as if she wants to say something but you do not
know what. Tolstoy s belief of an artist s chief job is to express and communicate
emotions to an audience (Freeland, 155) is conveyed when you initially look at the
Hugh Hefner portrait. Every viewer has their own interpretation, but most would
argue that when you look at this portrait you are able to see different expressions on
the five characters faces impacting the viewer with the same experience that Shay got
when photographing this image. Tolstoy and Freud both understand that art can
communicate emotions and feelings, while Tolstoy believes that art communicates
conscious emotions and feelings, Freud believes that art communicates unconscious
emotions and feelings.
Interpretations are very diverse and come from all different areas and when we
view Hugh Hefner, photographed by Art Shay, through Freud s perspective, we are
filled with emotions that are taken from past experiences. Freud believed that when
we look at a portrait or another art form, it ignites unconscious feelings ones the artist
[or the viewer] might not even admit to having (Freeland, 157). When looking at
Hugh Hefner in Freud s lenses, the different viewers
The Production of Sludge
Sludge could be produce in many ways, it can be from waste settlement to the dry
process. Brick is one of the flexible product that gain attention from researcher to be
incorporated with different type of sludge material such as waste water sludge, water
treatment sludge, marble sludge, effluent treatment plants (textile industry) sludgeand
arsenic contaminated sludge.
2.1Textile sludge
Jahagirdar et al (2013) discussed the reuse of textile mill sludge in burnt clay
bricks. Textile mill sludge was mixed together with different proportion (5% to
35%) as the raw material in this study. The brick was fired at 600 to 800ВєC and for
8, 16 and 24hours. Base on the result textile sludge can be added up to 15% as it
gives compressive strength above 3.5N/mm2 and the water absorption ratio is less
than 20%.
According to (Herek et al, 2012) investigated on incorporated the textile laundry
sludge into a brick showed that sludge can be incorporate until a concentration of
20% in terms of the mechanical properties. The compressive strength for the brick
was 3.73Mpa for the control brick and 4.62Mpa for the sludge brick. For the water
absorption result had shown that 15.73% and 10.10% for control brick and sludge
brick respectively. Besides, the produces brick are safe according to applied leaching

Susanna From A Sociopath Quotes
As Susanna lives her new life in McLean, She is feared of the unknown and tries to
turn away from the adventure; she starts to refuse her psychosis and ignores the
help she receives from Nurse Valerie and the other doctors. She believes that she is
not ill and does not need the help. She constantly compares herself to the other
patients. Susanna believes she is different from the other patients however she is
in a constant battle of wanting to be accepted but at the same time not to be looked
upon as a ill patient. [...] Do I have any bones? Do you think I have any bones [...] I
just want to see them, I just have to be sure (Kaysen 103). Susanna see s her life in
McLean and compares it to her old world. She knows that the people are different
in both sides of the world. She faces internal dilemmas of where to fit. Since, in both
worlds she does not feel accepted. The world with her parents she would not be

Susanna also has help from her companions, who are also patients at McLean. With
the help of: Georgina, a pathological liar and Susanna s roommate; Daisy, a
sexually abused girl with an eating disorder; and Polly, a burn victim with mental
wounds deeper than physical, they provide Susanna with a deeper perspective on
what real problems are outside of her head. Daisy, Georgina, and Polly also provide
Susanna with the kind of friendship Susanna needs to take on her destructive
thinking. Of course her companions are not the only aids Susanna encounters while
on her Hero s Journey, she also wouldn t be able to complete it without the help of a
mentor. For Susanna that mentor is Valerie, a nurse at McLean, who steers Susanna
on the right path to better herself and that isn t afraid to tell Susanna the truth, [...]
She said things like Cut that out and You re a bore . She said what she meant, just
as we did (Kaysen 84). Valerie mentors Susanna into the right path in order for her to

Mrs Mallard
Character Analysis of Story of an Hour Kate Chopin was brilliant at the art of short
stories, in that she could compress so much of a character s personality and growth
into a few pages. In her brief career, she published two novels and two short stories;
and some of them are included in the Complete Works. In Chopin s short story, The

and freedom, and has evolved into a stronger and more independent woman.
When Josephine told that Brently has died, Louise cries rather than senseless, as
she knows many other women would do. Her reaction shows that she is an
emotional, demonstrative, and impassioned woman. At the beginning of the story,
its focused on Mrs. Mallard s fragility. She is cast as a weak hearted woman, lonely.
In the text, Knowing that Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care
was taken to break to her as gently as possible the new of her husband s death,

