There are a few key aspects of dairy farming that need to be monitored carefully or result in
unwanted outcomes. This includes the voltage on the fences around the farm, the temperature of the
milk that is in the vat and the activity of the water pump. A constant monitoring system of these
three important farming aspects could improve farm profitability. A mobile phone application
will be designed to incorporate monitoring of these three activities. If the fences do not have the
required voltage on them this can result in animals escaping and injuring themselves. This can be
difficult to monitor as currently to do this you are required to be on the farm using a fence tester.
The milk temperature is required to be below 7 degrees Celsius within 3 hours by the milk
company to ensure it is safe for human consumption. This is done through using chiller machines
as if the milk does not reach this temperature in time the entire vat full of milk must be disposed of
which causes a loss of income for the

Historical Cost and Fair Value
Abstract
This paper is written for the accounting theory course as a course project.
This paper discusses the differences between the historical cost accounting approach and the fair
value accounting approach. The discussion will focus on the debate on using which accounting
approach. We begin by stating the definitions of both concepts and discussing them thoroughly, then
we state the main advantages of the two approaches followed by comparison between them.
The last section of this paper discusses the disadvantages of each approach, including the main
criticism points against them.
In the end, we draw a conclusion on the best approach to be used in the Accounting profession
based on the previous discussion.
Introduction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When fair values are estimated using unadjusted or adjusted market prices, they are referred to
as mark to market values. If market prices for the same or similar positions are not available,
then firms must estimate fair values using valuation models. FAS 157 generally requires these
models to be applied using observable market inputs (such as interest rates and yield curves that
are observable at commonly quoted intervals) when they are available and unobservable firm
supplied inputs (such as expected cash flows developed using the firm s own data) otherwise.
When fair values are estimated using valuation models, they are referred to as mark to model values.
Advantages of Historical Cost
Supporters of Historical Cost Accounting argue that this method has several advantages that make
it popular. Some advantages are discussed below. * Historical cost is based on actual, not merely
possible, transactions. It is the acquisition price of the assets. The managers only have to record all
the assets and liabilities at their acquisition price. Hence they are measured and reported
objectively. Historical cost is therefore basically verifiable. Thus, this minimizes the risk of
manipulation of figures by the managers. * Historical cost has survived the test of time. Most users
of accounting data believe that accounting income is useful and that it constitutes a determinant of
the practices and thought patterns of decision makers. * Historical cost is an easier

Most Basic Turn In Ballet
The most basic turn in ballet is the pirouette, which is a turn around a vertical axis with one
supporting foot on the floor. The pirouette is a highly complex and highly organized skill that
involves the simultaneous coordination of the head, arms, trunk, knees, and feet (Denari Correa,
2013). There are three stages of a pirouette: the preparation, turn, and landing.
Preparation
The position and movements preceding the actual turn in the pirouette is called the preparation. To
start, place your feet in fourth position, in which the left foot is in front of the right with slightly
more than one foot in between the two feet. According to one study, successful turns were executed
from approximately 40% of the dancer s leg length in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Spotting involves choosing one point at which to direct your focus while you turn. As you turn,
keep your focus on that one spot and, when you can t look at it any longer, whip your head around
and find the spot again. The main purpose of spotting is to prevent dizziness, since research has
shown that it does not affect the amount of turns generated. The results from a study suggest that
spotting has a negligible effect in generating angular momentum during the double support phase of
a pirouette. Another source concurred that the rotational momentum of a turn is a quantity, and that
the total rotational momentum of the body can only change if external torque acts on the body.
Thus, there is no way that changes in body position alone, which occurs when a dancer spots their
head, can change the total rotational momentum (Laws Sugano,

Love, And Platotic Aspects Of Love By William Shakespeare
During the English Renaissance, there was a bloom of literature, fueled by the advent of the
printing press and the patronage of the nobility. Beginning with Petrarch s popularization of the
Italian form, the sonnet became the English mainstay for portrayals of love. The progression of the
Renaissance saw the experience of lovedetailed in many different ways through form, allegory,
allusion, and metaphor. The fashioning of the love object in sonnets varies from writer to
writer and progresses from an outward, ethereal love to an inward love, rooted in reality as the
centuries progressed. Petrarchan love objects are larger than life holy in nature, whilst anti
Petrarchan loves are human and flawed. Poets of this time grappled with the Platonic
conventions of love: What does love mean on the grand scale? What constitutes the ideal
experience? Is love a reflection of the holy, or is it a reflection of our most base human qualities?
Each poet crafted their image of the love object in varying ways: Francesco Petrarch wrote an
idol, Edmund Spenser wrote a genuine, yet ideal woman, William Shakespeare catered to harsh
realism, and Lady Mary Wroth wrote of a stormy, imperfect lover.
Petrarch is the father of the sonnet and his fashioning of Laura in his vast sonnet cycle set the first
bar for portrayals of the beloved in English Renaissance literature. As a member of the clergy and a
stringent adherent to the church, Petrarch found his principles and devotion shaken when he beheld

