• Yungblud is my main inspiration for the music video because I like
how all his videos are creepy and unsettling. Most of his videos look
quite basic and simple or very random at first but if you listen to the
song carefully you can see there is always a deeper meaning to what
is happening in the video that people might not pick up on straight
away. I love the way he always tries to bring light to serious topics
that don’t get talked about enough especially mental health and what
it really feels like to struggle with it.

• Carols daughter only has one video that’s out so far, but I really like
how she uses the teddys and doll heads that are supposed to be cute
kids toys as a way to make the video creepy it's kind of like she is
putting an end to her innocence by using these items as props.
• I like Billie Eilish's video for when the party's over because it's very
simple with not a lot going on, but there is still a bit of a narrative to
it. I like the meaning behind the black stuff dripping from her eyes
because it's resembling how she is emotionally drained from the
relationship she's in.

• Bring Me The Horizon was the other main influence I had for the
video specifically the "Teardrops" and "parasites eve" music videos. I
loved the narrative in the "teardrops" video It depicts what
depression/anxiety feel like with the drowning and how people try
and cope with it. I like the "parasites eve" video because of the trippy
visuals and the use of colour, the whole video is very dark, but they
use bright flashing colours to give the video a post apocalyptic effect.

9. Inspiration – mood board, aesthetic

• I am aiming for a dark gothic, creepy theme for my music video so this
is why all the pictures I chose for my mood board are quite dark and
some are slightly gory.
• I used some pictures of creepy bears because I think they look really
cool and I want to include something like that in my video.
• I chose quite a few pictures of people with masks on because the
masks make everything look a lot spookier which is the aesthetic I am
going for.

• The first two drawings are how I imagined the actress in the video to
be feeling especially at the start of the video she would feel kind of
deflated and life less/emotion less. The second picture is a creepier
version of how I imagine one of the scenes I want to include in the
video is going to look, I feel like both of the art Pices conveys how it
feels to be emotionally numb.
• The last picture is a collage I made that I think conveys the same type
of dark theme I want to have in my music video, and it is also very
similar to the colour scheme I want to use. The collage also focuses
on loneliness which is going to be part of the narrative of the music
video.
