2. INTRODUCTION
I carried out market research on an online
questionnaire website “SurveySparrow”.

my survey to a diverse group of audiences
of different ages and lifestyles in order to
gather diverse range of
opinions. Even though my target
audience are young adults, I chose to seek
opinions of older people as well due to
them growing up in the 90-00’s, when
this particular genre was at it’s peak. I
have interviewed younger sample as well
to figure out how relative this genre and
music video style is to modern youth.
By being more informed about audience’s
preferences I will be able to broaden the ap-
peal of my music video to wider audiences.
My aim for this task is to analyze the infor-
mation in order to
succesfully promote, distribute and exhibit
my short film to my target market and be-
yond.

4. I have sent out my questionnaire to 10 of my
acquaintances of different age, gender and
interests. Luckily, they have all completed it
and now I can get to analyzing the results.

15. The data that I have collected with this
questionnaire is extremely helpful for my
preproduction process.
I found out that not many people are fond of
VFX usage in music videos and it should be
utilized in action movie productions rather.
I also realized that turns out a lot of people
admire music videos more when they are not
direct word by word represantations of the
lyrics but rather follow their general context.
One of the more unfortunate findings is that
people rarely purchase a song after viwing
it’s music video, so I will have to figure out a
way to inform my client of this fact.
One of the revelations has also been the
emerging popularity of TikTok as a platform
for posting music videos. I did soem research
and found out why: their recent update is
allowing users to uploas videos up to 5 min-
utes in length, which is an average length of
a music video.