Jones Blair Company Case Analysis
Strategic Issues and Problems:
The Jones Blair Company competes in a 50 county area throughout Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico,
and Louisiana. Their major business and financial center is located in eleven county Dallas Fort
Worth metropolitan areas. Jones Blair Company is a privately held corporation that produces and
markets paint under the Jones Blair brand name. A large portion of the maturing paint industry, $10
billion, is established from architectural coatings and the annual growth rate is expected to equal
that of general inflation in the coming years. Dollar sales have increased at an ... Show more content

Brand image is important to consumers and television ads are a great way to get their name out.
Most of this population is aware of this product and only some of this population would purchase
it. c) Hire an additional sales representative
Hiring an additional sales representative will allow Jones Blair to focus on new markets. These
markets should be outside of the DFW area and allow for new cities and states to recognize Jones
Blair. d) Do Nothing (Status Quo)
Since Jones Blair has continually seen profits each year; they should maintain their current
marketing objectives and do nothing. Jones Blair has done an excellent job of this in the past by
watching the margins and controlling costs. By doing nothing, the company will not need to spend
any additional money. e)
Alternative Recommendations a.) Cut price by 20%
In 2004 architectural product sales volume was $12,000,000. Jones Blair has a current net profit of
$1.14 million, and to stay profitable it must maintain this amount.
$12,000,000*.35= $4,200,000
If Jones Blair reduced its price by 20% the contribution margin will drop to 15%.
($12,000,000)*.15 = ($1,800,000)
If the company drops the price by 20% the company will see a 33% increase in sales.
($1,800,000 * .33) =$4,200,000 ($594,000)
STRENGTHS: Jones Blair will sell more products, because it will be able to compete with its
competitors in

Hermione Granger
The most influential book I have ever read was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K.
Rowling. This book was the most impactful book I have read because of all of the people, fantasy
worlds, and adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to learn about a world filled with brave
souls and passionate, kind people. Through all the struggles Harry Potterand his friends, Ron
Weasley and Hermione Granger, faced they stayed loyal to each other and were courageous through
all the difficult predicaments. Additionally, many characters J.K. Rowling created are great role
models to all. An especially significant role model is the character Hermione Granger because of
her brilliant and logical thinking skills in pressured situations. Hermione taught

Cultural Anthropology And Human Experience By Katherine...
Anthropology is split into four different sections; cultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology,
archeology, and biological anthropology. If I were to favor one branch of anthropology, over the
others, it would have to be cultural anthropology. Although, it was hard to make the decision of
which branch I favored the most, I chose cultural anthropologybecause it gives us a greater
understanding of why we are the way we are. Also, why others are the way they are.
Cultural Anthropologists study living people, as Katherine A. Dettwyler states in her book Cultural
Anthropology Human Experience, that cultural archeologists study what humans do, why they do
it , and what the consequences are. As a person who constantly analyzes every

Calliope In Greek Mythology
Calliope was a muse from the groupe called ВЁThe MusesВЁ the goddesses of music, song, and

Muses. In her time she had kids with the chief god of war Ares and 4 kids with him called

The moral idea of this story is that you should pray for calliope because she can change your way

Iran Contra Affair Violations
Policy violations, propriety, and violations of the law...While President Reagan and his
administration may have had good intentions, the actions undertaken by certain individuals while
carrying out the operations mentioned above, did in fact, violate laws and executive orders, and as
a result, put the offenders in direct conflict with the rule of law. The secret arms sales to Iran
violated not only the longstanding expressed United States policy prohibiting negotiations for the
release of hostages but also the Arms Export Control Act of 1976, which prohibits the transfer of
arms to nations that support international terrorism (The New York Times on the Web, 1994). In

One issue at hand, was the question of whether or not the existing arms embargo would push Iran to
turn to the Soviets for weapons and therefore, encapsulate themselves under Soviet influence. It was
then decided that America would then facilitate the sale arms to Iran with the hopes of establishing
a relationship, thereby steering Iran away from Soviet influence and placing them back within the
American influence (Kornbluh, 1993). A second component was the impending issue of securing
the release of the American hostages being held in Lebanon. It was hoped that better relations with
Iran could lead to securing the release of the hostages (Kornbluh, 1993). The third and final part of
this enterprise was funneling a portion of the profits from the Iranian arms sales to the communist
opposed Contra militants in Nicaragua (Wikipedia,

My schoolhas always felt like a family; wither you were faculty, student, or visitor, you always

veteran teachers that love their job. In respects to the elementary teachers, they stay late and give
their students 100% of them and it shows. Children are smiling and eager to get to class. The
walls are filled with student lead projects. I can identify the internal leaders who are outspoken
and who resolve issues. There is 5th grade teacher who is team leader and she is amazing. If a
problem arises instead of complaining she goes to her team and creates a solution. In 5th grade the
team is so influential due to the fact they work together so well. They plan together and share ideas.