Speech On Focus Puller
Think you ll be able to pull focus without measuring for it? Think again, because you
will not be able to do so.
If we were to ask you the reason why the 1st assistant camera (AC) is also known as
the Focus Puller , what would you say? It is because a follow focus puller knows
how to shoulder that single responsibility when it comes to keeping a subject in focus
which is so amazingly valued, that there s an entire job, in fact a career solely
devoted to it.
There s no denying the fact that focus pullers and camera assistants have a lot more
to do than just spinning a disc which is attached to a lens for 12 hours a day, but this
single act deserves the applause being the most remarkable contribution that one
makes to a film.

Measuring for focus should be the utmost goal because focus is set as well as
decided upon through distance. Without getting into lens optics, you re basically
giving instructions to the lens which light rays you want focused on the film or
sensor plane at a certain distance.
Do you think your eyes you can do wonders the way tools do? Never! Your eyes will
never be as precise as your tools. Well, if you strive hard, you can achieve an
exceptional level at guessing distances, but don t you forget that not a single person
will ever as exact as a dependable tape measure? Keep in mind that guessing the
distance and knowing the same are two different entities when it comes to pulling
focus.
Even until now it seems to be the most trusted way to keep a subject in focus. As
far as the back focus on a camera is set in the right way, you will not have a subject
standing at 8 feet out of focus when the lens is set to 8 feet. As simple as that!
Before the arrival of crisp monitors of digital cinema cameras and much enhanced
monitoring of contemporary film cameras, distance marks had a lot to do with how
effectively you pulled focus. With no monitor to support on, no peaking at all it was
your tape measure, your eyes, and last but certainly not least, the
Victorian School Facts For Children

Victorian Education
Until the Victorian era, schools were not only inaccessible to many children but also
very unsafe and inadequate. In the article Victorian School Facts For Children, it
states that It wasn t until the Victorian era that these were improved considerably
and available for all children rich and poor. Due to social classes in England, the
children who were eligible to attend school were those who descend from a family of
wealth. Children of wealth, males to be more specific, initially started their public
education after the age of ten and up until then they were home schooled . As for
females, they were educated at home if their parents condoned it because in the
Victorian Society it was believed that women only needed to learn how to be a
housewife and tend to her husband. It was said to be a Man s world and there
would be no need for women to have any form of education other than what the
Victorian Society believed. For those who were poor male or female, they didn t
have a choice to attend school because of their parents financial situation, social class,
and value.
Social class and financial situation played a big role in determining whether or not a
child received an education in the Victorian Society. The reason behind this was
because education wasn t free until the Education Act which helped schools receive
assistance through government grants. This information can be found in B. Malheiro

Likewise, Teddy also has very high status and power as he is the ruler of the
Kingdom of Upalia. He is Majesty King Theodore I, resplendent in the red and
black of a generalissimo where he lives in a winter place in Theodoresburg, capital
of the Kingdom of Upalia (Nowlan 130). Like Miss Strangeworth, Teddy takes his
role very seriously. Not only does he use complex military words such as
generalissimo , he also takes awhile to make his decisions. While he is eating dinner,
Teddy contemplated his choice, pondering on the tactics that he needs to use in
relieving the siege of the fort by the river (Nowlan 131). Teddy weighs the pros and
cons and thinks about what might happen, If the Upalian army crossed the Tabelian
marches, they might succeed in encircling the Danovans. On the other hand, if they
scaled the Theodoran mountains ... [sic] (Nowlan 131). He plans careful and
thoughtful while making decisions. With this knowledge and power, both Miss
Strangeworth and Teddy take their roles in the town very seriously.
In contrast to Miss Strangeworth and Teddy s power and status in their towns, the
respect and value of voice in their own lives are unsimilar. Miss Strangeworth is
highly respected in her life, as she is quite old and carries wisdom. Everyone
knows who she is and turns to wave while she is on her morning walk to the store.
When she comes to the grocery store, half a dozen people turn away from the shelves

