FACTS
Egypt was called the gift of Nile.
The kings of Egypt were known as ‘pharaohs’.
The script of the Egyptians is known as Hieroglyphics meaning “The Holy Script”.
In Egypt monuments were built in memory of their king. They were known as pyramids.
Dead bodies of the kings and members of the king royal family kept as mummies.
The script used for writing down records is known as Hieroglyphics.

EGYPTIAN CIVILIZATION
To the west of Egypt lies vast Sahara desert and to the East lies
Namibian desert. The rise and fall of the Egyptian civilization were
according to the fluctuation in the flooding of the Nile River. During
floods the Nile deposited black and fertile alluvial soil on the banks
of the river. Agriculture products of this area became the basic
factor of the Egyptian civilization .So Egypt was called the Gift of
the Nile.