Sony is one of the largest consumer electronics manufacturers in the world. It has introduced
various high quality products such as the Play Station series product line. However, Sony has not
managed to have a positive net income and has faced six net loss in the last seven years. Aiming
for a turning a round, Sony declares a goal of $4.8 million of operating profit in the fiscal year 2017
and targets a 10% return on equity (the Economist, 2015). Sony s business strategy to is to

dollar, and the Euro (Griffin Consulting Group, 2012). Although the economic landscape is
changing for Sony, the company has potential to grow through its reorganizing activities.
Problem Statement
Sony must reposition its growth driven and stable profit generator sectors in their markets to
increase its audience, achieve sales growth, profit expansion and maximization, and capture market
shares.
Alternative Solutions
To regain some of its market share in its growth driven and stable profit generators sectors, Sony
can reposition its competition in the minds of consumers. For instance, Sony can use comparative
advertising to demonstrate that its brands are superior to its competitors. In this situation, Sony can
attempt to alter the portrayed image of its competitor, Nintendo, and position its PlayStation game
console as the better quality product (Positioning(marketing), n.d).
Sony can also differentiate themselves in the market by employing a consumer focused positioning
strategy. A consumer focused positioning strategy revolves around consumers. This strategy can be
tailor made to the audience by using social media, apps, and other online platforms to engage,
access, and directly communicate with consumers (Positioning(marketing), n.d.). Being consumer
focused is in line with Sony s new planning

The Liberties, Ideologies, And Effects Of Hacktivism
This paper discusses the liberties, ideologies, and effects of hacktivism. Hacktivism, is the
combination of hacking and activism, and is where a hacker creates a technology centered
disturbance with a political or social motive. Unlawful hackers typically cause cyber damage for
amusement, or monetary gain. While traditional hackers are perceived as criminals, hacktivists are
a transgressive group. Cyberterrorism is the most extreme version of hacking, where the goal is to
cause permanent damage. There are benefits to hacktivismsuch as, anyone can log on and share
their opinion, regardless of their location or position. However, some forms of hacktivism may be
closer to cyberterrorism, where there may be a malicious intent. Controversy... Show more content

In reality, hackers are a variety of people, with a range of reasons for what they do. Hacking began
in the late seventies and early eighties out of curiosity. Quickly, people began to realize the potential
for destruction through cyber attacks. From 2008 to 2012, the hacktivist group Anonymous, became
prevalent, because pretty much any amateur with a cause what kind of cause could join
Anonymous.. But after several group figureheads were arrested, the general public was deterred
from participating this hacktivist group.
From 2012 to the present, the door opened for hacktivist specialists beyond Anonymous, to cause
destruction. Hacktivism has shifted from large amounts of amateurs causing minimal damage, to
small amounts of hacking specialists causing tremendous amounts of damage. Due to the fact
that the Internet is largely privatized, it is very hard for hacktivists to get their point across to a
large number of people without breaking the law. So, a free speech space needs to be established
online to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak their mind on a digital sidewalk. The
extreme side of hacktivism is cyberterrorism. Terrorist groups like ISIS have begun to hire
specialists to wage cyberwar for their religious and political gain. The Internet battlefield has
become just as important as a physical one.
However, not all hackers are terrorists, criminals, or even hacktivists. Some hackers take up

The And The Righteous Sufferer
Job and the Righteous Sufferer The question Why do bad things happen to good people? has most
likely been around for a very long time. It will always stay relevant as long as there are natural
disasters killing so many people and making others suffer, many of them being innocent. There is no
common factor found among all people that suffer great physical and emotional pain. It happens to
people of all religions, ethnicities, and morality. Sufferingdoes not seek out the guilty, it is just a
part of life. Bad things happen to good people, because bad things happen to all people, so even
the righteous can suffer, which is seen in The Poem of the Righteous Sufferer, and The Book of Job.