Mortality In Blade Runner
Some things can be described as immortal; their appeal spans beyond the decades
and reaches out to audiences from different eras and ages, while others fade with
changing times and ideals. Blade Runner, a 1982 science fiction film that revolves
around the idea of mortality, could be classified as immortal itself; and timeless too
is the chess game between Adolf Anderssen and Lionel Kieseritzky that was dubbed
the Immortal Game, which, to some extent, was the chess game that the one in the
movie was modelled off. Blade Runneruses the game between Sebastian and Tyrell as
well as its parallels in other parts of the movie, to explore the characteristics of
humans. The chess scenes highlight humanfallibilities: the fear of losing something

Chess used to be a game played primarily between a father and son; the father
would train the son, and then they would play against each other. This represents

Tyrell is also the one who gave Batty his intelligence. As Tyrell walks toward the

  • 1. Intellectual Property Essay Crafting an essay on the subject of intellectual property is no easy task. The complexity of the topic stems from the intricate web of legal, ethical, and economic considerations surrounding intellectual property rights. Tackling this subject requires a deep understanding of various aspects, including copyright, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. The challenge lies in navigating through the nuanced legal frameworks that govern intellectual property, which vary across different jurisdictions. This necessitates extensive research to grasp the historical evolution of intellectual property laws and their impact on innovation and creativity. Furthermore, addressing the ethical dimensions adds another layer of difficulty. Balancing the rights of creators and the public interest, while considering issues like piracy and counterfeiting, demands a thoughtful and well-argued analysis. The economic implications of intellectual property also contribute to the complexity. Assessing the role of intellectual property in fostering innovation, promoting competition, and ensuring fair compensation for creators involves delving into economic theories and market dynamics. In addition, synthesizing diverse viewpoints on the topic requires critical thinking and the ability to present a coherent and well-supported argument. Striking a balance between acknowledging the need for intellectual property protection and recognizing concerns about its potential stifling effects on innovation adds an extra layer of intricacy to the essay. In conclusion, writing an essay on intellectual property requires a multifaceted approach, combining legal, ethical, and economic perspectives. It demands meticulous research, critical analysis, and effective communication skills to navigate the complexities inherent in the topic. If you find yourself struggling with such assignments, remember that assistance is available. • 2. The Faults in The Affordable Care Act Essays Many of today s arguments within the American government have to do with health care. The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare or The ACA, has been effective since March 23, 2010. Most of Obamacare s major provisions, such as mandated individual coverage, just took effect at the beginning of 2014. Democrats support the health care reform while a majority of republicans are entirely against it. On paper the health care reform looks good, but there are a lot of things that could potentially hurt the American population. Our founding fathers never had a debate over healthcare and frankly I don t think it should be a topic of discussion today. The way healthcare has worked in the past is still working today and I see no reason to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Health Care Conscience Rights Act, or HCCRA, would be a huge overhaul to the Affordable Care Act as a whole. One of the major changes being the freedom to choose and not be taxed for not wanting to be covered. Unfortunately this bill has yet to get pass it s committee and the future of it seems quite dim. As of now if you indeed choose not to enroll in Obamacare and do not pay your fines the fee will be taken out of your income tax return by the IRS. After all, if nobody enrolls Obamacare will fail. In order to avoid this they made it mandatory and gave the IRS the power to take money from Americans in order to finance something that half of them would rather not be a part of. Not only is this mandate unconstitutional, it will fail and ultimately hurt our country in the end. Obamacare also states that all employers with more than 50 full time workers must provide affordable health insurance or face a fee of up to 2,000 dollars for every full time employee receiving a tax credit minus 30. What is a tax credit? Say, Bob for example, decides that his employer doesn t offer coverage that fits his personal needs. Bob can go to an exchange and find more affordable coverage that actually covers what he needs it to. The benefit to bob is that he gets coverage and he would also get a tax cut for finding the appropriate coverage for him, hence the tax credit. The bad thing is that now the company faces the penalty for not

Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Working in a group setting was completely undesirable for me; as I would much rather work on my own. With an introverted personality, I understand my need for independent thinking. I am only able to concentrate in quite, personalized settings because of easy distractions. Similarly, organization is a key element to my unique learning style. After taking the Personality Spectrum (Carter, Bishop, Kravits, 2002) assessment, I have become even more aware of my compatibility with structured learning environments. In class, I need information to be presented in an easy but detailed fashion. I prefer outlines style formats over summaries of information. It is also essential that I know what is expected with academics and assignments. This knowledge insures confidence in my academic ability and allows me to set extra goals when needed. With respect to my stronger skills, there are still underdeveloped areas of learning which I would like to improve on. Reading, for example, is my biggest struggle. I have a significant amount of trouble remembering and comprehending what I read. This has ultimately caused my lack of interest in this type of learning. I also struggle with lecture style environments, which is again due to my deficient ability to retain information in this type of setting. While my new found academic goals reflect my desire for personal achievement,

