2. INTRODUCTION
From the information I have gathered from my initial
research, unlike a traditional screenplay, music video
script should list visuals on one half of the page, with
audio, FX, and lyrics on the other.
In this presentation I am going to use the lyrics provided
to me by the band and whilst listening to the song I will
list all the elements that I am planning to incorporate in
this music video.
I am going to create a word file as it best fits for multi-
ple-column script with three columns: time, audio and
visuals.
3. LYRICS Verse 1
swimming in the thunderstorm
the waters cool yet its warm
i go dancing and im cold
the waves do what theyre told
screaming at a broken glass
clouds are closing in fast
the things i barely grasp
are all lost in a gasp
Chorus
deep blue thunder
exposing all my wonders
flashing neon colours
but you always make me crumble
and why do i stutter
spit my words thru a funnel
id rather throw you in the gutter
and leave you for another
Verse 2
did you lie to be kind
and if i ever was blind
were your eyes open wide
closed lips on mine
and i expected so much
that i forgot how to feel your touch
that i forgot how to judge
that now
everything broke apart
Chorus
deep blue thunder
exposing all my wonders
flashing neon colours
but you always make me crumble
and why do i stutter
spit my words thru a funnel
id rather throw you in the gutter
and leave you for another
5. SCRIPTVERSION 1.EVALUATION
After I looked at a script and imagined the music video in my head I was slightly underwhelmed,
so were my audience’s feedback. Verdict: too repetative and bland. And I know exactly the reason
for this, two of them to be precise. I made the script too performsative based for a concept orient-
ed music video by adding so many performace bits in it, I have to replace a fraction of them with
shots of people moving or some buildings/objects that fit into the theme. The other reason is
waiting one part of the music video for it to change into lighter scenes, naturallly-lit ones for the
concept’s sake, contrast. Because first minute and a half the video is entirely dark it loses all the
details and might seem mushy and bland, that is why I am going to have some scenes dark and
some bright and they will frequently change to keep the interest of the audience going. I am also
going to incorporate more shots into the video to have more cuts between them and keep the dy-
namic relatively fast. I also need to add some transitions to make the video more technologically
advanced and for different shots to blend into each other nicely.

FINALSCRIPT
7. FINALSCRIPT.EVALUATION
I have added a few more shots to better relate to the concept of contrast, made a few adjustmnets
to the timing issues in the first version. The verse one now does not contain any performance
shots. Light/dark contrast is better achieved through constant change of lighting in the music
video, which I incorporated into the script. I have added a few fade-ins and outs for aforemen-
tioned reasons. Cuts between scenes are now clearly identified and intensified by their amount,
dynamic of the video is better comparing to the previous version. And I made sure that every
band member gets enough screen time in the video beacuse they all contribute to the sound.