He simply will never know their reasoning or their intention of allowing earthly events to unfold
the way that they do (RS II:36 37). He says he does not understand the people who praise gods

happen instantly (RS II:44 47). The speaker questions these hypocritical people, and seems to
have a better grasp on the true nature of the gods than the average person. He knows that
humans cannot understand the gods, and never will. Much of the same can be said about Job,
the book s eponymous character. Like Shubshi meshre Shakkan, he is a righteous man. God
goes as far as to call him a blameless and upright man and says he is a one of a kind worshipper
(Job 1:8). He also endures great suffering, which all came as the result of Satan questioning if
Job s worshipping was true and pure (Job 1:10 11). God takes Satan up on this bet and allows
him to cause make Job s life miserable (Job 1:12). At first, Job stays a righteous man, but
eventually he breaks down and curses his birth (Job 3). Job becomes exactly the type of person
that Shubshi meshre Shakkan was talking about (someone who questions God in bad times), and
his friend Eliphaz tells him that. He says, Your words have supported those who were stumbling,
and you have made firm the feeble knees. But now it has come to you, and you are impatient, (Job
4:4 5). Eliphaz also believes Job s suffering is a direct

Title IX Case Study

Title IX, enacted in 1972, requires all entities receiving federal funds to provide equal opportunities
to both genders. A Title IX complaint was filed against Chico Unified, and the OCR made several
allegations of non compliance.
Title IX is broken into three areas (participation, financial assistance, and treatment of athletes). The
OCR did not allege non compliance pertaining financial assistance, as Chico does not offer athletic
scholarships. Conversely, The OCR made several allegations under the areas of participation and
treatment of athletes. Below the allegations are separated into the two categories, followed by the
OCR s reasoning, and concluding with strategies to become compliant.

To prove compliance by prong three, a school must conduct viable surveys of all female students. In
2005, the Bush administration determined that unanswered emails can be considered as a lack of
interest. However, the OCR values a survey with high participation rates, compared to low
(NIAAA, p.112 114, 2011).
Response Strategies/Best Practices
An adequate survey must be conducted. An adequate survey requires impartially worded questions,
and a high participation percentage.
Suggest finding a time to conduct the survey in person, as opposed to emailing a survey.
Suggest raising the number of roster spots on girls teams. For example, all girls basketball rosters
should have 15 athletes.
Efforts should be made to add one girl team sport. The sport should be determined based upon both
survey results and the practicality of adding the sport. Practicality should be determined by ability
to compete, ability to obtain resources and hire coaches, and the ability to maintain a program long
term.
Treatment of athletes
Allegations:
Disparity in the quality of facilities for boys and girls teams. The OCR found that the softball field
is below the quality of the baseball field.

Covenant Village Of Cromwell Is A Retirement Community Essay
Introduction
Covenant Village of Cromwell is a retirement community that is a subsidiary of Covenant Village
Retirement Communities, which hosts fourteen retirement locations throughout the United States.
The location I worked for has several departments, such as nursing, independent living,
housekeeping, and dining services. It houses hundreds of residents in three main categories:
independent living, semi independent living, and assisted living. There are approximately 300 staff
members that work across campus in a variety of roles, such as nursing, maintenance, activities,
housekeeping, and aides. I worked within dining services, where there were about 50 staff members
with two main dining rooms on campus. The dining rooms were responsible for providing meals to
the residents: either breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on each resident s individual needs. In
assisted living, the main dining room was named Pineview, and in semi independent living, the
dining room was referred to as the Village. There were two dining room managers and four floor
supervisors, so each side and one manager and two supervisors. Within the kitchens, there were
three different divisions, which were the cooks, the wait staff, and the utility staff. Within my
division, wait staff, there were also trainers, who were tasked with watching over and training new
staff. There were also three different roles within wait staff, including the hosts, the runners, and the

Alopecia Areata
The challenges of elementary, middle, and high school accumulate and progress through the years.
One of them being social status and appearance. I for one, had fallen to the bottom of the totem
pole. I was considered a bulls eye, targeted by those that wished to shower me with arrows in the
form of harsh words and taunts. I was an outcast, rejected from the norm. Although laborious, I
climbed up the totem thanks to achieve strength and confidence. At the time of raging hormones
and every student is painstakingly attempting to find their calling; it comes effortless for some,
however not so much for others. In the fifth grade I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease

I grew tired of being homely, of the arrows, of being punctured with words that were, supposedly,
meant to leave me unharmed. The condensed circle of friends and family I developed, constantly
insisted that I am no less than an extraordinary human being. They continued the pestering, yet I
stood unyielding convinced I would never be better than the dirt that s walked on. It must have
been their persistence that led to the realization: beautiful things grow within the dirt, relying on its
nutrients to grow strong and great. I was more valuable as a human than a target, yet instead, a
fighter. In order to win against the enemies, to no longer be a victim, I needed to first fight the
battle within my own mind before progressing to tackle outer defenses. Confidence has been the
inflexible trait to fix, rather than the higher resilient features such as activeness or originality. In
time, the laborious work and constant battles paid off. I had learned to have my own confidence,
trust myself, and notice an inner beauty, despite the fact it had taken an autoimmune disease,