At the end of it all, Alex went through the experiment and just like everything else has side effects, Alex went through the experiment s effect with the consequences of the actions that send him there in the first place. Apart from the language being hard to understand, clockwork orange is a very interesting book. I honestly didn t know what to expect when before I started reading this book. But by reading this book, it had me asking a lot of questions as such what was the government thinking putting Alex through that experiment, and why do they want to change someone who did not ask for their help to change at the first place. Its main contribution is the model and solution of the second phase: the problem of scheduling visits to customers. We have designed an experiment to validate the proposed solution method using information drawn from the real world problem and have adapted relevant instances from the literature. The structure of the real world problem is as follows. The company has a set of points of sale for a product that must be visited every month at a frequency determined by its sales volume by one of the nine company trucks travelling from a central depot to which they must return after their journey. As Interest Fades As Interest Fades in the Humanities, Colleges Worry: Reaction to Lewin, Tamar Tamar Lewin, a national reporter for The New York Times, in her article titled, As Interest Fades in the Humanities, Colleges Worry, which was posted on October 30, 2013, sheds light on the fading interest in the humanities amongst student. This is especially true for those belonging to Stanford University. Many scholars alongside Lewin, are now asking why this trend is occurring. As stated in the article, Stanford is known for its reputation in technology, and as years pass, students are beginning to transition from the humanities to majors belonging in the sciences. The film tells the stories of some of the victims of this atrocity, which occurred after the fall of Goma to M23 rebels in the eastern Congo. The documentary, which received an Oscar nomination for best documentary short, uses a very dramatic and enchanting method to bring in its audience and tell the story of injustice. Most businesses do not get a practice round to see if they will make it in the business world as we did before we actually began and get a clean slate to try again. In reality, if we would have had a failed business venture, it would have resulted in a huge loss and we would have learned from our mistakes and had to invest more money on another attempt. Luckily, that was not the case, and we were able to make more analyzed decisions and complete the simulation quite successfully. Started by Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, the Great Awakening was most commonly understood to have its greatest religious impact between the 1730s and 1740s. American colonists had begun to become more devoted to various religions, which resulted in the toleration of many of them. Another cause of this revival dated back to the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries when a German movement, called Pietism, emphasized closely distinct personal connections with God (Gullotta, 2016). This movement spread as a result British, German, Scottish, Scotch Irish immigration that then influenced British and Dutch religion(Gullotta, 2016). According to the DSM 5 only individuals over 18 can be diagnosed with ASPD and the symptoms must have been shown prior to 15. ASPD can be confused with psychopathy and although they have some overlap they are different. ASPD places heavy emphasis on observable behaviors such as lying, getting into fights, or failing to honor financial obligations (Hooley, p.356). With psychopathy, more emphasis is paid to personality characteristics such as superficial charm, lack of empathy, and manipulativeness. It seems that no matter how you look at it ASPD is affected by genes and the environment. The emotions and ideas that come from looking at a piece of art work can come from the artist s perspective of that of the viewer. Victorian School Facts For Children Michael Ramirez English 8 Period:5 Victorian Education Until the Victorian era, schools were not only inaccessible to many children but also very unsafe and inadequate. In the article Victorian School Facts For Children, it states that It wasn t until the Victorian era that these were improved considerably and available for all children rich and poor. Due to social classes in England, the children who were eligible to attend school were those who descend from a family of wealth. Children of wealth, males to be more specific, initially started their public education after the age of ten and up until then they were home schooled . As for females, they were educated at home if their parents condoned it because in the Victorian Society it was believed that women only needed to learn how to be a housewife and tend to her husband. It was said to be a Man s world and there would be no need for women to have any form of education other than what the Victorian Society believed. For those who were poor male or female, they didn t have a choice to attend school because of their parents financial situation, social class, and value. Social class and financial situation played a big role in determining whether or not a child received an education in the Victorian Society. The reason behind this was because education wasn t free until the Education Act which helped schools receive assistance through government grants. This information can be found in B.