Tsar Nicholas s The Great War
Introduction Tsar Nicholas II s reign was turbulent, seeing wars, revolutions, and a general sense
of displeasure from the people and the government. Intellectuals were no longer content with
living under an autocracy and believed that the Russian government was archaic and inefficient.
Peasants spoke out against their poor living and working conditions. By 1917, Nicholas reign
was over and the Romanov family was no longer in power. One of the leading causes of the
Romanov downfall was Nicholas himself. Although the situation in which he inherited the
throne were not ideal, his character and method of dealing with state affairs did not help. His
personality affected his leadership style, making his leadership style an unpopular one. Even his
most trusted advisors and friends came second to Nicholas desire to uphold autocracy in Russia.
The influence of Pyotr Stolypin and Sergei Witte, two of Nicholas senior officials, faded as
Nicholas thought they hindered his supreme autocracy. Nicholas character was also evident in the
Great War. His many stubborn decisions, despite being constantly advised against them, caused
Russia much grief during and after the war. Nicholas wife Alexandra influenced many of these
decisions and other decisions on state affairs. Nicholas personality allowed Alexandra to have a
large impact on his reign. This further gave Grigori Rasputin a large political presence in Russia
as well. Nicholas s personality was one of the factors that

What Is The Role Of Kabuki
Kabuki (жЊи€
ћдјЋ) presents one of the most popular forms of traditional theatre in Japan with
roots tracing back to the Edo Period. The root of the word kabuki presents its definition clearly as it
contains three Chinese characters: ka means song, bu means dance and ki means prostitute. Hence
kabuki is the combination of music, dance and dialogues. The inventor of kabukiis one of the
dancers of Shinto temple, Okuni in 1603. Therefore kabuki used to be acted only by women till
1629. It involves elaborately designed costumes, eye catching make up, outlandish wigs, and
arguably most importantly, the exaggerated actions performed by the actors. Its plots are usually
based on historical events, warm hearted dramas, moral conflicts, love stories,... Show more content

Nowadays this form of performance is spread all over the world especially in European and
Western countries.
In the beginning women were active players of kabuki, but gradually it caused moral corruption in
the theatre. The government prevented women from taking part as actresses to elevate kabuki`s
level from sensuality to spirituality. As the result young men were replaced instead of women for
playing the feminine roles. This group of men was titled as Wakashu. However it was not a proper
solution since homosexuality appeared among actors. This absence of women was occurred in
Shakespearian dramas too as they considered them socially inferior with no right to participate in
public activities.
James. R. Brandon and Samuel .L. Leiter stated: It is commonly said that the chief aim of kabuki
is to be beautiful . The kabuki term`s homonym, kabukimono means the people who wore strange
costumes and passed the streets proudly, in the same way kabuki actors used odd cloths and make
ups according to their characters. The variety of their odd cloths caused many difficulties for actors

TOK Knowledge Essay
The claim Knowledge is nothing more than the systematic organization of facts, has many flaws
in its implications. All of the knowledge that we gain as ToK knowers cannot be considered
infallible fact. The term fact implies that the statement or claim can be reinforced with substantial
evidence and can be proven, and we have learned that almost any information can be considered
knowledge, no matter how subjective or specific the information is. Given that an individual is
defined by having a specific and unique way of thinking and perceiving the world, most of the
knowledge gained in several different Areas of Knowledge are heavily dependent on the
perspectives of the individuals under examination. Both the Areas of Knowledge of Ethicsand
Human Sciences have many ambiguities when it comes to organizing and legitimizing this data.
This leads the knower to ask, What makes information factual in terms of ToK knowledge? It can be
proven through Ethics and Human Sciences that knowledge is not the systematic organization of
facts, but the systematic organization of collective data to show trends and patterns. Ethical
boundaries and impressions are subjective to every individual, and the public ethical boundary must
be based off of the accumulative average of the environment. There is not a factual This is right vs.
This is wrong because no single human being has the authority to make such a statement. In fact, it
is this basic ethical disagreement that has led to

John Doe Construction Failure
Picking the right contractor could mean the difference between an easy and enjoyable experience
and an endless sea of pain and suffering. Regardless of the size of the project, most people would
narrow down the requirements of a good contractor to three general categories: cost, quality, ability
to meet agreed upon time frames. For businesses, the only additional requirement is
communication. As it pains me to say, John Doe Construction failed to meet the basic expectations
above, it also managed to cost us significant amount of money due to delays. The names of the

The name of the first cell phone was called the Dyna Tac. Martin Cooper had worked for a
business called Motorola and he was in a competition with his rival Joel Engel, who had worked
for AT T. Whenever Cooper had made the first cellphone call in history, the person he had called
was his rival Joel Engel from AT T. The Dyna Tac cell phone weighed 2.5 pounds and it was a

To charge the cell phone you would have to leave it alone for 10 hours for it to be completely

not used to things like that then. They thought that it was pretty cool how something like that

With the growing competition in the market, the profitability of the plant had declined which
greatly concerned the top management. After reviewing the situation, it was found that the
human element was the biggest hurdle in achieving the set targets. There was a need to bring in
attitudinal change, as both, the absenteeism and the union interference were high. This union
was formed after the workers had felt that the management was exploiting them. Most of the
workers had been there since the inception of the plant and the turnover was almost negligible.
There was a strong union present in the plant, which was affiliated to INTUC. The plant
managers entered into a long term settlement with the union to set the daily wages and the terms
and conditions of work. The long term settlement was renewed every 3 years. The workers were

Poem Analysis Of The United Fruit Company By Pablo Neruda
Poem Analysis: United Fruit Company by Pablo Neruda Pablo through the poem speaks his
mind of experiences in Latin America by using the company of the United Fruits to describe the
injustices to the locals vividly. Throughout the poem, Pablo uses a great deal of symbolism,
metaphors, and connotations to relate the situation in Chile. The evidence of the setting as Chile
is described in line 8 and 9 where the poet describes it as ...coast of my world....waist of America.
Through the use of the word mu in the 8th line, it is evident that the persona in the poem is Pablo

Therefore, most of the Stanza and the 10th line focus on introducing the reader into the problem
and the perpetrators of the violence. The use of religion is not only symbolic to the inevitable
suffering of the Latin Americans at the Poets country but also is ironical to the end times which
marks massive violence acts against humanity. The aspect is brought to form by the last two
lines which liken the treatment of the Indian bodies being killed as rotten fruits, thrown in a pile
of garbage. The words rotten and garbage bring out the ugly scene of dead bodies surrounded by
flies that feed on the decomposed material, an immense feeling of empathy towards the dead.
Another vice presented by the Poet is the connotation which depicts the back air of the suffering
and torture the Latin Americans go through at the hands of the United Fruits Company. For
example, in lines 12, 19, 23, and 25, words such as sleeping dead, dictatorship, submissive blood,
and tombs are used to indicate the aura of death surrounding the setting of the poem. In some
instances such as line 26, the word flies is used to refer to people who are present in various
caliber under the rule of the company to drain the resources of locals and manipulating them
authoritatively to provide forced labor. The nature of this description is evident in the 28th

Lego s Creative Toy Line
Introduction
The company LEGO officially began in 1932 in Denmark by the skilled hands of the carpenter
Ole Kirk Christiansen, with the help of his son Godtfred, when he was only 12 years old. They
started manufacturing small handmade wooden toys such as cars, trucks, ducklings and piggy
banks, to fortify the family during the depression period. Their best seller where the LEGO bricks.
In the studio where the toys were made, the phrase, Only The Best is Good Enough was painted on
the wall. This vision is utilized until the present day to set the company as quality is of extreme
importance to the brand.
The company expanded rapidly. By 1992, Lego had become one of the top ten global toy
manufacturers. LEGO s creative toy line had become a success worldwide. However, with the
appearance of video games and the failed initial attempt to enter this market, along with competition
from other manufacturers, the Danish company was placed in a difficult situation at the beginning
of the century, leading to immense monetary losses. In order to stop losses, LEGO took measures
such as: shifting part of its production to the Czech Republic and a drastic reduction of its
workforce.
Lego case for change
The case for LEGO s change in strategy was due to the decline in profit and growth. The company
was not up to date with the consumer and market trends. They did not have prepare for future
scenarios or have a contingency plan, thus they were very unprepared for the changes in the toy

Alcohol and tobacco advertisements are created to encounter a certain demographic. Billions of
dollars are spent on advertisements to make sure their product is being sold. An estimated $15
billion is spent each year on tobacco advertising, to drag people in by spreading a message that
people who smoke tobacco are rich and successful people fulfilled with a glamorous life (Walsh).
Both advertisements are aiming for younger crowds because they know that the younger they get
addicted to the product the more they will use it through out their lives. Advertisements play a
big role when it comes to reaching younger crowds and they do this by using relatable things like
celebrities, using younger actors in their commercials, showing how if you use the product you
can have a good time, etc. When a realtor, a car salesman, insurance company, or any one who is
trying to sell you something knows that if you can connect with someone emotionally they are
more likely to agree with you or move forward with the sell because when you connect with

Physics Of A Non Linear Pdes
This work presents a system of a non linear PDEs, which governing the MHD flow of a Homann
nanofluid with heat and mass transfer through a porous medium. The problem is solved
numerically by making use of the finite difference method. The formulas of the velocity
components, temperature and concentration are obtained as functions of the problem physical
parameters. The effects of these parameters on the solutions are illustrated numerically and
graphically through a set of figures to reinforce the parametric study of the fluidflow.
Fig.(2) depicts the Variation of the velocity fields f(О·) f (О·) , the temperatureОё(О·) and the
nanoparticles concentration П•(О·) for different values of the suction parameter S. The velocities
f(О·) and f (О·) increase; while, the temperature Оё(О·) and the nanoparticles concentration
П•(О·) decrease as S increases. Moreover, increasing the Hartmann number Ha increases f(О·), f
(О·)), Оё(О·) and the ambient nanoparticles concentration far from the wall; otherwise, П•(О·)
decreases near the wall as Ha increases as illustrated in Fig.(3).
The results included in Fig.(4) clarify that increasing the permeability parameter ОІ has a marked
effect on decreasing the velocity fields and increasing the temperature values; as a consequence of
the increase in the resistive force on the velocity due to the porosity of the medium. Whereas, the

Too Much Crying isn t a Good Thing
Crying is undoubtedly one of the most common humanistic features when it comes to the emotions
of the average person, due to the fact that every human being has shed tears for which ever
reasons their emotions led them to. However, crying can also be the result of many other issues
and can indicate a serious problem if done continuously and drastically to the point where it
becomes a serious concern. In adolescents, it is more normal to cry as the child may not understand
or know what to do about a situation, leaving them flustered, agitated, sad, angry, or any negative
emotion causing them to cry. With these things being said, when crying is understood to be the
result of an underlying deep rooted issue, the next step is to understand the enforcer that is keeping
the behaviorof crying continuous and figure out exactly how to decrease it to the point of normality.
Crying has also yet to be examined systematically in isolation from other problem behavior, such as
aggression or tantrums, during functional analyses (Hanley, Iwata, McCord, 2003). Identification of
variables that may maintain crying is especially important for populations who are susceptible to
psychiatric interventions (e.g., individuals who have intellectual disabilities and communication
deficits). The current study extended functional analysismethodology to crying with an adolescent
boy who had been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. Results suggested that crying was
maintained by caregiver

The Roar Of Our Stars By Alice X
In the art work, The Roar of Our Stars by Alice X. Zhang, there are numerous details that are
present. In this piece there is a sky that starts off as dark blue and red towards the bottom, but as it
gets to the top it transitions to a less dark blue, and then to a light blue with a touch of a light redon
the left side. Across the sky there are what seems to be hundreds of whitepoints with yellow tints
that start off distinct and small towards the bottom, while growing in size and have a faded look as
they go up the image. These points that represent stars each have red, white, orange, and blueglares
that run up and down vertically. These stars create a cluster towards the top left corner that creates
a slightly blurred white light. Centered on the bottom half of the page, there is a person in a light
brown tweed jacket, a white button up collared shirt with thin strips, and a red bowtie. This brown
haired man is staring up, smiling with his mouth ajar, towards the main cluster of stars that are
creating the light shinning down on him with his hands slightly raised at chest level.

This includes the voltage on the fences around the farm, the temperature of the milk that is in the vat and the activity of the water pump. A constant monitoring system of these three important farming aspects could improve farm profitability. A mobile phone application will be designed to incorporate monitoring of these three activities. If the fences do not have the required voltage on them this can result in animals escaping and injuring themselves. This can be difficult to monitor as currently to do this you are required to be on the farm using a fence tester. The milk temperature is required to be below 7 degrees Celsius within 3 hours by the milk company to ensure it is safe for human consumption. This is done through using chiller machines as if the milk does not reach this temperature in time the entire vat full of milk must be disposed of which causes a loss of income for the ... This paper discusses the differences between the historical cost accounting approach and the fair value accounting approach. The discussion will focus on the debate on using which accounting approach. We begin by stating the definitions of both concepts and discussing them thoroughly, then we state the main advantages of the two approaches followed by comparison between them. The last section of this paper discusses the disadvantages of each approach, including the main criticism points against them. In the end, we draw a conclusion on the best approach to be used in the Accounting profession based on the previous discussion. Introduction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When fair values are estimated using unadjusted or adjusted market prices, they are referred to as mark to market values. If market prices for the same or similar positions are not available, then firms must estimate fair values using valuation models. FAS 157 generally requires these models to be applied using observable market inputs (such as interest rates and yield curves that are observable at commonly quoted intervals) when they are available and unobservable firm supplied inputs (such as expected cash flows developed using the firm s own data) otherwise. When fair values are estimated using valuation models, they are referred to as mark to model values. Advantages of Historical Cost Supporters of Historical Cost Accounting argue that this method has several advantages that make it popular. Some advantages are discussed below. * Historical cost is based on actual, not merely possible, transactions. It is the acquisition price of the assets. The managers only have to record all the assets and liabilities at their acquisition price. Hence they are measured and reported objectively. Historical cost is therefore basically verifiable. Thus, this minimizes the risk of manipulation of figures by the managers. * Historical cost has survived the test of time. Most users of accounting data believe that accounting income is useful and that it constitutes a determinant of the practices and thought patterns of decision makers. * Historical cost is an easier ... • 4. Most Basic Turn In Ballet The most basic turn in ballet is the pirouette, which is a turn around a vertical axis with one supporting foot on the floor. The pirouette is a highly complex and highly organized skill that involves the simultaneous coordination of the head, arms, trunk, knees, and feet (Denari Correa, 2013). There are three stages of a pirouette: the preparation, turn, and landing. Preparation The position and movements preceding the actual turn in the pirouette is called the preparation. Spotting involves choosing one point at which to direct your focus while you turn. As you turn, keep your focus on that one spot and, when you can t look at it any longer, whip your head around and find the spot again. The main purpose of spotting is to prevent dizziness, since research has shown that it does not affect the amount of turns generated. The results from a study suggest that spotting has a negligible effect in generating angular momentum during the double support phase of a pirouette. Another source concurred that the rotational momentum of a turn is a quantity, and that the total rotational momentum of the body can only change if external torque acts on the body. Thus, there is no way that changes in body position alone, which occurs when a dancer spots their head, can change the total rotational momentum (Laws Sugano, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Love, And Platotic Aspects Of Love By William Shakespeare During the English Renaissance, there was a bloom of literature, fueled by the advent of the printing press and the patronage of the nobility. Beginning with Petrarch s popularization of the Italian form, the sonnet became the English mainstay for portrayals of love. The progression of the Renaissance saw the experience of lovedetailed in many different ways through form, allegory, allusion, and metaphor. The fashioning of the love object in sonnets varies from writer to writer and progresses from an outward, ethereal love to an inward love, rooted in reality as the centuries progressed. Petrarchan love objects are larger than life holy in nature, whilst anti Petrarchan loves are human and flawed. Poets of this time grappled with the Platonic conventions of love: What does love mean on the grand scale? What constitutes the ideal experience? Is love a reflection of the holy, or is it a reflection of our most base human qualities? Each poet crafted their image of the love object in varying ways: Francesco Petrarch wrote an idol, Edmund Spenser wrote a genuine, yet ideal woman, William Shakespeare catered to harsh realism, and Lady Mary Wroth wrote of a stormy, imperfect lover. Petrarch is the father of the sonnet and his fashioning of Laura in his vast sonnet cycle set the first bar for portrayals of the beloved in English Renaissance literature. As a member of the clergy and a stringent adherent to the church, Petrarch found his principles and devotion shaken when he beheld ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All of the knowledge that we gain as ToK knowers cannot be considered infallible fact. The term fact implies that the statement or claim can be reinforced with substantial evidence and can be proven, and we have learned that almost any information can be considered knowledge, no matter how subjective or specific the information is. Given that an individual is defined by having a specific and unique way of thinking and perceiving the world, most of the knowledge gained in several different Areas of Knowledge are heavily dependent on the perspectives of the individuals under examination. Both the Areas of Knowledge of Ethicsand Human Sciences have many ambiguities when it comes to organizing and legitimizing this data. This leads the knower to ask, What makes information factual in terms of ToK knowledge? It can be proven through Ethics and Human Sciences that knowledge is not the systematic organization of facts, but the systematic organization of collective data to show trends and patterns. Too Much Crying isn t a Good Thing Crying is undoubtedly one of the most common humanistic features when it comes to the emotions of the average person, due to the fact that every human being has shed tears for which ever reasons their emotions led them to. However, crying can also be the result of many other issues and can indicate a serious problem if done continuously and drastically to the point where it becomes a serious concern. In adolescents, it is more normal to cry as the child may not understand or know what to do about a situation, leaving them flustered, agitated, sad, angry, or any negative emotion causing them to cry. With these things being said, when crying is understood to be the result of an underlying deep rooted issue, the next step is to understand the enforcer that is keeping the behaviorof crying continuous and figure out exactly how to decrease it to the point of normality. Crying has also yet to be examined systematically in isolation from other problem behavior, such as aggression or tantrums, during functional analyses (Hanley, Iwata, McCord, 2003). Identification of variables that may maintain crying is especially important for populations who are susceptible to psychiatric interventions (e.g., individuals who have intellectual disabilities and communication deficits). The current study extended functional analysismethodology to crying with an adolescent boy who had been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. Results suggested that crying was maintained by caregiver ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
